Yup!
Buy some gift cards for amazon.com from purse.io and then apply that gift card to buy miners at amazon.com

I think Bitmaintech, and Avalon can work this out. Look into:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=902305.2980

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951758.0

I would suggest Spondoolies, though they seem pretty limited at the moment. They might have some for sale if your budget will stretch that far. I know the SP20 is no longer for sale.

You should also look at the "Marketplace" section of the overall Bitcoin Forum, See:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

I have never purchased anything at the Marketplace, so you should exercise some caution to not get defrauded.

If you are asking here about where to buy decent hardware miners that mean you are not really pro-miner. So I advise you: If you  want to mine just for fun, or to test what is it like I strongly recommend: think about it all over again. Mining is not profitable anymore for solo miners... You probably don't even get ROI with your miners...

NO NO and NO.  Don't buy on Amazon or Ebay, you will pay way too much.

Check here on the market section for a used btc miner. Like Hazir said, you need to understand that ROI is currently really hard to get. Except if you have a really good electricity price.

Check for a S5, a SP20 or a Avalon4.1 they are the best miners right now.

Title: Re: where can i buy a Bitcoin miner
Post by: valkir on March 16, 2015, 12:51:51 PM
Not really. We still doesnt know any could mining that is perfectly legal and legit. (Maybe hashnest from bitmain or genesis from Spondoolies)

My opinion on clound mining is that you will never ROI using cloud mining. If you want to have some BTC you should then buy some. However if you want to be part of the network and mine some, then I suggest you buy a small miner to start and learn. You will then be able to make your own calculation and buy the best miner for you.

You will receive a ot of advice here but the best one is make your own calculation.  ;)

what are you willing to buy a 1btc miner  or a 2 btc miner.

Or just a little usb stick miner  for 0.07 btc

or some thing in between.  the black usb stick miners in the photo do about 3.5gh

I mine them at ck's solo pool and mmpool.org
One costs about 25  bucks shipped to the USA and one costs about 75 cents a month to run

Stick miners are great but you need the powered hub and everything, personally I suggest an S1 you can pick up for like 30$ grab a cheap psu, a pencil and underclock that homie and solo mine on that. A lot better hashrate and you get more current experience if you're going to get a bigger miner.
USB miners are simple and easy. I have a little Rpi running some U2's and I only see a dollar or two increase on electricity per month(overall). It was where I started to learn about mining on a small scale.

Cloud mining is DUMB and also NOT profitable for anyone except the person charging you fees. CEX.io WAS profitable until the end of last year when they started "black-outs" and charging maintenance fees greater than what the hash produced.

there are many miners or trusted names in the bitcoin market you can always google and search around the forum to get more info .. but personally i think buying 1-or 2 miners are worthless now due to difficulty level ... do share which one you end up buying though if you did

Especially the one he is pushing, the only Cloud mining I can suggest is Hashnest and only if you buy enough shares to have a full miner, that way when it's unprofitable you can have it sent to you and underclock it or sell it but almost all of the rest are pure scams.

Doesn't Hashnest charge a high fee to ship a used miner? May as well buy S4, S5 or UMISOO shares on the Hashnest market, perhaps the new PACMiC. PACMiC (https://www.hashnest.com/contracts/new) return if you reinvest is currently 22% per year.

I bought S5's when they first came out at $380 then when the price shot up to $450 sold my shares at a nice profit and invested in PACMiC contracts.

Nice way of spreading your referrals mate. But I may ask why you are so madly trying to sell people that stupid idea of 'good cloud mining'.
There is no thing like that anymore anymore, sadly too many scams, ponzi, pump&dump. Do not try to tell a newbie that cloud mining is a good way to mine bitcoin.

Hashnest is legitimate cloud mining. Here is a photo of their farm:

https://bitcoincloudmining.link/images/hashnest.png

For someone with power cost over $0.10 per KW at home mining will not be profitable and an option like Hashnest is viable. Also any hashing you buy (with exception of PACMiC contracts) can be sold on the internal exchange at will.

Yes, Bitmain S5 s currently the best home miner you can get. However, I would go with cloud mining if you really insist on mining at all.

