@jossiel - yes, it's not only the Warriors that are actively pursuing Lauren, but if you look at it, perhaps this is a one chance opportunity for him to be on a contender team that can win a ring for him.
Yeah, he should take that deal regardless if he wants to have some change although he's currently in a good team he needs more firepower from his teammates.

Just in, Franz Wagner agrees to a 5-year $224M deal rookie extension. He's so close to the salary of other stars.  Shocked

Sources: Magic, Franz Wagner agree on $224M rookie extension

He deserves this kind of huge salary as he is the second man on the team after Banchero. As for Banchero, he will only become a free agent in 2027. He might get a bigger contract then, probably again the biggest in history. I see this as similar to the Celtics' situation where Brown signed a huge contract, and after that, when Tatum's contract expired, he also signed a whopping $313,933,410 for five years. I hope Banchero will be able to keep himself healthy, as that's all he needs to secure a max extension with the Magic.

So it will be Gilas vs Brazil in the semi finals, the game will be tomorrow at 8:30 pm. This is good because that will give Gilas a time to rest, and of course, we will continue to support the Gilas to win this game. As to the FIBA ranking, https://www.fiba.basketball/rankingmen...

Brazil is currently at 12, so it should not be a problem with Gilas because they beat the number 6 which is Latvia. The problem I see here is they might not be able to play Sotto due to the injury he suffered against Georgia, but let's wait on the development of that but I heard in the news that he was hospitalized.

We will certainly miss his service but we proved that we are still a strong team as we almost beat Georgia.

Let's discuss the betting odds. https://www.oddschecker.com/olympics/basketball/olympic-basketball-mens/philippines-at-brazil/winner

Philippines is a heavy underdog, currently at x4. I think it would be interesting to know what you guys think about this. Would you still be confident on betting on the Philippines knowing Kai Sotto might not be able to play?

Of course I'll take that odds even if Kai Sotto will not be available. This is the semi finals, a very important game for Gilas, so it's just right to back them to win. And about being underdog, we were never a favorite in the last 2 games,  and yet we were able to compete and even surprise Latvia on the first game.  But wait a minute, we have some good news about the status of Kai.

Following a battery of tests, a source told me "x-rays and ultrasound taken on the ribs of Kai Sotto all turned out negative."

it's negative, so there's a chance that he'll be able to play, maybe some pain reliever, that would already make him available tomorrow.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How tough is futures in comparison to spot trading on: July 04, 2024, 10:55:07 PM
As a newbie trader, I would advice you to stick to spot trading because it's mostly buying and selling, in other words, you buy low and sell high, but the future market is more difficult because you predict the movement of the market, if it goes your way, you make money and if it goes against you you lose money.
Good advice to a newbie trader. I would also suggest him/her to do trading at spot market instead of moving to futures marketing.

In spot trading a newbie won't lose his/her initial capital while in futures marketing any wrong trade with leverage could liquidate that trader's capital.

I've been into trading for many years but I still try my best to avoid futures market because it's quite risky and one can lose money instead of making money as a trader.

I would consider futures market as a gamblers haven while spot market as a traders haven. Because in simple words futures market is similar to gambling while spot market in more like traditional trading.
Well said mate. There's more of risks for futures market most especially if you are just here trying your luck and rush into trading without much knowledge and experience in the market. So I hope instead of trying to increase the risk and chances of losing, why not go for a more secured trading outcome and if ever you lose, at least you won't be losing a huge amount. Stick to spot trading for now, but never put a limit for it and still continue to learn the process of futures trading.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the most reliable way of earning Bitcoin on: July 04, 2024, 09:57:13 PM
Having your stable income or job and buying Bitcoin through that.

That's the most reliable way of earning Bitcoin because you have a stable income and that's what you will use for accumulation. Most of the people is that's what they do.

But if you want to get Bitcoin by not doing that, there are other ways like offering your service and get paid in Bitcoin.
Obviously, you need a sustainable income to finance your investments every now and then. That is if you want your investment to keep going and gain success after years of holding. Buying and hodling could be the easiest and less risky form of earning bitcoin, but it could only be possible if you have a stable source of income so you can afford accumulating Bitcoin whenever you wanted to.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin and not any Altcoin? on: July 04, 2024, 09:38:32 PM
Bitcoin is expensive. So that the reson invest in bitcoin. Other altcoin is not easy to increase the price. It tack time for price increase. But bitcoin will be increase the price any time.
Surely Bitcoin is expensive but that isn't the reason why people invest in Bitcoin. People invest in Bitcoin because they trust Bitcoin and they believe that Bitcoin will gain value in future when big institutions start adopting it and investing in it. Not only big institutions but some countries also accept Bitcoin as legal tender and that's why people prefer it over other altcoins.

