1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: Today at 07:44:13 AM
sometimes an investor can decide to take a break from accumulating maybe 2-3 month difference just to balance their financial life before they can start accumulating. In summary having an alternative is always advisable so it will be easier for any investor to continue their investment.
An investor taking a break from their bitcoin investment should be when the time of the market is it. Whether the market is bearish or bull run. If the market is in a bearish market state, taking a break from the market shouldn't be advised because that's the best to accumulate bitcoin at a low price. For bull run taking a break is a good idea for the investor not to be buying bitcoin at a high price, but rather to wait for the right time to do that.

For this time of the market, bitcoin has a correctional price, it requires no break but a DCA strategy of investing till when one feels that the market has gone past the correction stage to the bull run. I think we will see that soon.

I couldn't agree with you at all, you are basically for money and profit. Generally Bitcoin Investing If I invest following the DCA method I can't target the bull run market I have to have a goal to invest. If DCA invests in average price control, this is the biggest opportunity in current dip. If one invests in present time then surely investment success will come and maximum dip will be bought. If one follows the DCA method to reap the benefits, he will not be able to survive his investment for long, that is why future planning must be done strongly.

Yes not only investing following DCA but investing should have a target for long term. Only when you plan your investments for the long term can you be successful. As most of the people invest for bull run market to get more value but if you invest deep here you can get good profit. It is best to buy on the dip to make a profit on the investment, but if you buy from here, it is possible to make a lot more profit when the price of Bitcoin increases. But if you plan to invest for a long time it is definitely more profitable so it is better to plan well for the future.
You've nailed it, my friend, many will just be running their mouths about Bitcoin investments but will never be reasonable with it, only to repeat what they can commonly read online. To DCA or whatever approach you use to invest is a thing, but to have your investment plan after the approach is another thing and both have to be considered before an informed-investmenet can be made.

Why DCA when you know you will divest pretty soon? It is only a dedicated HOLDer that such an investment approach will fit. Also, the most driving force to HODL will be your trust in that particular asset you want to invest in, not because you see people doing it or you are just making some random investment like most people do. You can see this kind of trust in some people like JayJuanGee here when it comes to Bitcoin. Such people may not even care to hold it for decades. I envy the spirit but it could have been easier for me too if I bought Bitcoin at a deeper low.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the Dollar good and Bitcoin bad for people on: Today at 07:18:21 AM
-snip-
You have a long post here, perhaps I should explore them bit by bit over time and reply where necessary.

For that reason, if a payment system is legit it has to be able to protect people by ensuring they get goods and services back. Banking payment systems do have such a protection. The proposed alternatives to those systems, known as crypto payment systems such as Bitcoin, do not have it.
Are you saying that fiat is legit and Bitcoin is not? You are seriously missing facts. Why is Bitcoin in the main financial stream today if your view is to be upheld? Bitcoin will even protect people's goods and services more than fiat because it is decentralised but fiat can still be controlled by the banks and others and stop any transaction they wish to stop.

Bitcoin is better as long as you deal with trusted parties. In the worst case, you may have a legal agreement about this and your transaction will push through at all cost.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: Today at 06:59:02 AM
Sportbets.io is not listed among. I withdrew bitcoin on Sportsbet.io recently and I withdrew it using lightning network. I hope other well reputed gambling site like Stake will support lightning network soon. The mempool is not that congested recently. If the mempool is congested, I can decide to use USDT on Tron or BSC network on Stake.com.
You have a point there and I was even thinking the same. Although some casinos, especially the small ones may think this is a big deal and also a point of selling for them, a big casino like Stake may think otherwise as though it is not necessary since they've made it possible for their customers to have a huge number of alternative means of depositing their money and withdrawing it aside from Bitcoin.

So the choice is the customer's as different cryptos have their different benefits and difficulties. The last time I counted the deposit and withdrawal options of Stake through cryptocurrencies alone, I was able to count 20. This is a huge number to choose from even as most casinos I know have between 1 and 5 crypto options.