Hell ya! I always purchase direct. DO NOT TRY EBAY FROM CHINA!!! I have had too many miners DOA and come with chinese images and small crappy sd cards, or no sd card at all and its some in house optimized crap. Like the A2mega terminator thats listed on ebay with "1 left BUY NOW!" always listed. Stay away from things like that.

Antminer
Spondoolies
Avalon

The only companies I really 100% trust. Watch your power consumption and don't skimp on the power supply if you go for one without. Power supplies can be re-sold for 90% of what you bought them for. Many even have awesome warranties (corsair platinum, Evga, Silverstone just to name a few). Less is more, don't overclock if the ratio of your power needed to your extra earnings is >=1. In fact even if they do cancel out (1 on the nose) still don't overclock it decreases the lifespan of your equipment. Watch the markets for new equipment. Right away when more power efficient equipment starts shipping the value of yours will decrease. Make sure its legal in your area. And your set!

1 or 2 units isnt much.

But, if you want you can just buy sites off ebay, and message the buyer on price terms on how much it goes on the forum to have them re-edit their listing if it doesnt sell.

And have them setup a buy it now price, or you can just buy used units by zoomhash they also accept credit cards as well.

If you're looking forward to being a nerd and playing with a new toy buy an Antminer and get tinkering.

Otherwise get on a hassle free Cloud/Rental service, your ROI is still slim but if you're allowed to redirect the hash to a solo pool you could take a risk and win big.

More hash per dollar, and better efficiency.

So its a bit of gamble if you dont get a really dirty miner you have to clean. But, they offer decent comparable forum prices with the whole credit card option.

the best one is the s5 of course but s3 is much cheaper, and if electricity does not count, then it is probably a better alternative, but only if you can found it for something like 0.5 btc 1/3 of the s5(those are used machines price)

For someone with power cost over $0.10 per KW at home mining will not be profitable and an option like --DELETED-- is viable.

Except ask yourself one question.  Why would any honest actor provide this service?

Let's say the provider lives in an area where he is allowed to steal electricity from the local taxpayers (artifically subsidized power costs, such as in China or wherever).  Let's say the provider has the hardware to actually do the hashing.

It's clear that a dishonest provider could run a scam by renting out hashing power for more than it earns.  But assuming the provider is honest, under what circumstances would it be more profitable for the provider to rent out that hashing power than it would be to just use it?

... crickets chirp ...

That's right!  No circumstances at all!

Making a deal with someone who makes less profit in that deal than s/he would by not making it, is asking to be ripped off.  Because it's dead solid that no such actor would be there if they aren't trying to rip you off.

OP you buy anything?

For a hobby miner rockminer.com the "new r-box" is PERFECT.  Only draws 110 watts.

For a little more beats mode:

Bitmain or spondoolies.

I have purchased from Rockminer twice, Bitmain 3 times.

Each time miners came with in a week, great condition.  My S3's have been mining straigh, no issues for over a year. (Buy an S3 from kijij is a smart move they are cheap now).

My "new r-box" has been running for over 6 months no issues, I use it to mine my fav altcoin to increase it's secuirty.

better to buy one used, you will achieve roi faster, no need to go for the new toy in the mining scene

Hi! Can you tell me please what is ROI there?
Thanks!

I try cloumining  on mininswdeden !!

ROI is so individual there is not one size fit's all.  Likely it depends on electricity prices in most cases.   But there could be much more to it.

What is your electricity price?

only thing I know about..... 8gh stock usb stick 25 bucks with 6 bucks shipping (2 for 56 bucks) works just pop'd mine up and up to 3 of them at 6 buck shipping price

now the only ROI is a smile :) but what the heck ..if you need to get a miner at least you won't get burnt....

can't be beat)

anyway ...will get me thru them 'cold nights' when the last of my home miners are doorstops (home mining is dead) :(

and I also got a bitseeds v2 bitcoin node device just so when that happens last year I can still feel I'm contributing something to the network :)

(withdrawal symptoms ...whatever helps the home miner withdrawal  ..trying to be proactive) :)

You should try cloud mining. Check my signature.

^^^  SHILL!

Cloud mining is DUMB and also NOT profitable for anyone except the person charging you fees. CEX.io WAS profitable until the end of last year when they started "black-outs" and charging maintenance fees greater than what the hash produced.