I disagree with you that other altcoins can't easily increase in price in fact if we dip deeper then we can see that other altcoins can increase in value way higher than Bitcoin but as we all know that Bitcoin is the king of the market and without it other altcoins may not be able to perform well. However, when Bitcoin performs good then other altcoins perform 2x to 10x better than it when it comes to increase in value.
You are right. People invest in bitcoin not because of its high potentials to keep its price rising but also because bitcoin has more real advantages than any other altcoins in the market. Aside that it can be a good currency and use it conveniently, it can also be a good retirement in the future knowing the fact that it's highly more profitable and reliable than any crypto coin or altcoins in the market. Bitcoin is for long term investment, the longer you hold it, the higher its profits will be once you decide to sell it for good.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "Scatter" word getting more popular on: July 04, 2024, 11:45:12 AM
~snip~

The growth of the gambling industry is definitely fast but is it going the right way?

It cannot be stopped unless it's banned. And kids playing these kinds of gambling games are a result of irresponsible parenting, so we cannot blame the gambling industry for this. As parents or guardians, we have to be aware of our responsibility, as there is a right age for gambling. We should not let them see what we are doing, and kids also wouldn't be able to gamble if they don't have the money. So let's not give them the means to gamble.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 04, 2024, 11:03:40 AM
Congratulations again to our team and with this win, it ended the 64-year losing streak against European teams, and we already have a high chance of entering the semi-finals of OQT.

Wow, this is history and what a time to break that losing streak with Brownlee leading the squad. Fajardo and Sotto were milking the defense of the Latvian downlow as they were having a hard time defending the Gilas bigs. With this win, the Philippines is on the map again in terms of world basketball and they can't forget the name Brownlee who have done an awesome job in leading the Gilas boys both in Asia and in Europe.

I have put a few dollars for PH +21.5 @1.86 think that even if they lose, the game will be close but they exceeded my expectation hehe.

I didn't expect we will win that easily. What a game by Gilas, it their effort and the good ball movement that made it possible to win against the number 6 in the ranking. JB is just too good and good think Kai really showed up, I hope there were NBA scouts who watched that game, also, for Brownlee, I think he still has a chance to be in the NBA since he is really good, even better than an NBA player.
I'm surprised as well, I think majority of the fans were surprised with the result. Now, I know that Gilas is really capable of not just competing by winning  against any Europian team. I even think that it's possible we will qualify in the Olympics, at least that's the goal first and if we make it, let's discuss our chance of winning the gold.

tonight at 7pm, we will be seeing the Gilas to play with the Georgia, per bookie, we are currently at +6.5, I think I'll still go with the moneyline here.

It's actually 8:30 PM. I checked on the sportsbook and the line had dropped a bit, it's now +5.5 and the total is 158.5.

I'm confident that Gilas will win because Latvia had dominated this team, so we really have a huge chance and I see the line is quite undervalued so I took the moneyline instead.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: July 03, 2024, 11:58:14 PM
I voted for "Yes".

This could be the start of what we are all waiting, maybe it's the seasons of the bulls already, and it's the time that there are going to be huge money in the market. So I'm very positive about this month, perhaps miners might have capitulate already and they have sold to keep their mining business operational.

So it's about time for them though to start accumulating again and so are the average joe and institutions to start buying.
The current price is certainly a good buy, and most probably from here bitcoin price will start to move upward and skyrocket few days after. I'm also optimistic that we will be witnessing bitcoin price surging high this time not only because it's highly capable to, but also bitcoin won't be just moving around $60k all the time, rest assured it will also go out from that price zone and entering $70k or above could be a wise option.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Lessons learned after striving to save money at the age of 30. on: July 03, 2024, 09:57:54 PM
The most important lesson learned after striving to save money at age 30 is understanding balance and not shortchanging oneself! Loving oneself allows for better care of those who matter most.
The best love and care you can give to yourself is by securing your present and future financially, and with that being mentally and emotionally healthy will just follow. No need to put a lot of pressures on trying to balance everything in life because no matter how hard you try, it will definitely be impossible. Just live a simple life, and be happy with what you have.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for your children & future wealth distribution on: July 03, 2024, 09:35:29 PM
Anytime that this conversation comes up , I will.always say, let kids be kids. We should think that they would miss anything by not learning about Bitcoin at a young age. There is more to their life and development than Bitcoin. Therefore I would not agree to anyone forcing Bitcoin knowledge upon them when they should be taking, music lessons, dance classes, football classes. The only Exception is if the kid show repeated interest in knowing about Bitcoin.
My kids are still very young for now so just like you've said, let them enjoy their childhood first and just focus on playing and learning first. There's always a right time for bitcoin, and certainly for now it's never the perfect time to introduce bitcoin to them. But surely in the future, I will because I have also big plans for them continuing my legacy on bitcoin.

