Can you help me please
How to change password in nvOC?

Hi,

What password you want to change ?
Root password or login password ?

For login password just type "passwd"
For root, u have to log root first so "su" and when u are root user "passwd"

Please correct me if I wrong, To make a changes in nvOC I need a password
so that's what I want to change

You would think after all this mixed card BS & hassle with Windows people would just use Linux. I don't get it.. To those using windows: If you just tried Linux you'd never go back Wink

I second that
It isn't really any more difficult than Windows
 Cool

Right?! Plus I see all these videos or screenshots of people using Windows & they just have a terminal open.. Why not just start with that? Tongue

My miners have Ubuntu 16.04/nvOC as the only operating system
no Windows at all

btw Windows has limitation of 8 GPU, Linux Ubuntu limitation - 16GPU Wink

Interesting who will make first OS to run one MoBo with 19xGPU
 Huh
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASrock H110 Pro BTC+ 13 GPU Board on: August 25, 2017, 08:30:55 AM
this motherboard if use 13gpu need to use how many DDR4 Ram?
DDR4 8GB enuf??or need use 16gb

4G is enough for 8 cards, so 8GB should be enough for 13 GPU.

I run 13xGTX1080 with 4GB RAM (nvOC v0018)
and it never use more then 2.9GB of memory.

nvOC
I second that because nvOC works great and it's for free
Windows has limitation - 8 GPU so if you'll decide to scale up each rig
for example up to 13 GPU, you have to go with Linux (nvOC) anyway

btw You will save few hundred dollars if you build just one 12 GPU rig
with ASRock H110 Pro BTC+

Fellow miners,

this is the build I use with my Nvidia 1000 series rigs.  I am providing it to the community 100% free, with no fees (from me at least):
Genoil has no fee; Claymore's miner has a fee; EWBF v0.3.4 has a fee; while v0.3.3 defaults to 0 fee.

Please Note:
I don't have any Maxwell cards, so I didn't test them.  According to Nvidia, the driver should support them as well.  I'm not sure if nvOC (as is) can support Maxwell Cards.

nvOC is a customized Ubuntu 16.04 build with Nvidia individual card OC and individual card powerlimit support, manual fan support, auto launching on boot, and a single easy to configure Bash Script (1bash) which can be configured from a windows pc using wordpad.

nvOC is easy-to-use and supports mining (with the newest 1bash):

DMD     GRS  ZPOOL_LYRA2V2   ZPOOL_BLAKE2S
ZEC     ZCOIN  HUSH   ZEN  ZCL
NICE_ETHASH     ETH    MUSIC  ETC  EXP  DCR  PASC
MONA     VTC    DGB    SIA  FTC  LBC
DUAL_ETC_DCR     DUAL_ETC_PASC  DUAL_ETC_LBC  DUAL_ETC_SC
DUAL_EXP_DCR     DUAL_EXP_PASC  DUAL_EXP_LBC  DUAL_EXP_SC
DUAL_ETH_DCR     DUAL_ETH_PASC  DUAL_ETH_LBC  DUAL_ETH_SC
DUAL_MUSIC_DCR     DUAL_MUSIC_PASC   DUAL_MUSIC_LBC   DUAL_MUSIC_SC

Just in case someone wondering
my rig 10xGTX1070, PSU 2xEVGA G2 1000W, pl130 cc150 mc360 nvOC v0018 latest,
Maximus temp control auto - 70C, SSH/SRR/Team Viewer - disabled
works good
are you using the biostar mb?

No my MoBo is ASRock H110 Pro BTC+
and I've set up LOCALorREMOTE to "LOCAL" as well

Hi fullzero.

I've come across another problem related to p106-100 cards which is the following :

Been running 11 cards on h110 asrock and then tried to connect 12th one and everytime I do it Nvidia drivers seem to crash no matter what I do. It's not a hardware problem as I have tested this card in 11 cards set up and everything boots fine, just the 12th one seem to crash everything and I have to reflash the OS again to make it work. When I try with fresh OS and 12 cards its the same problem again, the nvidia-smi file isn't found and the claymore can't initialize CUDA drivers .

