I created a pull request for MetaMask: https://github.com/MetaMask/eth-phishing-detect/pull/3404

The MetaMask extension should block the website if they accept the request.

Another approach is to search for plagiarism, especially from jr. members and higher.

Most of them are lazy and copy/paste from various sources.

I reported this one for example: (banned)

A two-factor authentication function is an additional resource that allows you to receive additional protection of access to your account, even if someone knows your password. When you log in to your account, you will be offered to enter two pieces of information: your password and a 6-digit authentication code. A new authentication code is generated every 30 seconds by an authentication application. We strongly recommend all our users to enable this security feature to prevent any potential unauthorized access to your accounts.

Positive side effect: with the recent changes, newbies have no bumping power at all. (Bumping changes on some boards)
With reporting them for plagiarism you're drying out their accounts with merit, who have some bumping power.

It would be slightly more believable if you hadn't removed the btc addresses from your alts' profile pages after the accusations against you:

If you know the email address you've used to register the account then you could try a password reset: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=reminder

Could be related: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet.

If I have found a wallet with 30 addresses and I have the proof that the owner of the wallet cheated with 10 or more accounts, do you will tag all accounts on the wallet?

My investigation is ongoing but this person has around 30 accounts on the same wallet, maybe a lot more looking on the merit suspicious history.

Basically, he used the low ranked accounts to abuse this survey from @hampuz https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5050824.0

And skipped it with the good accounts.

Interesting, he sent this 1 merit from his alt "damniatx" (bpip)
almost exactly one year ago: "9/18/2018 4:34:00 PM" https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?from=damniatx&to=fromkrec

But it shows it as if the other user damniatx_ sent it.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet got hacked on: September 17, 2019, 09:24:21 AM
Most reaction was that people think my friend stole it. I dont really wanna believe that because it wouldn't make sense to me.

IMO this is what probably happened, your friend ran with the money.

According to your story
- your friend informed you first that the coins were transfered
- your friend was the only one with access to the private key
- the trezor was connected to his laptop

The other possibility ist that your friend used a MEW phishing site, not the original one.

The safest way to use MyEtherWallet is to use it through the trezor interface or use the offline version from github: https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet

Last year there was DNS poisoning attack targeting Trezor users: https://blog.trezor.io/psa-phishing-alert-fake-trezor-wallet-website-3bcfdfc3eced
But I don't think that's what happened to you.

Why didn't you use a multisig wallet / multisig contract?

After some digging I'm certainly sure that this account: bubbalex is an alt account of yours.

You're admitting in this post to Lauda that these two ETH addresses are yours:

As LoyceV mentioned, you can "build" a custom patrol page, Crypto-DesignService made a guide for it: Patrol custom URL guideline + list of active Forum boards

My custom patrol page is this (no local boards, no bounty section):

The question is, where to draw the line.

Someone could argue why to ban the 5 post newbie over plagiarism, because he could be potentially useful to the forum in the future.

I compare the forum rules to like an agreement of a contract - when  I sign a contract, I also must adhere the contract terms, otherwise I have to deal with the consequences.

It doesn't matter whether I've read the agreement / forum rules or not.

12  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: September 04, 2019, 01:59:09 PM
I can't figure it out. Have you checked this other post of the same user?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5119202.msg50110554#msg50110554

Could he be placing random parts of sentences and spinning the words to avoid detection?
That's what I thought, and possibly in combination with automated translations.

Its translated from thai:

2. Averaging down (Dollar Cost Average)
DCA (dollar-cost averaging) investment is the average cost investment. Where we will schedule crypto purchases in installments, such as investing 5000 baht to buy bitcoin every month, regardless of how much the bitcoin price we are buying at that time This type of investment Will be able to remove the emotions
The DCA method will allow us to buy larger cryptocurrencies when prices fall. And will buy less when the price rises The advantage of doing DCA is that during the downtrend market The chance of loss is less when compared to buying a large amount at one time. But during the market uptrend This method will return the average value. Or at least equal to the market return Regardless of the market conditions We can overcome the market.
In addition to helping reduce the risk Also helps to reduce stress

2. Averaging down (Dollar Cost Average)

If someone broke rules 5 minutes ago or 5 years ago shouldn't matter, altough I agree that reporting 5 year old spamposts doesn't make sense.
~~~
I have seen users were punished because of a sin they have done 3+ years ago. I think it was plagiarism.
~~~

Plagiarism is not a sin, nor a little mistake, it is simply against forum rules.

  • Plagiarism: If you copy some text from somewhere, then you should have a good reason for it, and you must link to the source. Doing otherwise is plagiarism. Changing a few words around doesn't matter. If we find that you plagiarized, then you absolutely will be permanently banned, even if we find it years after you did it.

I didn't mean this.
Posts are easily sorted by the date of last post created on threads. I meant sorting the threads by the date the date they started( the date of OP)

Try this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0;sort=first_post;desc
