101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs Zhilei Zhang JUNE 1 Heavyweight on: June 03, 2024, 09:43:14 AM
And that's good that we won't see this fight as this would've been an embarrassment for Wilder. He used to be good, up until Fury broke his spirit and then he became a guy that can't even get to fight once every 12 months. If you need more than a year to get a fight you're going to go out of shape and time is unforgiving for people in sports.
He's ending a good career with a losing streak and I won't miss him. Wilder always seemed cocky and egoistic and most people didn't like him. His style was also poor, depending on heavy hits in hope for a knockout and he showed this again in this last fight. You could see the skill difference between him and Zhang.

Being in that PBC silo for so long played against him. Wilder thought he could always win by easy knockout against opponents that were selected for him to look good against. He never really bothered trying to improve his technique and when he finally faced somebody that could stand up to him, and punish him in return, it broke him psychologically. At the end of his career he was never able to recover the confidence and ego that made him “The Bronze Bomber”. It’s a depressing way to end things, but now he must move on to the next chapter in his life and enjoy his wealth and spend time with his family.

True, I wouldn't call it a set up fight for him by PBC, but at some point he has to go and face the other champion in the division and it just so happen that Fury is really making a great comeback that time and he took Wilder soul as he was never the same again.

And this fight proved that case, he could have train here, but if his mind is no longer in boxing and wanted to retire then this is the perfect opportunity for him.

No need to take any more damage or punish himself in the next fight. It's clear that he lost everything.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Hunger in a country known for agriculture. on: June 03, 2024, 08:37:38 AM
Nigeria is country that is well known as a typical agricultural nation which was once the mainstay to the country economy and because of the agricultural strength of the country compel them to have their flag as Green White Green which signify agriculture and peace but it baffles me to see the level of hunger going on in Nigeria now to the extend that an average Nigerian cannot boast of feeding himself and family three square meal per day.
What could be the root cause of this hunger in a country that has all it takes including human capitals and natural resources to make a great nation that the whole would will cherish and envy.

I was not aware that there are hunger in Nigeria or at least the agriculture business is not producing enough for their population as there are reports that the country is basing their GNP on agriculture.

But just like the rest of African nature, there could really be corruption in the government and even similar to the state of some countries as well in Asia wherein everything is based on agriculture but not enough produce and they will have to import rice from other neighboring countries.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 03, 2024, 07:39:42 AM
I'm reading some good stats on this finals, Luka and Kyrie averages 51.6, while Tatum and Brown averages 51.0. So that even out everything if they are going to play that big in the finals. And again, we all know that defense win the game, so we will see how each team will have their best defenders, like White and Jrue Holiday for the Celtics and then we have PJ Washington, Derrick Jones Jr., or even Josh Green and Dante Exum.

So it's really a intriguing finals match-up, Kyrie harboring resentment against the Celtics, and then Tatum and Brown trying to erase that stigma against the Warriors in 2022 wherein they have a good lead in the series only to crumble down.
Don't worry, we've got few more days and it's less than a week until we see the first match. Let's see who's stat is going to be better on this NBA finals.

All of those stats won't be relevant anymore as the important thing here is who's going to get the title and who contributes more not just in points but all kinds of stats and situational plays.

I'm just showing the numbers and that is their stat on the playoff, so it's recent and I do think it is important. Lol, of course there are a lot of intangibles here, but as I have said, numbers are there to gauge how good the team is and why they are in the finals, they have the best duo right now and they score the bulk for their team.

I guess that whoever gets to do some contribution on crucial plays even with lesser points, they're always being honored not just by the team but most of the fans.

Both crowds are one of the loudest though, so just imagine playing game 1 and how the fans are going to be in Boston. Or fans of Mavs travelling to Boston to support their teams and same with Boston. Celtics is the favorite in game 1 so let's see if they can keep up with the odds or Mavs pushing again to pull an upset.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 03, 2024, 07:21:34 AM
Isnt it not the first time Jake Paul fight is being postponed or his opponent would be replaced? If I remember it correctly, Jake was scheduled to fight someone, who eventually broke one of his ribs and was replaced by Woodley (second fight against Woodley) on a short notice. Also Jake was planning to fight another professional boxer, but fight got cancelled in 3 weeks. Now its Tyson. Dont you think it strange when not the biggest boxing stars with not so many fights get so many problems with opponents? I bet Netflix did not get enough response from the audience, not so many subscriptions and decided to pause everything.

