101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can reach 3000 USD in a year ? on: June 09, 2017, 02:17:49 AM
If the price continues to jump day by day. The bitcoin price will make it in $3000 before the year ends. All we need to do is wait until it happens.

If it continues the rise its had over the last few weeks I think we will hit $3000 before the month ends even. The pumping lately has been astonishing.
102  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where to find bitcoin or altcoin every day on: June 09, 2017, 02:13:57 AM

I want to know where you can get bitcoin or altcoin every day
Ayao share, so others can know too?

There's an old bearded man who lives behind the big green house in the cul-de-sac on Culler Ave. His name is Steve, and he will give you bitcoin or altcoin every day except for Tuesdays because Tuesdays are buy one get one free day at Pepe's Sandwich shop and we all know he loves that place.

Wow thanks for this great advice, now all I need to do is figure out where Culler Ave. is and which of the many bearded men is Steve. Or perhaps I'm better off finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is pakistan threat to the world on: May 26, 2017, 01:15:23 AM
Pakistan are allied with Western powers. They have some religious extremists but on a governmental level they are not dangerous at all. The best thing we can do is to support them and help them keep a safe and stable country and secure and keep track of their nuclear stockpiles.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: If I showed you this a year ago, would you have believed me? on: May 25, 2017, 05:44:23 AM
$5000 if they solve the scaling problems.

More people and companies will feel confident and join the community.

it's nearly $4000 in korea right now. i don't think they care.

I also heard its $3000 in Japan, is there no one doing arbitrage?
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins do you want to hold in 2017? on: May 18, 2017, 03:44:21 PM
Aragon is the main coin to hold in 2017!
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What catastrophic event do you think would cause Bitcoin to drop? on: May 18, 2017, 03:38:19 PM
Fees spiking in the double digit $ amount for the average transaction. It will put bitcoin out of reach for the majority of its current userbase.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: May 18, 2017, 03:22:43 PM
Greed is human nature and also the only purpose of gambling is greed either monetary greed or greed in the wish to win something.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of Bitcoin on: May 18, 2017, 03:15:21 PM
Yeah bitcoin has gained a lot in value but is currently failing in its original purpose to be a cheap method of both transfers and payments by users.

At this rate its soon going to end up being a currency only for the ultra rich and big organisations.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BAT - Basic Attention Token ICO (31-5-17)- Worth Investing? on: May 18, 2017, 03:07:11 PM
No Replies? No one looking thinking of investing in the BAT ICO?

Try out their browser. Honestly I don't know if I like their business model but their devs are top notch.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are paying miners $5000, undeservedly on: May 18, 2017, 02:56:15 PM
And miners have no reason to stop while fees keep increasing, there will be no incentive for a compromise until bitcoin crashes and miners start losing money. It's unfortunate but its the reality we live in.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAAH Beta - June 7 - Join us for the Airdrop Now. on: May 18, 2017, 02:33:07 PM
I'm still trying to figure out if this is a real project or not and can't tell from the replies in this thread.

Either way I guess the free WAAH I got isn't going anywhere, but I won't invest new funds in it unless the dev shows us something real.
112  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: May 18, 2017, 02:03:31 PM
We should have basic local bitcoin infrastructure implemented, like bitcoin payment processors, exchange liquidity, local acceptance rate etc. Otherwise the local merchants have no point to pay extra for installing such system to accept BTC.

All this is already available through several services such as bitpay. It already costs merchants less to accept bitcoin than it does for them to accept a credit card transaction. Everyone posting here seems to be completely clueless about the current situation of bitcoin in the marketplace, perhaps because you haven't tried these services before in real life.
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin break the history. on: May 18, 2017, 01:55:52 PM
Bitcoin is entering a new era of mass adoption, the price is sure to spike over the coming months with new ATHs seen on a regular basis.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: May 18, 2017, 01:48:35 PM
I prefer holding bitcoin that Gold because bitcoin price is pumping and pumping and because the bitcoin has a limited volume with the characteristic of that then the bitcoin will undergo the supply and demand because of the limited supply. So the price of it will depend on the people who are supporting bitcoin so the price of the bitcoin will be pump as time pass by.
Well you have some point. That bitcoin still rising in this year. As of in january bitcoinprice took in $1100 i think and drop down to $888 then climb up to $1800 now..... And still more rising. Anyways Bitcoin is much more nice to hold than gold because you will see it thay bitcoin price in 2013 is just $1-$10 but now 1BTC is now $1800 and still more rising.

Do you think that this rise is going to last forever? I really doubt that. It is looking like a bubble right now. No one knows when the bubble is going to burst. Just be prepared, as I feel that a major correction can happen anytime in the next few weeks. But there is nothing to worry, if you have already done your bit of profit booking.

