101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥100% PoS + Masternodes💥Txbit.io exchange is live now ! on: November 22, 2019, 08:43:32 AM
I Read somewhere in discord that the blockchain was stabilzing .in beginning they needed too do staking thereself.too let the blockchain works smoothly so diff is little high .
So in beginning there were 900 blocks A Day by example and now we are closing in to the normal blocks A Day. That's probaly why its not the same yet.
Hope i explained IT right

Oh, yes. That should be it.
I received my first stake after four days and after that, there is a frequency of receiving a stake once in 2-3 days with the number of coins that I've staked

I visited both the website and the swap active swap page on txbit.io but I don't find details on total coins/ percentage of already swapped coins.
Do I miss something or Solaris developers have not yet included those details for visitors to see the swap progress, if they don't swap coins themselves?
https://www.solarisplatform.com/swap.html
https://txbit.io/swaps

Yes, the team hasn't put any details about the number of coins swapped and its percentage on the website but they are regularly posting the updates regarding the swap in every social media platform that they are in.
102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get real time BTC price on: November 21, 2019, 06:26:13 PM
This may require a bit of manual work but you can use Blockfolio to achieve what you require.
It is a mobile app where you can enter the amount of BTC or any other altcoin you transact at the given date and time and it will keep you updated with the value change and also the value of it when it was transacted in any currency fetching prices from supported exchanges.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are xmrig downloads checksum available? on: November 21, 2019, 08:33:51 AM
I am guessing that unlike wallets which keep private keys, most people run the software on a dedicated mining rig which does nothing but mine. So there are no private keys or anything. However there are people that mine with their personal computer that they use on a daily basis and they would like assurances that its not malware.

That is true. When the news came about the wallets being malicious at getmonero website. I was really concerned as I just set up the wallet hours ago in my personal rig with Ryzen 1700 to be ready when the algorithm transition hits. I was safe as I downloaded the binaries directly from the GitHub page and the hash matched but I cannot imagine how much damage it could have caused instead.

For some weird reason, many of the miner software almost never has any type of checksum or signatures available. Its been like this for years and no idea why. It looks like you were provided the checksum for XMRIG however many software like Claymore's is never available.

I've posted this on the official Claymore threads and I kept telling the guy to "Please post checksum or your signature so we can verify the download". And he usually never replied to my post. It became an issue because his downloads started getting flagged as viruses and you couldn't tell if it was a false positive or not. But he still wouldn't post the checksum. No idea why.

I hope that everyone does follow this whenever they upload their new software may it be a miner, an OS image or anything as it makes it so much easier to verify that you have the authenticate file and also to download directly from GitHub or compile the software on your own.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU to mine CN-GPU? (XEQ RYO) on: November 21, 2019, 08:25:31 AM
Well, CN is for Cryptonight and there are many variants of it that have been incorporated in private cryptocurrencies.
Now, XEQ is based on Cryptonight Light V7 so GPUs such as Vega 56/64 will be the best bet to mine them.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: November 20, 2019, 06:22:12 PM
Thank you, I going to try video steps.

I have another old rig with 6 GPU EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 3GB video cards and I was wondering if it's possible to use Claymore 15.0 to mine on it.

Is there a way to mine with Claymore 15.0 with this rig?

https://investoon.com/tools/dag_size

Here, you can see the DAG size for ETH and ETC has surpassed 3GB so you won't be able to mine ETH or ETC.
You can mine other Ethash based coins which have DAG less than 3GB and use Claymore for it.

Also, in the log, you haven't set your primary address so it is trying to mine at default address.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GMiner v1.76 Equihash(BEAM, BTG, YCASH)/CuckooCycle(AE, GRIN)/Ethash/Eaglesong on: November 20, 2019, 06:14:41 PM
Hello, I'm just not as good with linux and dont have time to figure out how to make headless linux rig os...

