1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shops now accept BTC on: May 25, 2024, 09:41:07 AM
It just get to know that some shops now accept BTC as exchange, that is very good Bitcoin is making progress, after some years now Bitcoin will shock the world, with the way things are going now.
Been here since 2016 and started with bitcoin in 2015. I am yet to see a shop in my country with bitcoin acceptance. But indeed it is happening in many other countries we just have to keep running the show till that day happens.

Things have been improving over these 8years, improvements in public approach towards the nature and use of bitcoin. However altcoins have been promoted like anything and already brought in the frowns from the public after they splashed.

Bitcoin has already shocked the world when it started back in 2009. It does not need to shock it again.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Day streaming as gambler experience on: May 25, 2024, 09:24:42 AM
It is good that you are trying to do something to promote a casino and it would help is you have your own niche and develop your own style of streaming. If you are not getting viewers, it is a common thing, you try to promote your streams through your known channels at the moment. Start giving out money and reading out names and comments.

People who come to your stream, always want to be recognized among the crowd, that is how the streaming psychology works. If you appreciate them in public they will be sure to come more often.

Of try to focus on what you are enjoying, if you are only doing this for money, you will not improve.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the limits and common sense of bet? on: May 25, 2024, 09:17:49 AM
These are jokes at best, not done in a serious mode. But if there is a legal binding involved such bets can be made valid and made to stand. However most people are who making such absurd wagers are joking and most of the time they will not go forward with such propositions.

These type of situations need to be avoided by the diligent person, keep your wits to yourself, talk less and dont argue with people who seem unreasonable. Trying to prove yours is bigger than others only leads to bad situations.

7  Local / India / Re: First Bitcoin ETF and now Ethereum ETF approved, what now? on: May 24, 2024, 03:26:17 PM
ETFs always bring in a lot of attention and approval of another ETF will only mean bull runs happening once again. This time for ETH means good times for the ETH holders.

This will also raise the price of bitcoin and in the meantime we all can rejoice on the raised prices eventually sell to book some profits.

Since the trading will start later this year, the bullruns should follow then.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between gamblers and real Bitcoin investors? on: May 24, 2024, 03:22:20 PM
Why are you comparing investing with jobs?

Investments are always the side dish, the job is the main course.

Your job is the one which gives you weekly or monthly income at a stable rate. Your investments vary as per the risks they carry and bring money once a while in bulk. Dont consider it as a job where you have fixed hours and have more or less fixed type of skills to apply.

Your investments should be such that the interest they bring will help fund your short yearly vacations to get off from the job monotony.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Money addiction on: May 24, 2024, 03:17:36 PM
Being frugal is a good trait and there is a difference between being a miser and being frugal about spending even though these two words come up as synonyms in books.

In order to adapt to rising costs and livelihood, the people who have become frugal are only a small fraction of the earning population. Most of them are getting a job and spending as much as they earn. They have not become frugal rather they are addicted to spending.

But this is good for us bitcoiners, because are frugal by nature of bitcoin. Our stashes will increase in price as time passes.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: May 24, 2024, 03:09:51 PM
they are saving business but also taking advantage of the people in time of they need to take out their money .
The simple solution to that is dont play on casinos.

You want to use their service you have to follow their terms and conditions, simple as that. Or stick to gambling places that are legal in your country and dont go to online casinos.

Today the casino numbers have increased because they initially dont ask for KYC and when they do, people start moving to another casino and the previous one struggles to keep up. This has led to a toxic culture among the casinos which most of the players are unaware of.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 24, 2024, 03:05:50 PM
They use to show those huge gains or anything that can attract people since it will give them some exposure and that benefits them a lot.
Mostly how the affiliate tiktokers and youtubers run not just gambling marketing but any other brand too. It is part of the audience that these influencers have that are the target of the product being sold. In this case it is false hope for winning gambling games. For those who understand how gambling works know better to not gamble ever.

If played gambling should be done in a limit and only in trusted casinos like rollbit and not any random site that anybody in the net tell you about. It might be a scam site which asks for deposit to withdraw. Grin
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: May 23, 2024, 07:19:49 AM
there is a gap left by casinos in the past that did not require KYC. and it is exploited by people today to carry out criminal acts such as money laundering.
Of course, it is also uncomfortable for the casino when their platform is used to commit crimes and if it is publicized by the government that handles certain cases, it could be bad for the casino's name.
Casinos play it safe, they dont want trouble from the governments and they dont want criminals to use their site as an intermediary.

