1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 30, 2024, 03:55:04 PM
Virat and Rohit both took their retirement from T20I, I'm glad they won the wc, and retired peacefully.

India the only dominant side in tourney (back in odiwc too), this time they stayed calm and it worked wonders, something that was missing in 2023 final where they lost hope early on, though definitely SA also choked huge, there should be credit to them as well  Tongue

I would say the excellent awareness especially from the captain because SA doesn't have deep batting lineup so even when they need 30 or 30 balls all they needed was a wicket that out the pressure back on SA and the excellent shutdown over from Bumrah very well-supported by Hardik and Arshdeep.

I am happy for RO-KO and they left the T20 journey on the high note.

One life lesson - Never give up attitude until the last ball took them to the glory.
2  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: How does UPI work? on: June 28, 2024, 11:50:12 AM
If the mobile number linked to the UPI account is reassigned to a new user, can the new user access the previous owner’s bank account funds?

I’d appreciate any insights or additional information on this.

Thank you!

Yes, and that is the method used by the scammers which is called swim swapping.

But it's highly unlikely to get access of someone's number because every number is linked with unique Aadhar number so one who wants to buy the number has to provide the KYC documents with liveness test but this can be passed easily if you have someone inside the service provider.

We are waiting for the T20 World Cup semi-final match between South Africa vs Afghanistan, which team will enter the final. Anyway, I think both the batting and bowling of South Africa and Afghanistan are very strong in this match.

AFG is going with the momentum but their batting order is just depend on their openers, and if they departed soon then it is going to be difficult for AFG to score 110 or 120, their bowling is top form so anything above 140 can be challenging so the only question is AFG can post a total around 140 to 150 then their bowling can do the remaining.

Despite of the result they already passed their expectation so it's nothing to lose from their point of view and RSA also won't get better opportunity to break their jinx that has been stuck with them since 1991.
4  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Binance fined $2.25M by India’s Financial Intelligence Unit on: June 26, 2024, 12:36:29 PM
Fines and modifications, these things run hand in hand because exchanges start outside in other countries eventually come to another country and has to face the music here and dont follow their AML rules till a few years pass and then that country's authorities start cracking up on them.

Good thing is that at present they have modified things to be in line with the FIU. Maybe we will see them restarting operations and getting their app back online on the Indian market.

This is not new to Binance, they faced this in US and also facing in UK now in India, since they are accepted everything they might resume their operations soon and the fine amount is just a tip for them considering how much potential revenue they can make from the 1.4B people.

6  Local / India / Re: Why not start discussing topics that will make you active here! on: June 23, 2024, 02:50:51 PM
It seems like no one is interested in discussing important topics on this board. For example, is the Bitcoin core still reliable and compatible with the Bitcoin Join Market instructions? Instead, many of you seem to only be interested in current events,

I have started, WILL YOU?

This is not just the problem with our Indian local board, the whole forum is facing this for example let's take a look s this forum getting worse and worse? where almost every reply suggest that we ran out of interesting things about bitcoin well if you insist I can create those kind of tutorials with the images but the problem is they are already created in the main board already by someone so I wonder which one will appear when someone try uses related keyword in google search.

Regarding luring people from somewhere else which I have been doing for the past couple of months with no luck at all, especially from Reddit community where people are aware of bitcointalk, but they don't want to engage here.

I will try to come up with the most relevant tutorials and if they already exists here I can compile their links in one thread so it maybe helpful and which can even be pinned when we got enough of them.
7  Local / Press & News from India / Binance fined $2.25M by India’s Financial Intelligence Unit on: June 23, 2024, 06:38:57 AM
India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has imposed a 188.2 million rupees ($2.25 million) fine on crypto exchange Binance for providing services to Indian clients without adhering to the nation’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules.

On Thursday, June 19, the agency announced that the penalty applies to multiple violations of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

Binance operates as a Virtual Digital Asset Service Provider, which qualifies it as a reporting entity (RE) under Section 2 (as) (vi) of the PMLA. This designation requires maintaining and reporting transaction records and ensuring robust AML measures.

