1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 15, 2024, 05:47:28 PM
I believe England should qualify for the Super 8 to make this World Cup a bit more interesting because, by the look of it, choices are obvious for the semi-finals if England is eliminated.

Look it from the different perspective, small nations qualifying for the world cup super 8 might bring more audience for cricket in those countries so in the long run they also become world-class team with all the necessary infrastructure to compete against the existing few countries and going forward 2028 Olympics where cricket is going to be a part this looks like a good thing.

ENG doesn't look like a better team, so even if they qualify for super 8 where they will be eliminated for sure.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can You Memorize Your Recovery Phrase? on: June 14, 2024, 07:07:50 PM
Definitely it's possible to memorize it which can be easier if it's 12 words and the difficulty increases according to the length of your seed, but how long you can remember it varies and if I were you I won't put my money on my memory over simply writing it on a paper.

Benefits : No one can access it

Negative: Even you can forget it and if you don't have backup then you lost your wallet forever.

^ Rohit Sharma has been out of form and only bats well if the pitch is flat. Kohli is sure shot struggling at the opening position he should bat down the order. The next match is with Ireland, they will lose as they haven't won a single game. I think the team management can look into a new opening pair or remove Kohli from opening. Sanju samson got the chance but failed, Jaiswal can be given an opportunity in the next.

I agree Kohli should have batted at no.3 position, but it should have been decided before the start of the tournament, but now they played 3 games now bringing in Jaiswal disrupt the entire batting position which is not a good sign so even though they are failed the middle order batsmen found some form so I won't change anything now. The only change going forward to super 8 is to bring in Kuldeep in the place of Axar or Jaddu.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 12, 2024, 06:34:56 PM
Yeah, the match could have been tighter or possibly thriller if Netravalkar wasn't generous to his schoolmate, at least he wasn't kind to another schoolmate Rohit so its fair lol.

IMO in this chase, those 5 run penalties did some good for SKY-Dube and they accelerated after that. Overall, the USA fought well and their participation did produce some nice memes.

Exclusive information, he didn't get enough allowance from his office to practice his fielding skills. Grin

At the middle over the USA were ahead of team India and if they got one or two wickets then probably they could have made a history today, I see a lot of criticism about Dube from commentators which is unacceptable cause everyone struggle here not just him at least he got to some decent runs instead of gifting his wicket away that's a positive going forward to super 8.

Also seeing @Bitcoin Smith with a new signature made my day. Put some centering and coloring codes on them. Dont walk around naked mate. Cheesy

Actually, I tried to make something more creative instead of just plain texts using these

Some useful links for BBCODE Signature design etc.

But looked kind of messy, so I just stuck with simple text for now, if someone can make I am happy to wear it. Cheesy

You can be more specific such as name of the platform, how much money that you're willing to pay.

Besides you need to realise that if someone is verifying on behalf of you can claim the ownership of the account and whatever funds left in there.

They squeezed everything in the last 10 years and there's nothing to milk now, so their aim is to milk blood from middle class in Modi3.0 government.

Kind of mixed feeling after this announcement, they managed to convince the alliance parties to stay out of the power but some of their principles directly contradicts with BJP's Hindutuva so we have to wait and watch to find whether modi is capable of running coalition government cause this is the first time he is ever gonna do it since he came to power either it's in Gujarat now in central.

List of minister for NDA released few minutes ago, surprisingly there is not much change in the list of minister and every important department handed over to the same one who was in their last round.

Quote
Ministry of Home Affairs - Amit Shah

Ministry of Cooperation - Amit Shah

Ministry of Defence - Rajnath Singh

Ministry of External Affairs - S Jaishankar

Ministry of Finance - Nirmala Sitharaman

Ministry of Corporate Affairs - Nirmala Sitharaman

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways - Nitin Gadkari

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Airdrops is not free money on: June 10, 2024, 09:32:44 AM
I've always argued this, especially to those who think "airdrops are good to be true because free money". It simply isn't! And add the fact that a lot of people still think that airdrops is still the spam-the-projects-telegram-link-on-social-media thing people did back in 2017. It's far different today — the airdrop model is actually better now.

