1  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Telegram records millions of new users due to Crpto mining. on: August 02, 2024, 08:54:09 PM
But then everyone needs to be careful cause there would lots of scam sites on telegram claiming to be mining projects and lots of ignorant people would lose funds to scammers
Indeed, Nigrians need to be careful because a lot of scammers have seen a means to scam people through telegram. It's always one project or the other, with series of tasks and at the end the miner needs gas fee in ton to withdraw. Purchasing 0.14 ton is 2k.
Everyday I receive notification of my contacts joining Telegram and I know the reason is no other than the trending airdrops aka free money. Nigerians are trooping in their numbers even people who do not know basic security tips. I know that bad players will definitely use this time to obtain as many people as possible because not everyone of these new people know that most of the things being circulated as airdrops are not airdrop but phishing links.

Imagine when a project requires 0.5 ton as gas fee that's like 6k. Then people go ahead to pay these gas fees with hope from earning on the project listing just for the project to list dust.  We must research these projects thoroughly before I'm baking on them in order to avoid heartbreak.
I do not understand the aspect of airdrops requiring people to pay as high as $3 to withdraw. Whenever I see something like that, I always feel that it is how they plan to drain people of their Tons and might be the reason for the entire airdrop that is after people have helped them grow their social media and youtube channels. My little experience in this digital space has exposed me to a lot of things and made me realize that nothing is completely free. There is usually things to do or spend to get something.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: August 02, 2024, 08:30:08 PM
I`m in it for a good 10 years from now anyway, so may as well just set-and-forget really, the thought of watching charts for the next 10 years really doesn`t appeal to me.
I know you are new to bitcoin investment, but I want you to know that since you are investing in bitcoin for the long term, there will be no need to read any charts before you can accumulate bitcoin because you are not accumulating bitcoin for short-term profit. Bitcoin investment is simple, and since you are a newbie or a new investor in bitcoin, I will advise you to accumulate bitcoin with the DCA strategy so that you will not need to time the market or read any charts to guide you to buy bitcoin at a low price, which may delay your bitcoin accumulation journey because the bitcoin price might not reduce to your entry point. With the DCA strategy, you can accumulate bitcoin even when the price is increasing or decreasing, and it will also help to control your emotions.
A little guide on how to go about it would have helped. Your advice to avoid looking at the chart always is valid and for new investor, it is not necessary to know how to ready the chart because it is just like a waste of time. Instead, he can buy from the exchanges using market execution if he choses to use the DCA method which is highly recommended for a new investor. If the option is to wait for dips before buying, this might also be good but a new investor should think more towards the DCA method which is more systematic and have some forms of discipline inherent in it.

In addition, he also have to pay attention to other things that will help him HODL not just how to buy. He might have good plans in terms of long term but if he did not make adequate preparations, such plans can be spoilt. There have been cases of people who plan to invest and hold but have no proper plan and in the end they sell their Bitcoin when issues arise. So, while we focus on buying, we should also make plans for how to protect the investment from sudden liquidation.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dull moment in gambling on: August 02, 2024, 03:47:32 PM
I was browsing on casino last night to find a game to play after my long inactivity on casino action due personal reason. I realized that I just keep browsing but can’t find a game that interests me.

I’m not sure what’s wrong. I think I lost my motivation to gamble due to my long rest from gambling. Right now, I’m just playing demo mode to try games. FYI, I