My children are my wealth, more than any fiat or bitcoin in the world. Let them be kids first, and when they're mature enough, that's the time to start exposing them to the world  of digital currency, Bitcoin.

And the odds for Latvia vs Philippines is not out.

It's the Philippines x17 to win and +21.5 for the handicap. Total is 160.5 (over/under)
check in this bookie.

So guys, what do you think would be the choise here? I'm sure most of your will be on +21.5, but how about the moneyline odds, does it look attractive to you?

So this game will be in the midnight, hmm.... I guess I'll try to bet on the handicap first, then if I feel they'll win then I will go for the moneyline, I'll just do a live betting on that moneyline bet, it doesn't matter if I'll get a lower odds, x10 would be fine with me. Good luck Gilas, this is a tough game but I always believe that our team is underrated,

Nice strategy, I guess I'll follow it but I have to rest early tonight because this game will be this midnight in our timezone. Hopefully there will be some free facebook live streaming so we will be able to follow it while we are betting. I'm already impressed with how they played veruse Poland, now if KP will not play, then I guess Philippines has a chance of even an upset win.

so let's get this big win and qualify in the Olympics.

I wouldn't expect much but this could happen. And it that will happen, winners of this odds will rejoice.

14  Economy / Economics / Re: Will AI taking people jobs and make the world worse? on: July 02, 2024, 10:59:07 PM
When people really take advantage of AI, then they can make their work easier. This is a very good technology when compared to the work we have. I have seen many times that other people's jobs have become easier by utilizing AI. However, as workers we also need to adapt to this. Some AI may be able to replace other people's jobs, which is why we need to try to adapt to technological developments from time to time.
Well, this is a challenge that we have to go through and we have to win at all costs. Actually, this is not a matter of competition between AI and humans, but it is a competition between fellow humans in increasing their insight and skills in an era of increasingly advanced technology. People who are superior in insight can create AI and make money with that AI. And if we are not able to balance and adapt to all of that, then don't expect us to be able to continue to survive in an industry that we have been in for a long time. because as time goes by we have seen technological developments that are increasingly advancing rapidly. And all industries are starting to utilize every new technology available and AI is one of them. Automated robots are even common now and AI Robots are the next ones that will become common in their time. If other people can use AI to make money then we should be able to do it too.
I believe AI will stay for good, simply because it's part of growing digital technology. Now, we don't have to compete with AI because we're not going to win anyway but use them at our utmost advantage. By adapting AI's ideas and applying them into ourselves and into our respective works, we can always make an impact to our jobs. We don't need to fight against AI and curse those automated robots, but take advantage with their advanced features and improve our working strategies and skills so we can be more productive on our job.
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Someone has stolen my passphrase and bitcoin on: July 02, 2024, 09:56:04 PM
This history sounds a bit not realistic. Hence here private message can be checked by admin and mods... So they can see if you are telling something real or not...
But the real question is: why to give random passphrase to some one? Roll Eyes

It should be 479001600 combinations possible with 12! not easy at all to test all these combinations and verify if these address are loaded...
Of course you can go to your local police and provide proofs of what happens.

You know how valuable your bitcoin stored in your wallet, and you end up trusting another person for your passphrase. You’re completely insane. But just like others have been saying, your post is like fabricated and no one’s gonna fall on that.

