1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can the world be a better place without religion? on: Today at 07:46:56 AM
The world is encapsulated with so many religion embedded with different doctrines, teaching and belief which have affected our sense of reasoning in different ways. Religion has raised serious concern to mankind especially in terms of sociopolitical and economic coexistence. The major cause of insecurity in most part of the world today is the problem of economic and religion supremacy where everyone seen to uphold their religion with virtue and in a high esteem and even considered it to be the only true region and the only way to salvation and internity thereby condemning or seeing other religion as fake. So therefore, considering the problem associated with religion differences in world today, I think the world would have be a better place without religion.
The world wouldn't have been a better place without religion because most of them have a good doctrine that promotes peaceful coexistence, equity, and selflessness. The problem we are having is religious fanaticism and religious intolerance. Some people think that their religion is superior to others and have gone to the extent of forcing people to convert to theirs. People have been intimidated, beaten, and in some cases killed because they refused to convert to a religion. It is these fanatics that have caused conflicts and religious wars. With this superior mentality, some religious faithful wouldn't want it live peacefully with others. They think they should have the best while others should be treated like slaves.

Politically religion is affecting the quality of leadership. Most citizens vote for incompetent candidates because they belong to the same religious creed when they have more competent candidates. Religious fanaticism has also led to favoritism and partiality in the appointment of political officeholders and even the allocation of resources. Let me conclude by saying that from my observation, most religion has good intentions, but the problem is that followers misinterpret and wrongly apply most religious teachings.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling/betting shops vs Investment banks - Do you believe this guy's opinion? on: Today at 07:16:52 AM
First, this guy is not that popular compared to many others and it takes those who follow Nigerian music closely to know him.
Erigga is not popular with you maybe because you don't play his kind of music. Although he is not as popular as a few musicians who have gained international recognition when it comes to indigenous rap music, he is at the top echelon. He raps for the street and the downtrodden in the society.

The main gist here is that it's certain that most Nigerians who are gambling cannot be gambling for the fun, but certainly for the money, while many will still be doing that in desperation. But this doesn't end well for them, and at the slightest, they can't even improve their lives and that of their family, so looking elsewhere is a very good way to go. And truly, if you know how to work your way around quality investment, you can't compare it with gambling.
You are totally on point mate. The hostile economic condition of the country has pushed many people into gambling hoping to make money from bets. However, they fail to know that relying on gambling to improve their lives is believing in uncertainties. It will be better to invest wisely in other viable areas because gambling is not an investment. One might be lucky to win big but this happens sparingly. This is why people shouldn't see gambling as a source of income. Erigga has spoken wisely that the poor should focus on investing instead of depending on luck to secure a better future.

I can't fully agree with that person because if you say that gambling shops are only placed on the poor neighbourhood then it will be wrong because all the famous and reknown casino are in those rich countries and cities. And if you talk about the banks Since it is a business organization, these are built around the areas where their profits will be high.
If you read the original post, the musician just used poor and rich neighborhoods for illustration. His message was that the poor should focus on investment rather than putting all they have in gambling.
3  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Argentinian Regulators Talk Bitcoin with El Salvador Authorities on: Today at 06:33:43 AM
However, we should also take another note that their people in El Salvador have the freedom to use bitcoin without being identified as something similar to a criminal. On these types of government, the IMF and the World Bank should reconsider their power because they do not anymore have the same power as they had before the official adoption of bitcoin as legal tender. I agree that bitcoin will remain only as an alternative, however, it is a legal alternative, regulated that and accepted as payment everywhere in the country.
Not just in El Salvador, people are free to use Bitcoin as as a currency in different countries of the world without restrictions. In my country Bitcoin is not illegal, so I can use it for payments of goods and services. The only difference is that in El Salvador, the law mandates everyone and all businesses to accept it. While in other countries acceptance is optional and based on the agreement between parties. IMF and World Bank still have powers over countries that apply for financial assistance or loans. Any country that doesn't want to be influenced by these international lending organizations would have to avoid their financial assistance. No doubt Bitcoin is a legal alternative but not everywhere in the world because it is banned or restricted in some countries.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: Today at 05:22:08 AM
It would be quite strange if Nacho Fernandez accepted an offer from a Saudi Arabian club that is not very well known because it would cause the career he has built so far to sink because Al Qadsiah is not a strong club like Al Hilal, Al Nassr or Al Ittihad even though he is one of the big club players. in Europe it would be a shame if he chose to play with Al Qadsiah just because the club offered him a very high salary, indeed he is now approaching retirement age and perhaps what he is looking for is not another title but wants to play without pressure because playing with a big club also requires mentally strong.