However, FIU’s investigation revealed that Binance failed to adhere to these obligations when providing services to Indian clients. Indian authorities issued show-cause notices to Binance and several other offshore cryptocurrency exchanges, banning them from India for “operating illegally” in January 2024.

In May, Binance became the first offshore crypto-related entity, along with KuCoin, to be approved by the Financial Intelligence Unit. The approval was conditional on paying a penalty after a hearing with the FIU.

Binance fined $2.25M by India’s Financial Intelligence Unit

So it's official now, Binance adhered to the FIU compliants and ready to get back into operation.

I checked https://www.binance.com/en-IN which is still not opening from any of my devices and also they are still not available in the play store but we can expect they will be back online soon.

With this win India almost landed one foot in the semi final, Bangladesh didn't even put up a fight even though it was a huge target that's really disappointing.

Bhumrah again exceptional, and everyone came into the party and did pretty well in all the departments, now they have to face the heavy weight AUS to find their real strength in this season.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 22, 2024, 04:04:00 PM
Yes, I also agree with you as to who will win this match but I was thinking about the team selection of the Indian team for this World Cup.

KL Rahul was a good player for them and it is not good to drop him from the World Cup. I think the Indian team didn’t focus on their key players as they also out to Muhammad Shami, Buveshkumar, KL Rahul, and Shubman Gill too to give chance to new players and those new players are Shivam Duvbe who never performed in any single match and always out on zero while second one is Jaiswal who even don’t play any single match so how they can replace KL Rahul and Shubman Gill  Huh

These things may damage the Indian team later in the tournament when the competition will be even stiffer and each match will be do or die one and losing won't be a choice.

KL is not a T20 player, Shami is out due to injury, selectors don't look at Bhuvneshwar anymore — I think they prefer young talent over him, on Gill — there is no free position in top order, the only way he could come in was if someone were to get injured but there is Jaiswal for that.

p.s: Gill was in reserved player list but was sent home to prepare for upcoming serieses.

There is no drought for talents in India and even there's a lot of criticism for not including Rinku which is the only thing I agree apart from that KL Rahul probably will never find a spot in T20 because he is a classy player and top order batsmen where already a lot of competition.

Regarding Today's match I am sure that India is gonna win but again the form of players in top is still a concern cause they yet to make a big score and it's important to have suchform going into semis or else they might be knocked out when it's in need.

197 is the Target for Bangladesh.

3) It's super eight between quality teams yet the crowd is not as much as expected.

Timing is important, if the local team is not playing then it's tough to pull a crowd in the morning. The evening settings attract even casual fans.

It shows the decline of WI cricket, once they were the best of this game but now their cricket board is struggling to even pay the players so they prefer the play franchise cricket instead for their nation and now their team is trying to redeem their name again. If I am not wrong, WI captain mentioned they want to win this tournament so they could get sponsorship.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 21, 2024, 03:33:38 PM
England vs South Africa underway. The South Africans are playing like sloths at the moment and aren't taking full advantage of the powerplay which isn't good for them considering how good England are batting these days.

Also, I have no idea why Topley and Ali were given the new ball since I would have chosen Archer and Wood instead. Weird decisions!
If we look at both playing XI then it's a competition of 2 batting powerhouses and you'll find destructive batters in both teams.

When you put such teams on flat decks then it rarely matters who is bowling and only choking in the batting department and the bowler limiting the damage will decide an outcome.

Moeen Ali bowled pretty tight so it's success though but SA lost back to back wickets after solid start now two new batters has to take some time to settle in that's going to be the decisive move cause there's no room to settle in, it has to go from the ball one.

Talking about choking, can SA make any difference in this ICC event and remove their tag of chokers that's hanging with them for more than 3 decades. Grin
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unconfirmed transaction over 1 day on: June 21, 2024, 08:32:19 AM

What you did there was use a low fee to send out your transaction, which is the reason why it’s delayed. You should try bumping the fee a little more to at least 30 to 40 sats/B.
Although 21 sat/vbyte is enough if he is not in a hurry and possibly the transaction might be confirmed in the next block.

