3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electroneum! on: February 04, 2018, 06:15:29 AM
I have no affiliations, in fact I'm pretty new to all this.. but I've done a lot of research on Electroneum and it has a great team, and you are able to mine using your smart phone... It seems like an amazing thing to invest in... I am going all in on this one...

Good vibes from this one for a nice return ! $

Anyone agree? Disagree?

John Titor  Wink

Don't be stupid enough to go all in on this coin. I do agree it as a great team but its only good at marketing. You are not going to mine any coins on your phone. Basically its just running a mining simulation and will reward you with already premised coins. This is to bring awareness on what mining actually is. Which is also great. But I am pretty sure it will reward in pennies.

The launch was all bonkers as I had invested in the ICO. The team didn't even realise the security threats on their website until the last minute. Also the iOS wallet was promised at the year end of 2017, but still not launched. How can you expect this to be any good?
4  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus wallet on: February 03, 2018, 09:28:09 PM
Hello. Has anyone any experience of this wallet? Looking to hold bitcoin in it. Up to now I have held in exchanges but want to hold in my own wallet.

It is a good wallet with a great UI. No doubt about it. But if you are going to store a large amount of BTC for long term then I wouldn't suggest it. Since Exodus is closed source there is no way to ensure if some malicious software is injected in the code. The chances might be slim. But why take the risk? Secondly, exposing your private keys in an everyday desktop environment is not a good idea.

If you want to be safe then I would go for a hardware wallet or paper wallet. Move majority of your coins in there and leave a few coins for spending on exodus or any other mobile wallet.

5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump and dump group for your trading. on: February 03, 2018, 09:02:59 PM
Being an insider of a PnD group means you will get the signal for selling the coins a few seconds earlier than the other members. My advice would be to avoid it at any cost. It is too good to be true. Generally outside members of the group are used in the pump process as bait. And once the price of the coin reaches a certain peak and creators of the group and the insider members mass sell the coin and inform the rest of the members a few seconds later. By then you will have missed the train and doomed with some Shitcoin which was already dead.

Please read the info from the above link to get an insight on how these scams work.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question To increase our knowledge of bitcoin and how to become bitcoin treaders on: February 03, 2018, 08:52:07 PM
If you are not good at TA, simply just HODL.

Don't TA plays an important role in economics, You don't really need TA to be a trader in Crypto. Everyday people post hundreds of TA charts saying Bitcoin will increase 50K or come down to 5K. Everything is just a speculation. Finally markets will play its own game.

To OP, You can give Bitcoin trading a start by using demo trading feature in most of the changes before putting in real money. Grasp the basics, Buy low-sell high and repeat. Now how to choose coins to trade depends on your knowledge about those coins and how they are performing currently. You can check this forum or reddit or youtube to get some insights. Make a list of promising coins and start with them. Don't put all your money and then whine about losing it. Trading is an art and not everyone is an artist. Try to become one.
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Debit Card on: February 03, 2018, 08:10:27 PM
Hi,
After Visa/Mastercard decision is it still possible to have a Crypto debit card ? if yes can you please advise which one to use!
Thanks

Most Crypto cards were banned because of the issuer Wave Crest Holdings since they broke certain rules which I am not aware. So don't be under the impression that Crypto cards will work forever. They might take down any issuer anytime. Over that the conversion fees and limits don't seem to cut it. Now to answer your question, Monaco debit cards are currently not banned and should work fine globally wherever VISA is accepted. Though I haven't personally tried them, they seen to have good reviews.

The more members we are, the more money we will earn. So promote the group!

'We' is basically the people who have created the group. I see you have mentioned sell price. So basically everyone buys and pump the price. So at one point you will surely dump the coins right? what about the people you bought at the ATH price joining your group? How does it make any difference from the generic PnD group?
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitGrail - Withdraw is not allowed anymore for my Country. What now? on: February 03, 2018, 10:13:09 AM
Thank you for the update! Let's see how long they will take to verify my account now.

Great then! But let this be a lesson and stop keeping your coins on exchanges! I feel bad but this is exactly why they always tell you to immediately remove stuff from the exchange unless you're ok with losing it. And you can't say you didn't have time. I had some XRB I purchased on BitGrail and I knew from the get go it was a shit-tier exchange and removed it as quickly as I could and transferred to the rai wallet. And now that XRB/ Nano is on Binance I don't think anyone will ever go to Bitgrail.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the blood bath - my opinion. on: February 02, 2018, 10:11:40 AM
Every dip someone comes up with some unrelated predictions to explain the market. Why don't people predict this before the dip happening? These predictions are being made from the point BTC fell to $14K from $17K, $14K to $11K, and now $11K to $8K. Its started with the CMC price confusion, Korean FUD, Lunar year, Wallstreet manipulation and now Indian FUD. Many people also say that this is the correction Bitcoin needed, which is very healthy.

I have Just gotten used to the fact that the market is always irrational and unpredictable. Nobody can time the market and it will always do the opposite you expect. It can dump with good news, and moon with bad news. This is just a random dump, we have had many before and we will have many in the future. Just Hodl Away!!
11  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Legal Status in India Explained! on: February 02, 2018, 07:04:18 AM
Arun Jaitley our very own finance minister today said in budget that Bitcoin will not be allowed to be a legal tender.

The guy who told cash crunch would be over within 5 days of demonetization. I wouldn't trust him a bit.

Many shops where I live use eclairs as legal tender for small change Cheesy

I hope I have contributed a bit in removing the FUD.

