For the record, my BTC brass line of coins were never funded by me. Those are likely unmarked coins (with a laser) that the buyer funded before I shipped the coins to them.

I'ts pretty tough to say. All coins are compromised but only a few were minted, and they are all top notch quality. I'm a short term seller, not a long term one which is why I'm selling all of my coins and I'll buy some new ones soon.

I'd probably say that these will gain some value, but not as much a Casascius coin would.

I decided that I will reserve 2 bars for myself (one of which I am open to sell if there is a demand), which means there is just one slot left.

Unfortunately yes. I know that I am going to charge a 25$ flat charge for all orders. I will probably over pay for some but underpay for others, so it will balance.

The rough cost is still coming, probably going to be around 50$ excl shipping.

Okay, so the price will be as follows:

0.075BTC + 15$ + 25$ + 5$

What each means:

-0.075BTC is one tenth of the deposit I've made
-15$ is one tenth of the remaining deposit (this amount will be converted to BTC when I pay the remaining deposit)
-25$ flat for international shipping with tracking. (to be converted before I ship)
-5$ for a small profit for me :) (to be converted with the shipping amount)

This will come to about 63$, close to the cost of a single bar + tracking from f*D (and about 13$ if you don't live in the US!).

Just to throw my hat in the ring, I will likely offer 5 of my bars #16-20 to the forum at low cost.  I don't wish to make any formal lists now or deal with orders/money/PMs yet.

I may suggest that miffman handle all overseas people, and myself/minerjones handle all US people.  minerjones ordered Real bitcoins and both he and I have bars each.

Perhaps miffman and minerjones could start a new thread and consolidate lists of people wanting the Real bitcoins and Bars?  The bars/coins will both be ready at the same time, it sounds like.

I personally see no need for US buyers to get hit with added shipping fees.  

Thanks for the suggestion. I feel like no matter who I choose to ship with, it will now be with someone in the US. Maybe I will organise with someone to just handle all of my orders then. If I handle international orders, it will be shipping to me and then shipping again, it would just be cheaper one way.

I would normally be shipping from South Africa, but I know the price would average out at 25$ per shipment. It was pointed out that I would significantly bring the price down if I had a US distributer since F*D is located in America, and shipping to US customers there is much cheaper. I can't say what the price will be from the US to other places since I don't know the pricing system.

I will have a proper price by Friday or Saturday, whenever I pay my remaining deposit. I will try to organise something before then.

And if all else fails, I'll absorb some of the shipping cost and just ship from here. I do want to make this a success group buy, so I can gauge whether I should do more of them in the future.

I just received my f*D bar and it looks and feels amazing. However, it's scratched quite badly and has a noticeable dent. Not very happy about that.

Well, I don't want you to have a scratched coin nor do I want to deal with international shipping again (shipping takes so much time and it's so much money going down the drain), but this is a bummer. I'll just wait for now and see what you can do.

Was the box all smashed up? When I shipped them out they were already wrapped so without opening the factory packaging I had no way to actually see the bars.

The box was intact, no dents or anything, and the factory packaging wasn't opened. The coin itself was wrapped in bubblewrap and another layer of protective material (see picture).

I added the bubble wrap - everything inside the plastic baggie came that way to me (I never opened any of them). Looks like your bar was messed up from the mint then  :-\

Just unpacked my bar. The bar looks great but it seems like I was also a bit unlucky. There are quite a few small scratches, a few marks and an imperfection/dent/rough corner. I'll post some pictures in a minute.
The bar itself looks lovely, but the imperfections take away from it.

Mine also has a few imperfections. These were very inexpensive so I was not expecting a perfect bar though. I can say overall I am happy with mine.

I agree that the bar both looks and feels amazing. Obviously nothing can be done about the bars now but it's probably just something to note for the future. Maybe F*D would speak to the manufactures about it to prevent it from happening again.
I'm actually a bit surprised that quite a few were processed despite the imperfections. I'd have thought that the bars would have had to pass through some quality test/review.

Anyway, thanks both to Miffman and Blazed for sorting this out and for the flawless transaction. Much appreciated :)

Sorry to hear that all of you have some imperfections on your bars. If it were just a single case of this, I would have considering replacing it personally, but since it's more than one case it would be unfair on the others. I can still message f*D however.

I never really looked at mine that closely. But I dont remember any imperfections. When I get home in a few days Ill look again