To be honest I do think that having as many coins as possible to deposit is a good thing, however I do not have the inside view in terms of how are these coins really being used. It may very well be the case that not that many people want to play, for example, with Solana so lighting network is a safe bet in the sense that you can deposit cheaply with the most known one.
Not smart? It is smart my friend, there is nothing controversial in having alternatives. The only issues that could make establishments shy away from having multiple deposit and withdrawal options are security and liquidity. But a big casino like Stake has nothing to worry about with the two, if not, they wouldn't have dared it or would have stopped it. However, the benefits are enormous to both the establishment and its customers, as customer A may prefer Litecoin as an extremist and may only despite in a casino having that option. Won't Stake miss such a customer if such is so determined as a fan of Litecoin?

This is happening bro, though it is not so extreme for other customers but for their plans and convenience. The transaction fees and speed matters here too, especially when the network of one is congested as we often see on Bitcoin. That shouldn't stop us from sending money and the casino receiving money while gambling continues.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: Today at 06:04:11 AM
~snip~
That is why they are still kids, they are immature but just have that headstrong which will put them into trouble if we allow them to do as they please. That is why we are there, we are to guide them aright and no matter what they feel about the things that are wrong at their age or adult-related, they should never be allowed to do it no matter how they feel. When children are getting to the age of 14-18, they are worse to tame, and if it is not a direct negative impact through the parent, it may be cryptic, which could be tougher to detect as it could be through the environment, friends and many more, children are also very secretive to make the matters worst.

This is why parents/guardians should even be more sensitive and prove smarter than their children/wards to be able to know what they are up to at all times. There is no way they can outsmart the sensitive parents, after all, we tasted the water of this life before them and there is nothing they are doing or trying to do now that we've not done before. Above all, most of these children are not working to earn money for now, so any children who don't work for their money should not be allowed to waste money. Even if you work for the money, you still have to wait until you are mature enough to make a better-informed judgment of your own before engaging in adult-related activities.
When we call teens "troublesome", aren't we starting the trouble? Teenage hormones and angst aren't all. Important growth time. If they feel unheard, they may be secretive. Imagine an environment where free communication replaces detective work. It's crazy, but isn't it crazier to demand honesty while we're watching shows like Big Brother?

Money, now. Non-earning teens don't devalue it. It's about table seating. Allow them to make financial mistakes with our help. Calculated yet worthwhile risk. Financial choices are like life's
I share some of your views but not all. Fine, we did some troublesome and crazy things when we were kids, nevertheless, if you are sincere with yourself, you could have done some things better or even avoided them entirely. Even if this is not your case (since we can't take the same path), it doesn't mean it is not what others would have wished they did differently. This could only mean that the guidance of children is limitless, we should do our best to upgrade our old flaws and guide them in the best possible way. This does not mean we can't connect with them, we can still be their best friend and also help them drop what we believe is not good for them at their age.

Anything adult-related is not supposed to be allowed for children no matter the defence, there is time for everything.

As for the financial mistakes remark, this is not necessary for them at that age unless it is just the normal mismanagement of their allowances or pocket money. One can continue to guide them still and show them how to do it better. But for them gambling, I don't call it a financial mistake but abuse of their age.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: getting back into the BTC game on: Today at 05:41:09 AM
Sorry about your ugly experience with Bitcoin, but next time, you should be more careful. You may not even need the hard wallet, but keep your Bitcoin in multiple wallets. So that if one gets compromised, others will still be there for you. But if you are storing a huge amount of money, going for the Trezor Safe 3 may be a very good option. Still, make sure that you are careful about keeping your wallet, otherwise, it will be a waste buying the gadget.

As for the coming back, you are welcome, but ensure you are rather speculative than having the urge to invest itself. Know how to read your chart and make informed decisions. If you did, you will realise that now is not the time to invest in Bitcoin, the overall outlook is negative, so waiting is the best approach here. Some people may tell you to DCA, but my brother, don't answer them, you could suffer more loss before it gets better, so why not wait? For Bitcoin to have breached $62,120, it may move seriously lower and $50,000 is no longer safe again.
Yes you are right it is smart choice to be careful when investing in Bitcoin. And to reduce risk keep Bitcoin in multiple wallets. If we have a lot consider a safe option like hardware wallet. But even with safe wallet we still need to be careful. Before investing we should take time to learn and understand the market. Some people might say to invest little at a time DCA but it's better to be cautious and avoid losing more money. Bitcoin price might drop even lower so it's important to wait for a better time to invest. But if we will use the DCA method so it is not important that where the Bitcoin is and what is the price of it.

