Yahoo said the campaign ended last week, pay more attention to the projects you guys are being paid to advertise . He's one of the best and most well known managers in the forum, the odds of him scamming you is nearly 0 - why would he damage his reputation like that over a meaningless amount of btc?

Many coins have been launched without ICOs - it's not a "must use" method of crowdfunding/gathering resources. A recent example is Ethfinex, who isn't going to offer an ICO to launch its product... More projects should do this, it's way more legitimate in my opinion!

Do you believe it can eventually bring down the Facebook monopoly on social media? If you, its probably the best investment EVER. In reality though, it won't and no one is going to use their platform (even Google had a massive failure with Google +) - so the coin is going nowhere. It still holds some value because we're in a very speculative market, but you won't be seeing REDD in the next few years in my opinion.

It all depends on the mass adoption of the coin. Right now it there needs to be a solution to the scalability problem before the coin can really take off (all the coins need to find solutions for themselves really). Another issue that might hinder bitcoin's growth is all the political fighting... But i think eventually the best crypto will win in the end.

With 50k i would invest into coins rather than mining. The reason for that is pretty simple: electricity is very expensive where i live (much more expensive than the avg people from other countries pay) - so my ROI would be lower and there's always the risk of difficulty increasing, turning my farm/rigs obsolete in a very short time span. By buying coins i would be safer from these external sources and would only rely on the crypto market itself.
