Manuel Martin, founder of Orvium was interviewed recently by Peter Keay from the Bitgenstein’s Table, the Crypto Philosophy Podcast. The podcasts begins with a great introduction by Peter about how the academic publishing in scientific and medical fields is central to much of society. Peter then dives into the discussion with Manuel about his role in CERN for the past 12 years and then talk about the main problems in the current scientific publishing model. Listen to the full podcast here: https://anchor.fm/bitgensteinRead the full transcription here: https://media.icoalert.com/podcast-bitgenstein-cern-blockchain Thanks for sharing this with all of us! Great to hear Manuel himself speak

Latest news: Codex Protocol has partnered with OpenSea!
OpenSea is the largest peer to peer marketplace for crypto goods, and this partnership will allow Codex Protocol to extend cross-platform services for tokenized digital collectibles. The crypto-collectibles and digital goods industry is booming, and Codex is excited to stay at the forefront of the space.
Codex with Opensea? I'm sure Codex will expand the partnership again with a number of companies or platforms, maybe they should work with network security platforms like Rivetz, because Codex also needs that Why do you feel that it is important for Codex to work with network security platforms at this moment?

Nice share! Thanks, check it out guys! When Maersk’s container ships embark on their voyages around the world over the next few months, their hulls will be tracked and insured via a blockchain- based system. Blockchain will also be used to help decide how the ships will be insured if they sail through war zones.
The shipping company has teamed up with the consultancy EY, insurers XL Catlin and MS Amlin and the broker Willis Towers Watson to create a system which, they hope, will lead to more efficient insurance policies that are more tailored to what Maersk needs.Cool article, and pretty relevant for Smart Containers as well: https://www.ft.com/content/2b579948-47ce-11e8-8c77-ff51caedcde6Worth a read! Yep, Smart Containers tokens SMARC will be quite a long hold. It may be a 10 year hold type for maximum profits, unless teleportation is invented and adopted. Holding could also potentially maximise value on the dividend gains

Orvium is a project aimed at solving the problem that society is concerned with is the transparency of the life cycle of publications. Will scientists subscribe to their publications on the Orvium platform? How is the fee calculated?
Good question, Fees are paid in ORV tokens, the specifics on fees will be shared once the MVP that's currently in works is finished. Will definitely keep you all updated. Be sure to join the Telegram Announcement channel: https://t.me/orvium_announcements Once the MVP is ready I think that many people will finally have the chance to get a proper impression of what is being built here. Indeed, i agree with your sentiments. Give the team some time to properly work on the MVP and when it's ready, i bet people will be astonished by it Not sure if I would bet on it as the community that likes projects like this is small compared to other apps. Many people won't even understand that advantages of the app as they don't know what it is good for. People may not be as familiar with Academia projects as they are with others, but i believe that once word gets out on this project and the market picks up steam & traction once again, the wider audience will be amazed by the sheer size of the industry that its about to tackle

Hello guys! Who do you consider to be your main competitor? Where can I find a video about the idea? Send me the link pleeeease
Hey Methohatsu, in our field at the moment there are no competitors that went to the token sale and listing. Though there are several ones ranging from the traditional publishers like elsevier. And I believe it is an excellent and exciting time to change that unfair situation once and for all. There is no video about it but here is the white paper link https://orvium.docsend.com/view/nvr6ywjand an executive summary that explains the current problems with science publication and how Orvium is the solution: https://orvium.docsend.com/view/b2zb484