Holding bitcoins in multiple wallets is also a risk because of the pressure we will need to store more seed phrases, so using multiple wallets to store bitcoins is not a perfect solution and think it will make us safer.
When someone is trying to avoid the mistake of using a single wallet like before when the wallet was compromised through hacking and the option of distributing his risks by having multiple wallets that are independent of each other is not safe in your view, which option is safe? At least you should have added a better option and not just condemn.

Also, having more seed phrases as a reason to believe the option is not good is baseless. If someone can keep a seed phrase for a single wallet well, I don't see how such can't keep it well for multiple wallets and it is not new for people to have more than one wallet without any compromise. We've been sharing enough ways to keep seed phrases on this forum, if you don't know, you ask.

How low can Bitcoin go and what is a reasonable price for OP to start buying if not now? Do you both have proof or any guarantee that this bitcoin correction will cause it to drop below 50k$?
You sound so perfect now, you who asked such a question, do you also have the guarantee that Bitcoin can't go below $50,000? Maybe you should read what I wrote again, my experience with trading/investment will never make me guarantee any decision, I can only speculate.

Against your wish, one thing I will not do is tell people to invest when the market is strongly bearish regardless of the investment approach you are preaching.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When is the best time to trade a Bitcoin on: July 08, 2024, 11:13:12 PM
Having Bitcoin at this time is a very big achievement for anyone who has it now, but as everyone one may know no condition is permanent in the market you may have the up and downs loss and profit depending on how you strategically plan your personal business.
Now I observed that Bitcoin is like a gamble of football game whereby you go to the bet shop book your bet and wait for what will come sometimes you win sometimes fear can make you cash out after your cash out you may be lucky and sometimes you might lose something you would have gotten if you had waited.
This can only be a huge misconception about Bitcoin, it is never like a football betting and never will it or other trading and investment assets be. This is how you guys relate things that are not supposed to be related together to confuse others, and having such a disposition will never let you grow in the industry.

Fine, earning through Bitcoin is risky, but still, many people are trading and investing it to make money. Some are even living and sustaining their families and dependents through Bitcoin, so you don't downgrade it just like that. You only need to know how things work with it, but note, that it will never be easy as many would preach to you. However, if you want it easier, you need to invest and shun trading, but if you have that risk affinity in you, you may trade and leave investment, or better still, do both. That is what I do and I can assure you that dealing with Bitcoin is so profitable. Nevertheless, you need to do your part.

You need to, above all other things, know how to speculate. Reading your chart and being proficient in handling your psychology and management right will make you unstoppable. But don't forget, "practice makes perfect," Bitcoin trading and investment is not what will start yielding for you immediately, it might take you years of training to perfect this.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can you be profitable with airdrops? on: July 08, 2024, 10:53:12 PM
i have seen the word airdrop here in the forum many times but recently i encountered a social media post on a major platform advertising airdrops as a profitable opportunity i realized many people now are recommending crypto related things even in mainstream platforms

anyway my question is actually how can you actually be profitable with airdrops? i personally have not participated in one (yet, i am very interested in doing so) so i have no idea how many tokens are given for free for each address? is it just one or two? if so, how is that profitable when a lot of projects don’t even reach $1 and it will just be luck if it reaches three digits

i got curious because in that post i saw, many said that you can earn two to three digits (in us dollars) with airdrops so how are you profitable if you have 5 tokens from airdrops and its ath reaches just about a dollar?

To make profit with airdrops you can do following

1) If you do tasks manually, there will be limit to earnings.

