101  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am quitting ICO's on: December 06, 2018, 04:13:12 PM
I decided to quit ICO's. From December till now I invested about 5 eth into several ICO's. Invest what you can miss, this is what was able to miss.

Right now the first few of my ICO's have reached the exchanges. Most are under performing, but this is related to the overall dip (can be read everywhere). I understand, but ICO token economics have changed also.

  • massive hardcaps
  • most is sold in pre-sale to big investors, leaving scraps for crowdsale
  • much attention to marketing, less to working product or realistic time lines
  • immediately available on EtherDelta and IDEX, sure sign of little interest in token economics/future
  • no lock on pre-sale tokens, whales take their x2, x3 or x-whatever as soon as possible (I would probably have done the same). Prices drop to below ICO price.
  • too many ICO's without distinctive differences.
  • too many ICO's in general
  • too much tokens reserved for team/marketing
  • many ICO's don't even have a crowdsale anymore (which perhaps is a good thing as the little investors are protected this way)
  • ICO prizes are quite high. 1eth = 1000/4000 tokens is pretty common, but with a hc of 40 million, this will not easily go x10 or more.

I was 'unlucky' to miss out on a few ICO's besides the ones I was able to participate in. Afterwards I am glad, since I was able to pick most up at a fraction of the ICO price.

Important as ever: DYOR as not all ICO's have a genuine solution to a genuine problem. Some may seem like a fantastic solution, but often it is marketing combined with a strong team, and not so much a great working product.

And who am I? I am definitely a nobody Tongue, but still wanted to share my experiences and perhaps save people from thinking of getting on board of the next x100 ICO Smiley

p.s. when a Telegram has over 20k subscribers all screaming 'when lambo' with endless rows of animated gifs, you may also wonder if this is a serious block chain solution which will revolutionize 'x' Smiley

