The announcement lists the launch of a BridgeCoin exchange as the initial milestone.
As we've already mentioned, this platform is currently under heavy development. When it's released in its beta version (in a few weeks), it will allow trading of BCO against other cryptocurrencies. We do not intend to add it to other exchanges at this time. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme, so please be patient and allow for the development to take its course.

Dear BitPotus, this is your second strike in trying to defame our project with baseless accusations. Insults and personal attacks will also not be tolerated. On strike three, all your existing and future posts will be removed.

As for the accusation - this project as well as its team members are not related to any other altcoin development project.
We will also try to recompile Windows binaries with (original Litecoin) mining code removed, so it doesn't trigger such false warnings.

This is a false positive. Three of the reports say it's a bitcoin miner which is technically true. If you don't trust us, compile it from source and you'll get the exact same windows binaries (cross compile from ubuntu).

The reason why we created a non-premined and non-ICO coin was to finance our business idea. An ICO is an incalculable risk and can be considered illegal in the United States and other countries, thus creating a public mineable coin and also mining yourself as a project founder is the only way of staying legal. We think it is important that a mineable coin is fairly distributed to early adopters.

Our development team and our marketing team (on hold until devs finish the platform) are all aware of the situation and are happy to work for free until market price discovery actually pays for our time. We are very convinced that the product we are creating has actual and real value and the free market will honor that.

Humble apologies for our lack in communication - we're very hard at work to reach our first milestones. Unlike others, we prefer not to over-promise things, and we'd rather wait for development of the planned features to be actually done. We expect to announce the final business plan and have news regarding our exchange platform in about 2-3 weeks.

In the meantime, we can only suggest that you keep mining and keep the faith, as some of you already have. Something great is coming!

We provide access to established cryptocurrencies while also allowing you to discover and trade up-and-coming tokens and altcoins in a variety of different trading pairs. CryptoBridge has over 12 dedicated nodes and the network is steadily growing to ensure a lightning-quick and seamless trading experience.

CryptoBridge's target audience are altcoin traders who are weary of non-blockchain-based cryptocurrency trading platforms: riddled with performance problems, subject to thefts, manipulation, hacking incidents and government take-downs.

All deposits, withdrawals and all order books are transparently stored on the blockchain. Each client holds the private keys to their BitShares wallet.

The BitShares blockchain can process up to 100,000 transactions per second and has an average confirmation time of just 3 seconds and offers a complete API for any interested party to build applications on top of it.

Funding: No ICO - why we created an altcoin instead

To develop a platform like described above, the team chose a unique path: we created an altcoin to fund the development of a software platform: BridgeCoin.

Per the latest SEC publication it is certain that any token sale (ICO) that promises future returns can be considered illegal in the US. Though we are not from the US we would still like to stay legal under most jurisdictions and a public mineable cryptocurrency is exempt from such regulation. A fair distribution was guaranteed with the non-premined and no-ICO approach.

The founders of CryptoBridge mined BridgeCoin fairly along with anyone else who wished to. The market value of BridgeCoin was sufficient to finance the initial development of the full application. Since that time, we began to distribute 50% of all trading revenues to BridgeCoin stakers!

CryptoBridge now requires US users to submit user verification for deposit and withdrawal functionality.
