Coin is dead, and the dev doesn't seems to care :/

Hello guys!, i would like to announce that i'm coding a qt client replacement only for FedoraCoin using Java. Already send the request to the owner of this coin. This will make FedoreCoin more unique than others alternative coins. The client will support more platforms (Android for example), will contain more features and the code will be cleaner to allow easy bug fix.

Transactions can have more than one party. This is standard among all crypto currencies. I know that, but if you see i'm the only one on that transaction, and if you go to my address, those 185 were actually taken from me .

I just cashed out 1182103 (mining for about 6 hours) from tips.hgn.me... didn't get 5x amount (latest Qt). Switched miners to http://fedora.coin-pool.org/. Mined 112k in under 20 minutes... I smell some sort of bullshit here. What's going on with hgn.me? I believe tips.hgn.me isn't updated to the lastest version (The fix commit). 1.1 in 6hs, how many kh/s? Sure... but I was sent 1.1m, and received 1.1m in my wallet. People have confirmed receiving 5x the displayed amount in the Qt client itself. Yeap happens to me, but that because i didn't have the client updated to display them correctly, and the pool had it so it sends me the correct amount. But when the pool doesn't have the updated client, it won't send you x5 even if you have the updated client. You will have to wait until the pool fix it.

Yes, happend all day with most pools, just switch pool then come back when works properly.

Just found out that even if you cashed before updates, updating QtClient will fix it. Check your address at http://fedorachain.info/, should display your Tips correctly

Those are good for personal bio website. While DigitalOcean and Linode are probably the most advanced and hottest (as in 100% SSD) Hosters on earth right now, they are located in the U.S. - Fear of getting shut down is huge there if you are a BitCoin startup. Iceland however, host of Wikileaks and a country where the Pirate Party has recently been an elected member of the ruling Government, is a much more intelligent choice for BFX. However the government changed recently and is not so progressive anymore. If I might suggest these Germany-based hosters, who are extremely reliable (99,9% uptime) and spoke themselves out publicly for hosting Wikileaks Mirrors with them is welcome. (They have not said anything about BitCoin, so this is why I keep bringing WL up as an measurement of political progressivism) www.df.euwww.hetzner.de.. probably many more. Oh yeah i forgot that they can't operate on US land ^^. Those germany-based hosters sound very sexy.

TL;DR
This is the last straw for me and BitFinex.
After this I move everything out.
This was posted on IRC and I thought I'd add it to this thread.
*******
I am guessing it's DDoS , because it says "too heavy load".
I am guessing Bitfinex is lying about what's happened here.
i think it could be someone trying to manipulate the market again , like in march / april
with mtgox - same thing happened
t would be nice to hear from someone , to know what's happening
somebody ran the price up from 1000 - 1020
then , started DDoS on bitfinex
because its probably the easiest exchange to DDoS
then , dumped a hella lot of coins
what happens next ? we wait to see
*******
Bottom line: I think BitFinex are lying about problems in Iceland.
Worst of all there is not even an update on their situation.
This is the last straw for me.
After this I am moving everything to MtGox.
OrangeWebsite.com Dear Customer, At midnight (24 hours) the local time (GMT) an emergency maintenance is planned affecting customers relying our hosting networks. Best greetings, Network & Security Department OrangeWebsite.com If you don't believe us, you can check it out by yourself.... Giancarlo Bitfinex Team Seriously, OrangeWebsite?, come on guys, hire something better.. any suggestion smart ass? http://www.digitalocean.comhttp://www.hostgator.com/

We all got open positions at BFX which instantly could financially ruin us once this Icelandic "Quality" Provider is coming back on. I am talking of not being able to pay rent or buy food. This event for sure is a reputation ruiner for BFX.
BFX Should freeze all those open position until the market is stable.

bfx down.
just an unexpected maintenance downtime from our service provider in Iceland. Normal operations shall resume in a few minutes. Thank you for your understanding Giancarlo Bitfinex Team Few minutes? more like few hours