2) Do not chase only free airdrops, you will be competing with many in these. Instead, there are airdrops which require you to stake some money or do some transactions, these are more fruitful.

3) You can also hire some VAs to scale airdrop work. But do this only after you have mastered the basics yourself and have started earning from airdrops already.
Airdrops are mostly a waste of time for inexperienced bounty or airdrop hunters, they don't know how to maintain the requirements that bring more stakes to holders. Mostly, airdropped altcoins don't get listed on average crypto exchanges, in such cases, it is not going to be worth even a penny since there is no demand by other investors. I have to agree, to put some effort into getting more tokens or coin amounts but you never know which aidrop is going to be profitable.
It is not only the inexperienced, both the experienced and inexperienced may lose their money or miss out with airdrops, it only depends on luck at times and how the brains behind the project make it easy for you. It could be easy for some people to run their mouths about this as though it is easy or a certain approach to it, but I tell people to avoid deceit, there isn't. Many of them know what they are doing, they only need most people for relevance and social media presence, so when there is a huge marketing presence already, they might start demanding what people may not be able to meet as conditions to proceed.

At the same time, some may even be a scam or too little in reward for the money, time and energy wasted on them.  This is why I do not give in to the airdrops and I even dislike people using some styles to compel me to do their bidding, especially with my social media accounts. I feel so little of myself doing that, which has been helping me to avoid wasting my time. And if I should use a fraction for this, the airdrop that works should be about 1/1000, if not less.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taxation theft? on: July 08, 2024, 08:08:37 PM
Morals talking time.

However, objectively speaking, taxation is theft. It's taking someone's property without their consent, and it is compulsory. It very much fits the definition of theft, even though you can find it slightly altered in other sources, like the Cambridge dictionary ("the crime of illegally taking something that belongs to someone else")
Lol...I can't stop laughing here cause I don't know which angle you are bringing this from and what it tends to justify. You have to know that a country's affair is a serious affair, it's not what social reasoning (moral is not the right word as used) can take care of.

"Tax is never a theft and never will it be regardless of how you may interpret it." I can only advise you to accept the tax of your country in good faith or protest so that the government may reduce it if it is too much. Anything that is in the constitution and the law of the land is binding and must be obliged to as Rights. Therefore, tax is the Right of the government, citizens have theirs too.

This is what is helping the country, otherwise, everyone will do as they like and there will not be a country fitting to live in because there will be broad daylight theft and anarchy since there is no means for the government to empower and operate security architectures in the country. That is one reason among countless reasons. Or do you want the government to work for the people while they pay nothing? People will not even be efficient about this if it is voluntary, so what will be the general state of the country?

I summarily conclude by saying that tax is good but must be justifiably used. There is no way the government will tax anyone if there are no purposes for it. Also, the government can't tax you if there is no law backing it. By virtue, I don't see this as "theft" in all ramifications but a "compulsion." Where there is a law, there must be obedience to it.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC touch 100k in the next bull run ? on: July 08, 2024, 07:40:58 PM
Will BTC touch 100k in the next bull run ?  What is the maximum upside possible in this coming bull run ?
$80,000 and $100,000 are the most talked-about Bitcoin target levels, but at present, the coin is disappointing people, though I suspected a thing like this. Well, we should not give up hope just yet, Bitcoin may still surprise us this year and next, notwithstanding, what I see on the daily, weekly and monthly charts is not encouraging, and the overall bias is bearish. So, having a serious bullish plan now may be highly insensitive of a smart investor.

Now, emphatically, if anyone tells you that Bitcoin will hit $100,000 this bullish season, the person is just lying, it's guesswork, do not believe it. No one ever knows the level Bitcoin will get to even as the optimistic condition faints more daily. We may have the hope/optimism for it, but nothing is certain here. The same thing goes for the maximum level it can hit in this bull run as you asked.

My candid advice is for you to move along with the wave of the market, and the best way to do that is for you to know how to read your trading chart accurately.