The fee used is 5.89 sat/vb not 21 sat/vb, which explains the TX is still pending

https://mempool.space/tx/8f7d7adab11e645569dcab8c8cd137654b035692d3151ac455f1f4fcc1cbfcf5

And since it's RBF enabled, he can just bump the fee to 8-9sat/vb that will help the TX to be confirmed in the next couple of blocks since that will place the TX in the 2MB range from mempool.
14  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why Can't I Bump A Transaction? on: June 20, 2024, 05:49:16 PM
It's just a warning given by electrum saying the fee is 15% of your amount, you can choose to proceed if the amount you're trying to send is low or contains more UTXOs and/or outputs that increases the weight of your transaction.

Instead of using ETA, prefer Mempool that gives better fee estimation in electrum than ETA and Static. And also you can check the fee required using https://mempool.space/

Make sure you pay enough mining fees; you will not be able to bump the fee later."

It can't be true because electrum enabled RBF by default so you can bump your fee whenever you want even after broadcasting your TX.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 20, 2024, 05:03:25 PM
Looks like an above par score to me, considering during powerplay batters had some hard time. Kudos to Bapu in the end,and I think he should come before Jaddu if they both are in the Playing XI.

I hope the pitch remains the same, otherwise we might see a tight finish. To some extent, Afghanistan's batting has improved but the middle order is still weak so India should cross the line.

Afghan openers left too early, thanks again to Bumrah's excellent performance. Regarding Jaddu position I am also agreeing cause in T20 he didn't have extraordinary numbers in ghe recent past but Axar played some brilliant innings in IPL as well as in this T20 league game.

The pitch is on slightly slowish that's why batters can't able to find the timing.

SKY is getting into his rhythm is big bonus for India.

17  Local / India / Re: [May 2024 update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: June 20, 2024, 12:10:11 PM

Here's the chart I made comparing the stats of each month, and we can see the clear reason why we need merit source based on the last 3 months.
Keep up the good work brother. You have been doing a fantastic job by regularly updating the stats on this thread.

Thank you, it really means a lot!
Number of posts increasin is a good sign. Even if the merits are not increased in stats we should keep posting regularly.
At some point of time the merits will surely increase if the posts are really constructive.

I partly agree with about keep posting part, but we won't be seeing any increase in the merits unless we have a dedicated merit source cause who are the one who generate 'x' amount of smerits while normal users have to earn 2 merits to have 1 smerits and if we don't have any one merit the previous posts there won't be any smerits left to spent.

I am a bit surprised to see increase in the number of posts compared to previous month, even though we have don't have any merit circulation for the past few months, hope you guys will keep the activity going until theymos approves TheUltraElite merit source application.

I also have an idea about creating dedicated graph comparing previous month stats which gives better pictorial representation so guys give me an idea what are the stats has to be included, as far as my understanding number of posts and merits shared will give an idea, or anything more needs to be included?

Weak Hands... Roll Eyes

20  Local / India / Re: BWA urges Finance Minister to provide a level playing field on: June 18, 2024, 08:09:24 AM

But one thing I could not understand, they are asking to "level the playing field" as per the writers of this article - however who are they competing against? and for what? Or am I missing something here?

As far I read the article and how things going on crypto for India they mean "level the playing field" as competing against the developed countries probably like US so they are suggesting complete framework regarding VDA (Virtual digital assets) and they also brought crypto under these.

But they ain't looking to make anything better here for crypto, they justified the 30% crypto gains and 1% TDS brought more traders to India which is completely misleading information because they introduced these new regime in 2022 but until 2024 there were no improvement in it contradictingly the number of crypto users reduced in India they only attained these numbers when they shadowbanned every global exchanges including Binance and forced users to trade on Indian exchange or don't trade.