You have. But the FUD will be going on until the government sets clear rules for the exchanges to work on. Recently Banks have started to part ways with many Crypto exchanges making it harder for people to withdraw the money. Its clear RBI won't ever allow decentralized currency in any form. They are not clearing their stand whether trading in bitcoin is legal or illegal. Wish something like South Korea would have happened in India.
12  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-01] India Signals Crackdown on Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency Usage on: February 01, 2018, 12:16:47 PM
A lot of FUD is being spread by Indian media again. In fact India’s finance minister Arun Jaitley said:

"The Government does not consider cryptocurrencies as legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these cryptoassets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payments system."

which basically means Crypto cant be used to buy and sell goods or services. But it should be okay trade. Its never mentioned as illegal of any sort.

So basically Bitcoin might be treated as a commodity/ asset for filing tax. As long as the taxes are paid, the Government is happy.

Kodak postpones the launch of KodakCoin
"phase of verification of accredited investors."

If I am not wrong I read people need 50K in order to invest. WTH! Who wants to invest in a company thats been dying? Seems like this is the last resort for them to revive it. Also I would never drop that much on a company that failed to see the digital camera as the next evolution in photography.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RaiBlocks Rebrand to Nano? on: February 01, 2018, 06:36:33 AM
Have heard that Raiblocks is potentially going to rebrand to Nano.

https://nanorai.com/

Colin LeMahieu has said we can expect some big news soon, and this could be it.

If true, it will help to even further Raiblocks price and adoption.

All speculation so far, but thats exactly what this part of the forum is for!

I've been filling my bags with Rai during the dip, hopeful this speculation turns into fact.

Thoughts?

Yes its finally rebranded to Nano. It was expected given a lot of clues were circulating around. Nano and Nanopay has a good ring to it. This also explains why the Binance listing is delayed so far. Once is comes to Binance expect it to go a lot lot higher. So anyone wants to get into this hype train now is the right time.

For people who are unaware of Raiblocks/ Nano, its basically what Bitcoin should have been. Nano enables quick, Fee-less, scalable micro transactions. Its works on the concept of Block Lattice. Though the coin is still in development, the dev team is highly active and interactive with its community. At the end it all comes down to adoption rate. And hope that happens in 2018.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Finished shopping-please rate my porfolio on: January 31, 2018, 12:32:39 PM
if a 2x-5x is your target I dont think IOTA is your go to coin for the time being.

Agreed. But only if you are holding for no less than 6-12 months. But in a year or two IOTA it is most likely to make it to the top 5 or 3. The future is very bright with IOTA and the Tangle technology. And the recent partnerships with big companies like Bosch makes me shill it more.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/6gkclk/a_typical_use_case_for_iota/
Read this a few months back. Should answer some definite questions.

no eth, no neo, no btc

Yes. A balanced portfolio requires at least ETH or BTC as 25-30%.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Finished shopping-please rate my porfolio on: January 31, 2018, 10:52:00 AM
Did you shop in some Thrift shop? Lot of shitcoins in there. Please do a proper research and check the whitepaper/ Roadmap before investing for a long term holding. Don't go by whats trending in the market but by the real world use case and the working product. Cardano is one such example where it shows markets are crazy. Its doesn't even have a working product and its currently in the top ten is absolutely ridiculous.

If I were you I would go for NEO, ICX, IOTA, XRB, PRL and the list goes on and on. At the end, the coins with a proper use case will be the one sustained.
17  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-30] Over 1 Million People for Early Access to Robinhood’s trading app on: January 31, 2018, 10:10:37 AM
Really a forward and a game changing move from the Robinhood. More users who have been skeptical about Crypto trading will surely try it now as there is no need to be to some shady exchanges. This means more money coming into the Cryptoland. Hope this has gives a bull run and a huge step for Bitcoin to become mainstream.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading noob want to learn on: January 31, 2018, 09:25:44 AM
As I was in a same situation like you a few months back I can tell that you will have to make up your own strategies once you learn the basics of trading. Youtube and this forum are a good source to learn some basic concepts like placing limit orders, Other types of orders to minimize loses. Off the hook, try demo trading as many exchanges have this feature. Make a list of promising coins and keep an eye on them.

Start with a small amount. Buy Low- Sell High- Rinse Repeat.

As you progress you will learn how to make quick decisions. You also need to be mentally strong to avoid yourself from panic selling. Make sure not to buy at an all time high price. You will need to resist this urge or FOMO as it is called in Crypto Lingo.

Good Luck and Happy trading!
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading or Online betting? 2k Usd budget. on: January 31, 2018, 05:46:53 AM
Newbee here. Please guide me.

Which is more profitable in the long run, Crypto trading or online betting ?

Trading anyday. You might get lucky once or twice if you bet online. But there is way more probability of losing your money and getting addicted and losing more. Its a risky gamble.

Since you mentioned 2K budget you can split into 1K for Holding and 1K for trading. Invest some money in promising ICO's. This is sure to get you some nice profits. And now is a good time since the prices are low. Like mentioned above Hodl some good Alts like NEO, XRB, ARK, ICX etc etc. Do your own research.

Also while trading don't simply put your money in some shitcoins. Make yourself thorough with some Alts and be updated with the current news so you know which coins are sure to go up.

FYI: You might have to move this topic to trading discussion.
20  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] x2 Ripple Wallet from Gatehub.net on: January 30, 2018, 11:34:30 AM
Aren't them tradable? Why aren't you trade with augur then move?

The above wallets OP is selling is worthless. Means its as good as an empty wallet. Most ripple wallets need to have 20 XRP has a reserve in order to activate it. This is enforced by Ripple itself in order to maintain ledger size and reduce spam. And the same goes for Gatehub wallets. If you go back a few months when XRP was 20 Cents, this didn't make much difference. But now it does (~$30)

If you are buying the above wallets, then you will have to wait for Ripple to reduce the reserve amount in the near future. Again, you can only hope that it happens.

Sorry for hijacking your thread OP. But this needs to be addressed so people know what they are buying.