I'm trying to run Gminer for windows as a service. I'm using NSSM, The Non sucking service manager. When I do all the work and run the service, it does not work. When I check "Allow service to interact with desktop" I find that miner restarts on message "Miner found tampering of miner code in memory" or something like that...

Anyone have idea how to make service out of win gminer? Any suggestion?

Why don't you try running it as a scheduled task or autorun as soon as the PC starts?
It's much easier to implement and it won't have issues as such.

Anyway, if you are still keen to run the miner as a service, try SrvStart and see if it works.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 20, 2019, 10:24:00 AM
Don't worry! I'm in the same boat as you.
I accumulated a lot of coins in 2017 and as the bull run came, I thought too, let's hold it and see where it goes but in some time, the bubble burst and all came to shambles.
I would say that was the worst mistake of my life and I realised it's not about HODL or whatnot.
It's just that when you see that you have crossed what you were expecting, you should cash out because the crypto market is known for its volatility and it's never going to stay stable.
So, get ahead of the game and take the chance when you still have it.

Anyway, don't worry. There will come many more runs in the future and we won't make the same mistake twice.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are xmrig downloads checksum available? on: November 20, 2019, 09:54:41 AM

Thanks for your reply.

Now I can see the sha256 hash too. A few hours ago, when I posted the fist message the hash list wasn't there, as for older releases that are still without hash checksum. Probably they added it later. I don't know if the developer have read my post or if someone else made this request... Anyhow this is good for XMRig.

You're welcome!
I think you may have heard about the latest cli precompiled monero wallets being malicious in the getmonero website.
Someone found out that the checksum for the wallet downloaded from the website wasn't the same and it contained malware.
Source: https://amp.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/dyfozs/security_warning_cli_binaries_available_on/

I never did the verification for the files but now I feel like it's a mandatory step to take if you download any software from the internet.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: November 19, 2019, 07:08:57 PM
Looks like the CLI binaries available at getmonero.org has been compromised and the users are advised to check the integrity of the binaries they download.

source: https://amp.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/dyfozs/security_warning_cli_binaries_available_on/

Oh, that is crazy! Thank you for the update.
How is something like this even possible?
I downloaded the wallet a while ago in my PC with Ryzen 7 1700 to be ready for RandomX.
Anyway, the checksum matches as I downloaded directly from the GitHub releases.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are xmrig downloads checksum available? on: November 19, 2019, 06:41:04 PM
Well, it is available in their Github repository itself.
Please check if the browser that you are using is able to display it as I had really no issues finding the SHA-256 checksum for the files.
Here take a look:
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best place to start learning about crypto? on: November 19, 2019, 12:42:16 PM
The best way to learn about something is to start experimenting in practical.
You can learn the basics from literally anywhere, whether it be google, youtube or this forum itself.

Start by thinking about the questions you want to know the answers to related to cryptocurrencies, then the learning curve begins.
Whenever you bump into something that you cannot understand, you can definitely raise a question in the forum and many will assist you for the same.

Also, this book is the holy grail to understand cryptocurrencies - Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas M. Antonopoulos

112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you holding Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2019, 03:52:11 PM
Bitcoin is and always will be the gold standard of cryptocurrencies.
No matter how close other altcoins ever come in terms of market value or other features.
BTC will always stick to the first position.

I used to think that ETH might surpass BTC and it got really close at the start of 2018 but I guess it was just a huge pump.

I have a little less than half holdings in BTC and the rest is divided in ETH, XMR and LTC.
So yes, I'm holding BTC and I'll keep HODL it for the foreseeable future.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For Highly-Confidential Transactions 🔏 (MOD) on: November 18, 2019, 02:26:57 PM
Last release Sumo GUI Wallet v0.2.2
Is it compatible with this hardfork?

No, it is not compatible with the hardfork as it has v0.5.1.1 binaries.
Sumokoin team has updated the GUI wallet to v0.3.0 which is compatible with the hardfork.

