1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auctus - Smart Contract Powered Retirement Planning on: June 04, 2018, 05:35:48 PM
Hi everyone!

A few updates:

 - As explained on the bounty thread, blog and Telegram, the distribution was made using a smart contract system and it was opened for more than a week. Unfortunately, there is nothing else we can do for those who missed the deadline. It was always said the bounties would be distributed one week after the end of the token sale.
 - Our team has been working hard on the next development milestone, which is the Beta release, scheduled for Q3 2018 (between July and September). You can track recent updates at https://blog.auctus.org/auctus-community-update-21f0618e89f7 and https://blog.auctus.org/apply-to-become-an-auctus-expert-59c7642498c3 and also on our GitHub.
 - In May we attended some blockchain events, including the ETHBuenosAires conference and hackathon. We have already published reviews for two of the events on our blog and the next one will be about ETHBuenosAires, which was an official ETHGlobal event. Latest reviews:
https://blog.auctus.org/blockchain-festival-review-d175e6be96d0
https://blog.auctus.org/blockchain4devs-review-fe908070e29b

The AUC token is again listed for community voting on Ethfinex. You can show support by voting. The team has applied for other exchanges and we have ongoing discussions, but we will only announce names and dates when they are 100% confirmed.

It’s awesome!
I hope that it is only the beginning!  Wink

Was unsold tokens burned?

Any updates from dev team?

Yes, unsold tokens were burned when the "finish" method of the smart contract was executed right after the closing of the token sale.

The AUC token will be listed on CoinMarketCap.com with total and circulating supply very soon.

The dev team is currently supporting some post-ICO tasks, such as the distribution of some bounties and tournament prizes and submission of exchange listing application forms. After that, the team will fully focus on the development of the platform.

The AUC token is currently traded on Etherdelta/Forkdelta and IDEX, and will be listed on Bancor very soon.

Thank you all for the support.

Howdy devs, can you please clarify what is an inferior limit of my donation in your ICO and pre-ICO?

Hi! There is no minimum, you can participate with any amount of ETH you want. Just make sure to follow the steps at https://blog.auctus.org/how-to-participate-in-the-auctus-token-sale-4051bbbcc716 and be extra careful because of scammers sending emails and contacting people on Telegram pretending to be from the team.

Hello, can somebody clarify what "15% bonus" means?
Is it only for new purchases?
Or for the whole 1st round?
And what about pre-sale investors?
 Huh

p.s. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that initially there was no word about any 2nd round at all.  Huh

You are correct. Initially, we were not planning a second round.

The bonus is not for new purchases, it is for the people that already participated, including pre-sale investors.

Pre-sale investors will have additional 15% on top of the previous bonus and people that invested between March 27 and March 31 will get the 15%.

The decision of offering this bonus was made because the conversion rate of people with completed KYC that actually participated in the token sale was badly influenced by the bearish market. The token sale period was too short (4 days) and we decided to extend it. To compensate people that already contributed, we decided to use bounty tokens that were not used and would be in the hands of the team.

Millennials Speak Out About Investing In Cryptocurrencies For Retirement Funds

Yet while the future looks bright for using cryptocurrency to save for retirement, a recent survey from Auctus, a smart contract-powered retirement planning platform, shows that more work still needs to be done.

While many millennials admit to owning cryptocurrencies, 6% out of 501 American millennials surveyed by Auctus noted that they would consider using cryptocurrencies as an investment option for their retirement plan. While this number is notable, the CEO of Auctus, Raphael Vantroost, is hopeful that blockchain-based solutions will help encourage more young people to put forth cryptocurrency for their retirement portfolios.

Disclaimer: I am from the team, so do your own research

Take a look at Auctus (https://auctus.org/).

Auctus has launched the alpha platform before the ICO (https://platform.auctus.org/), has established a lot of partnerships and the token sale starts next week.

When we are dead, it's not what we HODL or SODL that matters. It's what we BUIDL

So I advise everyone to think about that and BUIDL. Those who BUIDL do seem to enjoy it and look happier than the rest of us.

With that in mind, we have launched an integration lab for projects building on Ethereum platform:

I welcome you to take a look at Auctus, but I am from the team and you should do your own research.

