2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 21, 2024, 09:29:56 PM
What are the things you would do to resolve the issue?
How do you think you can handle this kind of situation?

To resolve the issue, we need to identify the person who actually paid for the winning ticket, which is the girl. This person is considered the rightful owner of the ticket. If the ticket was purchased jointly by both of them who agreed to split the winnings after the fact, then that does not make all of them owners. However, in this particular situation, the man may be trying to keep half of the winnings for himself, despite that the woman is the one who purchases the ticket. This matter will need to be resolved in a court of law.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: February 21, 2024, 08:59:07 PM
From my little activeness over here in the forum and my involvement in gambling I have been seeing some changes in me and it's gradually beginning not to please me anymore I don't know If I will say I am becoming too emotional with my funds but sometimes it's very painful to place a bet for about 2 to 5 consecutive times no winning and this is what is beginning to me make feels sad. I know is a game of luck but sometimes whatever we do and not feels happy we should try to quit it.

I just have to bring this to know the category of people who belong to this sets that always feels bad or are emotionally touched due to their games has been constantly bursting without winning. I don't know how to channel it but at least gambler should be happy most times i will noticed that only 1 games do take me away from winning and most times there will be option to cash out I will have the full confident that all will be successfully played without knowing games change even at dying minutes.

Countless times it has been discussed on the gambling session that we should gamble for fun so a situation whereby you are gambling and due to the fact that you ain't winning then you start feeling bad and unhappy, the best is to quit at that material time and maybe try your luck again in the future or because of your emotions being attached to your gambling more especially in a case of conspicuous losses, the only thing for you to do is to take a break and even stop gambling because if you continue it may lead you to more serious emotional trauma when you don't win.

I know the feeling more especially in sports betting when only one event spoils the outcome of the rest events but however, sports betting have been made easy now such that if you are having a doubt of all the events would play as predicted then you can cash out as sometimes greed is what makes most gamblers to fail because you want to win the whole possible return and for me what I normally do is to place a bet twice then one of the tickets would be for cash out while the other would run till the end so that I wouldn't lose all the money totally if the game doesn't play as predicted.
I agree, because if you continue gambling and pushing your luck, it is likely that you will end up disappointed with the outcome and lose more money than you anticipated. Taking a break from gambling is also a strategy that can help you unwind and regain your composure. It can also provide an opportunity to reflect on your decisions and make better choices when you return to gambling, which can increase your chances of winning.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 21, 2024, 08:35:02 PM
It's true that taking drugs while gambling is not advisable, as some games require deep thought and concentration. If someone is under the influence, they may not be in the right state of mind to make the best decisions. However, some people do choose to gamble while taking drugs to reduce their fear and take bigger risks. This behavior is not limited to gambling and can occur in other activities as well.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 20, 2024, 08:23:40 PM
You are correct, if someone very young becomes addicted to gambling he or she can erase is dreams in life and go the route of gambling thinking that it will bring them everything they needed in this world.

When things start happening in a way that they don't expect, they might not quit, they might keep pushing harder until nothing works out like they wanted, and this could change them completely, starting all over again in the real world will be so hard to do.

Gambling messed with the mind and the way we think, only if you allow it, but if you are someone who already knows the odds of getting lucky in gambling, you ain't going to ever fall under the rug for gambling, I would rather get addicted to my career in the real world, as a fashionist but not gambling.
Maybe some can erase it but there are some who don't. It's just that gambling consumes them so they don't have time anymore to work on their dreams (if it's not becoming a gambling professional). Young people still have plenty of time and they can still correct their path later on but it's not a good excuse to start it poorly.

