1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 24, 2024, 01:43:26 PM
I was a little surprised by Pep Guardiola, who yesterday won the title in the EPL, saying he was bored and wanted to look for a new challenge, so there were rumors that he would leave Manchester City and could be followed by Haaland, who would indeed take part in the news, of course. If that happens, there is a possibility, in my opinion, that Manchester City will experience difficulties which might affect their performance. I hope Manchester City can win the Champions title next season, even though it seems difficult because the competition in the Champions League is tough competition, but if Manchester City is confident, maybe they can win the Champions League title next season.
I don't think Pep Guardiola is willing to leave Manchester City for now. What he may have said in the media seems to be for some personal reasons. Perhaps he wanted the hype and the fame, bragging about the EPL title he had won since he came to Manchester City and that there is no other team in the EPL that matches his strength. Such things are rumors that he is willing to leave, and I know he is a little scared because he knows Arsenal is rising so fast which will be the next one that will take the league from his hands. He doesn't want to be the Manchester City when Arsenal wins the league, he is too scared to see his downfall. Let him remain if he feels he is the boss. I am certain that the next season won't be taken lightly.

Another good day for Spain to get another 3 points in Group B. Playing against Albania is something that will be easy for them. Because Albania may not seem to be as tough as Italy. Meanwhile, Spain managed to get a win from their last game by getting lucky enough to escape the defensive line of Italy. I don't think Croatia will be lucky this time. This is because currently, we can see that Croatia and Albania have the same strength of performance which made them have a draw last game. Either Croatia or Italy must have a win today to be qualified for the next stage.
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Aggressive Bitcoin investment. on: June 24, 2024, 01:23:45 PM
Aggressive Investment is not only putting all your funds in bitcoin without having reserved and emergency funds, sometimes investing %80 of your funds in bitcoin without considering the level of your discretionary and emergency funds can as well be seen as aggressive or over doing.
If you put 80% of your discretionary income into your investment is considered aggressive and I would say it is unwise. Because in such a way you can't have any emergency fund or reserve fund there will be nothing left to cover monthly expenses unless the level of income is high. For example, for an income of 300k to 500k putting 80% will be a risk but not as much as someone who earns 30k to 100k monthly he cannot survive with 20% which is very small to take care of oneself talk more having reserve and emergency fund. People earning 1 million and above can surely out 80% for investment as the remaining 20% is 200k and could be enough to cater for his expenses.
4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin reserved funds are not meant for fun spending on: June 24, 2024, 01:15:55 PM
Apparently, I thought you meant having a Bitcoin reserve fund, just like having a reserved Bitcoin fund whenever you use your other Bitcoin accumulated portfolio to take risks like buying and selling, which may be considered trading. However, the reserve fund you are referring to is a general fund and the topic should be Reserve funds are not meant for spending excluding the Bitcoin there.

The reserve fund is extremely necessary and not just something that one should take less seriously. This is because when accumulating Bitcoin there are times when we would want to buy more than we have made up in our minds to buy. We get to tap into the reserve funds and buy then later fill it. Just like you have said reserve fund is not something that one can be scared of touching because it is not an emergency fund that is needed for emergency purposes.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every moments of bitcoin value is appreciable for investors on: June 22, 2024, 07:27:09 PM
If someone cannot predict the exact timing of buying then he should focus on the price That if he can afford to buy then think about a percentage which you will invest based on a monthly or weekly basis. I think one should use the method of DCA because there will be no burden on a person to invest in just a single try.