Do you ever feel dull moment in gambling too?
It happens when you stay away from gambling for a while, it will usually like as if you are starting all over again and that way you have to figure out the games you win easily and that can be tiring sometimes. If you are active in gambling, somehow you will build some strategy around the games by figuring out the games that works well for you at certain times of the day or things like that. Personally, I there are some games I love playing at night and some at day and that is how I get the desired result. If I take a long break from gambling, most of these things might have changed and using same pattern might not really work perfectly well; this care make the whole thing tiring.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: August 01, 2024, 09:03:23 PM
I think the market just offered us another opportunity to buy, buy and continue to collect more Bitcoin at a very reduced price. This does not come as a surprise to me though because I expected some corrections from ending of July to August but this will begin to change as we approach September, a month that is always seen as a positive month for Bitcoin. Both those using the DCA method and buying the dips have the chance to take advantage of the drop in price. This is not the time to panic but time to take actions that is intentional.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [DUELBITS.COM] HAVEN'T GET $5050 WITHDRAWAL SINCE 29 AUG 2023 on: August 01, 2024, 04:48:29 PM
You have so much details on this so I doubt a friend will let you have access to such details including his emails but it is OK to represent a friend. As for this case, I think something is not clear here and only your friend can clarify it. And like some people already confirmed, coming to lay a clear one year after the event what I find strange and it raises a lot of concern regarding the legitimacy of your claim because someone that flipped $14 to $5k will not rest until his withdrawal is processed.

Meanwhile, what I think is most likely cause of the problem is the self-exclusion request by your friend. If this is looked into, it will not be far from the cause of the problem since your friend did not break any rules base on your explanation and the screenshot provided where the Duelbits support confirmed that also.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost all my selected matches after refreshing page on: August 01, 2024, 12:10:44 AM
Why not when you're doing your analysis write down your selections, then go on the site and put in your selections? Then you at least have a record of what you were/are going to wager on and wouldn't have to redo the research.

I'm sure it sucked to have to start all over, but if you try it my way you will not lose anything except a little extra time writing.
It may sound funny but if I write down my selection before I place the bets, I will lose the bet. I have lost count of how many times this has happened to me, so to avoid this, I usually play just few matches from few leagues. As a matter of fact, as the season starts, I will use the first 5 matches of each team to know their forms from there I will make my selection to bet every other week.

Seems the OP is in the habit of playing long slip and what he would have done was to book the game and copy the booking code so that when he wants to continue, he call up the game and add more selections.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don't like the idea of governments holding millions of Bitcoins. on: July 31, 2024, 11:29:21 PM
I don't think it matters if you like it or not, Bitcoin is decentralized therefore accessible to anyone. If governments think it wise invest and hold Bitcoin, they can and I see them just like an individual holding Bitcoin. There is really no difference between government holding Bitcoin and big cooperations like MicroStrategy...

Your reference to what the authorities can do through regulations can still happen without them holding majority of Bitcoin. It is just a matter of time before countries start investing in Bitcoin, the signs are there already. As individuals, we should just prepare ourselves for that time and take advantage of the opportunities we have now.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Maduro is on risk of being toppled down. Any platform provides bet on this? on: July 31, 2024, 11:01:13 PM
No platform will take such risk because democracy rarely exist in those countries so anything goes. The only platform that could offer such option should be those located in Venezuela  but then, they will be exposing their business to serious risk if the authorities find out because no one can tell what the reaction will be.

During our last general elections, we had such in local gambling platforms but the elections were rigged which makes it useless putting such event gambling sites.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is your win a function of luck or how much you know a sports? on: July 31, 2024, 10:33:07 PM
Winning casino is mostly through luck only some few games that require skills but sports betting is majorly through skill which knowledge is part of. If you draw opinion poll here, you will see that not many people know all the rules and style of play in soccer, tennis,  hockey, basketball and other sports. You will notice that if you have so much knowledge about the sport, it is then possible to win them because you know your way around it. I was in a discussion with a friend who bet only NBA because he has so much knowledge of it whereas I bey mostly on soccer because I have good knowledge of it. Knowledge is a major decision making index in sports betting.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Club loyalty or winning bet? on: July 31, 2024, 01:06:52 PM

I am also a fan of a club that I love, but I would prefer to win a $500 bet than to see them win the UCL. My loyalty doesn't supersede my quest for gambling wins. What's your view?