Playing gambling in a casino can provide us entertainment and money, and sometimes love if there are women on it but it's not all. There are still other things in life that we need that can't be found in on it. To be addicted in to something even if you say it's a profitable hobby is still not right but everything in this world must have a balance.
I remember myself and how gambling took up most of my time, because I had a strong desire to make money on it, although this did not succeed. I spent a lot of time studying educational materials on betting and poker. I watched streams and tournaments and various fraudulent sports betting experts. After I tried a lot, I burned out and realized that I was wasting my young life. This does not mean that I have completely given up on this, now I only bet on sporting events of my favorite team and this is enough for me to enjoy victories. I think few people will think about this after my post until they understand it with their own minds. I think this will happen sooner or later.
You are fortunate to have realized your gambling problem early on, unlike some other gamblers who continue to gamble without realizing the harm they are causing themselves. Some even become more aggressive in their gambling habits, wasting not only their money but also their youth.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 20, 2024, 08:00:29 PM
The influencer is not affiliated with a casino so losing $4000 is quite hard for him, I see how gambling streamers lose tens of thousands of dollars and they are certainly disappointed but not this much, it's like he's frustrated.

Who has never experienced a loss in gambling, all must have experienced it including myself, where I lost a large amount in a short time because I increased the bet hoping for a better win but it was not, it was not lucky.

I will not be like this and do not want to repeat what has been experienced, clearly when money is deposited in the casino then it must be prepared to lose because it is certain rather than winning.

It says famous which means he could be earning a lot also from his streaming channel. YouTube pays a good amount to those famous influencers. This casino however is not his sponsor so losing I guess would be devastating that's why he acted like a Karen.

If you are not lucky then it's just not your lucky day. This video will remind him of his streaming career, I would probably pick a better game than Bacarrat if I had to spend $4k and spread it all to some other games to enjoy more. Maybe he was just pissed off because it lasted only in 2 minutes.
Yes, he can earn money again from his channels. He's famous for playing a specific game and participating in tournaments, which allows him to earn huge amounts of money.

Choosing to try a different game may be a good option if the influencer is not having luck with Baccarat, but it depends on their willingness to do so.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: February 20, 2024, 07:37:03 PM
Luck is not something that comes all the time and that's what makes it special when it comes to you while you are gambling, some people cheat when they gamble and they said is luck which are all lies but inside them they already know that it want luck but cheating.
However I was lucky to win a bet with my last stake some days ago and I am happy for that, that's why I have to bring it here let's discuss about it, whether you have also win some amount of money with your last stake. I went to a betting shop around my locality then I bet with $10 and lose all of them so I was holding  up to $1 separately for transporting my self back to my residence, but funny how I staked with my transport money and won.
Although, I had more money on  my account that I can use for transporting my self back to my house if incase I lost the physical cash, that was why I wasn't afraid to stake with it.
To make it clear, the $1 in your account is not your last money. It is the remaining balance from your previous deposit, which you were fortunate enough to win on your last bet. I'm not aware of how much you've won with that balance but given that you still have funds in your account, who know that you may consider adding more money to your bet if you happen to lose that remaining $1.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making informed decisions is our responsibility on: February 19, 2024, 04:38:06 PM
Being informed and making informed decisions is a good idea not only in crypto space, but in general in life. The same goes for lifelong learning and actively seeking knowledge.
Relying on information about the past is important, though, as that's how we usually learn about types of scams and can try to find general patterns to resist scammers of the future.
To navigate tons of information, we also need strong analytic reasoning and other skills to make sure that we know how to find and assess information.

