1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: October 30, 2014, 12:26:28 PM
the only thing I don't get is why dev needs so much money? 1 million bucks, thats pretty greedy to my taste. And I'm not sure if the market will be able to support the 25k sat price at a 10,000,000 coin money supply

2500 BTC is a limit, not a required maximum.

It's there so that people don't buy *more* than this amount; hence it's to prevent pumps.

If we raise less, then the remaining BLOCK will be destroyed, and the project will move ahead.

So really the situation is:
- we don't *need* 2500 BTC, we need a minimum of 850 BTC as stated in the OP.
- but 2500 BTC will maximise the chances of success of the project
- it's entirely up to public demand to determine how much funding we get.

Then why not just lower the amount to 850 then ?

Because less risk is better than more risk.
- but 2500 BTC will maximise the chances of success of the project
There is a chance the projekt can fail?

Of course. There are competitors, there are incoming regulations, software development can get delayed or get expensive... the list goes one.

Hence the need to minimise risk. The more funds we get, the better the chance of success.

The whole idea is interesting, but the truth is you guys don't need 2500btc... The idea has potential for a higher price then 25k sat but is it worth that right now? No. The price will inevitably go down bellow ico price and the only way it wouldn't would be if massive buy walls are put in place by a whale. Which isn't going to happen because they too know the price is over valued for just a concept. If you asked for less btc at a lower price for the idea, the value would have space to grow naturally, the price will almost certainly get dumped which simply isn't healthy for it. The difference with that structure is that you guys wouldn't get to walk away with close to a million dollars if the project fails.

So LESS coins exist now?
no, everyone's just mad that their coins doubled.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - First coin over TOR with functional anon send - 0% prem on: September 24, 2014, 08:59:20 PM

You are full of shit. Try again.

Code:
14:23:30
getnewaddress
14:23:30
scjDCfCAFwhPh5CrrntZM4n2irM3EXmKWp
14:23:32
getnewaddress
14:23:32
seF4pdfCKwH4kppNnJowbuRSh3ZkH34FAX
14:23:36
getnewaddress 'account'
14:23:36
sRFS3cT1qmAYtsVg5miGaQia6skRJjdZA9
14:23:39
getnewaddress 'account2'
14:23:39
saYKAi5SgvwZvWJDSVqavarBpzHs8QwYj5
14:27:13
getnewaddress 'account2'
14:27:13
shFxZ2D7dpULoos2bd9BU7TZ7yUfzLkEV6

Your example is not relevant to the case.

Wallet after migration returned addresses that were used before migration, for example:
sc7zK5PrZUbTTfM2ZKrQ3Q6rnxmLtDr858
scSHt3SGSVFuZP6aBP5UiUzYHfWBy5hu7a

After migration and salvaging wallet, it returned the same addresses, presumably in the same order, my bet that's bug is related to key pool queue, it's developer job to determinate exact cause. If someone has better explanation why it was happened and why addresses were reused, you can post your version of events.
OK, fucking c-cex everyone that knows anything about cryptos knows that your exchange is shit, and this isn't the first time you have been accused of stealing peoples coins. No one is going to believe anything you say because there has been countless claims of you stealing costumers coins in the past (and deleting their accounts to try to cover it up).

Majika was responsible for reviewing XC's code back in may...

Here is his review..

http://cryptopump.info/x11-coin-xc-its-secure-and-unique-mixer-implementation/

And now, Dan has reviewed Aero.

This coin is heavily undervalued. Especially since we've got ourself a dev with some serious influence, and skill probably as good as Dan.

Expecting great things.

Where is dan's review?
Where is the complete/original source code?

again not trying to fud... but maybe the link to dan's peer review should be updated. Lol being the coins latest announcement an all, it doesn't look good to potential investors

edit: then again it doesn't really matter considering the code he reviewed doesn't seem to exist anymore

has anyone tried compiling the aero wallet from source, for .osx? I keep getting this error "make: *** No rule to make target `obj/fugue.o', needed by `AeroCoind'.  Stop."
No seriously im not even fudding, i've been with this coin since the start... the code is dickered now tho, I cant compile the qt wallet on linux either, getting all kinds of errors..
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coin client returning error: {"code":-32601,"message":"Method not found"} on: September 02, 2014, 12:54:33 AM
it's a pain, but the commands are spread about, and interlinked with other files.
it looks like the dev of Aerocoin really tried to deter people from cloning his coin... Which is only fuelling my desire to successfully clone it LOL. I'm even having trouble connecting two nodes, which i think has to do with the Aero code, as i was able to do it with litecoin. If you have time, can you take a look at the aero code, and see if anything stands out as unusual?  Tongue

edit: I was using linux for both machines, tried using a mac in place of one of them.. couldn't even compile on .osx it spit out this error
make: *** No rule to make target `obj/fugue.o', needed by `XenoxCoind'.  Stop.

edit:got two nodes running on the network now, still can't compile on mac tho..

setgenerate should be a deprecated API.
Not sure what you mean, but setgenerate and all the other API's are in bitrpc.py, so i'm not sure why it returns the error
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alt coin client returning error: {"code":-32601,"message":"Method not found"} on: September 01, 2014, 12:16:51 AM
I've spent the weekend cloning alt coins for shits n' gigs, and was able to successfully clone a scrypt coin, and a few other simple coins. I decided to step it up today and tried cloning a PoW/PoS x13 coin, basically the same process and was able to get past mining the genesis block and connecting two nodes. However the client only accepts certain commands such as "getinfo", "getnewaddress" and a few others, but returns the error: {"code":-32601,"message":"Method not found"} for the command "setgenerate true" and a few other commands. Anyone have any idea whats causing this? I would really appreciate some help  Smiley
