Hey I'm Max on that group and am an admin to a point for instance I can unban etc.. but as far as group control is Erik I believe. There is a bot which bans anyone who post's a link maybe why you where banned I don't think anyone banned you on purpose. which can be fixed or I don't know if another group was added. I cannot add any other admins etc.. -__- so I don't have much control. Feel free to msg me directly on telegram I check it more often.

I've come up with a solution that works NOW, but no one wants to carry it.
I donated a small amount 3 weeks ago, but apart from that, the last donation was in 2017.
Adding nodes will not secure the network. Only miners will secure the network. #brokenrecord
Current hash rate: 1.7 MH/s
This is great don't get me wrong, but in the long term it's just not feasible, unless there are an endless supply of donations. The long term in my opinion is the fork. This would attract miners and secure the network.

I think this would be the perfect time to restart IFC and get it listed somewhere else, multiple exchanges
That's the idea the current discussion is whether to fork or not to fork. We are discussing starting to discuss it at ifcreborn.com

so talking to everyone on telegram and discord we felt we needed a place to discuss IFC And see how we can boost/revive this coin. I have put together the following forum yesterday use it as you wish for IFC related things. We will be discussing IFC's future on there. It's a work in progress if there is any functionality missing or needed just ask can be implemented easily enough: IFCReborn ifcreborn.comI did post a picture but seems like since my account is newbie then dosn't come up.

Information from Novaexchange: "We are happy to announce that we have found a new partner that is willing, experienced, and able to carry on running Nova Exchange. So.The show will go on! More information will follow. In the meantime, keep on trading crypto. Best Wishes to you all! "
So if they are not closing their system, they can manage our coin swap...
I can provide new coin - blockchain, wallets, explorer, website domain. Anyway your help is needed.
We need: - coin/blockchain/wallet devs - website designer - community manager - and more (I don't know who right now ;p)
If anyone is interested, pm me. We can try with sample project first.
This is awesome about NOVA! so here is the skinny we have telegram going talking about IFC also have a discord chat we are using to discuss (faster than forum talk). Telegram: https://t.me/Infinitecoin Discord: https://discord.gg/YeYy6hAdditionally I put up a forum recently dedicated to IFC so we are not hijacking bitcointalk and can talk about all things IFC ->>> ifcreborn.com this is were we will be discussing topics like new coin / hard forks and all that jazz. Send me a msg and we can discuss probably better on discord or telegram or the IFC forum. I have also sent you a PM here.

Hey everyone- I'm looking at what resources I do have to offer, since I haven't been able to put much time towards IFC. I think I can offer something very substantial for the community, but first I want to go over things I perceive as needed for IFC to grow in the US. First off, we need miners. The auto-faucet is a great short-term solution for an incentive. Any ideas on how we can incentivise mining for the long term? We need devs. Unfortunately, no one in my personal network seemed interested. However, if someone here is willing to spearhead the hunt for a dev team, I can provide valuable resources towards that. Finally, we need to get listed on a major US exchange. Here's Poloniex's statement on getting a coin listed. Here's what I can offer. I have access to an audience of about 350,000 monthly users, of which about 40% are US-based. The audience is primarily gamers, though there's a lot of overlap with with technology interests (including development and cryptocurrencies). This platform drives traffic to Discord communities. So here is it. If someone or a team will take care of managing a Discord server/community, I can help it grow rapidly and bring a lot more attention to IFC. I got 1.4 million IFC does anyone want them? This coin is dead. I cannot even sync the wallet.
You can send them to the auto-faucet: i86R5mEaP7SFGfuGhzvzguuRH4c98AefzQ. Or see about getting your wallet file to almightyruler. Finally, I'd happily take them, but I don't want to be seen as greedy I have spoken to a someone and they are willing to manage the Discord server/community I will post it once he creates it and gets it setup. He also said he can have two other moderators.

Is everyone on here on the telegram group?
t.me/infinitecoin
Yes, I joined the telegram group. For me, being in a group is very important to know the latest updates of this project. You can also join to find out information about the project, if you want. I am actually on there pretty active name is tag name is max on there. I was more asking to have everyone join in on the discussion if they haven't already. Great to hear though!

The question really is which code base is best to change to if it is a viable option?
|
|
|
why do we keep going on about attracting miners?
we need to simply fork a good coin
pivx, or some other up to date good pos coin and coin swap from this old relic to the new code base.
Okay, that would work too. We need to attract devs then its not that hard, say the community agrees to a 1-5% super block in the new code base, get some coder to swap us over to a good new codebase they keep the 1% or 5% and swap it. whitecoin swapped from their old shit to just a simple pos3 and it went sky high Great idea! I love it! How do we do this? Not say this is ultimately what needs to be done but interesting points https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=880220.0in short: Transparent Crypto Coin Swap Guidelines: #1 All wallets are forward compatible. Original wallets must work with new blockchains. #2 Automatic payouts. Find all the addresses + balances. Send back all the coins in the first block of the new blockchain. #3 Maintain copies of the older blockchains through multiple channels of distribution. Advanced work can be done to create a custom block explorer that combines both blockchains allowing users to search through both seamlessly as 1 chain.

Ok Guys I do not own the following server or content but I have used it and looks ok. I am no responsible for anything. but you can download the block chain files from here: http://108.61.216.160/cryptochainer.chains/chains/just scroll down and find infinitecoin. don't forget to update nodes, and should sync fairly quickly. Thanks,

...unlimited coin node collection activities... What does this mean? As we all know, the nodes of infinite money are not stable, we hope to collect more than 100 nodes to make the infinite coin network faster and safer, which is a selfless contribution to the cause Okay, well if it counts for anything, I run a dedicated server so my node is online 24/7 with a stable IP. I have a couple of servers with dedicated IP's so I can set them up as nodes with 24/7 uptime also. Do you have info on getting them up etc... These are *nix servers. Welcome to this great process to make IFC develop in a fair, transparent and healthy environment Yea was following IFC when it first started. I'm willing to contribute and push it forward. I can also help with development as I have stated before of course I don't have enough time to just do it alone but I'm ready to get started

what about crowdfunding the dev whether a new team or the previous team?
There should first be a Dev Team to speak of, it seems like there missing in action. From previous posts it looks like they are not interested, but there could be a new dev team. Plenty of devs out there like my self, but like how many have mentioned this effort would take funding.

Thanks TS. I appreciate you verifying publicly what I have been saying.
So there you have it folks. You know the current status and that it will take significant brain power, financing, and grunt work to move this project forward.
My life is busy and crypto is only my hobby but if you want this project to move I will volunteer my time to draft a proposed course of action, ico proposal, attempt to build a team, find a reliable escrow agent.
There had better be overwhelming support to this right here if YOU want it to happen. If your only interest is in cashing in some big bag of coins on the backs of the team, it is not going to happen.
So step up and publicly share what YOU can do to revive IFC.
If there is a strong following for this, I have no problem joining the fight to make this happen. I have good amount of experience / skills in the real world as an sw engineer / Dev. Like coinits mentioned I am also very busy but will make time to join a team of dev's to push this out. we just have to see how many are willing to dedicate serious time to this.
