101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bounties? on: November 24, 2017, 01:53:01 AM
Bounties are offered by ICOs as a way to reward you for promoting/marketing their ICO for them to help them reach a wider audience.

One of the easiest and therefore lowest rewarding bounty for a newbie or jr member(most don't offer much to newbies) here on BTT is a signature bounty campaign. You need to read the rules throughly of each bounty campaign to ensure you meet the requirements. Especially for larger bounty campaigns that require you to repost/retweet/like everything from the ICO etc every week while the ICO is running for example for them to deny you would kind of suck.

Easiest one by far is the signature campaign bounty. I'd recommend that once you hit Jr Member. But if you like an ICO's project and have a good social media audience (usually one of the requirements of any social media bounty) then just read up on them on each ICO's ANN thread to see if its worth your time and effort to complete for the reward you can receive.

If you have time and are multilingual - there are also translation bounties you can reserve and complete.

A few nights ago I completed a validation bounty for a project that involved checking a few Facebook profiles to see the aging of the accounts to ensure they were created prior to a specific date as part of the sign-up rules.

There are also bounties for blogging, vlogging, logo design, etc. Anything and everything the ICO might not have the time or expertise for they can potentially outsource via bounties if they want to.

Once you have been around for a few months these things won't be so unfamiliar.  But just remember, one of your biggest resources - is your time. And its valuable so don't give it away for free Smiley
102  Other / Off-topic / Re: How did you start in CRYPTO WOLRD on: November 23, 2017, 03:07:59 PM
Faucets are one of the lowest paying ways to earn crypto - but they are one of the simplest ways. They are also a great way to learn about crypto before committing to spending your own hard earned cash and still give you exposure to this crazy world.
If you havent already gotten yourself some wallets - the Jaxx mobile multi wallet is a nice one to start with give you a few different alts as well as a btc address. Cryptonator is an online multi wallet also. But I wouldnt store large amounts of currency in either of these as they are not as secure as a wallet you create with a seed/passphrase etc.
If trading seems a bit "kkkeeeekekkk" (it still is for me after spending 5 minutes on etherdelta lol) some places to help you without having to spend hours trying to claim from faucets would be the CoinPot faucets for btc, ltc, doge and dash (moondash.co.in or moondoge etc) it has a no-timer claim, you can use your cpu to mine those currencies as well as bch, and convert the coins to one coin for free after they have built up a little. Its free to transfer them out also.
Another place to go is Eobot. It has a daily faucet and your can send altcoins from coinpot to it and start running the miner program. Its a cloud mining service and if you can fund it with a few coins here and there and the daily faucet claim you can generate a little free coins.
Other sites that I found fun included FaucetHub and Digital Artists Online and EarnCrypto.

But as Heretik said those sites won't earn you much for your time and effort. Earning 100 satoshis is kind of useless when $10USD can get you 121k btc satoshis and will take 2 minutes of time vs days lol.

Also, some people might be able to capitalise on an overnight success - but crypto's a long game - trying to figure out trading patterns as a beginner will probs give you sleepness nights and cost you too much in fees if u get it wrong - so again following Heretik's advise is pretty much the best investment option. Buy BTC, and a couple of promising alts - keep them in secure wallets you control and HOLD for a few yrs.

103  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone else smoke ecigs now and are glad they switched? on: November 23, 2017, 02:01:43 PM
I was smoking almost 2 packs of cigarettes per day when I made the switch. That was 4 years ago. I believe in vaping so much that I now run 3 vape stores. It's not a magic wand, you do have to put some effort into it, but it does work!

Nice!! I'm too lazy and anti-social for retail, but I like tobacco/vape stores - the dedicated stores I know of always have cool interesting stock to browse through! Thanks for reading and responding too! Cheers
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] | WOMEN COIN | THE ONE AND ONLY FASTEST COIN FOR WOMEN on: November 20, 2017, 05:13:05 AM
Hi there - appreciate the time and effort on this. But your anti-spam check of 0.01 ETH is not that great for those starting out in the crypto world who are exposed to SCAM/SPAM on a daily basis under the guise of an "airdrop" and or those who do not fully want to part with their ETH or have ETH available yet.

I'm interested to see how your project progresses based on your site and roadmap info. Will check you on discord also.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: https://waveswallet.io a scam site? on: November 20, 2017, 04:48:50 AM
No its not a scamsite, but you do need to ensure you correctly note your waves address, seed and passwords for every site or wallet you create.
Waves addresses are case sensitive and something as simple as a space at the end will generate a new wallet account I believe, so if you are doing a wallet copy paste - check that - sorry thats about all I know on issues with it. Good luck and hope you find ur airdrop tokens.

106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinstarter.com (scam?) on: November 20, 2017, 04:33:39 AM
There will always be people that yell scam - and you know sometimes they can be right in their overcautious-ness. I liked the CoinStarter platform though and was always confused about where the negativity came from. I mean - theres way worse sites and airdrop projects out there that people signup to in droves that are obviously not professionally done.

Anyhoo...

The Coinstarter Box looks to be a pretty great idea. For a monthly fee they will deliver new ICO tokens so it could be a nice way to get it on some of the ICO's without the horrendous ICO prices some of them require. For those of us just starting out the 10-20K $$ is not realistic to get in on those promising ICO's just yet - so the CoinstarterBox option is a little more on the new-user friendly side.

And can't say I wasn't happy to use ERC20 wallet over Waves. No specific reason here - just personal pref.

107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Twitter and Telegram usernames on: November 20, 2017, 03:55:32 AM
Could you please elaborate? I dont understand what this has to do with Bitcoin. What currency and where did you hear about an airdrop?