Al Qadsiah next season will play in the Saudi League after 3 seasons they struggled in the 1st division to return to the Saudi Pro League again but I'm not sure they can last longer because their abilities are not on par with big clubs, for me they are at a club that is not very being strong will actually have greater challenges and pressure because we are forced to perform as well as possible, whereas being in an elite club has great players in it so the pressure is not that great, at least Nacho has to think again about his decision to join the underdog club.

After clinching 26 titles and playing 364 matches for a top club like Real Madrid, there is nothing more to desire in European football. He has enjoyed a long year of top-class football and had so many good memories now it is time to play for fun and the money. He considered moving to the US but he was attracted by Al Qadsiah coach José Miguel González's involvement and the irresistible financial package. Coach Michel was a former Real Madrid player and Nacho wants to link back with him in the SPL. The financial benefit of about 10 million euros a year is what the Spanish player has never earned in his career where his highest pay was €8.6m per annum.

The Saudi Professional League has improved over the years and Nacho is a big plus to the league. They need players of his class to use their experience to mentor young players and their reputation will bring publicity to the league. Al Qadsiah might not be as popular as other top clubs in the SPL but with the experience of coach Michel and their drive to bring in some players from Europe, we might see a surprise from the newly promoted side.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Can BRICS topple US' economic power? on: June 22, 2024, 11:21:00 AM
Day by day, the BRICS' alliance is strengthening itself as new countries become members of the bloc. They've announced their intentions of launching a digital currency of their own, in a bid to challenge the US' hegemony over the global economy. It's rumored that the new currency will be backed by Gold. Recently, Thailand announced its intentions to become a member of BRICS. At the time of this writing, the bloc consists of 9 member states.
The news of BRICs nation coming up with a single currency has been around for some time now but we have not had any details from the organization yet. For now, I observed that BRICs nations are promoting the local currencies of member states by accepting them as payments instead of the US Dollar. Russian trade with China is conducted almost without the US dollar and other member nations like India, Iran and Saudi Arabia are following the same path.

Quote
What would happen if half of the world (or a sizeable amount) joins the bloc? Would this threaten US' economic power? Or will they eventually fail? With rising geopolitical conflicts, the world will become extremely polarized. This might very well mean the end of the USD's status as the world's reserve currency and the US' status as a global superpower. Am I right?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
As at October 23, 2023, BRICs nations are estimated to have about 29% of the world’s GDP which is sizeable. With more nations willing to join, they will keep expanding and gain more global market share. The dollar has been a tool of dominance for the US, so a shift from this currency will reduce the influence of the US and its allies. BRICS currency will not necessarily lead to the fall of the dollar but it create a world where nations have the choice to choose between two powerful currencies. Expectations are high to see the resolutions as well as new nations that will come out from the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia from October 22 to 24, 2024.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on political events on: June 22, 2024, 08:20:31 AM
I propose to discuss bets on political events in this topic. Some bookmaker organizations offer such bets. In order not to engage in their advertising, I will not mention their names, but you can easily find them on the Internet using various queries such as “Betting on political events” or even “Betting on non-sports events”. Strictly speaking, political betting is a type of betting on non-sports events.
It is not a hidden or secret activity, many betting companies offer bets on different events. Even there is one who is offering bets on wars, such as which party will use nuclear weapons or not. Some platforms allow people to set up betting activities, while bettors place bets on them.

