Title: So we can reply and post in the "Archival" board?
Post by: worhiper_-_ on March 22, 2015, 06:24:08 AM
Just, why? What's the point? Is this something that was forgotten?

I think that posts that end up there should be locked automatically.

it could be because only a thread starter can lock the topic and before they asked mod to delete the topic and moved them to archival , they didnt lock the topic, that could be why that we could still reply on a thread in archival

Some topics in archival might still be worth discussing.

There's also obsolete buying/selling threads.

Archival is where threads go to be "deleted" but not out of public sight for those that may need to look for it in the future. Threads go to the trashcan if they may need to be found again by staff, but not by the public, and threads are very rarely "deleted".

Why you can post in Archival is sort of not important, information is still public there, but its a good way of knowing that a thread is concluded.