However, I’d still answer your question so that it should also raise an awareness for others. Your keys, your coins, and that should never be disclosed to others, regardless if it’s a new found friend or an old, trusted friend. And if ever this happens, go report to the nearest police station. I know they have an idea for that, but I’m not sure if you can still retrieve your bitcoin or just gone by the wind.
Exactly. The story looks fabricated anyway so I don't think OP is actually facing this kind of problem. But regardless of how many percent of bitcoin you've earned in your wallet, giving out your passphrase is always a dumb idea. If you can't be careful and cautious, then you should not be seeing yourself a good investor at all.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Power of Social Trading: Can It Improve Decision-Making for New Traders? on: July 02, 2024, 09:23:55 PM
The concern about following someone blindly when it comes to trading which might lead you to things that might not work for you is a valid concern but as OP stated earlier, it's the professional traders that are sharing their stuff so I'm not keen on leaning too much on that very concern if it's the pros that are giving you the tips on how to read the charts and it probably would only matter when you're reading a different chart but other than that, I don't think that we're ever going to see some kind of difference and I think that the cons is just too low to not consider social trading as a good way to learn how to trade, wouldn't that be the best thing though? People sharing ideas and tricks on how to make money in the market in real time?
Still, this isn't enough reason to trust those pros wholeheartedly just because they are well-experienced traders. Not all that work for them will also work for beginners, so it's a fact that beginners should also study the market as well and even make an in-depth research. Although listening to the suggestions and advices of the pros is never a problem, but at the end of the day, the trader itself should learn to validate those what he hears and should only follow his own final trading decision.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you also panic when bitcoin price falls more than 10-20% in a day ? on: July 01, 2024, 11:57:25 PM
Are you one of those who get panicked when bitcoin price falls by 10-20% in a day ? Or you are no longer affected by such price drops and continue to invest on each dip ? Any suggestions on how to control own feelings in case of such drastic drops in bitcoin price ?
I know how volatile bitcoin is so if there are price drops happening every now and then, I don't see it as an odd but part of its volatility, and never gets panicking because eventually the price changes from time to time. Instead, I just take an edge everytime there is huge price drops and start buying at its dips.

Being emotional most especially if you are seeing your investment is dropping is a normal thing. But going beyond that just to validate what you feel and end up panic selling, that makes it so wrong. Instead, just keep calm and learn to control your emotions, that's the safest way so you won't lose all your future profits because of jumping into conclusion and making wrong decisions when you are highly emotional and inflexible.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 29, 2024, 09:13:34 PM
Rumors going around that LeBron is opting out of his contract and resigning for less money and a longer than expected contract. This will allow the Lakers to use their full MLE to sign a better player to fill out the team. Maybe this was the give back for them drafting Bronny. Sort of funny. They’re basically going to take Bronny’s pay out of LeBron’s check.
LeBron's trying to get that championship one last time, maybe. This could be another historic moment if he and his son win a championship together. LeBron probably doesn't need money now since he has made a lot from his max contracts before, so it's about time for him to cut his contract a bit to make way for more role players that could improve their team. Good luck to him and Bronny; hopefully, this plan will work out.

Edit: Paul George has officially opted out of his contract. Expecting to hear who he’ll be playing for in the next few days…
I guess the rumor might come true that PG will be playing with the Warriors. Hmmm... Smiley
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: June 29, 2024, 12:56:12 PM
It all messed up now for Haney, he is not training anymore for this fight he is busier suing Ryan Garcia and trying to fix his lost reputation and wounded ego, he requested DAZN to remove his fight against Haney which DAZN declined and now he is pushing and requesting YouTube to take out which I doubt will comply.
He doesn't need to get involved with that as he has an upcoming fight to prepare for. He can sue because he has the right, but the longer this issue is talked about by the fans, the more it will only result in decreasing the value of Haney. Worst of all, if he does not seriously train and ends up losing, then there would be no point in what he did to keep his undefeated record by suing Ryan Garcia. This fight will test if he is still mentally tough despite what happened, and for those who believe that Haney was really affected, I think it's worth the risk to bet against him.

I guess he will need Agent J's Laser of Men In Black for people to forget what happened between him and Ryan  Cheesy
It can only happen in the movie but not in real life, people will never forget as it's already written in the books.

He doesn't have any upcoming fight to prepared for, he already requested WBC already that he will not fight and so they declared him as champion in recess and Sandor Martin and Puello will duel it out for the interim belt.

Well, if that is his decision, then we need to respect it as he probably needs more time to recover mentally from his loss to Ryan Garcia. All the talks from Haney's side are about wanting Ryan to suffer for cheating. They already won the legal battle, and it seems they are not satisfied yet, which could only mean the damage is really huge. Before, Ryan was reported to have suffered from a mental problem; I think now it will be Haney's turn.

And as Eddie Hearn said in one interview, it seems that there are two opposing side on Haney right now, those people that really are concern of him and then those who might destroy him and probably advising him to sue Ryan and requested that his losses be removed by social media which we all think is not going to happen.
They have a basis, and I think it could be removed but not completely. So people could still see it if they searched for it because once something is on the internet, it cannot be completely deleted. Good luck with their request; it seems impossible, but who knows. As for me, I would never forget what happened, and I'll tell my grandchildren about it in the future. Cheesy