Here I propose to discuss all political events in all countries on which bets are placed, and not just political events in the United States.
Political events are popular and might attract more bettors because they affect the entire population of a country. It is also ideal because it is a recurring event that happens almost every year in different parts of the world. But I doubt if it will get much attention on the forum like sports. Discussions might only be limited to popular countries and nations that have large representation on the forum. There is no harm in trial, so you could give it a try to see how successful it will be.
7  Local / India / Re: Every upcoming economy or stable economy is now launching BTC ETF! on: June 22, 2024, 07:21:02 AM
The government of India doesn't have any clear understanding about Bitcoin. They still consider it as a mode to carry on illegal activities. That is why they will never allow SEBI to come up with something similar to Bitcoin ETF. I don't think Bitcoin will be ever traded in the Indian stock market.
I don't think that the government of India doesn't understand how the crypto industry operates. There is nothing complicated about the crypto space that can not be comprehended if one is willing to put in some effort to learn. Learning materials are everywhere and they can easily learn from other countries. Okay let's assume they don't know, but they can easily employ the services of experts in the industry to assist them in making and implementing relevant policies.

The only problem is that the government doesn't have an interest in the sector. The perception that the reason for not making crypto-friendly policies is that it is used for illegal activities is outdated and archaic. The US and other developed countries once had this mindset but they have moved past that era and are now making friendly policies. Government policies are highly dynamic so I cannot write off the possibility of India approving a Bitcoin ETF in the future.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian Government plans to begin taxing gambling. on: June 22, 2024, 07:01:52 AM
I was reading the news and saw that Nigerian government will soon introduce taxation to gambling. Taxation on gambling is not new in some countries so this will not be surprising to many people. But to Nigerians who are already experiencing difficulty in the economy do you think it is good for the government to still be planning imposing tax on gambling? there are gamblers who still gamble for fun in the country, will imposing a tax on it not push this people closer to depression as some may find it difficult to gamble comfortably.
Just as you rightly highlighted gambling tax is not strange in many countries, many gamblers pay high taxes for wins. There are also countries where gamblers are not taxed because gambling is seen as mainly a form of entertainment. Nigerian gamblers will have to keep enduring the hardship brought by the anti-people policies of the current administration. Gambling is not the only form of entertainment so people who gamble for fun will have to seek other ways to entertain themselves.
Quote
I also find it strange that the World Bank is supporting this with a financial support package of value close to $2.25million.
Since the taxation may not affect the crypto gambling community in Nigeria, this will encourage more gamblers to gamble now on crypto platforms right?

https://www.thecable.ng/world-bank-offers-support-as-fg-plans-to-introduce-telecoms-gambling-taxes/
The World Bank recommended these taxes so that the government will be able to raise enough revenue to service the loans they are receiving. Taking a loan from the World Bank is not a bad idea, but the problem with Nigeria is that most of these funds will be stolen by politicians and their cronies. While the people will be subjected to harsh economic policies to repay the loans.

The government of Nigeria is already clamping down on crypto-related businesses in Nigeria. Many exchanges have been banned from operating. Crypto gambling is a good option to invade these new taxes. But I am afraid that converting crypto wins to fiat might become a problem.
9  Economy / Reputation / Re: fake bounty campaign on: June 22, 2024, 06:30:57 AM
Good one right there, the community need to onow more about this scam projects,  many of those scam bounties have been the reason why many investors have lost trust on thr altcoin market.

Fake projects every where, promising huge Unrealistic rewards for hunters.
As expected the bull run is a period of the rise of fake projects. These scammers will always come up with different fake projects that aim at deceiving unsuspected investors. The offers are attractive and overhyped to attract people. Almost all the youths in my area are now into cryptocurrencies but a majority of these projects are waste of the time and resources since they end up as scams or without any benefits. Doing a little research before engaging in this project would be ideal. Thank you, OP for saving many people from wasting their time and resources.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Invasion of Taiwan-Prompted by US? on: June 21, 2024, 09:32:33 PM
Do you think this need of US to always be involved in many conflicts will fire back?
China knows that invading Taiwan will devastate its military might and economy. I don't think that the US is also considering entering a war with China because the consequences will also be grievous. Both nations have allies that can support a large-scale war that would last for a long time. A war between these two world powers will affect the global economy more than what we are seeing currently. If Xi Jinping feels that Joe Biden is tricking him into engaging in a war, I pray he doesn't fall into the trap because my country has not recovered from the problem the Russian invasion of Ukraine caused, another war will cause more economic hardship.