Market volatility should be kept in mind and make a decision according to the volatility so one will not be worried about his loss if he continues investment with patience.
If we focus on buying at a certain price, it will be difficult for us to collect and choose to buy once a month or once a week, of course this will make them have enough assets to look forward to profits when prices rise later and by using the DCA method we will certainly be able to make someone routinely collect their Bitcoin assets, of course they can do it consistently to be able to enjoy the profits from the investments they make, in investing of course we must be able to do it with patience and never make investment decisions without you doing an analysis first because by doing it first Our analysis will certainly reduce the potential losses we experience on these investments.
I saw in a thread where someone was asking if one can by as the price is in dip through DCA or wait for it to go down more and buy at a certain price along the dip timeline. I noticed he had little knowledge of his investment but what came to realize and put in my heart is that when the price is in a dip there is nothing like the perfect dip, every dip price is a good price to buy Bitcoin. Who knows while waiting for the perfect dip the price stops there and starts correcting back up. It will be so painful because such a person had the intention to buy in the dip but was waiting for the perfect dip to buy.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to do when there is a continues DIP on: June 22, 2024, 07:10:38 PM
Where investors will feel they have lost confidence in bitcoin because it will not go up again while in every cycle bitcoin always records a new ATH.
I suspect that the investor does not have strong fundamentals where when the price continues to fall he feels panic because he sees the market continues to be red, maybe when he is in a bearish phase he will not be able to invest anymore.

So rest assured with bitcoin as long as you HODL 5 years more you will feel the benefits.
So when the price drops then you buy but the market slumps again then you don't need to panic if you still have spare funds buy DIP again means you are in accumulation at the best price but if this considers panic you will start to feel uneasy when the price drops again.
No doubt the best way to invest in Bitcoin and have peace is by holding it for long as a target or goal. This is because if one is investing for the short term there will always be constant checking of the price, which many people even after knowing about the fundamentals of Bitcoin yet will still panic. This is because they are not disciplined enough to control risk and maintain calmness when under pressure. Every investor right now is fully aware that in times like this a lot of people are in fear of selling, while some are uncertain if they are to buy more or sell.

In my opinion, if an investor has reached his accumulation goal it is not compulsory to buy more right now if they don't want to. They should just hold on to their investment for long. But if they have more funds to buy then it is also good, the price will correct back up and make some bullish movement soon. This is normal in the Bitcoin market.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: June 22, 2024, 06:54:43 PM
It's been a very long time, maybe in the last 2 months the price of Bitcoin has been stable between $60k-$70k and hasn't shown any signs of being bullish even though the halving has started. it's actually very realistic to expect bitcoin to reach $100k because before the halving started bitcoin's ATH was $73k. I think in the near future we shouldn't talk about $100k because bitcoin's biggest challenge right now is crossing $70k.
When the market is bullish or even bearish, there will always be a correction because it is impossible for the price of Bitcoin to always rise during bullish times and also during bearish times to always fall.
Currently, the price of Bitcoin is experiencing a correction and the factor of long-term holders who are reportedly taking profits so that the price of Bitcoin is experiencing pressure but long-term holders will not sell all of their possessions because they know that the price of Bitcoin is still targeting higher prices this year, so traders will make Bitcoin prices are starting to rise, but no one can analyze exactly when that will happen. At the end of this month, my prediction is that Bitcoin prices will reach $70,000, and next month there is a big chance that Bitcoin will reach the latest ATH, and $100k will likely be reached this year.
Of course, there is no time Bitcoin continue to dip without retracing back. If so, there will be no volatility for traders to trade. The system was built in a way that even if there is a bearish pattern the price of Bitcoin will dip and rise a little and keep fluctuating like that. I have never seen Bitcoin follow a bearish or bullish season completely without going in the opposite direction at least a little.

It's been a while since I saw such candles. What a good time to buy more Bitcoin because the price of Bitcoin will continue to dip irrespective of the green candle. It's a sign that it will take quite some time for the price to reach 100k at least not yet.

Guys what do you think?
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 22, 2024, 06:34:28 PM
I knew that Arda Güler would contribute to the game, but it is not right to bring Arda into the game and expect something when the score is 3-0. I think it is a wrong choice not to play them in the first 11 when there are players like Arda and Kenan. If the players have minor injuries, it is a mistake to enter the game. If they do not have any injuries, they should have played in the starting 11.
The coach made the wrong choice because the first eleven of turkeyi that played in their first game played very well and should have been the same team to start this game. Arda Guler would have been a threat from the beginning of the game for Turkeyi. Turkeyi will regret missing that first early chance they had to score Portugal, that would have made their game plan more to work, but after they missed it, and they were scored by Portugal, they lost composure and that resulted in the break in communication that caused the second own goal.
For Ronaldo who chose to pass to Bruno than score, was it due to unselfishness, or a drop in his confidence that he could score from there?