As per the research report i read on LinkedIn someone posted it few months ago he mentioned that 85% icos are just for raising money and they don't have potential product for future development and for benefits for stakeholders.. one more thing most of ICOs do not able to give any profit from investment. that's why I don't want to invest in any of ICO.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cyptocurrency never be great again as it was? on: December 05, 2018, 06:13:15 PM
According to me there is high probability to gain market again but it will take some time because we have seen right now market is in bearish state and many of economist predict that crypto will come into normal stage very soon..It takes time because of controversy is going on ETF regulation that's why people create a risky image in their mind.. BuT be positive and keep investing.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Central Banks? on: December 05, 2018, 06:07:29 PM
Yes we must need central bank in order to regulate fiat currency, inflammation control, liquidity and supply of fiat. Central bank has authority over all banks inside the country if there is no centralised bank than system will become decentralised and there will no one to control interest rates, repo rate and others aspect that could be taken by central bank.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: December 05, 2018, 06:04:00 PM
I don't think that govt threatened by Crypto even govt. is looking for opportunity for where they will implement it and how they will regulates it. there are some countries where govt strongly denied the Crypto inside the country but neglect those countries, see countries like japan, UsA, south korea, thailand and many others where Crypto is regulated.. and govt earn taxes from it.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam projects, what should we do! on: December 04, 2018, 05:06:31 PM
the only thing we can do is avoid these kind of projects because there is no authority whom you can complaint about it. Even we can't reverse our money back once it has sent to someone.
Few days ago i was gone through post which was made by someone on LinkedIn he told that more than 80% ICOs are scam so be careful while you think about investment into ICO.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet do you use for storing ERC-20 token? on: December 03, 2018, 04:54:28 PM
I am using MEW for storing ERC 20 currencies because I find MEW is more secured than any other. If you don't believe me than you will try and see that in how many login option MEW gives us. There more than 10 Types of way it is giving to access of our account it is your wish which option you want to use.. I personally use private key and i sync it with metamask extension. It is very easy to use..
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any chance of having one global currency? on: December 03, 2018, 05:00:13 AM
If you talk about one the digital currency purpose than it won't be good idea because as we know virtual currency has limited supply for particular coin after some time there will no generation of particular coin.. And when we talk about fiat currency (single currency) Than we must have in our mind that there is three kinds of nation in world.
Developed
Developing
Under develop
So If there is single currency in the world than there will be more dominate power of developed nation over others, There will be dictatorship in terms of giving loans and all that things. One thing more printing and supply of notes would be issue .
108  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you feel about market regulation? on: November 30, 2018, 05:44:27 PM
Yes market regulation should be there so people trust factor will increase toward crypto, now we have wallets and exchanges but none of them are regulated if something fraud happen than whom will be report. Like in banks we have money stored if something happen than we will have bank manager, than ombudsman or we have main Central bank to resolve the issue.
Also in commodity trading market controlled by central authority to make the trust factor in between the people and ensure fraud free trading. But In crypto trading we have not seen any exchanges which offer by government of any countries these all are private exchanges..
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first risk-free ICO with money back guarantee on: November 30, 2018, 05:29:26 PM
Which ICO come up with this idea for money back guarantee ?
I have know some of ICOs which Gave money back because they have were not able to develop product for which they were looking for..But they were given back to all Investors money using their smart contract..
And there is also one ICO going on which offers token buy back Jinbi token at fixed price, i don't know whether it is legit or not but it is mentioned in there website.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Ask "Time To Buy" "HOLD or SELL" "Right time to entry" on: November 30, 2018, 05:24:08 PM
Yes there is no time to hold or sell because prices are not fixed at all. Yesterday bitcoin was about 4400 USD i thought it get higher again but today it has again gone to 4000 USD. That does not make any sense to make any prediction..
But if you really concern about ICO tokens than I would prefer sell it because i don't find ICO tokens any future because of bitcoin dominance.
111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term vs. Long term investments on: November 30, 2018, 05:19:55 PM
To be honest i would prefer short term if i invest in Crypto market because it is full of uncertainties and constraints. Predictions are not working in it. but i wanna invest into regulated market than i would prefer long term because there are such example of people who got rich because of holding shares for more than 10 years. Even we can find Crypto investors who hold Crypto for long term but current scenario it is very different because of controversy it is facing.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto adoption on: November 30, 2018, 05:13:56 PM
Crypto adoption can't be easy task in developing countries because they are not even complete digital payment yet Crypto payment is very far. In most of developed countries we have seen Crypto is very popular and these countries also encourage Crypto by regulating it.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 7 Reasons why you don’t play blockchain games on: November 29, 2018, 05:13:36 PM
Blockchain games are not profitable at all. To be honest when i joined crypto world i entered through crypto games and i wasted approx 10 months but nothing won. Most of blockchain games are not legit at all even everything has scripted already even at the backend bots are playing with you. They will not given to chance of earn money. Here some reasons
1.  most of blockchain games are played by bots backend.
2.  They are not probably fair games.
3.   It is game of luck sometimes people can win money but very less chances.
4.   No authority over it. if fraud happen than no one will listen you .
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Apart from trading where else to use crypto? on: November 29, 2018, 05:05:35 PM
Crypto has vast number of applications other than trading but there are few countries which actually implement crypto for buying goods and services. But can you imagine how crypto currency can be beneficial for company, companies can use it as monthly wages if employees allow it. But right now Crypto is just seen as an asset which is traded on exchanges and converted into fiat but in future we will see many uses of crypto
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with fake exchanges on: November 29, 2018, 10:00:03 AM
We have to be careful when comes on money like as year ago there was website same name as binance with having upper two dots on 'n' People got confuse with it and they had lost so much money.. When We talk about fake exchanges there are some exchanges which are into working phase but they have added any coin into the platform even there is no support at all. This is not make sense for use users of particular exchange.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: centralize money vs. decetralized money (bitcoin) on: November 29, 2018, 09:55:57 AM
When we say decentralised money that's there is no existence of particular money in the system because there is no authority who can control the liquidity of the decentralised money. one the other hand fiat money has authority (central bank) who has control over the supply and liquidity of the fiat.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people were into bitcoin in 2009? on: November 28, 2018, 03:15:30 PM
I heard somewhere in 2011 when bitcoin price was 0.1 USD than someone from silicon valley USA invested into bitcoin and grabbed most of shares.
You could imagine silicon valley people had found potential of bitcoin in 8 years ago.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do bounty hunters become ICO investors? on: November 28, 2018, 03:06:15 PM
According to me bounty hunters can be converted into ICO investors if they find any good and promising project. There are certain conditions in which bounty hunters do become ICO investors.
1. If they have enough money.
2. If they get payment from last bounty they participated.
But on the other hand bounty hunters are already ICO investors because they are investing their time in the success of ICO for example they shared ICO on facebook, twitter and through signature wearing.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do You looking for in ICO? on: November 27, 2018, 03:40:36 PM
I view ICO in 4 different ways and give weighting average.
*Team
* Product
* Token utility
* Future scope
as we know Team is always be backbone of any project after that product come, if product is not good than project will die and not grow to the higher extent. after that token usage come where it will be going to be used and after that future come where team think roadmap .
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain and AI will improve the world economy on: November 27, 2018, 07:42:00 AM
Since the inception of the blockchain with Bitcoin in 2009, there has been a huge interest from governments, and central banks alike to design their own centralized digital fiat currency for their benefit. Given the security benefits and efficiencies that the blockchain provides, it would be used well in conjunction with AI technology, to transform the global economy in ways we've never thought possible.

As such, there could be a future where everything is managed by AI and the blockchain would serve as the security and settlement layer for any kind of transaction. A one world currency might become a reality where it is backed by all the banks and governments alike. If this happens, then true autonomy would become established enabling everyday devices to operate on their own and "monetize" themselves via the use of a single unified global currency which operates on a blockchain.

Therefore, both the blockchain and AI will have a huge impact in our world economy, and every aspect of our lives as we know it. Of course, this might take quite a few years to happen, but the benefits provided by such technologies would be too hard to ignore.

What are your thoughts about this? Will both Blockchain and AI improve the world's economy?  Huh

Well Both are very new technology in the world but do you know for implementation of both technologies we need strong regulations. That's why most of the nations govt. are firstly focusing on the rules and regulation before consider blockchain into the system.
NO doubt Both technologies have potential to help into the growth of economy but we have not seen any single example of any country that shows any economy growth because of Blockchain technology.