The US is claiming to be the police of the world but experience has shown that it is highly impartial. They support the evil of their allies but criticize others who do the same thing. The US has no justification to condemn China while they are supporting the killing of defenseless Gazans.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 21, 2024, 08:57:39 PM
Yeah, as we can see he has 95% pass accuracy and even 99% when he met Scotland, it's really disappointing to see a great player that can still able to play choose to retire. It's make sense if he retired because he has a problem with health issues or something like that, but he retired without any reason lol. He might want to start a business and enjoy his life in slow living, however many people still want to watch him!

https://twitter.com/Allsportztv/status/1803723622491516954
If you read his retirement announcement post on Instagram you will comprehend why he is retiring now. He said he wants it retire when he is at the peak of his career which means he wants to leave when the ovation is high. I think his decision is highly commendable and I respect him for that. He doesn't want to be a liability or at the mercy of any club. And he should be given accolades because he is not money-conscious. He had been offered a new contract and would have easily gotten a better deal in the US or Saudi Arabia but he chose to hang his boot. Everything is not money, maybe he wants to spend more time with his family and invest time in the things that give him pleasure.

Big change for Liverpool. I hope he will be able to prove that this is a positive change that Liverpool has made. Of course, we have to wait and see how Arne Slot is able to perform. And by that, I mean how much better results he is actually able to bring in. Klopp was the coach of Liverpool for a long time. After a long time, Liverpool is welcoming a new coach. I hope everything goes smoothly for him. But of course, there are always going to be bumps in the road. Let's just wait and see how he is able to handle those. Let's also see what kind of changes he makes as the coach of Liverpool.
Arne Slot brought the best out of Feyenoord while he was the coach. The Dutch club won some domestic trophies and was close to winning a continent cup but they lost in the finals. He is expected to replicate the same success in Liverpool where he would face greater challenges both in the EPL and Champions League. The English league is more demanding than the Eredivisie and Slot has never been in the UCL. We have to wait to see his performance in his first season.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recording gambling activities on: June 21, 2024, 08:04:41 PM
Those who chase their losses are addicted gamblers, and addicted gamblers don't care about such things, they never keep records. Record-keeping gamblers are responsible and disciplined gamblers because when you keep records of your gambling wins and losses and the deposits and withdrawals, it means that you want to understand how much you are spending, how much you have lost or won, and what you need to do to improve your gambling habits so that you don't lose a lot of money, maybe gamble less or with less money.

Besides, this is only done by gamblers who are gambling for money, they care about their wins and losses because they are in it for the profits, those who gamble for fun and to get some entertainment would barely need to keep records of their wins and losses, for them, if they win, it's a bonus, and if they lose, it's just their gambling budget being lost.
Keeping a record is a good practice because it will be beneficial for evaluating your gambling activities for a specific period. It will also help in budgeting and fund allocation to gambling. But I see this action as unnecessary and time-wasting because I gamble with an insignificant part of my income. I don't also need to keep records to be a responsible gambler because I gamble constantly with what I can afford to lose. The gambling history in my account is enough to show how I have gambled over time. I can only keep records of my business activities, gambling is merely for fun.

Anyway, I think people suffering from gambling disorders should consider recording their gambling activities. This move will go a long way in helping them to track how they have fared over a while. Addiction therapists might need this information to determine how far these people are recovering from addiction. This information will be beneficial for the therapist to know the next therapy to administer on his patients.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss "Gemini" twins donate $2m to support Trump on: June 21, 2024, 07:37:52 PM
What do you think about this donation? Will it make a huge difference on Trump's re-election campaign? If not, why? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
It is common to see business owners donate heavily to politicians they think will serve or protect their interests. This is not the first time we have seen crypto companies donating to presidential campaigns. Sam Bankman-Fried donated to both Democrats and Republicans for business and personal reasons, sadly he didn't get the protection he might be seeking.

Trump needs the money to fund his campaign so this donation will help them financially. The crypto population is quite insignificant so he might not get massive votes from them but they can help him get votes from the community. Trump is now been portrayed as the crypto president, I hope he will live up to expectations if he eventually becomes the president. But I will not vote for him because of the new image he is showcasing because politicians cannot be trusted.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 20, 2024, 10:11:13 AM
Yes, of course Liverpool supporters are starting to lose confidence in the change of coach that Liverpool is currently making, but a change of coach must always be done because there is no other choice and Liverpool supporters must believe that Arne Slot will be able to give his best even though he doesn't have much experience in the field. Champions League.
A coach who have won Dutch Manager of the Year two times,  Eredivisie,  KNVB Cup, and got to the UEFA Conference League final is not mediocre. He doesn't need to have championship league experience to make an impact. After all most young coaches who are doing exploits in football have no or little experience. What is the basis for the loss of confidence in Arne Slot when matches have not started?