Good luck!
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: getting back into the BTC game on: July 08, 2024, 06:16:19 PM
I've been out of the crypto game for a few years now and I'm just now kind of dipping my toes into the water again.  Admittedly, I was a little angry when my original account on here got hijacked a few years ago and I wasn't able to get it back.  Oh well, water under the bridge, right?  Anyway, I just ordered a Trezor Safe 3 to start "hodling" again.  I've been reading different news sources about the future potential of BTC and it still looks pretty bright.  What is your personal view?  Are you still optimistic?  Riding the fence?  I'm curious.  Thanks.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: July 08, 2024, 01:19:15 AM
Recently, another fake news also emerged in the media that the NFF is set take a disciplinary measure against Victor Osimhen of which the NFF has publicly debunked the news. The national team of Nigeria is currently experiencing issues that wouldn't have been their in the first place if every party involved had tried to verify the news they heard in the media. The faster the Supper Eagles move away from any negative news the better for them to have good results in their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers
I have taken some time to read about public opinion on Osimhen's auto burst. And most of the public, have taken a subjective view about this. The younger generation are in support of Osimhen's how to burst while the older generation are on the side of the coach. They have called for a ban and the younger generation has said, "to hell with the ban" that Osimhen's career isn't dependent on playing for the country. I am concerned that if this issue isn't sorted out diplomatically, it will be a terrible example to younger players who will feel that they can have these types of outburst in the national team and go scot free.

Imagine you were the leadership of the NFF how would you salvage this situation?

In my mind, I feel like you cannot disrespect me and teach me how to react after you disrespect me. I have seen unnecessary comparisons between these two, coach and player which has literally almost nothing to do with what has happened. When you look at how the older generation support Finidi George, all day do I laugh.
Only if he knows that he has not just betrayed Victor Oshime but also lost respect forever from Victor Oshime after he was being informed about his situation.

People say the video will affect his club career and stuff because the name Victor Oshime is more than a brand and he is a public figure with lots of million followers.
This is a player that does things with his heart for the club and country, I don't like how they have treated him all around this season he deserves better than all these crap.
I love the position you take about this and I am not surprised with the whole episode. But note, as it is everywhere, there will always be a mixed reaction in a situation like this, so don't be surprised. Victor Osimhen is human and his reputation could be affected by the insensitive utterance of Finidi George and I must have reacted similarly to what he did if I was in his shoes. The guy was hurt and felt betrayed, he actually suffered another "Nigeria circumstance" where you will never know or hear the truth coming from the people from the corridor of power. All they know is lies and politics so that they can continue to cover up for their faults. You will never see them take responsibility but blame others.

Some people when felt cheated can talk and even overreact, that's their weakness so I understand the position of Victor, and instead of the well-meaning Nigerians to die the issue down, they started heating it up the more, to what gain? Some would say it will affect his career, how? Certainly not the Nigeria's incidents! But fine, Victor should be more careful and mature about some public reactions and utterances as he has been known for too many ugly incidents now, he should just apply wisdom even if he feels cheated and is within his rights of defence.

I can only wish him luck in this transfer window, all these will be put behind him when he is goodly fixed in a top club.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: July 08, 2024, 12:44:42 AM
I agree to that, no one can accurately predict the outcome of any game, most are just hoping that what they predicted will happen and will count as good prediction, better to assess it by your own instead of paying or believing to anyone who's claiming that they've got that sure bet and will allow them to win each time they pick or each time they place thier bets, most of them are just scammers or giving a benefits of a doubt if not it's just a small percentage of possibility,.
Ture! In my point of view I will also say that even a prediction expertise well skilled but I will till say that at the end of the day gambling is all about the luck. But the prediction experts in sports gambling can increase the winning chances. Because there are some factors that are also needed to make bet on sports like if you have knowledge about the about football and you are going to bet on cricket without know how it's work or which team is stronger and weak then there is bigger chances of loss. So even gambling experts prediction work in case of sports betting but everything is depends on the luck at the end of the day.

