101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins do you like besides Ethereum? on: May 12, 2018, 05:03:17 AM
I will choose a coin after a while. The coin is too much now. Which coin do you like? Please tell me some reasons. I will thank you very much.
If I were to choose a coin that is just like ethereum, I will choose a utility token or coins that are used in their real use-case scenarios. Also, byteball also acts like ETH which can also be used for payments. Byteball is currently ranked 108 in the coin marketcap and you can see how people are using it. If you will study the price graph of byteball you can see how well it is supported by the community.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for altcoins? on: May 12, 2018, 04:55:33 AM
What is the best and trusted wallet for lots of altcoins?

No other wallet is safer than the wallet created by the coin dev/team
Not all wallet developed by the team is safe. Other wallets created by them has a lot of bugs and sometimes your transactions doesn't go through when you use their wallets. The good side on this is that, you can easily contact them about your issues and they can fix it immediately.

What is the best and trusted wallet for lots of altcoins?
Considering the recent DNS attack on MEW, I've been reading some articles that mycrypto.com is a lot safer than MEW so I've been thinking about using it.
103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Big gains come with big losses on: May 12, 2018, 04:37:37 AM
This greed brought on by the price influxes is blinding people from the reality that crypto prices cant keep going up forever.
It is the same thing that happen to bitcoin last year and eventually by the start of 2018, it started to fall down as well. I also made a mistake that time and thought that it will just continue to increase without thinking that it could fall anytime soon. So to my regret and to make up with that mistake, I am still holding my cryptos hoping that ATH will happen once again. Greed really clouds your judgement.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learnings from crash on: May 12, 2018, 04:31:56 AM
What do you think you learned from the crash? Hmm ... Perhaps then periodically you need to fix profits. If you do not, then you become a long-term investor.
Also I was convinced that it is not necessary to sell in a minus. All by a little increases in price, I can already sell some positions and have a profit from it.
That would be the basic concept of all investors but not all investment that went down in the gutter will bounce back eventually if you give it more time. Some investments although you do not know what will happen, will lose its value it will never go higher than your point of entry so better you do a lot of research in your current one like reading news, following twitter page or any other social media accounts so you will always be on the loop and be updated.
105  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SOLVED] Preliminary Scam Accusation vs Cryptopia for holding customers funds on: May 11, 2018, 06:57:19 PM
Ok I have been asked to change the thread's title to remove the word solved. Hopefully this is something that can be handled sooner than the previous problem.
Will stay tuned for updates.

Edit: updated OP
OP can update the thread's title again back to solved. The maintenance of Byteball in cryptopia regarding the deposit issue is has been fixed earlier on this day and you guys now can continue trading with them. Hopefully, this would be the last issue about byteball or any other coin out there so that they will regain the tarnished image they had from some of their users.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Staying away from Bitcoin for 5 years on: May 11, 2018, 04:51:42 PM
The way Bitcoin is going, $1000 to $20,000 and then to $6,500 and all the bans worldwide and Bitcoin used in many kinds of criminal activities.

I will come back to Bitcoin after 5 years. If Bitcoin is there, it will go the silver way. Just as Silver was $80/ounce in 1980, Bitcoin can go back to $400.
The way you've been posting seems like you still don't believe in the potential of bitcoin despite the months since you joined the forum. You should know by know how bitcoin's price moves in the market and if you will stay away for 5 years in bitcoin, might as well buy a portion of it so in the end you will not regret and make another thread about your stupid decision.
107  Other / Meta / Re: Admins cleaning out the rubbish threads? on: May 11, 2018, 04:45:51 PM
It's good news. I've noticed that some posters are starting to get aggresive towards the unintelligible spammers, and that isn't good for the forum. The next stage will be to get the bounty managers to do the moderation, or get fined for the extra work they create for the mods.
Agreed! This one has been discussed here in the forum quite a few times for now and I hope this will be implemented soon as the majority of spammers are participants of the signature campaigns. This would, in fact, have a great impact in the forum IMO because it will be hard for them to be accepted in any signature campaigns anymore.
108  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion in need: "Report to moderator" on: May 11, 2018, 04:37:31 PM

I'm considering opening a thread with guidelines for the everyone wanting to report. Different approaches I use to detect spam, copy/pasting etc. also to exchange ideas and techniques.

I would very much appreciate it if you open a thread about that as I've been wanting to be more helpful in the forum by reporting users the I stumbled upon which happens to be a spammer and plagiarizing.

Will it be too much of a workload for the mod or maybe we can implement it in the system that whenever we use the "Report to moderator" button and it got resolved, we will get a notification through our emails, saying something like "it has been taken care of" or is the "You have reported # posts with 100% accuracy" says that it is already taken care of?
109  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BOUNTY MANAGERS na may negative trust on: May 11, 2018, 04:12:18 PM
1. Organized sa spreadsheets - eto talaga una kong tinitignan kasi pag maayos at malinis ang spreadsheet, most likely okay sya.
2. Walang nega trust

110  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Paraan para iwas HACK on: May 11, 2018, 04:03:50 PM
Wink
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Not a good time to buy, according to this source on: May 11, 2018, 02:59:43 PM
-snip-

Still shit whales giving troubles to bitcoin and other cryptos in the market. Whenver I think to invest my fiat cash on crypto currencies. I just wait for little dump and then invest on it. I have thought like bitcoin will rule the world and then we can find the one BTC rate as 100k in 10 years.
To see it as long time investment, BTC is really worth option to invest our money.
If we worry and panic investors, we will loose the profit for sure. Don't give damn to news or article being published on online.