Quote
Liverpool may see their performance decline slightly when they appear in the Champions League when they have to face other big clubs and also having to maintain their position in the Premier League will be a very big challenge for the new coach but we have to remember that Liverpool has reliable players who have great experience big so it can be relied on.
There is no reason to believe that Liverpool's performance will decline in the Champions League. The coach should be allowed to show his worth before we make conclusions. Yes, the premier league is very tough but the new coach has the quality to move Liverpool forward. I guess Jurgen Klopp might have recommended Arne Slot to the club.

Quote
In my opinion, Liverpool doesn't need to chase the title in the Champions League too much, but just get new experiences with Arne Slot, who also needs this experience to use as motivation in the future.
Liverpool have some of the best players in the world. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't compete for the UCL. My view is that they should get some new players and pursue are the trophies.
15  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP]Playgram - The Telegram Casino Review Campaign on: June 20, 2024, 08:53:25 AM
Telegram username:
@Fiatless12

Experience of playing in Playgram
Registration was easy as long as you had a telegram account on your phone. I funded my account with an equivalent of $10 using the BNB Smart Chain and it reflected in my account instantly. There were varieties of games but I chose to play the Sweet Bonanza 1000. I tried three bets, lost two, and won one. I think the games game is fair. Just like every other reputable casino I have played the experience was okay because the game system worked perfectly.

.

.

Opinion about Playgram platform
All through my playing time on the platform, there were no hitches. The website was designed in a manner that navigation is easy and that first-time gamblers or visitors will not have difficulty using the platform. The monthly referral system that offers a 25% commission on all invitees is encouraging. The welcome offer of $50 for 25 VIP spins on Gates of Olympus is exceptional.

Withdrawal method.
After the games, I tried to withdraw using the same coin I used in depositing into my account. However, the minimum withdrawal sum is  0.01 BNB but my balance was 0.009013 BNB. It showed that my transaction was successful when I sent the 0.009013 BNB but it has not yet been reflected in the receiver's wallet. However, I got a message from my transaction history that the first withdrawal takes up to 24 hours to be processed while subsequent withdrawals are instant.

.

Suggestion and opinion
Withdrawals should be instant whether it is the first or subsequent ones. I would have to wait to see if the withdrawal will reflect within the specific time to check if the minimum withdrawal sum is correct. I would also suggest that the withdrawal limits be reduced. The Playgram platform has some good bonuses but increasing them will be good for business.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you consider this Bitcointalk forum as? on: June 20, 2024, 08:51:21 AM

It's been a place to learn and earn for many who have been patient enough to go through the phases in this forum, but I wonder sometimes if it suits the demands of those who create more organized content and essays on other social media sites.

*Is it possible that good contents can be dubbed from this forum, that is, is it a place where good contents can be coined out from by other creators, without any references to this forum?
This forum is one of the best platforms when it comes to information about cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin. The content from this platform is more reliable than what we get from social media.

Concerning copying content from this forum to publish it in other places, it will depend on the policy of the receiving platform. We all know that this forum forbids copying text without referencing while other platforms might tolerate it. But the ideal thing to do is to give credit to the source of your information at all times. Claiming other people's intellectual property is morally wrong, so we should always reference the author of the content. I will not be pleased if my work is copied by someone without giving me the credits so I will not do it to another author.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They will find someone to blame for their mistakes on: June 20, 2024, 08:09:50 AM
Some people posted that such people like the bodyguard should not be allowed to bet on the date of Election but what if he told someone to help him out and the money will be shared? Or is something like this can not be manipulated? If you know what would be the result of something, you can do one or two or more manipulation with that thing.
Criminals can do everything possible to to hide thier shady scheme. They might be lucky to get away with it but sometimes they can be caught. When it comes to investigation about match-fixing or illegal betting, most of the people connected to the suspect are investigated. The case of Lucas Paquetá is a typical example when he gave his friends tips that he would get yellow cards and encouraged them to place bets on him. They had to trace the case to him home town in Brazil where they discovered that his friends won about £100,000 from bets on him.