I'm not sure about your theory about Netflix not getting response, they've already put a lot of money here, it was reported that Mike Tyson is going to received a cool $20 million in this fight. And cancellation or postponement even if pro boxing is natural though, I mean this guys push themselves and then we don't know if they are really healthy in one day but the next day the doctor will find something in their system.

Anyway, let's see how this fight is, will it be a go or no go show or Mike Tyson will be replaced or not.

106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: June 02, 2024, 01:13:54 PM
After Bivol’s easy tune up fight on the undercard of Wilder vs. Zhang, it was announced by Turki Alalshikh that the fight between Bivol and Beterbiev has been rescheduled for October 12. Bivol’s defense didn’t look as sharp as it normally does against Zinad, but that might be because he was really trying to win by knockout, which he did for the first time in 6 years. I expect him to have a much different style against Beterbiev. He cannot afford to make mistakes and get caught with the same punches Zinad was landing on him.

Yeah, maybe he really wanted to impressed the crowd by looking for a knockout win and not the usual hard and grind fight and it will go to the judges scorecard. Nevertheless, he has done his part on the bargin so that the Bivol vs Beterbiev fight can still happen and as announced, it will be October 12.

For the Zhang vs Wilder, - Deontay is done already, he might have just wanted to have one last fight before he retires. Unfortunately, he was knockout again by the power of Zhang and it seems that Zhang is the fresher of the two. Just sad to see how Wilder turns out, we might not see him and AJ fighting.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 01, 2024, 10:35:00 AM
I’m seeing videos on social media seemingly showing Anthony Edwards being pretty upset with Karl Anthony Towns for asking him to pass the ball. It seems like that team has some issues and I wonder if we haven’t seen the last of KAT in a Timberwolves uniform. That would certainly be an offseason shakeup.

If I'm not mistaken, there we're videos of Edwards saying that Towns shouldn't  get into foul trouble. I guess that's part of the communication, I mean in Game 4 Towns is committing a lot of useless fouls and they almost blew that game.

Not sure though were KAT will land, it seems that they've just build their chemistry. And I'm assuming that the team will take this experience on a positive note and be back next year and maybe they can get over the hump and go to the finals.

And how do this anti virus though make people download it? Do they search using Google which for us crypto enthusiast is a no no. Or do they received it thru their email and then just click on the links?

No one is really safe, even if we are not a crypto investors, there could be sensitive info that we keep on our machine and so it's very important to practice safety and not to download or used crack softwares.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 31, 2024, 10:20:53 AM
Bitcoin price pumped once late this May and touched $71,000, though it was a weak green candle. Currently, the Bitcoin market is in a slight downtrend, as time goes on, the green candles will continue to grow. I note that the May 2023 price of Bitcoin was very low and it has pumped to the highest level in the last year. So if we start a bull market then it will definitely increase by two to three times from the current price.

Well we never thought in the beginning that it was going to be weak and not sustainable. And now we know that reason is that it was because of Pizza day that week. And so thee is a some pump on the price, pushing it to as high as $71k and then we thought that it will sustain till the end of the month.

And by now, it's obvious, that it was just artificial and could be manipulated by some groups. Nevertheless, ending this month at $68k is still good and very high in my opinion.  We are still +12% this month so everyone should be happy this May.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Errol Spence vs Sebastian Fundora - Oct on: May 31, 2024, 09:47:46 AM

Errol is almost as soft as Devin Haney being exposed, all the time in their career they were just fighting low-level boxers playing numbers for their boxing records but when they are matched to someone just right where their skillset level, they fold in the ring.

Fundora is also the same but after fighting Tszyu, he proved himself. I think Fundora will battle Spence to the ground.

It was speculated that the reason why Errol Spence did not have a strong fight vs. Bud Crawford is because Errol is very much dehydrated in welterweight. He is becoming very heavy for this weight division already. Also, similar to what @bisdak40 has mentioned, Fundora is not a very good boxer. This fight for Errol is the tune up fight that he needs hehe. However, a tune up fight with a championship hehehehehe.

A risk that is worth taking, I think this is what Spence is thinking in this fight. And for me, we can compare this to Tank fighting Mario Barrios for a belt at 140 lbs. So I will take a word from you, this could be a "scam" as Spence has a great chance to win this fight.

