I think that there is not one right decision. If you are experienced trader you could do both of this things but if not you should only hold your coins for a long term period or you will lose all your money at trading.

Of course you are right! Everyone in cryptocommunity should know that 95 % of Altcoins is shitcoins which market do not needed. We have to understand that blockchain will not be used in every field, it has limited features that could just improve something of it.
I do not think that any altcoin will do 2x or 3x this year but I think that some altcoins will show us positive dinamic. In my opinion EOS will increase this year for sure. Maybe we will see increasing of Stellar and IOTA but I am not sure.
There is not any altcoin in which I believe in 100%. I very like EOS, Stellar and IOTA and I sure that this coins will not turn to shitcoins. But I could not guarantee in 100% that any of that project will be successful.

It is highly predictable that Buterin will not leave such successful project. Especially that we know that he has a big amount of Ether and if it will leave, his capital will decrease because of decreasing of value of Ether.
I think crypto is just a useful technology that could make some field of economy more simply or more safety. Decentralization is a good thing but we need a balance between centralization and decentralization and actually we did not find it.
I think educational programs will help us to solve this problem. Cryptocurrency investors should know how to evaluate startups like it do professionals from venture investments business. Another decision is Kickstarter.
Because it is not a hard work and it do not need professional skills. And it is hard to say that it is work at all. It takes maximum one hour per week and if for example you work for a project for a 12 weeks and you get minimum 240 usd (for bitcointalk bounty) your salary is 20 usd per hour! It is 5-10 times more than you could yearn for unqualified job in countries like Russia or China.

I have just looked at his Twitter and I did not see that tweet. Maybe you found it in fake account. And there is not causes for that, Ethereum is the great project and it will be alive. In media activity of Buterin I see that he is interested in Ethereum.
I think that if crowdsales will remain decentralized we will see a lot of scam projects again and again. We need more centralization for quality control like it is in Kickstarter. Decentralization is good for payments but is not so good for investments.
I think that investment in crypto assets is an interesting game of chance for most of investors and the only advice that I could give to novices in that game: forget about the money which you change to crypto and have a good time!
I used okex to exchange Ethereum to EOS. Then to withdraw coins you should create your account in EOS mainnet and I think that this step is the most inconvenient that I saw in crypto-industry.
I think that waves could not compete Ethereum at all for that reasons: - it has very low functionality; - it has many limits of usage; - we did not see the popular applications build on that platform and we did not know how they solve the scalability problems.
Ethereum is a great project but there is another projects which has much better features and could win the race. But I think that Ethereum has a great team and a great community and it will survive for sure.
I think similar, cryptocurrency market will increase at the end of the year but we will not see that Bitcoin will do 8-10x as it was last year. May be some altcoins will show this result but in q1 2019 we may see decreasing of the whole crypto assets.
I disagree with you about Ripple. It is much more centralized than Ethereum but it is much more convenient. It has not the problems with scaling or long time of transaction and it has bigger chance to become cryptocurrency number one.
Of course it is true. I agree with all the words you write. Novices have much less knowledge about cryptocurrency field than the people who is working here even for a one year. But it is very important to not loose all money before you will become experienced.
Now the bounty mechanism is working that way: if you could not recognize scam project you will earn very small amount of money or even nothing. So the good bounty hunter never participates in scam projects.
There is many people who has different vision on the cryptocurrency. And if one have an instrument for creating his own coin, he will obviously create it. Why he should deny himself the pleasure of creating a new cryptocurrency?
I look at the team and especially at founders. Everyone today has a social network profile, and if we see in whitepapper that founder was working with some project for a long time but we could not find enough information about that project in social media, that means that either this founder has a small experience in advertising his project or this project even did not exist. So I try to avoid projects like this.
