Title: Free Custom Wallpapers/Graphics
Post by: Jfqs6m on May 26, 2011, 05:10:58 AM
Hey guy's, I've been working with 3D graphics (modeling and effects) for a while now and I've been making wallpapers for myself and I thought it would be a cool idea to not only practice my skills but give some people cool wallpapers that they want in the mean time!

So to be honest I'm not in this for the money. I want this to be my career and I need to practice. So I would gladly do this for everyone for free! Keep in mind more complex images will take MUCH longer to do, and also that I'm still learning the trade so something as detailed as a professional grade image most likely won't get done (Sorry...).

So please, post something here or drop me an e-mail at TehWallpaperGuy@gmail.com (Teh not the) with a description of what image you want including...

A. What you want it to be!
- Make this as detail/vague as you want. The more vague it is, the more creative input there is on my end.

B. How you want it to look. (Realistic, Cartoony, Iconic, etc... )
- Check out some of my work at my blog at the bottom of this post for some examples of above.

C. The resolution.
- Give me the best resolution to render these images at so it doesn't look like junk on your monitor.

D. Any other details you can think of!
- Text? Effects? Anything!

Keep in mind that I am one guy that has been working with rendering for about a month now so I'm no professional. I do work a full time job so I might not get to requests right away, so if I don't respond it means I'm busy! =X

Like I said I'm no professional but I think we could make some pretty cool stuff with this and if I made something you like feel free to donate!

My Blog with previous projects on it http://twpg.blogspot.com/

PS: If you see something you like that I've already made, ask for a re-render in a different resolution!

Recently, I am leaning graphics/image processing (http://www.rasteredge.com/dotnet-imaging/image-processing/), such as adding annotation, creating watermark, etc. I include different image formats in my application, like tiff, png, jbig2 (http://www.rasteredge.com/formats/jbig2/) and so on.