Yes bitcoin price is like a bubble in water, now it is growing big slowly, but one day it will burst so wait for that movement and before that make money how much it is possible. And gold is an evergreen product the will not pump like bitcoin, but it is stable at one decent price since many years. It will never fall like bitcoin.

Gold has been pumped and dumped many times over the decades so there is nothing stable about its price. Sure the volatility on bitcoin is bigger but that's because its marketcap is smaller so it takes less money to move the market, once bitcoin reaches a similar marketcap as gold the price will be just as "stable" which is to say not really stable but less volatile than now.

Bitcoin cannot match the same marketcap of gold because Bitcoin have maximum limit of Bitcoins but gold still have 3 times more then bitcoins value to be discovered. I will prefer both investment gold and bitcoin because both have their own benefits.

You just gave the exact reason why bitcoin should have a higher marketcap than gold, it has a hard limit which means no inflation. That brings more money to bitcoin and eventually there is little doubt it will surpass gold.

In other words gold is just as inflationary as fiat and the sooner people realize it the sooner it will crash back down to 200$. Bitcoin on the other hand is set to gain value faster than ever.

Plus gold doesn't have all the news, hype and developments seen in bitcoin and absolutely no value as a currency.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever drop to $1200-$1500 on: May 18, 2017, 01:42:23 PM
I think bitcoin price would not drop to even $1500 as we can see more countries accepting bitcoin payments and more people willing to buy more bitcoins. So it would be better if you buy bitcoins now itself.

$1500 isn't that far away. Especially if you look at how poor the buy support among exchanges is. It takes a relatively low number of coins to dump the price down significantly.

Example;

It takes 2900BTC to dump the price +$400 lower on Bitstamp.
It takes 3000BTC to dump the price down +$600 on GDAX (Coinbase).
Only difference is Bitfinex, but we know that people can't get their USD out. It takes 3700BTC to dump the price down +$200 there.
Bitfinex has always had the best liquidity of all exchanges. I think that's the exact reason larger traders prefer to remain trading there instead of moving elsewhere.

I personally make use of Kraken and Bitstamp, and thus far they have proven to be reliable. They may not have the same level of liquidity as Bitfinex, but for me it's more than enough.

Bitstamp has always worked great for me although I've seen a few complaints on bitcointalk about them before. I have yet to try kraken though, is there any benefit to them over bitstamp?
116  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: May 18, 2017, 01:35:17 PM
I advice you to invest it in the gambling site because most of the users were starting to become addict in gambling. Also due to high price of Bitcoin in the market the users were starting to trust their luck to easy earn income.

I do not think gambling investment is affected by players that were addicted in a positive way only.  We all know that the result of bets are random so it is possible that bankroll will win and lose.  And not all people that are involved in bitcoin are moron that they will let their earnings depend on luck.  Most just save their BTC and or invest it to ICO.
I think so , gambling is not always a wrong investment if you know how to invest on rightly .People try their luck to earn more money but if you use that 12btc into a gambling only its a suicide move .Also in altcoins without knowing anything to trade so its better to take some good amount to practice or to.have a knowledge before you put some big amounts in any investment .Well i only know trading is a good source of profits .
yes there is no doubt about this that gambling is not a wrong investment, to me i think it is really a good investment. as there is more fun and money in gambling, but for that you need to have good strategy and planing in gambling  if you do not have any strategy and planing then gambling is too much expensive and there are more chances that you will lose everything in gambling.

Gambling and investment are two different things, anyone who would suggest otherwise is never going to have any success until he changes the way he thinks.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: x20 Investment Opportunity on: May 18, 2017, 01:28:44 PM
I can't believe OP actually managed to lure in some poor losers to his scamcoin.
118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will trump be assassinated in Israel? on: May 18, 2017, 01:18:24 PM
What kind of question is that, Israel isn't some stupid country to risk war with the US over 1 piece of burned intel.
119  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: May 18, 2017, 01:09:56 PM
Always in the world there is a conflict of generations. The older generation very rarely changes their habits, and their habits are lagging behind technology development. It is easier to live in the old. And ideas about the dangers of new technologies. I love the new items and their use. My grandmother can't learn how to use a smartphone and therefore still uses the old Nokia.

And thats not a negative thing, I mean even OP's post about laziness. Well technology gives you choice, in the past your choices were limited and now you have more choice. Just because you decide to be lazy (new generation) doesn't mean its a bad thing because it doesn't restrict the choice of the old generation to go out and do what they've always done.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: May 18, 2017, 01:02:35 PM
I have sent BTC yesterday but one day passed it is not confirmed, I have raised mining fee, this sucks.

Bitcoin will obviously die for the millionth time.

In reality these current problems are a necessary evil to force the bitcoin community to come to an agreement on how to scale the network for a much larger number of transactions. It obviously doesn't help you and the thousands of other people with these issues now but eventually these problems will be a thing of the past.