Exactly! Being in the know and learning all the time isn't just for crypto because it's a life hack. Sure past info is key especially for spotting scams but we also need street smarts to sift through the info overload. It's like having a superpower to navigate life's twists and turns
That's true, Having information or being informative is a powerful tool in any situation. With the right information, you can overcome any obstacle. Just like in your given example, spotting scams will be easy if you know the key factors to look for.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 19, 2024, 03:58:32 PM
Many people limit their profit by not taking the right actions but trust me every penny worth
Even if u have low budget to invest for your kids do it , and save it for more than 15-20 years
e.g if u put today 100$  on BTC to save for ur Kids future , when they are 20 years that 100$ will go up and down in hours as bitcoin will hit High price
That's quite a long time to hold Bitcoin, but it's worth it for most investors, especially those enthusiasts who have been holding Bitcoin for more than 10 years now. They continue to hold their Bitcoins despite the current price, envisioning a higher value similar to what you have envisioned.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What game will you choose for one shot big bet? on: February 19, 2024, 03:02:14 PM
Slots would be the best choice. I often find myself in a situation where I lose a significant amount of money while gambling, especially in card games that require a minimum deposit to start playing. When my balance goes below the minimum deposit, I switch to playing slots. I have had some experience of winning and multiplying my remaining balance through slot games.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: February 18, 2024, 11:50:16 PM
I will will disagree with your topic OP. Maybe you should rephrase your topic again because you controlling your emotions cannot guarantee you success in gambling. If its is like that 99% of gamblers that knows how to control their emotions would be a successful gamber. Go and find out what controlling emotions means before bringing it to the public so that you wont change the narrative of what a successful gambler means or feels like.
Both of you are right actually and each gambler differs so basically we are seeing those gamblers that don't have control for themselves that they won't earn much money after they've just won in gambling.
But in real life, we don't know if they're the same person or there's already the life attachment for that daily gambler's life and then with the set of reality that he's dealing with and if he's emotional as well.
Anyway, it's true that someone's control over his emotion doesn't guarantee success in gambling but it helps right.
What do you mean when you say that they are not the same person in real life? It is incorrect to assume that they have different personalities just because they engage in other activities, like gambling. If they gamble and behave in a certain way that is considered unthinkable, it simply means that this is their real personality. Their behavior while gambling or in their daily lives may differ, but it does not necessarily mean that they have different personalities.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 18, 2024, 11:27:08 PM
I learned how to gamble before streaming became a thing or before "influencer" became part of the dictionary. I don't follow any of these guys and I don't watch if their videos or ads randomly pops in my feed. I actually block a lot of them so that the social media algo won't show me more of that.
I always have the same reaction whenever I come across an advertisement for gambling on social media. I believe that it is not an appropriate platform to promote gambling, as many young children are exposed to social media influencers and may be negatively influenced by these ads. It's acceptable if the target audience is strictly adults, but it has become a way for children to gain knowledge about gambling.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Is increase in minimum wage a good method to fight inflation? on: February 18, 2024, 11:03:56 PM
When there is inflation, an increase in the minimum wage is necessary to ease the pain of inflation on people. Btw the inflation rate that the government sets is not a good indicator because sometimes they say that inflation is 10% but actually in real life, product and service prices go up by more than 20%. Since many companies pay a minimum official wage to their employees, it's good if governments increase the minimum wage because an increase can help millions of people overcome financial difficulties. For example, while inflation is 20%, 10% increase in minimum wage can make it look like inflation is 10%.

It's not strange when the government said the inflation is 10% but actually around 20%, that's because not all items are up more than 20% let's say in my place vegetables are up for 5% and rice up for 1% so the government will say that the inflation will be around 3%. Why we always feel that the inflation from the government is different from the reality because our daily needs are the one got big inflation.

