First of all there is a backtrack to 1,300 LTC from 13,000 LTC to justify that they didn't see the extra amount withdrawn. This would have only been less than $2,000 and thus might have been easily detected by you.

Furthermore, you do not release the trading history for us to analyse. You might have been stealing 50 LTC at a time using a malleability transaction bug, and in total this summates to 1,300 LTC.


Would you care to elaborate or present a video of what the problem is? It is very easy to setup fraps to capture the errors you may be experiencing. There may also be delays in processing your withdrawal or deposit. The number of confirmations required is actually more than is stated in the portal to prevent transaction malleability fraud. This is normal for bter...

I think withdrawals are manual. 

It's a ponzi. It's puffery, so effectively it's a gambling game, but there is a difference between a dodgy and fair ponzi. It is clear that it is a ponzi that cannot guarantee payments without further deposits. You can see this by reading up on how the scheme works, and the program even writes "ponzi" in their name which is a dead giveaway. It's a bit like those department stores that say "Price Match Guarantee", but they never seem to price match and ask you to go to the other store.

Returning to the ponzi elements:

If the program reaches a stage where deposits are no longer occurring at a reasonable pace:

A fair ponzi would most likely redistribute any residual amount amongst the unpaid participants and then close the program.

A dodgy ponzi makes no such claims and runs off with your coins, seeking only to profit.

The question, which one is this? I mean there is nothing to lose for newbies setting up a ponzi because they aren't hurt by negative feedback "trust", so I'm more inclined to not invest in this program.

I agree, this is a big scam to harvest slave labour and ride off bitcoin's popularity... The problem is that you can earn this money anywhere on the internet and then buy bitcoins... I don't know why so many people fall prey to these tactics by these webmasters.

When the price goes higher, shorters usually add to their shorts because they believe the price will crash.

I've just conducted my first transaction on BTC-E after coming across from Bter.

I noticed that btc-e pay 0.0005 network transaction fees whilst bter pays 0.0001. Both transactions make it to the next block.

That goes to explaining why btc-e charge a higher bitcoin withdrawal fee. I also noticed that due to this fee, sometimes it may be more favourable to conduct a transaction on bter after accounting for the reduced fee.

Apparently another $160 went into the account a few hours ago whilst I was sleeping. o_O?

That picture is misleading... Especially the counting part. You could go through all the numbers 2^256 across a lifetime if you wanted to with a computer that was fast enough. I think it would have to assume some kind of minimum period between the counts.

I don't believe it has anything to do with the total number of atoms or matter in the world. I'm pretty sure there are more than 2^256 atoms just on earth. Many times more in the universe.

Unless of course someone is just sending $0.40 of bitcoins into a void. Although, I'm more inclined to think that someone has cracked it.

I remember there was an article about generating the first few characters, up to 30 is really fast. It's the last few which are harder. So, the question still remains about whether due to the NSA issues, whether the cryptography is still safe.

Any hints on what the speeds should be like?
