What is road map for this coin now if i may ask ?
There isn't an official roadmap yet but it will be along the lines of what the original project aimed for e.g. promoting ELYTE as the first Ethereum Currency, getting merchants on board and also the possibility of an ELYTE marketplace. But I don't want to get too far ahead and mislead anyone. The success of this project will come from community involvement. This means the first priority is to distribute ELYTE coins to those who are still holding ELITE and want to get involved. If we get the support and the numbers then this coin can easily surpass the ATH of ELITE and that would give us a lot of options for the future. |

If you've been following the Ethereum Lite project then hopefully you've come to the same conclusion as everyone else that it was indeed a scam and the dev has no intention of coming back.SO WHAT HAPPENS NOW? Anyone can read through the old thread and see that there was a lot of community support for that project and many people were hoping that the dev would come back and revive the coin. As that hasn't happened, a few of us were starting to talk about ways to take over the coin and move it forward as a community. Philicibine was the first one to take action and create a new coin called Ethereum Lyte [ELYTE] which is intended to replace the ELITE project that has let down so many people.
WHAT IS ELYTE? ELYTE is an ERC20 token which has been created to replace the dead ELITE coin and revive the community which supported it. There are 1 million ELYTE coins with 100,000 of them reserved for the dev fund and bounties. The aim is to make ELYTE the first Ethereum token that is used as a currency. It will be faster, cheaper than Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies and the goal is to be accepted by merchants. Coins will be distributed as fairly as possible to the community and community feedback will be sought at all stages of development. This is exactly the same as the original project but with more honesty and transparency and the intention to provide a much better outcome for the people who back this coin.WHY NOT JUST USE ETHER AS A CURRENCY? As someone who has been playing the Barclays FPL since it started, I also agree it has an easy to understand points system and for FootballCoin to adopt the same system would make it much easier to get players from that game to switch over.
I know a lot of work has probably been put into setting up the current stats system but serious consideration should be given to the points made above.
The idea of a Slack channel should also be looked into further as player feedback is hugely valuable if we want to keep improving the game as time goes on.

I like that it has low supply and good ann but what else is there here that is worth everybodys time? Idk This is the crazy world of crypto so you never know what could happen. It's only been a week. The developer could still make one of the greatest comebacks known to crypto. Some alts are even showing signs of resistance, as though there has been a decoupling in the minds of some traders/investors. They could start selling off again before I even finish this post but at the moment ARK, XVG, QRL and a few others I like are up from recent lows.
Another thing that might be happening is that people have already seen enough gains from holding BTC and are now ready to get into the next alt pump ahead of the crowd.

I didn't watch the match but if the Monaco defence was under pressure for large parts of the game then they might have gained points from things such as goal-line clearances, blocks, interceptions. They said they've recovered one wallet with 8k.
This puts the stolen amount at around 60k to 70k ELITE depending on the exact amount that had already been paid out in bounties.
Put yourself in the shoes of the developer. If you were gonna scam then you could pull the exact same move in another two weeks. All the signs were pointing towards a big price pump.
Investor confidence was high, awareness was growing, more exchanges were expected to be announced and volume was exploding.
If you're gonna scam then would you do it now for a potential $60k or wait a few weeks for $300k plus?
This is all very true but imagine you are the dev and live in an area where 60k USD is enough to live off of for 2-5 years time...I know waiting for more would be the correct play but cashing out is a tempting thing and I am not gonna say that 100% happened here but that is what it looks like to me on the surface. That has also crossed my mind and none of us can be sure either way but I have the luxury of not having invested any of my own money in this so I'm relaxed and happy to let this play out. At the very least it will be a learning experience which I can use to my benefit in future. |

So guys is this coin done? Will it recover or not?
I am also of the opinion that it will recover. Other coins have also suffered hacks in the past and gone on to recover very successfully. I know that the famous Ethereum hack was very different from what has happened here but it has a similar impact on investor confidence. Some people might be worried about the developers motivation to continue considering they now only have around 8000 ELITE but I think this will motivate them even more to succeed and make their coin valuable. |

I got 600 ELITE in the first airdrop and I don't think the dev would pull a scam when the price is at $1 and gaining huge volume. If he was going to scam then he had an excellent opportunity to wait a few weeks and make 5 or 10 times more. In any case, I think we're talking about 8% of the coins being stolen. Hardly enough to kill off a project and I hope the dev is buying up some coins right now while they are on sale because if he puts the effort into being transparent and keeping the project going then he could still benefit. I'm still holding onto my coins and seeing how all this unfolds. |
