101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: August 21, 2017, 09:08:22 AM
Bitcoin is money. But not the typical money that we know. It is an online money used to buy stuff on a peer-to-peer basis. This will be the future of commerce, digital transactions.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 20, 2017, 03:35:59 PM
There is no such thing as too late to buy a very young invention that has a very wide and bright future ahead. I am not looking at the price right now as the highest. So buying today is still on time.

104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: August 14, 2017, 08:20:18 AM
Hi,

Even just a year ago bitcoin was useable... now the fees are about 10x what the banks charge. Seems like its changing from a peer-to-peer money system for everyone into yet another convenient way for rich people to exchange funds!

What went wrong> And more to the point, who is responsible? What can be done to fix it?
Thanks
Andy

I think this has improved a significant lot already. This was posted during the times when the transaction fees go really outrageous.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 13, 2017, 02:29:04 AM
Banks will never start a war against Bitcoin. I think The banks will find a way to use Bitcoin in their favor. Banks love money, no matter where they come from.

That is right. The banks are flexible themselves and can very much adapt to the call of the times.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: August 12, 2017, 05:13:11 PM
The era to which bitcoin belongs is the digital era. There is no other digital coin right now that is as trusted as bitcoin. And so there is no other coin in the new era but bitcoin.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BTC on: August 12, 2017, 05:50:16 AM
Hello!

I'm not new to Bitcoin I've been using it since 2015 as a wallet since it has no limitations.
After the new record of BTC price I'm really confused, It increased about $1k in less than 1 month which seems suspicious.
I'm thinking of investing some money on BTC and hold them for at least 3 years or more.
But is it a good idea? have any of you made good profit with holding BTC?
Like tell me what do you think of the future of BTC rates, how high could it reach?

with my best regards..

If you try to compute the growth, do you think you won't be making any profit? Bitcoin has large strides. We are approaching $4000 right now.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Satoshi Emails on: August 12, 2017, 01:38:19 AM
It is fun reading the letters of the great founder himself. Like, it was only a kind of a small idea before and look at it right now. The idea has gotten so really really huge and became a reality even geniuses stunned in awe.

I stumbled upon Ripple in one of Satoshi's email. What does it refer to? Thanks!
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Uber on: August 11, 2017, 02:28:37 PM
Meanwhile, bitcoin just got integrated with Uber for tipping drivers. Isn't that a good news?

Wow! And that is for tipping the Uber drivers? That sounds really a breakthrough idea. In the end, the tip will be more valuable than the fare itself.  Grin
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it worth to buy Waves now? on: August 09, 2017, 07:31:06 AM
One of my friend has told me that the price of waves in increasing much faster and we can easily double up multiple times our money with it and told me that buy it as much as possible. I want to ask from you people who are expert that is it possible for it to increase in value?

I see no problem why you will not buy waves today. It is going stronger and stronger and people are already lining up for their waves share. I am not an expert, but in comparison to so many other shitcoins, waves is much better than them.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is amazing on: August 08, 2017, 04:24:05 PM
Hi guys,
I been sort of a enthusiast and involved in crypto since 2013 I think. I haven't been that active until last month when I really put tons of hours reading and catching up.
I have talked so much about crypto with family members that they ask me to save some funds for them in crypto and I believe BTC is the safest bet. I got some at 2700 but the price is going up like crazy, usually there is a correction but it seems BTC has a rocket in its behind Smiley
My question is for long term is it better to wait or is the price going to keep rising. Maybe we have a new bottom?
I know it's speculation but curious what people are thinking.

Other than that I'm glad to be a part of this great technology and promoting it.

This will continue on and on until it reaches a 5-figure price. But of course, we should be expecting some ups and downs along the way. That is very normal.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: August 08, 2017, 01:22:36 PM
I am planning to buy some just for holding. This will not be for fun basically. This will be for future needs of my future life.

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie question about BTC and BCC split... on: August 06, 2017, 04:25:26 AM
Hi there I'm brand spanking new to the forum and I was wondering about something I was reading you guys discussing. I've been reading you can split BTC into BCC and make some kind of "free profit." My question is would it be worth it to a newbie like me to do such a thing or just hang tight? I've been reading mixed things that you can sell BCC and others saying you can't. Would really appreciate some clarification on all this. Thanks!

We are both newbies here. But I think you cannot make a split of your BTC into BCC. There was a split rather and if you are holding BTC in wallets that support the split, you will be credited with a BCC that amounts equally to your stored BTC.