I won't blame the coach. He plays the players that were active and informed in training and with the game plan he has arranged he feels these are the players that are capable of executing the game. I think the players were confused when they saw the plan was not working in the pitch for them. They tried several ways to re-strategize but were unable.

If he had known he would have played the same pattern in the last game, perhaps a goal or two would have come out before the end of the match. I am not really happy that they were unable to score even a goal because I had played the both team to score in the match. Today is one day for the bet to lose, however, it's nothing to worry about we go again another day.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to do when there is a continues DIP on: June 21, 2024, 07:59:36 PM
so if the price continues to dip further, is it not going to make those investors to lose confidence that the price may later not increase again?
A true investor who believes in Bitcoin won't lose confidence at all. To them, this is a better time for them to keep buying as long as they have more funds to buy. If I had enough money right now, I would lump the sum into buying more. Meanwhile, I still retain my DCA approach at this present time. And am wondering if it could dip more so that I can buy more SATS with less FIAT.

Bitcoin price fluctuates constantly, so people have different opinions on it. But if an investor learns about Bitcoin and decides to hold it, it can certainly be the right decision. Investors must keep their greed to a level in investing. When the Bitcoin price drops or goes to a bearish level, looking for more dips can sometimes be unwise because the Bitcoin price can go higher again at any tiYme. Then he will lose his purchasing power. The investor should invest there keeping within a certain limit. If one buys Bitcoin and holds it for a long period of time then one can definitely make profit there. No matter what the Bitcoin price is, if someone does DCA then they can definitely buy more Bitcoins.
You're right here! When an investor fails to control their greed, they will end up missing out on either buying as the price dips because they are waiting for it to dip more or in the case of selling, they might end up not selling and taking their profit because they are waiting for the price to go up more.

Group E proving to be a group of surprises, first it was Belgium falling at the hands of Slovakia, and now if they keep their lead against Ukraine the bookies favourite this means qualification is secured and it's up to Romania or Belgium to fight for the remaining place which I believe team Lukaku will deliver because this would be embarassing for a top team like them to be left out.... though Romania might have the advantage thanks to that superior goal difference!!!
Actually Belgium could come through as best losers if they win their last two games, because  I don't see Romania staying behind Roll Eyes
To be honest I am impressed with Ukraine. The team is playing wonderfully well. At the start of the game when the first goal came from Slovakia I thought it would be difficult for Ukraine to equalize and talk more of winning the game. However, it came as a surprise when I came back to check the score line and Ukraine was already on top.

By the look of things, Ukraine will likely qualify for the next round, because it will be a tough one for Belgium while Romania will not stop either. If Belgium fails to win the next game, they are certain to be kicked out of the competition.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 21, 2024, 12:45:55 PM
I don't fully agree with this because we know that Chelsea is the team that has spent the most money and brought in star players in the last few seasons but in reality they failed to compete at the top of the standings, Chelsea clearly lived up to the fans' expectations but unfortunately the coach was unable to provide the best game for the club. Manchester City stands on a different side when they have great players and a genius coach they dominate the Premier League for years.
They are indeed a team that allocates a lot of money to bring in players, but what they do is a waste of money because the players they bring in ultimately do not contribute to improving Chelsea's game or performance. I don't know what was wrong with what they did, whether this was because they appointed players in a hurry or they only looked at the names of the players without looking at their overall performance which ultimately resulted in the players they brought in not making a contribution and I could even say that it was failed transfer.

It's a shame when they spend a lot of money but it doesn't have a positive impact and in fact it tends to decline in performance, so the players they bring in are completely useless. I hope that in the future they can be more careful in bringing in players, because what they are betting on is their performance and also the money they spend will be wasted.
Let us not use these few seasons of Chleasea's misconduct to paint the club black. It has not always been like this for them. It is just these recent times that they are facing serious difficulties in players and i know it won't last for a long time. I won't forget that they are still champions and since they have appointed a new coach to the team they will surely concur with the pattern of the new coach and work with him properly to see that the glory is brought back. With Cole Palmer and other players am sure Chelsea will not be terrible as they were last season.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Avoid Miscalculated Risks In Gambling. on: June 21, 2024, 12:35:32 PM
Then I wonder why some people would bet heavily on odds above 5 points, some would even risk all their profits to make more profits. The aim of one who wants to be successful in gambling shouldn't be to waste money in the name of taking risks, it's avoiding numerous loses and spending wisely even if you want to take risks it should be calculated risks not risking all your profits to make more profits.
I would say it is our choice to know what's good and what's bad, what will affect us and what will not. There is a risks that we can take that will have only a little impact on us and there are some risks we would take that will affect us massively that it will be difficult for us to recover.