So they allow people to run without KYC on signup because they want more people to get into the habit of gambling but when a certain trigger is met, the account gets flagged for KYC/AML procedures.

They are only saving their business and to keep it running they do these things. It is here to stay and it is better players get used to it.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Foolhardy bets. on: May 23, 2024, 07:15:55 AM
Stories of people winning big will conveniently leave out some details like how many losses preceded the win and what is the net win. If you dig deeper on your own you will find out that the cumulative losses are over coming the jackpot and other wins, making the net win amount a big negative. Which means that the player is still a loser.

Gambling is like that only, the edge is on the side of the casino and you will lose more than win in the long term. However such stories do falsely influence the less experienced person and they end up in the vicious cycle of loss-chasing loss-added loss. Recklessly placed bets like "All-in" only add the loss, they are rarely wins.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: .0043 bitcoin loan defaulted by [Devawnm367] on: May 23, 2024, 07:11:00 AM
You guys helped me A LOT I'm not out to hurt any of you. I have Love for this forum if it wasn't for a few of you guys I probably wouldn't be here. Even the once who just occasionally check in...
Shit happens, I get it. Now that you are settling things and getting over the family problems, start by communicating with your lender and starting the repayment process. This is not difficult if you budget your spending and allot a specific sum to your loan like a EMI payment. You lender would definitely consider that option if you are regular with it.

Your reputation here would be cleared to some extent if you pay back what you owe. Nobody here actually know what happened in your life so no point sharing it too or trying to prove it and end up doxxing yourself.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: May 23, 2024, 07:05:16 AM
Un-banning mixers would be a good start  Smiley.
The move to ban the mixers was more of a prophylactic one, assuming that the admin would get a subpoena sometime in future in case mixers were kept active to be promoted on this forum and the forum was being run by its admin, that makes the admin responsible for the popularity of the mixer, in theory of course.

Hence un-banning of mixers will not happen in any time in future.

I cant say, if theymos has already received subpeona regarding the mixers and then they decided to stop them. If you were the admin you would understand the stress of this situation.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Im looking for passive ways to earn yield daily weekly ? on: May 22, 2024, 04:14:19 PM
I would not suggest the crypto lending platforms, previously NEXO, SALT and Celcius have done well, but I do not trust them with my money for the long term.

Instead there are very old casinos that allow bankroll investments and have been running this for years. The best example is Bustabit running since 2014. Previously cryptogames was also having this service but they shut it down and yolodice too which has been completely shut down now.

Returns from these sites will be regular, but you would want to keep them in for longer periods months or years to get the maximum returns.

Check out @mindrust thread about a guide they recently compiled for people looking for passive investments:

17  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 22, 2024, 04:06:55 PM
Well to be honest, bitcoin and its use cases have been small till date and governments are not doing anything conducive to make the acceptance skyrocket. So people come and go as they please and hence we can draw a correlation here that less interest in bitcoin = less users coming to this forum or more people leaving the forum.

The traffic to the site increases when the bull run happens and decreases during a bear market.

So for anyone reading the thread, instead of saying "I dont like the forum anymore" - do something yourself to make yourself involved in it and only then you will find it fun or engaging.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 22, 2024, 03:55:36 PM
I mentioned in another recent post, gamblers are gambling to make money and so the machine for making money being right in front of them, they would not stop to get money to put in that machine. This leads to spending from monthly salary, then moving to family members money and then to taking friends and then to loans and then to unscrupulous means.

This is why before a team is formed for any project, background checks and habits need to be checked for securing the future of the project. Unfortunately this is given little importance in such streams and hence such scandals happen every now and then, with exit scamming being the worst.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 22, 2024, 03:55:01 PM
Each game has its own share of corruption. You cannot stop this from happening because the root causes are so deeply ingrained in the culture and how the games have developed over time. Advertisement companies, Merchandise, TV channels hosting the shows and people who are involved with the games have always invested their money and have been looking out for their own benefits.

The soccer/tennis/cricket councils and such are having a lot of bribery which we never actually get to know of till years have passed away.

Not sure if these things influence people's betting choices on boxing games.

After a brief stint of dip, we are crawling back to 60L again. Wink

Will we hit 1 Crore this year? Roll Eyes
Lets not get too excited, it is just the 1st half of the year with another month left ahead of us. Dropping from this price is also possible so just wait it out.

In other news, welcome back, hope you are well. We are trying to get the Indian section active once again. Hope to read your posts more often.