I'm not a blind follower of any team that I support, and I have done so several times, betting against my favorite because they are a huge underdog and they have no way of winning the game.
You already stated that you don't support clubs blindly meaning your passion for the club is not that high else, I would have said it is a difficult thing to play against the club one support. Well, I know there are different levels of supports fans give to their clubs, maybe yours is the light type. As for me, I avoid playing the club I support whenever I suspect they will lose or have a hard time winning. I will simply remove the match from my selection or just play them base on goals so that even if they win or lose, as long as they give me the desired number of goals, I'm good.

11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: July 30, 2024, 10:41:40 PM
Yeah, but so what?  You don't need a lot of capital to either invest or to trade in bitcoin.  Sure, the more capital you have the more advantaged you will be, yet bitcoin gives you a lot of opportunities, even without large capital, and you work with what you got.

So many times, poor people whine about how they would be so much better off if they had more capital blah blah blah.... and those seem like waste of time mindsets.. since you can both ONLY work with what you got, and yeah, it is obvious that more capital provides more options.... yet at the same time, there are opportunities, right here in front of all of us, to invest or trade in bitcoin without much capital at all.  You can start with $10 or $100 or even $1k is not a lot of capital and figure out your strategy from there.

What is the essence of DCA if we can't start investing with the little amount we have. Anyone who complains about how much to start investing doesn't want to invest at all. They are procrastinating and would never buy even if they are rich. The solution has been there through DCA. It will allow beginners or old investor to slowly increase their portfolio while taking into account the inevitable fluctuation in the price of Bitcoin.

No doubt that it is important to have capital, but would you rather wait for you capital to expand before starting an investment and staying committed to it. I would understand if one knew that he can't keep up with the investment once he starts because the income is not a steady flow because he will lack commitment. Such person could possibly decide to wait until it becomes steady. Because one thing is to start, and the other is to maintain consistency and commitment in investing at the right time we choose to.
What you are saying is very much understandable, but have you considered those low income earners, those set of people that barely feed three square meal a day, how would they squeeze out something to invest when they can't even feed properly,  and even though they manage to, with time, due to how things are difficult for them due to their poor income, they will still falls back to their holdings because they can't save anything out from there current monthly income due to hardship, so most times it not just about procrastination that has made some people not to have invested in Bitcoin, sometimes it's due to poor income, because am very sure that if  your primary needs is not taken care of first, you can still invest, but you will not be able to hold firmly.
Low income earners who do barely have enough to feed exist but in such situation, investing in Bitcoin is the last thing they should worry about because they need money to invest in Bitcoin. If they use the money they are supposed to use for feeding and invest in Bitcoin, it is a matter of days or week before they sell the Bitcoin because food is a basic necessity unless they have decided that they will die of hunger instead of selling their Bitcoin so that when they die someone else will sell the Bitcoin or it becomes lost coins.