DO NOT BUY CLOUD HASH

it is a SCAM, IMOTHO :)

Cloud hashing I really don't understand.  Why don't the owners just use there own hashing power to mine.  Unless they sell the hashing power for lower then what is potentially mined it doesn't make sense.  Except for the fact of the instant BTC payment for buying the hashing power.

There is just really no money in it.

Update, today started a new campaign with btlend basically allow you to buy and share using the btlend pay after 90 days !!
In addition you are using the code btclend you have 12% discount!
To use it:
1: register on the site: https://www.miningsweden.se     ref -->  https://www.miningsweden.se?affiliates=118
2: create a wallet here: https://wallet.btclend.org           ref -->  https://wallet.btclend.org/Account/Referral/FKnmIkC
3: go to the shop and pick the product
4: insert  discount code btclend
5: you have 90 days to pay, logically interests 0.

No, you can not ask for the documents cheating !!

Ps: those who want to offer me a cup of coffee you use my ref !!

cloud mining now is not profitable, There have been plenty of scams and frauds in the Bitcoin community.

;D amazon.com provides BTC miners

NO NO and NO.  Don't buy on Amazon or Ebay, you will pay way too much.

Check here on the market section for a used btc miner. Like Hazir said, you need to understand that ROI is currently really hard to get. Except if you have a really good electricity price.

Check for a S5, a SP20 or a Avalon4.1 they are the best miners right now.

Have you bought from anyone on here?  Can you recommend anyone I can trust?   How would I know to trust someone?  When I buy on eBay I can get a pretty good price and I read hundreds of real reviews from independent people.  If something is wrong, I know who they are and can dispute the transaction, etc.

well this was your fault, used should cost much less, actually the s3 should cost 100 even if it is new, but anyway this isn't an excuse to not spend less by bying an used one

Well, actually it wasn't my my fault  :) and that was almost like a year ago so $150 would be a fair price at the time, the problem was IMO that those antminers were severely damaged somewhere inside and that was concealed by pretty nice exterior look.

So my point is if buying used you should be a real expert and in that case you can even save some money.

Saw an sp10 on ebay for 250 usd (not sure if it incl shipping or not) so for the heck of it I plug'd in the figures on it. Main reason is i remembered the PSU was included THOUGHT
MAYBE I could get it as a 'small loss' toy? (no such luck)

www.tradeblock.com (http://www.tradeblock.com)

1400 gh

1200 watts

250 buy it price (was optimistic free shipping)

the PSU is built in (no additional costs on sp10 units)

 pool fee 0

the standard 7% rate the chart used

13.5c kwh

I ONLY lost 35 bucks a month. From my use of a Titan and Jupiter (some for the jupiter) last winter my gas bill for the furnace was down 35 bucks a month on budget..soooooo
assuming the sp10 used the same juice (prob a bit more) and gave off the same heat as the jupiter 550gh unit (retired) I would make a  whole ONE DOLLAR OVER MY GAS BILL SAVINGS DUE TO ITS SPACE HEATER QUALITIES :)

yeah i was kinda annoyed also but I put this out their for my friends out here from Oregon USA or other parts of the world with cheap electric (prob in the 5c range) perhaps
you can make use for this info....I mean its a lot of work for a buck profit for the winter and use as  a space heater in my area :) FML

Send me half the money you were prepared to spend on a miner.

I will take the money and send you nothing.

Now, you will have more money than you will ever have by trying to mine with a single miner in today's crazy high difficulty.

ebay miners are very overpriced, you get the occasionally cheap one, but in general they are not worth it

i would suggest in the market section, for a better deal, or from the producer directly

My opinion is to bid on eBay.  Do not use a buy it now for it will be overpriced, but bid instead.  This way you will be able to get a better price, for the auctions have the tendency of running lower than anyone is willing to sell them for.  Some will vote against this, but I have tried it and it worked out pretty well.  I am only mining small, but hey, mining is mining.

It has amazing buyer protection, but you'll pay a hefty markup for that protection.

I sell on Amazon myself and they basically force you to cover any expenses Amazon incurs including charge backs, and of course if the unit gets damaged during shipment the customer is not obligated to return the item... Yeah that's not a joke.  Read the terms of service.