Contrary to popular opinion, airdrops are NOT free. You're risking capital(LPs) and/or your time(testnets).

I haven't looked into any airdrops in the recent past years, the last time I know that people made money from airdrop is UNISWAP which isn't typical airdrop like task→rewards.

But as you said it needs time which also has value, so it ain't free money like people claim.

Speaking of merit sources be it the Indian community or here in cricket thread. It's a lost cause so personally I'd suggest dropping your post anywhere, when you enjoy the most, with that you won't expect any merits but it'd be fun anyway.

It was my signature space not the post, I tried to play with it. Cheesy

Lmaoo Wtf Buhahahahahhaa We won? Still can't believe it lmao, laughing like a crazy fuck in real, had virtually no hope but dam jeez  Grin Tongue Tongue Tongue

I want to give all the credit to Bumrah and most importantly Pakistani batters without them it was a lost cause from the start. FFS they deserve all the credit to fumble this subpar score chase.

PS: in the context of sub par score, the predicted score was 137-ish.

Don't forget Indian batting looks very ordinary today, after the good start Indian batters gifted their wickets which is a concerning point to address in the upcoming match.  In spite of that this match was an absolute entertainer, both team were comfortable in initial 10 overs but the second phase the game took a complete U turn.

Bumrah again nailed it with important wickets when the team is in most need.

So this means PAK is officially out of the super 8 right?

I mean things are not going as good as predicted with big teams. After the Pakistan losing the game against the US now it is the NZ who lost against AFG. I mean what were these team that loss the game thinking? Pakistan did try their level best but NZ surrendered to AFG bowling. I expected a good game between these two team in the sense that it would be close. That didn't happen and I am not interested in this tournament anymore.

If associate/small teams can come back and put decent fight against top teams then this is the format.

My feelings are contrary and seeing big teams are falling to small teams that make it more interesting, and we could see some shift in the kind of games that has been continues for more than a half century.

Yesterday ENG lost to AUS and remember one of their game washed out due to rain so it makes their chances slim either. Grin

Pakistan will take on India today at New York. The match starts at 8pm IST. A Full House is expected but rain can ruin the game between these two teams. I was checking the weather of New York and the humidity level is high. If Pakistan loses the match to India they will be out of super 8 for sure. If they are out of super 8 then for the next World Cup they will need to play qualifying matches.

India vs Pakistan matches hyped too much by the media for their benefits and India proved that they can eat PAK even in their prime when it comes to ICC tournaments so I expect this is going to be another heart break for PAK fans cause they will be out of confidence after losing to team like USA.

But the pitch is going to be tricky, if PAK batting failed in Dallas then they are in serious trouble in NY and hope they won't wind up for double digit score.

So I clicked the check box to add extra words but I never got prompted to input them. Am I missing something?

Just check whether you followed this

Create nwe wallet => Standard wallet=> I already have a seed = Make sure you checked the box below

Now you should see the balance and everything, if you actually entered the right passphrase.
15  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Confused with wallet recovery on: June 08, 2024, 06:37:56 PM
Extended word will get you a different set of seed, privkeys and addresses, so without it, you are just connected to a different wallet.

Did anyone watch the match between Pakistan and the USA? The match went to super overs and as usual, they messed it up big time. The US team is filled with players of Indian origin and some of them have played for India U-19. Pakistan never expected the debutant team to be so tough on the field. T20WC--2024 biggest upset will be the loss of Pakistan against the US team. I doubt that Pakistan will be able to stay put and carry on in the WC after this humiliating defeat. They have made a mess of themselves in the first game they played in the ICC event. It will be hard for them to get back and play against India and win it, if they win against us then they will be in the semifinals for sure.

Guess what?

I watched both innings death overs and then the super overs, I mean PAK lost their match especially due to their poor fielding, did you see the wild throw from keeper in super over that got overthrow?