Raising the minimum wage is good when the companies are able to raise their worker's minimum wage if they can't raise their minimum wage some workers will get fired from the company due to a lack of funds to pay the worker, in the end unemployment rate will increase and many people will lose their purchasing power.
That's correct. In the long run, employers will lose their purchasing power due to inflation. If their salary is not adjusted to match the inflation rate, they will remain stagnant without any improvement unless they find an additional source of income, which may not be a viable option for many employees. However, during this scenario, they will have no other choice.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: February 17, 2024, 09:07:34 PM
Talking about Christianity, it didn't only talk about greed of the love for money but it also condemned it in the bible when the gamblers were seen in the act of gambling and were chased away and that I think signifies those who desire to come close to God should avoid involving themselves in it. But these things don't work that way as more people in the Christendom find themselves gambling even publicly and this is because many feel they can make ends meet with gambling in this harsh economy.
It's quite possible; I haven't read the Bible, but I wouldn't be surprised if it explicitly mentioned that gambling is a sin. As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm an atheist and can't say I'm too bothered about what religion or the Bible says. It wouldn't affect me either way. However, if you take into account the Bible, a lot of things we do on a daily basis, or at least quite frequently, are considered sins. Thus, why should anyone take into consideration whether religion condemns gambling or not?
Perhaps out of curiosity, people tend to have their own set of beliefs, religious practices, and activities that they engage in. Given that we come from different parts of the world, it's natural to be curious about whether these practices are similar or different from those of people from other countries and religions. Like one thing that has always puzzled to some is why some religions frown upon gambling, while others see it as perfectly acceptable.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stick to some Casinos or do you try out new ones? on: February 17, 2024, 08:36:36 PM
what do you think?. Do you believe he is right with the rigid approach to gambling?,  also should I continue convincing him  to try out something new and enjoy these great offers?.
It's good to let your friend gamble at the online casino of their choice. Even if you know that there are exciting offers available at another casino, if your friend is comfortable playing with their current online casino, they may not want to switch and play at your suggested casino. Many gamblers believe that their luck is affected by the casino website they play on, so if your friend feels lucky at their current casino, it's best to let them continue playing there.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 17, 2024, 01:58:30 PM
Let us correct that kind of mindset, Investing doesn't work like a magic wand that generates money instantly. Even if you invest in a popular asset, you still need to have a good understanding of the investment and the necessary actions to take in case of unexpected scenarios. It's crucial to educate ourselves and make informed decisions when it comes to investing.
The shape of each person's mindset in terms of investment and in terms of hoping to make a profit is different, but when it comes to investing in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies you must have a fairly wise mindset, such as not immediately expecting profits to come instantly. Because market conditions don't always work well enough, so in certain conditions everyone must be able to understand that we need to survive when conditions are bad and not panic when we see the price of the assets we invest in not moving well enough in a certain time.
Your statement is unclear. Each individual has a unique mindset when it comes to investments, particularly in cryptocurrencies where having a wise mindset is crucial but then you are saying that all investors should have the same mindset when it comes to crypto investments, whereas other types of investments depend on an individual's personal preferences?
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: February 14, 2024, 08:32:17 PM
I had a friend in the gambling circle,he was gambler addicted person over a year.I had advised him many times, but he is not ready to accept my advice in the gambling.Apart from gambling,my friend accept my advice without any hesitation. When I had a time on weekend,I get a chance to meet him in personal.I had some question about his gambling addiction, but the sad part is he is not accepted his gambling addiction towards the gambling site.

He said that he had nearly 64k dollars as a loss in the gambling site.In order to recover that 64k dollars,he keeps on betting from all his economic resources.I had advice him to use only 20 percentage of salary to get away from entire gambling loss. But he is now repeating the same 100 percentage of income from weekly, biweekly and monthly. So he was in the big loan problem.Still he is arranging funds from loan to play gambling, because he think that the recovery was possible at the place where he lost his money. What will be your suggestion for my friend to recover from the gambling addiction.
Your suggestion of using 20% of his salary on his gambling is still high. It seems that your friend did not consider your suggestion, as per your story. In this situation, your only option left is to reach out to someone from his family and ask them to talk to him. Encourage him to seek professional help from a therapist. This will allow him to share his experiences and work with the therapist to find a solution.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: February 14, 2024, 08:06:58 PM
Only stupid parents prioritize their passion for gambling rather than their children. This man was very unreasonable in letting his two children be in danger, even though his children still need parental attention, he deserves punishment!!!
Not two children, but a two-year-old kid was left behind alone while his father was gambling. Guess what, if you read the whole statement, you will know that the father was arrested and received punishment for what he has done.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 14, 2024, 07:47:26 PM
That's what other people find it hard to understand. Investing your money is a much more profitable approach than simply saving it. Money should be utilized to generate more money, rather than simply being stored away for years without any growth. Failing to make use of your money means you're missing out on potential earnings.
It is going to grow in itself if we invest it to a known investment that we are aware of that will generate us money. But here's the thing, people who are saving probably have thought of investing it.

This might fit on the list
  • Trying to win the jackpot in gambling to improve one's life.

Some individuals feel like they have exhausted all options and are dissatisfied with their current life situation. For them, gambling seems to be the only way out, as they hope to win a large sum of money to improve their financial status.