Has anyone seen this before and maybe knows the way to deal with this? Maybe I need to correct something in 1bash to make it work but so far all my tries were a failure and the miner couldn't find drivers.

Thanks for your help.

Don't know is that's the problem or not
but I hope it'l help

H110 Pro BTC+ has 5 power connectors
ATX power 1 (4)
ATX 12V (1)
MOLEX 1 (21)
MOLEX 2 (19)
SATA power 1 (18)

ASRock in their manual  (page 20) suggest to connect them to power supply

Hi!
I'm about to build a rig with Pentium G4400.
But after reading about Skylake issues with hyper threading don't know
should I use it or better to return and exchange it with i3?
i have a rig runs 8 cards with G3900, no problem.

I have a rig with G3900 and 10 cards, but it seems that the G3900 is bottlenecking the system. First core uses 100%, the other around 20%.

Is there a way to split the workload on both cores (If I could run EWBF miner in two terminals or is there some other way)?

Can somebody please help me, i'm a noob in linux.

nvOC is a great system. Thanks for all the work.

I tried opening two miners in two screens with some change in 1bash:

screen -dmS minerX1 $HCD --eexit 3 --fee $EWBF_PERCENT --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 4 --pec --server $ZEC_POOL --user $ZECADDR --pass z --port $ZEC_PORT;
screen -dmS minerX2 $HCD --eexit 3 --fee $EWBF_PERCENT --cuda_devices 5 6 7 8 9 --pec --server $ZEC_POOL --user $ZECADDR --pass z --port $ZEC_PORT;

After the change there are two processes in System monitor, but CPU usage is still the same (100% one core, 20% second core).

Is it possible that System monitor doesn't show the correct CPU utilization?
Will it help if I change the CPU from G3900 to i3 or perhaps i5?

Fullzero, I see You have 13 GPUs on Asrock H110 PRO BTC (I am using the same motherboard). What kind of CPU do you have so that everything is working smoothly?

Using a kabylake i5;

I'm making another 13x rig soon with a g4560; I'll let you know if it works well as well.

Thanks for the info. I will buy an i5. It looks like the G3900 is not strong enough.
Regarding g4560: Is the Intel HyperThreading Bug fixed for ASrock H110 PRO BTC by default?

And thanks for all the work on nvOC and great support by you and all the other forum members.

g4560 works as well.

I don't believe the H110 chipset has the HT bug; but I could be wrong.  I also haven't tested with a skylake CPU.  If one is buying a new CPU for this mobo; I recommend using a Kabylake g4560 or higher as it will unlock 2400 for ram.

Hi!
Since Intel H110 chipset is a Skylake
would it work more stable with Skylake CPU (like Intel Core i3-6100 for example)?

Another thing which confused me - Intel on their page stated that H110 supports Max 6 PCIe lines and doesn't support overcloking (CPU?!)
https://ark.intel.com/products/90590/Intel-H110-Chipset

Can you please share your thoughts on this

Sorry for probably dummy question but I'll ask anyway
When I change parameters in 1bash like pl,cc or memory clock
how I can restart terminal without rebooting Ubuntu?

First off all THANK YOU Fullzero for nvOC v0018!
Simply love it!

I have a question - WhatToMine shows great rev for DGB-Groestl (DGB), but I can not mine DGB with Myriad-Groestl algo
It always trying to mine with Skein algo.
If I'm not mistaken nvOC has this algo for Diamond(DMD)
so, how DGB-Groestl could be mined?

I will add this to the list.

Thank man I will appreciate this!
Can you also add Lbry for claymore dual mining?

U can dual ETH / LBRY, the coin name of LBRY is LBC, so just use DUAL_ETH_LBC.
Fullzero and the other primary free worker on this put a lot of work and have a lot to do. Read before ask ...

My apology.
Didn't know that LBRY and LBC same coin
thx for the answer!