Exactly still gambling is all about luck, that's why I keep telling others that even though one that claims to be experts when it comes to predicting is still advisable not to go all in , or in order words not to gambling irresponsibly because you believe in that prediction, that with you can hit a nice jackpot. The truth is that , with that prediction there's still chances of one losing his funds when luck ain't on his side .  The best way to flow with luck is by gambling responsibly.
This context of using an expert prediction is subjective if I would be fair. Initially, I liked to entirely condemn it, but over time, I discovered it would be insensitive to be doing a thing like that. If it's the casinos we are talking about, then it is entirely useless to use expert predictions, but if it is about sports betting, fine, one may still derive a very good professionalism from them. After all, they would have done the work for you, so why do the work again? It shouldn't be a must. But still, I like people to go for the free ones if they would consider this option at all, it is those who are paying money for the service that still baffles me. They should also test the service they are opting for for months before fully believing in it.

However, I will not go for either of the two because they are such I can do myself, they are simple and I do create time for them. But for those who want to enjoy sports betting but do not have the time or expertise, why not? Yet, even as I advise them to use the experts' prediction, they should do that as they are learning how to predict it themselves. Relying on an external source for anything has never been the option I like, the prediction only takes a little learning and practice to be able to predict the primary sports betting options.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Committing mistakes helps us to become a responsible gambler. on: July 07, 2024, 05:45:15 PM
If any says that he or she never experienced this and always behaved like a responsible gambler then either they are speaking falsely or they are very new to gambling. The important thing is how much gamblers learn from these mistakes and how much they can avoid them in further playing.
It is impossible for every gambler to never make a mistake and relatively gamblers have gambled with great emotion because their predictions were wrong in high stakes, but I just believe that some gamblers learn from past mistakes and they tend to make the same mistakes in the next gambling session. We must be able to control our emotions in gambling by prioritizing gambling with strategy and we must still set budget limits, if we prioritize strategy then we will stop for a moment to analyze the opportunities for the next bet, so we have time to think about the opportunities to win the bet and we must spend time for relaxation to control emotions when we lose in betting, this can avoid high losses in gambling.
We've been discussing this context of mistakes in gambling for a while now, I only hope that we will utilize it rather than believing that mistake is a must. Some people will continue to believe this misconception for weakness and persist in making the mistake and also find solace in it to encourage themselves through various motivations which will never help their error correction and gambling advancement.

Fine, we can't do without making mistakes, and as you said, it might not even be the mistake directly linked to our approaches to gambling but psychological ones like the emotion you mentioned or the managerial aspect as well. Being a better version of ourselves with all right plans and calculations, and with discipline and determination are the ways out here and I hope everyone can ensure that through their regular gambling evaluation and continue to make a decisive change instead of being too relaxed about this mistake of a thing by believing it's a must.

Such a gambler will never grow!
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set a specific bankroll before gambling or not? on: July 07, 2024, 05:03:02 PM
A bankroll is not a universal magic bullet, it is simply one tool that can help protect against rapid loss. Managing your bankroll can extend the life of your capital. But limiting your trade size will prevent you from winning in the long run if you make bad decisions. Because those who believe that long-term profit depends primarily on strategy, and bankroll management is necessary primarily in order not to lose your capital very quickly, are absolutely right. In other words, to prevent short-term losses.
Hahaha...I'm confused right now with what you wrote. First, this is not a trading discussion thread but a gambling thread, and second, bankroll can't protect us from any form of losses whatsoever, it all depends on us, on how well we are prepared for gambling and how calculative and managerial we are in handling the bankroll.