This section is for technical support questions to do with the Bitcoin cryptocurrency only.

This is a beginner/help area - under the "Other" area on the board- so you can ask anything here and someone will hopefully help out.

I used to put the @ but now I don't bother and I still get airdrops ok.
109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Would You Explain Bitcoin to a Newbie? on: November 19, 2017, 01:44:02 PM
Lol, well as a newb still - I tell anyone that asks that Bitcoin is the flagship of the crypto-currency world. And that crypto-currency is digital currency that is created from using dedicated computing power or bought and sold through exchanges just like stocks etc which can either be used for investing in like gold, or used like fiat currency for day to day transactions dependant on the crypto you have. I also tell them that all of this happens semi decentralized from governments and banks depending on your location in the world and that you can use it to move money around the world without traditional forex restrictions.

The responses I have to put up==> all I'm doing is giving my computing power to Russian hackers and that most likely I'm supported drug dealers and terrorists and mobsters and that all my computers are most likely just ovverrun with viruses and that I'll end up paying 10x in power what I can make on mining....

Verdict - don't explain crypto to a group of negative people. Just tell them its an digital asset and if they want in to go research it themselves.

Is there some more information available for the project?
And what differentiates your tokens and projects from others.
Also considering airdrops are becoming nothing more than straight drop and dumps, what measures are you going to take to try and maintain some value for your community?

Hi Devs,

How's the project going? Good luck for Monday. Keep up the good work!

The mobile app is going to be launched first right? Do you have a alpha version under testing now?

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] JSEcoin on: November 15, 2017, 04:13:37 AM
Hi Devs, great to see you here.

I've been using your platform for a few weeks now - and the earning has dropped a lot - but that was to be expected as your project gains more awareness. So its like good news but I wish I could still earn a higher level haha. The self-miner is nice and unobtrusive. I havent got a website to try the website code out on.

Anyhoo - I was just reading your blog as well regarding AV companies viewing browser miners as malware etc and also I myself use Browser Miner blocking extns due to the rampant way "other" browser miners start harvesting your pc resources as soon as you open certain sites.

So while I'm actively supporting this project because it is more transparent and innovative in creating your own coin/script and platform - I feel like your always going to be on the defensive to people who only see browser mining programs as "parasitic leeching programs designed to capture an unaware audience and steal from them" (not my words). I had a stand up argument (almost fisticuffs) with a friend who pretty much called me stupid for using all miners and browser miners if i have to disable any of my PC protection software for them to operate.

Anyways - hopefully you can come up with a great marketing campaign to convince the non-believers that you are not the devil stealing pc power lol.

Good luck!!

Yeh - I'm pretty certain this is the best idea I've heard of for awhile now Smiley

But I do have a few questions... is there really a market for souls? And whats to stop me from selling my soul over and over again...

My souls up for grabs anyways peeps - cos ya know - why not  Kiss Cry Cool
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 💥💥 [ANN][ICO][AIRDROP] ⚡ Bitcoin Quick 🚀 AIRDROP ROUND 2 RUNNING 🚀🚀🚀 on: November 13, 2017, 02:40:15 AM
Airdrop 2 worked fine for me - i decided to do the send gas thing just to check as I saw many ppl stating it wasn't working - and it worked fine - 250BTCQ received within a few minutes.
So its not a scam, its just a token for gas trade rather than a "free" airdrop. Whether or not the tokens turn into something worth the gas cost - well who knows - I'm just gonna hold and forget about em for a bit.

Thanks team for the tokens tho - and good luck - I'll be keeping a eye on your future developments Smiley

Thanks for the airdrop opportunity - email is leeke.mac

As I mentioned on the form - The project website is very professional and informative. I have signed up for the whitelist and look forward to reading more in your full whitepaper to get a better understanding, but I am supportive of the direction you are heading. Keep up the good work guys/gals.
117  Other / Archival / Re: 💥🚀[ANN][ICO] INS ECOSYSTEM - Connecting Consumers and Grocery Manufacturers 🚀 on: November 10, 2017, 12:04:18 PM
Why did you decide to airdrop INSP as a promo token and not just issue a real airdrop to create some value within the community and goodwill? Kind of feels like the local kids been round and dropped off the weekend junkmail... and I have a no junkmail sign on my mailbox......so you know... why does my wallet have this unsolicited promo tool?
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 [ANN][AIRDROP]Genesis Coin | Fast. Secure. Flexible | FREE Airdrop Round 3 🌟 on: November 10, 2017, 11:17:20 AM
The rule is not fair for newbie members with more than a month registration.
Kindly attemd to that.
Thanks.

Its only an airdrop and there are plenty of them happening so you might miss one or 10 - but there are always others. After a month and spending some time building from Newbie to Jr - you won't have to stress about being ruled out of airdrops.
And honestly - i prefer they put some type of bot eliminator in place - so many airdrops get bombed with fake signups that ruin it for those of us who follow the rules anyway its not even worth the sign-up half the time.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRESALE] Xenio Blockchain | 🌟🌟🌟 Decentralized Gaming Blockchain🌟🌟🌟 on: November 08, 2017, 02:17:59 AM
Probably been asked already - but what makes this project differ from other "gaming" blockchain type projects?  From a gamers perspective - i have seen several lately all touting something or another, but what I want to know is - why should I suddenly stop supporting Steam or PS+ for my gaming needs and go with an untested unknown group of ppl.
I know you want investors to take chances - but sadly some of us just need more proof and reasoning before we part with our hard-earned crypto - especially those of us who arrived late to the crypto party and don't have millions/thousands/hundreds or even tens of $$ in bitcoin to throw round.
