1  Economy / Scam Accusations / scammed on this site by lmostrose in mining contract on: September 30, 2014, 02:30:36 AM
How else can I go about reporting this user lmontrose and get justice! His profile says he is from Canada, which anyone can say they are from wherever. But I reported him months ago to IC3.org and have called them and they act like it is no big deal! This is bullshit! I lost over $400 sigining up for a mining contract and even mesaged the admins of this site and they dont respond.

It's a scam.

I lost money on this too.  By saying he upgraded to Titans he can drag this out for months longer before vanishing.  Plus they aren't even in the same price range are they?  So how could he afford to upgrade to them and still compensate everyone who purchased a percentage.

He's provided no evidence of anything and hasn't even put the list together.  Even if by some miracle he was legit and just lazy like that other dude said he was, the odds of this lazy guy actually distributing profits to everyone are near zero based on his terrible management skills so far.

Just one more loss for me in the Bitcoin universe.
Actually the Titans cost the exact same as the Neptunes so there is a possibility plus the ship date for titans is Q2/Q3 so eh maybe we will see something of this after all but don't get your hopes up.

And Titan is scrypt not sha-256
From KNC site:
Titan is our first scrypt mining product and will be shipping in Q2/Q3 of 2014.

He sent me a PM saying
Quote
Sorry, I had hardware issues and took a while to get my password back as my email account got hacked.  I was able to get the domain fixed and finally got my email to reset this password.  I am back now though and the good news is I was able to upgrade the Neptunes to Titans!  I will let you know when I have it and mining begins.

I just got same PM

7  Other / Meta / Re: how to contact admin of site on: April 08, 2014, 01:55:46 AM
theymos is admin and in theory you can PM him.

I am however sure he gets - a lot - of PMs and I am pretty sure he will not reply to all.

Generally if you have a question about bitcointalk or whatever you can also just ask it here.

* also this topic should be in forum "Meta", I think you can move it with the link "Move Topic" on the bottom left. But I also reported it so a moderator could move it.

sorry didnt know meta meant admin posts. thanks for the move

also just a note the poll you linked to is no good if you can't verify who is voting as anyone can simply vote or use a proxy ect

This is true, i just found it as a quick poll to put up. More than we have had so far lol.

I also vote for refund I mean, at this rate we won't be able to have a ROI over 100%

Maybe we should create our own spreadsheet and voting page.

I created a voting poll for refund or wait.

Follow the link below to vote

So where is everyone moving to trading till they figure something out? Mintpal? Glad I dont have all my eggs in one basket!
Am guessing buy CTM on Mintpal and unload it on coinex when it opens back up?

That could work, it is low as usual Wink

I already asked him the spreadsheet by PM and I think I'm not the only one...
You can see that he not really interested in posting the spreasheet.
I'm starting to think that he will not post it.

Now i'm only hoping that's not a scam in the end.

The threads lmontrose posts is reason to believe it is not a scam.  While avoiding this thread is just very lazy.  Modern day miners can be plenty lazy it seems.  He confirmed tht he was aware of the request for a spreadsheet to me via PM a couple weeks back at least.  I would like the question of refund from KNC to go to vote as I know there is that option until the shipping, and it seems there are more than a few here that listed shares for sale..

I second that, at least I can get back .6 btc to put toward an antminer which is a lot less btc value than when we paid lmonstrose the .6 btc.
The lack of communication and given the money we have sent and no spreadsheet showing payment is unacceptable, there are plenty of people here that have run successful GB that he could have asked for help.

Actually at this point since my miners haven't come online and it's been 9 contacts back and forth (email, pm, help ticket for hosting via sushi-review) of mostly me repeating my worker names and pool. I world really like a full refund of my three miners and hosting. I paid in full on the 7th (4ceec2b012d2852b77f02dc7c0657e5a9a3f8767c21ad05cebfbf2e86442b08) Your service has great reviews from other people in this forum but at this point I have lost faith and politely request a full refund.

I sent my worker information for eligius.st pool and the official response via email was "This is not a mining share contract." I'm out.
Sushi if in fact you do refund, I may be interested in buying 1 or 2 of the miners, but would
want them shipped to the US . Thanks

I'll take the third one!

Hopefully this will relieve any distress my distress causes. Smiley I hope to hear back from anyone from sushi-review. Thank You!

Sushi if you do make a refund, and then sell to these waiting buyers, my payment TXID is https://www.biteasy.com/blockchain/transactions/74ceec2b012d2852b77f02dc7c0657e5a9a3f8767c21ad05cebfbf2e86442b08 . You could even post the new TXID as public proof of refund. Thank you for your time!

Not feeling optimistic just played a game of 5 am email tag asking for my miner password for eligius. I know part of the issue is how I write, but this isn't what I expected. I found the website first and how this is being carried out is very different than what I expected. Please just refund my order and sell to an eager and  willing buyer.

After being told I did not supply the information for the miners I asked for a refund. My miners magically came online without me supplying any new info. I still want the refund I requested. I contacted you through every channel available to me before the miners were set up. Please take the miners offline and send the difference in BTC to my address. I don't enjoy playing games like this, please, just refund the order.

i will buy it for 1.2 btc since it is used  Tongue