114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start in the world of blockchain as a developer with phyton? on: November 18, 2019, 11:50:09 AM
I am soon interested in learning about phyton, and I would like to know which would be the right way to work with blockchain/cryptocurrency/exchange among other things related to this world, what would be your advice, recommendations and suggestions, to develop in this world, as a developer.

Python is not the only way to go if you want to develop a blockchain or blockchain-based programs.
C++, Java, Python are the options for it.

If you want to develop an exchange, you'll have to learn building websites using HTML, jQuery, JavaScript and in the backend using SQL, Database and such.

It's better if you select just one thing at a time and learn it perfectly rather than jumping from one place to another.

"If the time for the promotional free bet is going to be random in a span of seven days or a month".
I would not stay vigilant for it as it will consume my attention for it most of the time which will render it useless.
If there is going to be a time period like between 02:00 to 04:00 where you will have that opportunity then I'll surely keep myself awake for the free bets and try my luck out.
Even if I made a handful, I'll count it as a win because there was no initial cost to being with.
Moreover, a system of notification might be really useful.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner Equihash&Grin Miner, 0.8.8 (Aug 23rd) on: November 18, 2019, 05:11:36 AM
Only one vega 64 card in a 8cards rig after 5-10 minutes go to 0 s/s hash. The others works fine. I tried increase the virtual memory but same problem. Do you have any idea what can I do? Other software with other algorithm works fine.

Just revet any OC that you have on that particular card and try again.
If it doesn't work, try replacing the riser. They are one of the major points of failure.

Hi guys,

Its normal for an vega64 on beam do 26,5 sol? Cool

Increase memory and core clocks with voltages. It'll increase the hash rate but also power consumption. So, try to find a sweet spot for it.

I have an error on the latest GeForce 441.20 drivers:

D:\bminer>bminer -uri ethash://0x345675c61cb8efcc2815c16844100d0fe2dfca4a.MSI1080@eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -api 127.0.0.1:1880

[INFO] [2019-11-17T11:52:37+03:00] Detecting platform

[WARN] [2019-11-17T11:52:45+03:00] Miner died! It will be restarted soon...

The updated Nvidia driver in your rig is causing this error in Bminer.
As of now, there is no solution to it except to downgrade your drivers.
DDU the old drivers in safe mode and clean install 430.39 driver version.
It should rectify your problem.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help with nicehash miner on: November 17, 2019, 02:58:46 PM
Hi guys i need help with nicehash miner, the older version used to run very well on my w7 version but after i updated miner to latest version it stop running, it won't launch or give any response at all, any help will be appreciate

To not run in this issue again and get the best possible speed for your rig.
I'll suggest updating it to Windows 10 LTSC version, doing all the remaining software update and then disabling Windows Defender and updates using Group policy panel.
Just remember as there will be no malware protection, you should only download wallets, miners, etc. from their official site and Github releases.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Azure Free Credits for Mining Monero/Other CN-Coins. Super-Easy&Super-Profitable on: November 16, 2019, 02:38:07 PM
Azure has blocked this feature....

Is there anyway to make it work on AWS or google cloud?

Even in AWS or Google Cloud, you'll face issues like suspended account due to violation of terms.
I did try it on AWS for a week with some free credit during promotion a while back and the account was suspended just after a few hours and requiring a mail to re-activate the account but I was sure they won't reactivate it.
Moreover, migration to RandomX algorithm will bring a wave of CPU miners to XMR network and we will see many users trying to use on-demand computing platforms for it and their accounts getting suspended in no time.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.7c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: November 16, 2019, 02:28:26 PM
Thanks for the answer I will do it so.
Do you you have so good mem tweak for vega 56 with 64 bios and Vega 64 too on ETH?

If the GPU has Samsung RAM then it will overclock really well which also goes for vega 56 with 64 bios flashed.
Flash the bios, increase mem and reduce core and subsequent voltages in overdriveNtool, use AMD Mem Tweaker to apply weak memory timings after that and run the miner. That's all I have to reach the highest possible hashrate in ETH and XMR.
