I don't understand why someone would use BitWage to get ethereums.
For the same reason you use BitWage -- because they hate filthy fiat and believe in ETH. Because if they get paid in Ether, store their wealth in Ether, and DAO companies accept Ether as a form of payment, that's a closed-loop economy right there

dafuq ETH 132m volume Probably this. They're very colose to having a closed-loop economy now: smart contracts, DAO, getting paid in ETH, etc., etc. @Elwar: You use BitWage, don't you?

The human was vaccinated and he also had bitcoin medicine! ... But the bear even if he could buy medicine, it wasn't adjusted well enough to inflation so he can afford it!
Bear told you "It's OK brah, you can just get vaccinated"? Did Bear also tell you that Bear never felt like this for anyone before? Have fun being anally preggers & raising a litter of halfbreed monstrosities. Who also have herpes.

I think that after chinese pushed the market last week, it's not the turn of western exchange, probably for the "same" reason (not a devaluation though, but weaknesse of the $)
Let me see if I get this: Chinese purportedly bought BTC due to yuan getting devalued rel. USD ($ too damn strong!) now the westerners are gonna buy BTC because $ too damn weak? You must'a been to some expensive universities....

I don't love 'fiat'.
I just recognise that any money that ever existed, required an 'authority' behind it. Even gold and silver only became used as money because people in positions of power desired to own it.
The only purpose of currency is to reduce friction of barter. There is nothing about it that requires a central authority. Only if by "reduce friction of barter" you mean crying hot, slippery tears while opening the bag of poo that I sent you (instead of the laptop you sent me beetcoins for).

... BTC price doesn't depend on the production cost. Market sets the price at which one is willing to purchase BTC not miners at which they're willing to sell BTC. Market couldn't care less how much in electricity it took to produce 1BTC, simple supply and demand, where supply is fixed
the main sellers are miners... If 25 BTC changed hands every 10 minutes, you'd have a point. I believe the value is somewhat greater Edit: Less than 50 BTC, to validate your "main" claim. I guess they still could be "main sellers" if the other sellers add up to < 25 BTC.

Satoshi is the Great Falsifier, takes many a form to deceive the Righteous. The Ancient Ones are but one of his disgusting manifestations, that slimy leach serpent obscures his true hideousness behind many veils of lies!

Not even your Dark Lord Satoshi can save you from His righteous vengeance!

If these were regulated exchanges, shit like this wouldn't happen. That simple.
Every single market in existence works like this, regulated or not. It's normal business in any other asset class too. Not to the same extent, no. Exchanges have access to much more information than the punters, and, without regulations, exchanges would be foolish not to use it. Playing this market is like playing poker against the house, with the house being able to see all (okay, most of) your cards. You can still win, but it's not really poker & the odds are against it.