I think when gambling we should know the limit of risk we should take. I don't see anything wrong in taking risks, but our risk should have a maximum limit. Such that we won't put ourselves in situations that will be difficult to scale through. Going all in with our profit might lead to one using the remaining capital to gamble thinking he would win back the profit.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 21, 2024, 12:19:25 PM
Spain was lucky to win today's game. Even if Italy mistakenly scored an own goal. A win is a win and they have secured today's point in the group stage. I think this is the most interesting game I watched today because when I was watching England match it was terrible to watch. I wonder if the coach wants them to qualify. This is because I don't see any reason why good players who can deliver the ball on the pitch will be kept on the bench for a complete 90 minutes without getting to play in the tournament. Players like Cole Palmer and other good England platers.
Lucky? No, Spain deserve to win this match because they dominated it and created more chances than Italy. In results, Italy did better than Croatia with less conceded goals but Croatia created more opportunities against Spain than Italy did.

Italy lost control in the match in ball possession and they did not create opportunities to find an equalize goal against Spain. It is different than their match in Euro 2020 and Italy now can say, are weaker than themselves 3 years ago. With this defeat, Croatia and Italy will have to beat each other in the last match to be sure they will be eligible for a next stage of Euro 2024 especially Croatia.
I still insist they were lucky. The game would have ended in a draw with them sharing the points. I consider it lucky because they have had several attempts to score a goal yet to no avail. Italy was happy that in the first half, there was no goal at all. In the second half, they brought in one or more defenders to strengthen the defense, if it isn't part of the luck of football that the Italian player has to score an own goal there wouldn't be any goal yesterday.

Yes, comparing the Euro 2020 and Euro 2o24 there is a lot of difference in how Italy plays. It is obvious that they have different players now playing in the team, so we won't expect their performance to be similar. If they fail to win Croatia then they get eliminated. After all, there must be a loser to have a winner. It is in their hand to choose which they want to be.

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the bullrun??? on: June 20, 2024, 05:11:50 PM
I have to confess that I don't understand too much about criptos, but during an important time I have studied about reading charts and I can't see a reason for believe that BTC will explode in short-term. I would like to know: What makes you think that will happen a bull run now? It is  a true need to learn about it.
The only thing that makes me believe Bitcoin will explode again is because Bitcoin's history always makes an explosion after the Halving. I'm also not very good at reading charts, but my trust in Bitcoin has removed any doubts about its long-term potential. If you are looking for or waiting for Bullrun to arrive, you need to make preparations before his arrival. Do it now, not later, because no one can predict when that moment will come. Always take advantage of every opportunity you have to welcome the arrival of the Bullrun by collecting Bitcoin consistently.
Bitcoin always repeats the previous cycle after halving and has reached a new ATH several times, which means we have confidence in the current cycle where the price of bitcoin will return high even though the current ATH is still too early at $73K, but many people predict more than $100K when bullish comes then now is still not the time but your opportunity is never missed, yeah we don't know when the price of bitcoin will rise but believe many people the price will return high.
Because the ATH after the halving this year took place came so early that is the reason why so many speculators believe that there will be another ATH before the year's end. And also, they believed that the previous bull run was just a tip of what is to come. At first, there was assurance that the end of the bull run would keep the price of Bitcoin at 100k so when it stopped at 73k or 74k there were about. It's now certain to them that it's not yet over and that the 100k speculation is still possible.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Out of prides, investors endangers themselves. on: June 20, 2024, 05:04:49 PM
When I hear things like this, I feel sorry for people who decide to share the good that has happened to them with everyone without having any little restraint. Bitcoin transactions are meant to be anonymous and so other natures both investment and otherwise. We are supposed to keep our investment personal to us until we have reached our targeted goal. I have heard stories of people getting frauded because they shared information online or orally. Even our businesses and the things we plan to accomplish, it will be of higher risk if we tell people everything that is going on in our lives. People shouldn't know much about you and most importantly anything that has to do with your investment, business, and how you make your wealth in general. They can only be aware that you're not this but how you run it, and what you make from it should be kept to yourselves.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some bad uses of bitcoin. :'( on: June 20, 2024, 04:42:57 PM
It all started as a whisper until those who are involved in this criminal abuse of Bitcoin increased more and more which made me a great concern. Of a truth you're right and it saddens me that such technology that was meant to help is now part of what they are using to harm others.

