1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A quick reminder to all beginners, the cloud is someone's else computer. on: May 22, 2024, 08:02:00 AM
Thank you for the information. Despite the fact that I have been using TrustWallet and didn't realize this when I downloaded it, I will now be cautious when recommending it to others. However, I would advise you to save your security information on your email rather than writing it down to prevent it from being lost or invalidated when you're not around.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeing is no longer believing on: May 21, 2024, 05:08:11 PM
Since any online business is risky and should be traded with caution, your business partners should be prepared to complete any task you assign them. Although it all depends on your intelligence, if you haven't met the person and want to engage in a video call, all you have to do is observe and let the person move around and perform your task in order to gain trust. Everyone needs to be aware of their surroundings in this day.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn a skill instead, you will be set for life. on: May 21, 2024, 04:52:17 PM
Your topic is interesting, especially since it relates to young people, who will be tomorrow's leaders. However, you shouldn't laugh at someone else's situation because you may not be sure if the person did it or was set up. Until you experience life from a different perspective, I believe you will understand what I mean. Nevertheless, your topic is interesting.

5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think that government can stop Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2024, 03:40:33 PM
The government has the right to regulate anything that falls within its purview, especially if it has a significant impact on the development, security, and economy of the area. However, the situation with Bitcoin is more complex. While it plays a valuable role in society, its drawback is that it can be used for terrorist, fraud, and kidnapping. For this reason, a responsible government would never consider looking into outlawing Bitcoin.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can democracy really work here in Africa on: May 20, 2024, 12:56:11 PM
Not all of Africa is experiencing democracy, but certain regions are. Simply put, selfishness has led African leaders to opt to put themselves first. I think a single global currency would be better for democracy and good governance since national leaders are taking national assets to compete with individuals from other countries, such as America, Europe, and so on.
7  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / My encounter using Bitcoin with a nearby farmer/trader in my area on: May 19, 2024, 01:07:40 PM
Do you know that, along with crude oil, agricultural produce is currently one of the most in-demand products in my area? For instance, I paid #300 for a bushel of corn in Port Harcourt. Initially, I wanted to leave to see if the woman would call me back, but she refused, so I went back to buy ten bushels of corn from her, which works out to be about #300 x 10 = 3000. Jokingly, I said to her, "Madam, I will pay you on Bitcoin ooo," hoping she would be angry but was compelled to ask her how she learned about bitcoin after she replied, "I will give you my address if you want." She said that her son and daughter had taught her. Based on this, I believe we should always work to educate those around us about bitcoin so they are ready to defend themselves even against scammers. Bitcoin is a payment instrument that will be used in agriculture and is not limited in any way.
8  Other / Off-topic / In the EPL, vote against VAR. on: May 17, 2024, 10:56:36 AM
Although VAR has proven beneficial in football, some dishonest referees have attempted to thwart its use by incorrectly deciding when they are aware of the facts. FIFA included VAR because it is already used in major competitions like the World Cup, so why is the English Premiership different in that they will be voting to implement VAR before the end of the month? It is my belief that the investigation of dishonest authorities and the implementation of new legislation should be conducted.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Imagine owning a Bitcoin note. on: May 17, 2024, 10:23:51 AM
Bitcoin is not centralized electronic currency, it is a decentralized digital currency. Where did you see such wrong information that bitcoin is a centralized currency?

Bitcoin is possible in physical form like Casascius Bitcoin which contains the private key of an amount of bitcoin but government will not make such project to move forward.
Its a mistake from the typo and thanks for the correction
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Imagine owning a Bitcoin note. on: May 17, 2024, 10:02:41 AM
Consider having bitcoin as hard currency for transactions or the purchase of commodities. Bitcoin is a decentralized electronic currency that is accepted on practically every continent in the world. The bitcoin note is going to be the most elegant and simple-to-identify physical cash in the world, and I wonder who face would have been drawn to it?
11  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Nigerian street pranks and its effect. on: May 17, 2024, 09:43:37 AM
I really detest playing practical jokes. It's not that I'm a nasty person; rather, it's for my own protection. I once witnessed a practical joke in which the participants had to squirt a female with water during an interview in order to gauge her response. In summary, playing a practical joke on someone might often depend on their mood; if the target is unhappy, for example, the prank star may find themselves in trouble. How would you characterize that type of prank and what would be your response?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Acquiring knowledge the hard way on: May 16, 2024, 08:59:31 AM
I wouldn’t call this learning the hard way. What’s really hard in reading the guides in Beginners & help? You’re here to improve your knowledge of bitcoin, studying is the only way to achieve that. I believe this is how most of us learnt to use the forum, we didn’t have someone spoon feeding us. I suggest you remove that thought from your mind. Your account was registered months before mine but you have been inconsistent in the forum hence the merit/rank gap between us.

I wasn't informed about the forum in the same way, and it took me some time to figure out how to use it. I would have been more consistent if I had known that the beginners' and help forum could aid me with my issue. The only thing I was worried about posting would have been having my account disabled.
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What if an exchange refuse? on: May 16, 2024, 08:50:48 AM
The only way out, in my opinion, will be to get a powerful VPN that can disguise your location in order to be able to use because they must abide by the law of the government.
14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can we proudly tell people that we're Bitcoiners? on: May 16, 2024, 08:43:03 AM
It's best to remain silent and let them assume what's on your mind so that anyone who gets closer to you can learn. As they say in life, mind your own business. Even if you show them the platform where you get money from, some people won't believe you.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Learning by myself on: May 16, 2024, 08:33:16 AM
This is a true story: after learning about the forum, I went to see a friend for assistance. He helped me set up an account and then, when I tried to ask him for help posting, he refused and told me that since we are not close, I would have to learn how to post on the forum on my own. I found it difficult to ask him questions about how the forum operated, and after several months, his number was unreachable. Finally, one Sunday after church, we got together, and I took it upon myself to ask him for advice on the platform, all he could say was to post on the beginners' forum if you needed any help. Since then, I have been posting, watching, and learning from the community, but I still want to say that even though I'm learning the hard way, it has given me a lot more confidence that I can succeed on my own with perseverance and hard work.
16  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: May 16, 2024, 08:07:24 AM
I'm happy I learned anything from the coin's post even if I was not aware of it. Since I'm new, I'm starting to get used to the forum lifestyle and I'm starting to enjoy it.

18  Economy / Gambling discussion / ardent admirers on: May 10, 2024, 08:26:27 PM
According to some, football is an addictive sport, and sticking with a team for a long time proves you are a loyal fan regardless of how well they perform. Some people complain about not eating after a loss for their team. Is it because they are paid, or is there another true reason why you witness someone yelling and fighting over a football dispute?
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education and the development of skills on: May 04, 2024, 09:57:46 AM
I think you didn't define what message you want to past across very well because education is skill acquisition and same is skill acquisition a part of education. Except you are referring to the aspect of the kind of education where you only learn how to read and write and study courses that doesn't deal with practicals but only theory and oral teaching. When you are acquiring skill then you are also being educated at same time on that field. So it is same as the same thing if you don't mean only the formal aspect of learning letter writing, essay or exposition but if you are talking acquisition it is same as education.
I believe I concur with you because certain courses you can take call for a certain ability. For instance, engineering, architecture, etc. These professional courses demand high caliber abilities since an engineer overseeing a project needs to be well-versed in numerous engineering disciplines, such as carpentry, in order to guarantee quality work.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Education and the development of skills on: May 02, 2024, 12:45:04 PM
Though both are highly useful, I believe that education is more important than skill acquisition. What do you think about this in today's world, and which would you let your brother, sister, or kids to pursue?