Well, we can't do anything about that. There is a reason why they are called whales tho and unfortunately for us, the only thing we could do is to be patient as much as possible and hold out to our cryptos while they go manipulate the price in the market.

Seeing the price dumping right now, you should invest again in bitcoin just as how you said it.  Grin
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Am I the only one? [Cryptopia exchange][SOLVED] on: May 11, 2018, 02:53:13 PM
Good news everyone! Cryptopia fixed the problem regarding the deposit issue in Byteball in their platform earlier this day. We can now continue trading in their exchange but as for my case, I guess it will take me some time to use their platform again. It seems that their new update with regards on improving their support function just got implemented 3 days after I made my ticket and when I created another ticket again, I got a quick response and they already resolved the issue. Maybe my first ticket got flooded in the queue in their database through the old system of support.
113  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to earn merit? on: May 10, 2018, 04:25:57 PM

Suggestion to the OP, they can make it an advice if they wish for that's what it is:
OP, just write your posts like there isn't a prize to be won and you would be alright. Just make them constructive to inform and teach others and the Merit may come in.
For starters, since he is still a low-ranking member, it may be better if he will post for the sake of merit in mind. That way he will exert more effort and thought in his posts and dozens of those will make him get used to it and he can post whatever he wants without thinking for the sake of merit but the quality of posts will still be there since he got used in posting that way.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Not a good time to buy, according to this source on: May 10, 2018, 04:07:57 PM
IMO, engagement or adaptation is one thing that we should be having right now to get the price pumping again but as he said in his article that  they saw a 2.2% on new users creating a bitcoin wallet to purchase last month, it may be one of the reasons why the price of bitcoin is struggling to get out of $10,000 mark. But if we could make the price grow on our own resulting into good news being spread all around the media, it would entice new users again to the crypto world.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Am I the only one? [Cryptopia exchange] on: May 10, 2018, 03:29:31 PM
I should read this topic before I used cryptopia, cause I have the same problem. I sent token to my deposit and still no updates. I wrote to the support but I think they answer slowly. Anyway after using Etherdelta I thought that this is the worst exchange, but now  I changed my mind about DEX. Of course they have awful usability but they don't have problems with deposit or withdraw funds.
I sent not so much tokens and this is only one good news. I can say that was my first and maybe last transaction on that exchange.
What issues did you have with cryptopia? I mean, what coin did you have deposit problems with? Great for you that they fixed it immediately. I've been waiting for almost 2 weeks to get my problems fixed but still no luck. Currently, I can't create another support ticket to them and I was wondering why. I really want to do a follow up with them.
116  Other / Meta / Re: System of nMerit on: May 10, 2018, 04:20:05 AM
-snip-
You are missing the point of @actmyname. Many members can take the nMerit personally to other users and target users who they want to give those nMerits to.

Also, with current workload of moderators, they are busy as it is and adding more workload for them like reviewing the nMertis received by a specific member is not necessary.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: can you imagine bitcoin as your prime currency. on: May 09, 2018, 02:36:17 PM
Every one has his own speculation about bitcoin every ideas matter. Guys what's yours.
No, I can't consider bitcoin to be a currency that I will more often use than my local fiat money. Seeing as how it behaves in the market, it is a risk and a double edge sword if I will do so. I'd rather use physical money on my transactions. Maybe if I will see a more stable movement of bitcoin and fewer fluctuations, it can go hand in hand with fiat.
118  Other / Meta / Re: What if that happens? on: May 07, 2018, 04:32:32 PM
~snip~
The only situation that could lead to that suspicions is, if there are a trade of merits occurred between the accounts involved. We can trace back the merit to its original high ranking account but it will be unlikely to happen as they became smart and they know that it could be trace this way.

People should lose the merit if the post is deleted for whatever reason. Allowing it is just ripe for abuse as people can just merit shitposts or posts that are in fact copy and pasted then delete to hide the evidence.

This idea is the best solution that will solve these cases.
119  Other / Meta / Re: Combine merit abuse with delete post and you are good to go on: May 07, 2018, 04:21:47 PM

It's impossible to delete an account by forum moderator. They can just ban a user. I think merit abuse is not on the list of crime that punishable by ban? I found some merit abuse thread such as giveaway of merit for every correct answer for trivia question.
Maybe in your point of view, the giveaway of merit for answering questions is a form merit abuse but for most of us, it is not. Actually, it is a great way to motivate other shitposter/spammers to put in a lot of effort and thought in their posts knowing that they will surely get a merit assuming they answer the question correctly. Moreover, they will understand the topic they researched on and will help them to contribute even better in the forum.
120  Other / Meta / Re: Combine merit abuse with delete post and you are good to go on: May 07, 2018, 12:36:10 PM
This is the topic I recently created.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3608077.msg36548849#msg36548849

That is what I am talking about there and you found a good example. We can't say that the thread he posted it in just got deleted or not, but assuming that many posts is deleted, maybe it is one of his own replies and it got deleted?