Auctus has a working alpha, joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, has strong partnerships and the Token Sale will start in one week.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google Bans All Cryptocurrency Ads, Will It Will Lead to Their Downfall? on: March 20, 2018, 02:10:21 PM
I personally think it is a good thing for a few reasons.

1. It stops the ICOs with the biggest budget simply steamrolling great innovative projects. Any website can get clicks and views if they have a huge marketing budget for Google Adwords.

2. It forces ICOs to think outside of the box and reach their communities in other ways, platforms like Crowdholding will be the future, as no longer will they be able to just spam people to come to their site, but will have to engage them through co-creation.

3. It gives more power to bounties, people will spread the word of the ICO that has either got the best bounty campaign or a project they believe in. Although bounties can be manipulated by offering large sums, it is still better than google Adwords.

The only thing I don't like is that Google is clearly trying to strangle crypto. It's just underhand tactics to break the price, so they can invest into it or scare off users of crypto.

I agree with you.

Banning ads on Facebook, Google and Twitter is a good thing for cryptocurrencies and blockchain projects.

People should do their own research and learn more about the projects before investing.

I have been working with a project for the past 9 months and we are doing fine without scammy ads everywhere, organically growing because of the development progress and partnerships.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Guide ★ Don't Panic on: March 20, 2018, 01:46:24 PM
I would like to contribute, if possible.
My team has been preparing for our token sale for the last 9 months. We saw a lot of changes regarding regulation, preparation, and how ICOs are evaluated.

I will join your groups and share my opinion regarding a lot of things that are bad for this space. We have been working on conducting a token sale following strict best practice guidelines and after 9 months observing all kinds of scams and low-ball offerings, I think I can help.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO VS TRADING on: March 19, 2018, 11:16:14 PM
You should always do your own research. Investing in crypto is risky, there is a lot of phishing attempts targeting less experienced users.

If you think about investing in an ICO, you should check the team, advisors, development progress and understand what the project is about and why the token matters.

There are still good opportunities out there, but you need to know where to look for them.

Hey guys! Saw the whitepaper, and I think it's great! Very professional and authentic. May I ask where you are now based on your roadmap?

Sure!

We released a demo for a retirement plan using smart contracts in November 2017 and we started working on strategic partnerships.

Our goals for Q1 2018 were: Strategic Partnerships, Development of Alpha Auctus Platform, and Initial token sale.

In terms of Strategic partnerships, what we have achieved so far is:
The strategic partnerships and working collaborations include big companies from the traditional industry (the latest announcement being Prudential Financial) and other successful Ethereum projects, the latest being Bancor (and previously Cofound.it, Ripio Credit Network, among others).

We also joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and MAMA (Multichain Asset Management Association, led by Melonport).

Development of the Alpha platform:
We released the alpha ahead of time, one month earlier than expected. You can test it at https://platform.auctus.org/ or read more about it on our blog post announcement: https://blog.auctus.org/the-auctus-platform-mvp-is-live-e145543cd7bc

Next step:
We are going to have our token sale this month, starting on March 27th.
KYC submission is about to close, but there's still time!

what's BTCzilla? if i understand correctly, it's an exchange? the name is a little bit repelling))

i  have took a look ,a webisite like icodrops ,approved some ico project and crypto news ,not bad .i add my bookmark .

btc dropped again ,i hope will not affect Auctus  crowd-sale ,march 27 will recover everything .really hope .

dont worry too much ,market will recover soon ,again and again ,the important thing you should hold your tokens or coins .

yeah but as we know the market  is falling down ,do you make a decision to invest Auctus  project ?

Our goal is to raise a total of 20 million dollars. The market fluctuation that has been going on the last few days will not affect our goal since we still haven't fixed the ETH/USD rate.

We will set the ETH/USD price closer to the ICO and the ICO will only go on for 4 days, so we won't be too exposed to the fluctuation.

People should not be concerned about the market. It is a good opportunity to buy cheap ETH to participate.

We are more worried about keeping the good news coming than about the market going down.

We have a lot more going on to announce before March 27th! Stay tuned!
