@mikey

8  Other / Meta / Re: [April Fools] This better not be what I think it is... on: April 01, 2020, 07:36:28 AM

Who said that April fool can only be funny? We have a little idea about Theymos don't we? obviously, he's not joking.
what's wrong with using this event in an unconventional way since a lot of members are anticipating it. I would say probably he wanted to raise more awareness about this virus since, even at this stage of contagion, some people are still not taking the matter seriously. Personally, I like the initiative and support it, will try not to get infected.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SOS.BInance going to adquire coinmarketcap - crypto MONOPOLIZATION on way on: March 31, 2020, 09:04:13 PM
It's good news for me, Binance is a serious and legit exchange which contribute positively in some way to the image of crypto. They will definitely change and upgrade many things in CMC since it's the most frequented site providing info about crypto. I hope they delist all those fake exchanges and shitcoin, thus, reducing scamming activities.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin sections to join. Dont waste your time with others on: March 26, 2020, 10:55:59 PM
I appreciate your effort into making this list, it will lower the amount of spam and incentivize people to do more research instead of automatically joining any bounty. I would like to point out that Insure got many aspects that make it eligible to mark it as a shitcoin:

huge supply 80 billion, listed on fake volume exchange, 7 849 BTC market cap and having 493% which can only be fake to solicit investors. I hope you consider removing them from your list.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese people, here they come on: March 26, 2020, 10:39:13 PM
Would we expect less from Japanese lol? Wise people will know that this can be a perfect chance to have a nice investment since the price is very affordable and can't really get much lower than it is now. People are panicking and cashing their money to save it home, mostly thinking that the crisis will have a huge influence on money liquidity, we're all seeing what this worldwide panic has done, people are acting without any proper thinking and Japanese got enough gray matter to make the correct choice lol.

I have genuinely never in my life seen any trader anywhere mention JPY volume or pay any attention to it. That says enough about adoption and interest there.

reports measuring the volume by countries always state China, Korea and Japan in the first places also we can't except a large adoption there, by the end, it's a small island compared to china.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Some Ponzi scheme sites that are taking advantage of CORONA on: March 26, 2020, 10:12:53 PM
From the first click it seems as an obvious scam, they pretend to sell a vaccine to the virus which we all know it doesn't even exist and they're having high demands lol. Even the client review they implemented has nothing to do with corona, a guy talking about instant mining, completely off-topic.

Do people still fall for such a thing? obviously no but when I see scammers putting all these efforts and coming every day with new types of scamming I tend to think that they are really still making a good profit and they're not prepared to quit any time soon.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not as risky as many think. on: March 26, 2020, 09:10:38 PM
For me, right now investing in Bitcoin is way better than any other type of investment ( stock, startup...). Because these days are very different compared to the last two years you can't real except continuous steady growth and daydream about the price flying like a rocket and also you can expect the price to drop significantly in few days. the huge price manipulation that was done in 2017 had given a totally wrong idea about cryptocurrencies since the price went flying to 20k and then started a continuous fast drop so many people were financially damaged and bitcoin was stamped as 'danger, keep out'.

That was one of the major events that influenced many views on bitcoin, such volatility is indeed very risky but probably won't happen ever again. maybe.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: March 26, 2020, 08:51:32 PM
This makes me remember an interesting topic I read in the past which describe perfectly why 99% of ico are 'absolute garbage' because they are giving a good percentage of their total allocation to random people doing specific advertising tasks like Facebook and twitter campaign with most of them full of bots accounts thus they are not generating any revenue and the bigger problem is that even legit bounty doesn't apply any form of tracking to evaluate the effectiveness of each participant.
Also, not having maximum numbers of participants lead to a hard dump on tokens price after launch as know hunters tend to sell their reward immediately when received.

edit: found it,  The fundamental problem with ICOs and bounty campaigns
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New suggestion for unpaid bounties on: March 26, 2020, 07:37:50 PM
a Better suggestion will be supporting topics like this one, Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin sections to join.
Every project is 'successful' since they get free money for a simple click made altcoin with no value. Don't waste your time with any other campaign not available in the list, it will good to show this topic to bounty hunters that join blindly any campaign before even checking what's the project about. In most cases, scam is easy to discover, it just needs a little effort which will save you from wasting your time on promoting scammers and criminals they steal people's funds and identities through KYC scamming.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance charity launches with $1million donation. on: March 25, 2020, 08:00:54 PM
Great news, Binance keeps surprising us. They already did help china with all sorts of medical supplies, in January, and they have been distributed to several hospitals. This initiative, also, will mostly go to countries with the highest numbers of infected people but honestly, someone should think of third world countries, they are the real ones who will suffer tremendous damages if their citizens don't abide by the general lockdown policy because they don't have strong means to confront the virus.

I think the most important thing stopping peoples from giving charity is the lack of confidence in how their money will be distributed and their fear that the process get corrupted. Blockchain provide the best solution for such problems since all transaction can be publically published.
19  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Random wallet.dat files on USB stick on: March 25, 2020, 07:45:00 PM
Hey, try moving your topic to Development & Technical Discussion section, maybe you can get some help there.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LATOKEN, Probit, What else? on: March 25, 2020, 07:35:04 PM
Indeed Latoken and Probit had a good start. By the time, they started accepting all kinds of projects, check the bounty section you will see some clear scamming projects launching their IEO on probit. But, I think they are still providing good service and always upgrading their platform, still, you can found some good investment on Probit, maybe lol, be careful and always dyor. Although, as other members said Latoken and especially Probit still have a good reputation better than the fake p2pb2b and the likes of it, full of shitcoins.

I don't know why Probit doesn't publish how much sales were done. is it the same situation with all launchpad?