But it is important to remember the importance of it too. Bitcoin transactions, while not completely anonymous, can be traceable on a public ledger. Bitcoin is like a flip coin just like any other technology, the good people use it for its purposes while on the other side the bad use it for theft, fraud, and other wrong purposes. However, there have been regulations and enforcement developed to address misuse, but ultimately how we use it matters the most. If everyone can just use it for the right things there won't be any problem at all.

18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: June 20, 2024, 12:20:23 PM
The price of bitcoin shouldn't be the issue, but taking the opportunity that bitcoin is at this current price of 65k to buy more Bitcoin into our bags should be our focus because increasing our portfolio will be better off now than when the price reaches $100k.

I know that bitcoin price will reach $100k but no one can predict the actual time and as long as you are not planning to sell but to hodli for a long period of time it is good to DCA regularly in other to increase your bitcoin stash at various price levels.

with the look of how the price has been doing for sometime now their is a higher chance that the price will hit $100k anytime soon,
I have come to realize that this analysis is wrong. Convince me otherwise. However, I used to be part of those preaching that it will be 100k anytime soon. But I was looking at the price and the movement it has been making. Bitcoin will not reach 100k soon but reaching 100k before or by the end of the year is somehow possible. I think the more we truly believe, the less we tend to think when the price will reach 100k either sooner or later. The more time we spend in Bitcoin the more we get to understand that time doesn't really matter but duration of investment and anticipation is better than watching the time all day.

What is your opinion of what is happening in the Super Eagles with Osimhen, Finidi and NFF. And from what I read today NFF said, what Osimhen did was not automatically bad because Finidi started the drama. And from my own point of view I don't really care what happened between them and all I wanted was Super Eagles to qualify the 2026 World Cup. So for Finidi to blame Osimhen foe his downfall is a very big shame.
In my own opinion i think both of them has different reasons in this situation. Osimehn feels that he is not qualified to coach him and seeing Findi's  planning and direction does not seem to be one that can yield positive result in the team. On the other hand Findi feels that the presence of Osimehn in the Super Eagles will give the team more strength and boost the agility of other team member. Meanwhile for him to be absence means that they may not qualify.

In this situation, i am not in support of anyone, i believe that they are matured to understand that this is a professional football career we are talking about here. And that they should leave every argument and grudges aside and focus on the goal ahead to qualify to the World cup. Because i won't be happy if they do not qualify with the way they are going about these days.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling winnings should NOT be taxed on: June 19, 2024, 06:44:31 PM
I agree with you here. Local casinos and online casinos should be taxed and not the gamblers. I don't see any reason why someone will bet with a small amount of money and still get taxed from the little winning. However, the government has been the one taxing local casinos and online casinos so that is why they see it necessary to tax the gamblers whenever they gamble.

Does your country tax gambling winnings and if so do you declare it yourself or does the gambling operator withhold the taxes on your behalf?
I've heard about such countries who place taxes on gambling, which I think is totally illogical as gambling isn't a job but a means of having fun. What should be takes in the whole gambling scene are the casinos, since they literally represent the whole gambling body and every user. In my country, we literally don't pay any tax for gambling. Gambling shouldn't be taxed on any country as it's a game of luck which requires skill and experience. Should we be taxed on having skills to gaming or predictions? Just like telling me that when I bet on sport I will have to pay a percentage of it to the government for winning.what of the time when I loses.
Whether fun or not for profit. It shouldn't be taxed, because it has to do with risk. Imagine a situation where they tax people for investing online or in a different asset no one would want to go into investment.