That's not what we expect from an international level team and in T20 WC.

USA practically imported players from India and Pakistan and other few nations and if I am not wrong only three players in their squad is from actual USA. But they're playing better and who know they might even qualify for the super 8 if PAK keep messing up like this again.

Let's suppose that the network's difficulty is 42 trillion, about half of what's today.

  • The average block time of the current epoch (A) is 10 minutes, and we're close to the difficulty adjustment. Once we reach it, difficulty remains the same and we enter the next epoch.
  • The average block time of the next epoch (B) is 8 minutes, and another difficulty adjustment occurs, which increases the difficulty, so that the average block time returns back to 10 minutes.
  • The average block time of the next epoch (C) is 1 hour, due to a catastrophic decision made by the US government to seize all the miners.

What's the difficulty once it adjusts after epoch C?

I am not that good yet with the technical terms but let's try my best and see whether it's right.

Current Network difficulty = 42 Trillion

Average block time of epoch c (target) = 1 hour

Average block time of epoch b (current) = 10 minutes

Now formula to find Difficulty Level = Difficulty Target/Current Target.

epoch c = 42 tril * (10/60 mins)

epoch c = 42 trillion *(0.16666666667)

epoch c = 7 trillion billion

Also, I read that there is upper limit and lower limit for the difficulty adjustment which can be either 300%+ or -75%

That means it can only goes down to 10.5 trillion

Bitcoin Mining Difficulty: Everything You Need to Know

Quote
the mining difficulty cannot be altered above or below four times the current difficulty level. The upper limit for each difficulty epoch is a +300% change, while the lower is a -75% alteration. This rule is put in place to eliminate any abrupt changes in mining difficulty.
18  Local / India / Re: Stay Away from F2F trades if you are from Delhi or nearby! on: June 05, 2024, 03:36:07 PM
F2F aka face to face trading exists in all over India especially since government imposed 30% capital gains on crypto assets just to evade these which doesn't mean it's money laundering until they prove the source of the funds are coming from illicit activities whether it's ED or IT. But it's not recommended cause mostly it is going to put ourselves in these kinds of situation sooner or later.

I just want to share my experience as well, many people approached me for f2f trading from LBC when it was operating now in Paxful and they are  even tempted me with over 20% price from market price that makes it obvious that these are not just tax evaders but involved in some kind of illegal stuff which I avoided completely.
19  Local / India / Re: Election results and impact on crypto policies in India on: June 05, 2024, 07:28:03 AM
I simply did not understand why the BJP lost so many seats. They are now dependent on the support of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu. If these two guys remove their support or move out of NDA and join the alliance then we will see Rahul Gandhi as the new PM. If the alliance forms the government I do not feel they will do anything good for the crypto community as they will be busy with their own internal power struggle and hate agenda of Modi.

Losing the dominance on UP is the actual difference for not reaching numbers enough for single majority and it's due to the reason of high unemployment rate, inflation and people realized especially women voters.,their Ram Mandir stunt didn't work either cause BJP lost in Ayodhi.

I don't think NDA alliance will broke or at least until this moment so Modi will become the PM but this alliance is enough to last long for 5 years terms is highly questionable...

Even Modi is losing dominance in his own place and he won by the margin of 1.5lakh+ difference but in the previous terms it was over 4 and 5 lakh vote difference which may even lose the confidence of RSS over the Modi's political future.
20  Local / India / Re: Election results and impact on crypto policies in India on: June 04, 2024, 06:55:17 AM
Today we will know which political party will be ruling the country for the next 5 years. The wave is still favouring the boat of Mr Modi and he is going to get the third term.

At the time of 12:20 almost half votes are counted, and it seems BJP is set to begin their 3rd term but there is a complete twist they are not going to the parliament with single majority like the previous terms because they're only leading in 240+ and it has to be 272+ to be single majority ruling part. So I see some hope now, Rahul and INDIA ally brought back the game on pair with 230+ leading means we are going to see some changes for sure.