To invest in Bitcoin and be able to HODL it, the investor must first of all set up the money for their basic needs which cover food, shelter, medical and others. After then the investor have to protect the investment by setting up emergency funds that will take care of things that fall outside the basic needs which can come up unplanned. It is after this two set of funds are in place that there will be some level of confidence that the investor can invest in Bitcoin and HODL without the pressure to sell.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: July 30, 2024, 09:55:29 PM
I've played for a while now, starting officially with friends back in 2020. So far the experience of "fun" as you're trying to put it is very fleeting and very short-lived, not that I don't know anything about it, I signed up and started with my gambling journey alongside friends knowing that we may lose money and that the enjoyment wouldn't really amount or last as long as we would've wanted, but still.
Card games like Whot are some of the most interesting gambling games to me but the issue with Whot is that while it requires you to think fast about exploring the smart option of beating your opponent, it also takes luck sometimes for you to win. Card games are not entirely based on smartness as you will have no choice than to make some unfavorable decisions sometimes not because you weren't smart enough but because that's the option left for you. Nevertheless you still need your IQ most to get the better chances to win. This will be the only little downside if we may call it, of card games like Whot.
Generally I love sports betting and I have been on that for the longest time. It has been exciting and emotional although in terms of winning, I have not gotten there yet. However, later this year I have decided to focus on casino games too maybe I could win a huge multiplier. This is my new decision is really giving me so much excitement already because I could target big wins with very small amount of money even though it does not come regularly. So far, Slots have been behaving fine for me.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: July 30, 2024, 08:39:17 PM
When I am over confident I make a stupid move and the result will be losing my capital fully. This always happens to me when I am playing crash. I have now stopped playing it because of my stupidity. I would always start with low bets and after a point when I am getting decent multipliers, I would suddenly place a big bet and the next thing that happens to me is that it gets crashed. It has happened to me in so many times and later on I realized that after a certain point I tend to become overconfident. This risky approach has costed me a good amount of money and for the time being I am planning to take a break from gambling.
I think taking a break is probably the best decision to make,  and I wouldn't really call it over confidence it's actually greed , my reason for saying this is because even when you were constantly making profit you weren't satisfied, I also have this experience with crash games that's why I can relate to this, I've lost a lot in crash games due to greed and trying to chase my losses... when you are trapped in that cycle of playing constantly you can never win, people always say that the only way to win gambling is to win and run away.. I'm also with you on this I've decided to take a long break
I think it is just few gamblers that understand the importance of taking a break from gambling in the event of consecutive loses or major wins. The few that take a break from gambling only do that after consecutive losses and this is something I confider incomplete because if a gambler did not learn to take break during major wins, there are high chances that most of the winnings will return to the casino. Of course giving back winnings is a very painful thing for the gambler so instead of this happening, it is wise to take a break after a major win to protect the money and put it to good use.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com|Casino & Sportsbook|VIP|Instant withdrawals!|AFA, Suarez, McGregor on: July 30, 2024, 03:56:22 PM
No one to see that outcome since many people think that USA will became more dominant compare to South Sudan. But they prove all wrong and they show some great performance then leave some thoughts to other team that they are ready with big team they are facing. Provably that we can see more from South Sudan since became one of the exciting team to watch.

South Sudan wins against Puerto Rico https://www.espn.com/mens-olympics-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401690637 it shows how good their current roster brought on Paris Olympics. And their story is really nice which catch up a lot of Basketball fans.
The South Sudan team first surprised everyone with their good performance against the USA team during the showcase game, and now they got their first win at the tournament. It looks like South Sudan has a good chance to finish second in Group C, i.e. make it to at least the quarterfinals.
Their win against Puerto Rico was not a big surprise to me because they already demonstrated their strength against team USA. So I knew the match would be a work over for them  and I was not disappointed. 90-79 is a clear win devoid of coincidence and I give it to South Sudan. At this pace, their future in the Olympics is bright and like you said, they might clinch first position in the group. It really feels good seeing an unexpected country pull this kind of surprise, at least let's hear something good from that war-torn country.
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: July 30, 2024, 02:39:36 PM
Sponsoring Southhampton right before the English premier league starts in August seems to be their marketing decision right now. Hope they can get some good number of gamblers into their platform with this year's games.