The bankroll is just an overall deposited amount where we can be drawing our gambling wagering, but if carelessly managed, it can be a very quick catastrophe for the gambler. However, if well actualized budgetarily, this could further help our gambling experience to have meaning and enhance our overall responsible gambling.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 07, 2024, 03:24:07 PM
It was sad that Turkey was eliminated. Because we had a generation that could see the Final here. A manager like Montella failed to manage this squad. Had it not been for 75 minutes of Kenan Yıldız, maybe we would have expected a different result for Turkey. With the introduction of Semih Kılıçsoy, we started to create more positions. The last minutes were exciting and I must say that we missed many scoring positions. It was a match that we would have definitely won if it had gone into extra time.
i appreciate how Turkey played the Match against Netherlands. Turkey tried well, they were in attacking mood even they successfully able to Scored a goal in first half at 35' by Samet Akaydin. But in 2nd half, situation changed. Netherlands took this seriously and become so dedicative from 2nd half and apply their strategy and best effort even they did many Fouls and finally they able to scored 2 goal at 70' and 76' and that changed everything. Turkey should be more dedicative after they experienced 1st goal from Netherlands. Turkey tired their best even in last minutes, (saw Bertug Yıldırım got red card) and unfortunately they get defeated by Netherlands and lost the hope for play in semifinal.
Even though the Netherlands was my favourite to win, I must say that I love what the Turkish team performed on the pitch yesterday. They were able to score in the first half and defended it until the 70th minute when Stefan de Vrij scored which appeared to demoralise them. This is evident with the second goal by Mert Müldür's own goal which seems to have entirely destabilised the Turkish team. No doubt, the Netherlands team was the better side but the defence of Turkey gave them a tougher time than expected even as Turkey made more scoring advances than I thought. Thanks to the Netherlands's defence, they are always prepared.

Well, without calling any doom for any country, I think the Netherlands may still advance to the final judging by their next opponent (England). England has never been so spectacular in this tournament and if the Netherlands could edge higher with all determination to avoid the penalty knockout, it would be very good for them. I believe they can get this done as well. I want the Euro 2024 final to be interesting, certainly, if it is England that will play it, it will not be interesting with what I've seen so far.

In today's match, the Brazil team is doing the worst performance, so that the player of the Uruguay team, Nahitan Nandez, got a red card and left the field after 74 minutes. This was Brazil's biggest opportunity as the Uruguayan defense lacked defenders. But Brazil team is very weak in attacking department as today's match could have won if Vinicius Junior was present.
Because of the shortage of defenders, this opportunity could have been exploited by the Brazilian team, but due to the current shortage of players, Brazil lost this match by a margin. Although the ball was in play, Tribeca also wasted the opportunity, so the Brazilian team was in no way eligible to play this season.
What happened between Brazil and Uruguay further confirms the stances of many veteran players of Brazil that this present team is the weakest they've ever witnessed. Dorival Júnior has a lot to improve in the team. Although they are better than many teams in the tourney but if the truth is to be told, they are not like the Brazil I knew when I was growing up or even the Brazil of a decade ago, the weakness is there. I know that the Uruguayan team is not to be taken lightly as well, but still, the exit of Nahitan Nández is a better opportunity for them to reach the semi-final stage if they have the firepower.

They didn't have the chance against Uruguay in my view and I will not rate the Uruguayan defence as low as you make it look, the defence is reasonably okay and this is obvious in that despite having about 20 minutes before the end of the full match (with initial extra time), Brazil was still unable to deliver. From what I saw, even if two players were removed from Uruguayan's team, the same outcome may still happen, so what do we call that? Going forward, I congratulate the Uruguayan team to have reached the semi-final, we should leave the past behind us and look forward to their match against Colombia.

Colombia is a better contender than Brazil and beat Panama 5-0 to reach the semi-final. And their 27 games unbeaten can't be taken lightly as well, let's see how their feat/luck will play out on Thursday.

Kids should not be let off that easy, after all it is their own life they are ruining, so just as they can use those devices to gamble at such an early age, they could also use them to make a quick internet search and see for themselves the effects gambling could have on their young and impressionable eyes, but they do not do it, so they share the responsibility even if their parents were careless, as they have a responsibility towards themselves to try to get the best outcomes they can get for their own sake.

A kid, if not matured yet, doesn't understand much even though they think they do. You will often see kids saying that they know what they are doing and they can manage but they are all just words and they can't manage anything if they get in trouble, they can't even control their minds and emotions if they get into some difficult situation. So you can't say that the kids shouldn't be let off easily because it's their lives and they need to take responsibility.

By the way, what will the court do about this?
The story is just a case, nothing sorry about it. A person who cannot control their drinking habits should not go near risky investment unless they sober up.