Ebay is a good place to buy miners, but i would indulge you to consider the BCT market place:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

On Ebay too many people are too much for their miners. Then, in the market place you will find more reasonable prices. And if they are not reasonable you will hear from experts (the members).

A couple months ago /Yj2MhG]bitcoins (http://[Suspicious link removed) were only $115. Now they are nearly $900. I see this as a huge investment opportunity.

With my Radeon 7850 OC, I'm currently mining at a steady 300mhashes/s. But that wouldn't be very profitable since the electricity cost. I see ASIC miners on Amazon which I know are great for mining bitcoins. For $480, you can get a 40ghashes/s ASIC miner. If you got two, that would be 80ghases/s and earn 0.0183 BTC per day going 24/7. This would also cost about $2.70 per day if it used 750w of power. In one year, you would make a total of $4,623 minus the $986 cost of electricity, minus the $1,250 cost of build, leaves you with $2,390 profit in one year.

My question is, is /5kazuj]bitcoin mining stable (http://[Suspicious link removed)? Will I buy the parts and then bitcoins crash or something? Is it really worth mining?

480$ for 40ghs? Something is not right...

if you have expensive bills cost then you're kinda forced to do so, i can't see other options besides renting asic to unknown guy on the internet which is far worse than almost any cloud

otherwise you simply don't mine, like myself, i'm stuck also with 0.20 in electricity....

Living in Canada so I bought an antminer S3 from  http://bitcoinware.net/  the price was lower when I bought it 6 months ago and I had also sent him a private message and he lowered the price for me. Never had a problem with the antminer. 3 weeks ago I bought an antminer s1 and he took 10% off the price.  Running great also! Also bought a antminer u3 for 40 US$ on eBay.  All 3 items where free shipping.  They all run great with very low HW error rate.
Oh and this is my first post so hello to everyone!

I check their site and they as 170 USD for a antminer S3.. Dafuq?

I think it is better then to buy at bitmain or spondoolies directly. Go for a S7 or so, or try to buy a S3 for 100 usd max, on ebay.
If you send him a message you can negotiate the price .I didn't pay 170$US for the S3  ;D
I do agree that the price is a little hight, but having bought an S3 and S1 from him, I can tell you that the products he sells are in great working order.  He stand by his products and answer messages if you would have any issues once you get the products.

Yeah instead of that we can buy Bitcoin mining machine and we can use that. In that Hash code one is good I feel Because It has silver, gold and platinum editions In these platinum edition comes with most powerful gigahertz module  and you can earn 0.2 to 0.8 BTC per day

our friend works at a place where he can have free electricity so he bought a cheap S2 for 50$ off craigslist thats about 800 gh cause some boards arnt working.  If you have no cost for electricity then craigslist is worth a look and sometimes can get something super cheap.

What Avalon miner would be equivalent to the newest antminer by price and performance? I'm looking to grow my farm.

really best place is bitmaintech.com, order direct for an antminer, but you have to pay duties on import/taxes.  other places there is too much markup.  or buy an avalon 6 off blockc i think.

on many sites I should order in large numbers but I only want 1 or 2 miners..BTCBTC

The best place to buy Bitcoin miners is without any doubt Bitmain. There actually the cheapest and most trusted mining company in the industry. The only problem when you buy from them is that you will have other serios costs from customs since the miners come from China!

Ebay or here is a good place to look, usually get good deals here especially if you are looking at purchasing more than 1 unit.

Normally forum price here is less then ebay.  But ebay you get buyer protection if it craps out or is a dud.  So there are advantages on both.

But as far as price it's going to be cheaper here on the forum.  Just make sure to use escrow when buying something that big.

Bitcoin Mayner can be anywhere, most importantly, if there is a desire.  But you need to choose a place with cheaper electricity

In the event that you are getting some information about where to purchase ok equipment excavators that mean you are not by any stretch of the imagination genius digger. So I prompt you: If you need to dig only for no particular reason, or to test what is it like I firmly prescribe: consider everything over once more. Mining isn't gainful any longer for solo miner.. You likely don't get ROI with your miner.