Quote
I think betting sites should not be allowed to include such bet. They should not just only be blaming the man. I see the betting site faults also. Why making people to bet on a result that someone set?
The gambling industry is a free sector. Betting platforms are free to engage in any kind of bet if they can take the risk. It is the responsibility of every responsible gambler to obey the gambling rules. A security guard to the prime minister is under a secrecy oath and he should respect it. Anyone who is found cheating the system intentionally should be prosecuted.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legendary act! First Bitcoin Class in history. on: June 20, 2024, 07:43:17 AM
My Opinion about this project
- During his teaching I believe there was a lot of criticism, a lot of people would have considered him a scammer then but the future he already knew.
You might be surprised that many people still consider Bitcoin a scam currently. There are still people who believe that the coin is a Ponzi scheme that will soon crash. Tuxavant did good work about twelve years ago and we are celebrating him today. I am sure that a few years from now some Bitcoiners will also be remembered for their current contributions.

I agree that he is a legend. He was last active on the forum in 2019. I do wonder where these bitcoin OGs are and what they are currently doing. I also wonder about where the people who laughed at them when they spoke fanatically about Bitcoin, where they are currently doing. I wonder if they eventually invested in Bitcoin or are still stuck with their beliefs against Bitcoin.
As for the kids, I still have the same thoughts. How did they turn out?  Did they allow the teachings on Bitcoin to influence them? What have they been up to with regards to Bitcoin?
It will be hard to track the lives of most of the Bitcoin OGs due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin. I guess that some of them might be rich because they kept their coins to date while others might not be because they sold early or lost interest in Bitcoin. We cannot also trace the history of people who mocked them. But I am sure many of them would regret their action because Bitcoin is now bigger than they ever thought. We cannot also determine how the effect of the Bitcoin lesson on those children except if there are testimonies from any of them who attended the class.

I really enjoyed how Father's Day is celebrated in Germany. On this special day, men traditionally go on a walk or bike ride with a small wagon filled with alcohol. It's a unique and fun way to celebrate the day. Grin

https://americandadingermany.wordpress.com/2012/05/17/i-spent-three-m-7-2/

After reading your post I had to do a little research on how Father's Day is celebrated in Germany. And I think Germany has such a unique way of celebrating Father's Day. It will be entertaining to walk around with fellow fathers drinking a few bottles while we discuss and entertain ourselves. I also read that it is usually celebrated during a four-day holiday. One day for drinking and enjoyment while the three days will be used to sleep and recover from a hangover. In my country, there is no specific way of celebrating this event. Families or individuals usually choose how they celebrate it. Some usually give gifts to fathers while others go to religious houses to pray for fathers. Maybe I will experiment with the German style in my location in the next father's Day celebration.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 19, 2024, 10:45:11 AM
Although Asians do well in cricket, Asian countries do not perform very well in football. A few countries from Asia qualified for the FIFA World Cup and most of the countries that played in the main stage of the World Cup were eliminated from the group stage. Only Japan and South Korea performed slightly better than other Asian teams, still qualifying for the quarter-finals was the highest achievement.
No, the highest performance in the World Cup for an Asian nation is the semi-finals in 2002 edition hosted by Japan/Korea. South Korea made it to the semi-finals defeating teams like Poland, Portugal, Italy, and Spain. Africa also has a single country that has gone to the semi-finals when Morocco surprised the world with an exceptional performance in the last World Cup.

Quote
2022 World Cup was hosted by Qatar and they invested huge amount of money there. Qatar invests a lot of money behind football and yet their team does poorly in the World Cup tournament because Qatar does not have players in its pipeline like the big European teams who can support the team. As in Brazil, football is constantly being produced in Qatar, but not like this, that is why Qatar cannot perform significantly well in the World Cup
I don't think Qatar invested so much in the World Cup because they want their national team to win the competition. The Maroons is not a team that could compete with big football nations. Qatar hosted the competition for other reasons like publicity, business, and global acceptance. Most Islamic nations are trying to modernize and showcase themselves as a potential tourist and business hub. They don't have good players and their society is not friendly to migrants. Most countries depend on migrants in their national teams