So you have two things adding up to a disaster recipe, alcohol and gambling, both of which are "bad" - mmkay?
This guy is well know for this drug addictions including cocaine.

Court or no court, the person is at fault here, however they might want to justify their suffering. I hope they can recover what they lost or at least a part of it.
As much as I love to try to show some uncared attitude about this, I still feel for this guy as a human being, but sincerely, I frown at his ways towards the whole episode entirely. I can't decipher how weak people could be in their minds to that extent. Talking about the court help he sorted, the many months in a year when he has been engaging in it with the same style and practices, can't he think of his fault and change his ways ASAP?

He has enough case to answer as a complainant himself and I don't think the court will justify his actions for any reason as an adult doing an adult thing which was bound by terms and conditions, which he also agreed to before gambling and expected the court to vindicate him against the casino. I wish to know where this case ends.

-snip-
How long have you been gambling, and have you already figured out how to win? If yes or no, please explain.
If I remember correctly, I started gambling on sports around 2006-2008, I can't remember the actual year if I am sincere with you. As for the experience, it has been positive so far. From the beginning, I didn't believe that I could gamble all aspects of it and make money, I only believed that majorly, it was going to be a win-or-lose matter and it has been helping me so much. The money may not be as huge as it would be if I were taking more risk but at the same time, it is the strength of my encouraging sports betting. I make sure that I avoid permutation like many people do to make more money and live betting, it could be so misleading. Don't forget, my approach has never been the type that will make me rich so quickly, but it is better manageable and such that will limit my possibility of losing my money in a single bet. So it's worth it.

~snip~
That's true and I've mentioned that it is not a question of being rich or not but the question of what you will deposit and wager that will pinch you. Both the rich and poor have their limits, so when they are gambling in the bracket of these limits, it will definitely break them if this turns bad. Now, if they deposit and wager more than what their limits can take and they continue like that, they will surely be affected over time. It now depends on how wise either of them is to avert much gambling disaster. If they realise their fault, stop and change their way on time, fine, they can still be upstanding. But if not, it may devastate them regardless of whether they are rich or poor, we are all humans, and it is the right plans that matter here not status.

Yes, exactly right.

Just because a person is rich it doesn't mean they don't have a limit. Of course they have one, it's just higher.

But the thing is that both rich and poor can end up with zero on a single visit to the casino.

Yes, rich people have a much better situation than poor people, or that means rich people have more opportunities to survive because they have a bigger bankroll than poor people.

But yes, as you said, the facts don't mean that rich people have unlimited money, because if they spend all their money blindly on something that has no potential profit, then obviously all the money they have will definitely run out.

And if we talk about gambling then yes, in fact rich or poor are the same, the only difference is in terms of defense, or meaning the total amount of assets they have, which means that rich people have more money than poor people, but it remains the same as you say that the fact is that they could all end up with a zero balance in their accounts if they treat gambling the wrong way.
Just like the way the rich have the fund to bet more and the poor in contrast would have to try all possible ways to make sure that they make profits from gambling. Gambling can be very frustrating and more of desperate alternative for those that don't have the funds or enough funds to always play bets. No matter whether we are a poor, rich or average class gambler, we all want to make money from gambling. I think when the rich people lose bets, they are always calm and not too bothered when they lose since there could be funds somewhere they can use to bet more.
I've always maintained a point on this thread that being rich or poor is of the mindset and it is generally relative. I said that because the last part of your statement baffled me, and in contrast, the rich can only be calm if he has not gambled with a huge amount of money that can cross his limit. Do you think they don't have a limit? They do of course. Just like the poor, you can see them gambling as well and not feel it, that's if they gamble with a ridiculously low amount of money they can overlook. They can only get hurt if they gamble with the money which can't be affordable for them to let go. By doing that, they would have crossed that limit. Although these limits for the rich and poor may be a very wide gap but that doesn't mean that either class do not have a limit. So I will never use it as a total quality of the rich to say they are always calm when they are gambling, no, many of them may even be gambling and sweating. This is happening if they have committed the money they feel is too expensive to lose at that time.