Almost every crypto casino out there is trying to sponsor a big name from the leagues, bugs me - why the governments cant legalize crypto more easily? Huh
The Premier League is the most watchable football league and crypto casinos promote the least-ranking football clubs in the Premier League. I think this is a cost-effective method to promote a casino, they increase their awareness, especially when their club plays against top teams like Manchester City, Liverpool and etc...
Rollbit and many other crypto casinos have an exclusive, British version aimed at the British population. Rollbit operates as Rollbit.co.uk in Great Britain and as far as I know, they don't accept cryptocurrencies on their British website but via this advertisement, they'll attract many people worldwide to their major, rollbit.com website.
In my neighborhood, we cancel serious engagements because of EPL matches especially when our favorite team is playing. It is a huge market that cut across many continent and I can say with certainty that Rollbit will continue to get bigger from this point. By the way, I will be very happy and proud to tell my close friends that the company I market in the forum is the sponsor of Southampton, a team very popular due to their presence in Pools that is played in every nook and cranny of my country.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 29, 2024, 11:57:19 PM
Roque suffered same fate when Xavi was a coach and now that Flick is in charge, good act by turning that such tempting offer from Saudi  I hope its not a rumor actually because SM might be full of shit sometimes Cheesy
Apart from that, It pains me to see how barca could just let go  of Joao felix  so easily and soon... Joao Felix is full of skills, he wasn't given more chance to play by xavi but even with the little, he proved exceptionally well in performance but it so sad barca didn't care,  their financial status has really changed them alot.
I was also surprised to see that Barcelona let go of such a quality player like Joao Felix. Of a truth, he seemed not to be in the good books of Xavi, the reason he was not given enough opportunity to showcase his skills, maybe this could have backfired on Xavi in terms of his results and achievement in Barcelona.  With a new management in charge, it would have been nice to retain him and see how well he can contribute to the team.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not only about winning and losing, but about psychological control on: July 29, 2024, 11:52:53 PM
It’s normal to feel extreme emotions when gambling. Be it extreme stress or despair or extreme happiness, both can be equally dangerous. When you experience these extreme emotions you can make decisions that you might not normally would consider when you are not under such extreme circumstances.

It might be difficult but if you don’t want to end up with too much losses, you need to control your emotions
Yeah but controlling those emotions needs time to fully take effect because it is not about instant stop thing especially we are dealing with our own emotions. But it is true that it is dangerous because if we cannot control it we might fall to addiction and people around us might also be affected especially our loved ones.
For the most cases, people learn from experience which comes with time just like you have stated. I take myself as for example, when I started gambling, it was pretty easy for me to win and because of this I started becoming complacent and over confident, taking unnecessary risk and not knowing when to stop. As you know, gambling have a way of teach us a lesson; that was what happened to me. I learnt the hard way but thankfully I was able to overcome that challenge of lack of self control. I got better and it shows in my results afterwards.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scared Money don't make money; gambling helps you delegate your money. on: July 29, 2024, 08:42:46 AM
Some people are scared of Gambling because they are afraid to loose money. Same reason why they probably don't want to start up a business or invest their money into something that might yield a fortune in the future because of the probability of failure.
The fear of failure is real and a major hindrance to many people. The danger of this is that anyone entagled in it will hardly grow because they will never do anything involving risk, forgetting that risk is present in every business in life. I think one thing I have benefitted from gambling is overcoming this fear and this has helped me in my investment both in Bitcoin and the real sector. I no longer the fear of being wrong stop me once I have weighed the risk that it is something I can bear.

Let's not always look at gambling from a negative point of view, for me, gambling is just like I'm delegating a portion of my money into something that could yield greater returns for me and since I can do my analysis on games and it works well for me, gambling is another way of making money with
You are largely correct and I agree with you. I view gambling as a business and not hobby, I expect to make money from it using my money. I'm afraid to lose the money because I play within my budget
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: $4,000,000 Locked Without Communication @ BC.Game on: July 28, 2024, 08:46:23 PM
This issue with KYC after winning is becoming very disturbing and, at this same time, discouraging. Why can't these conditions be spelt out ab initio so gamblers will know what they are up against. Well, this is one side of the story and I hope an agent responds to this to clear the air because it is possible it could be a communication issue; a situation where they needed more time to complete their audit but did not communicate adequately. However, if this is not the case, it will really be very big cause of concern for highrollwers.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump speech at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference held in Nashville. on: July 28, 2024, 12:52:25 AM
Attending the conference is a great move and a good one for the Bitcoin community. Even though he might have other intentions and agendas,  it becomes easy to hold him by his words which for now seem positive for Bitcoin. However, I have learnt not to swallow the words of politicians hook and sinkers,  rather I will take it with a pinch of salt as only time will reveal what the true intentions are. While we wait for the elections, it is wise to enjoy the gains that the market will make following these developments.