In paper it looks good for Fundora as he won against Tim Tszyu, however, if not for the accidental cut, it could be a different outcome and Tim could have won the fight. And another factor is that they know that Fundora just came from that messy fight and so he might not have recovered yet.

There might be no risk for Errol Spence for this fight. He might be thinking why is he very much lucky to be given a tune up fight but with a championship hehehehe. It is Tim Tszyu who has made a mistake on choosing Vergil Ortiz for his next fight after an upset loss heheheheh. Tszyu might lose again. He should have activated for immediate rematch and win back his WBO super welterweight championship.

There is still a risk though, what if Fundora beat him? he might consider retiring already.  As for Tszyu, very bad news, Bitter blow for Aussie boxing star Tim Tszyu as doctor orders next fight be scrapped.

So everything is up to Spence now, he was given this opportunity to fight for a world title and hopefully he won't waste it so that we can still the rematch between him and Crawford at 54 when they are champions, I think that is the plan.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it proper for one to trade Bitcoin through a trusted friend ? on: May 31, 2024, 09:01:33 AM
Haven't nurturing this idea of trading a Bitcoin in the near future, but one question that's always come as a concern to me is. Is proper for me to trust a friend of that high magnitude ?

It's called P2P, and if you uses exchanges, P2P you might be "safe". However, as the saying goes, "trust no one" here, so it's really up to you whether you can trust your friend specially involving huge amount of money. We all know that throughout human's history, at one point many might be tested and can't be trusted with big money, just saying.

So just be careful if you decided to trade with him. It's only you that can answer if. Maybe just trade with small amounts and see how it goes.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 31, 2024, 08:41:07 AM

Kleber, Powell, Lively, and Gafford... they are a key to dominate the Celtics in the paint this series.

They certainly are a problem especially the 2 big men who have earn big minutes during the WCF. I just watch a video about how fans of Celtics really hate Kyrie, I think this is going to be fun as in game 1 it will be in TD Garden where the fans will certainly come to support the home team. As to the betting odds now, Celtics are heavily favored, but I like the Dallas as they went through a tougher challenge compared to the Celitcs.

@OP maybe it's time to change the poll now.

I think the Celtics matchup pretty well against the Mavericks. They’re also a little more familiar with Kyrie’s game than most. I think this series will come down to if Luka can keep performing magic or not. I’m leaning towards Boston though.

I agree and think it would be nice to see a poll on who will win the Finals.

It will boils down to the support case for me, it's already given the Luka/Kyrie vs Tatum/Brown. So then there, there's a lot like KP if he will play and then Al Horford against Gafford and Lively, so very interesting match-up.

And I guess we will see Holiday trying to lock-up Kyrie here. So it's really a great finals and hard to see who will win although the Celtics has the home court advantage but they are going to be tested by the Mavs here.
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: The attractiveness of Bitcoin among my friends on: May 30, 2024, 07:56:30 PM
I guess many of you guys here will hit on me that it was risk of me exposing my Bitcon investment to the public but if I may ask in such case, how do we expect to achieve the widely adoption of Bitcoin users if we keep acting ghost of it?
Well, I do not also expect us to comfortably go out there and get exposed out of ignorance because it can as well be risky.

If you talk to a few friends or family members, then that is good, at least you are giving them knowledge about Bitcoin and how potentially you can make money out of it by investing some today and then wait for at least a year and see how it goes for them. What we are afraid is talking about in public and someone hears it and then suspect that you are a bag holder of BTC and then followed and attack you personally.

But if you discuss to a few friends, I think you will be alright. And as you have said, you might help them and then at your own little way, you are giving Bitcoin to grow as some of your friends might be interested.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 30, 2024, 11:26:35 AM
I dont think the ulcer thing stops the fight but its still relevant to his overall health alongside all the other factors from his age and also questionable state of fitness since he originally retired.   Ryan Garcia bravely offering to take over is kinda funny but cant blame him, so long as he is not expecting his name to command the same pay arrangements for the fight win or loss.   The ages would match better at least but Im not sure the other stats do, if it were a normal match up.
I didn't know that Mike had an ulcer, and it seems to me that this is a serious factor that can affect the fight. Jake can take advantage of this and strike in the stomach area, one good blow and that will be enough and it’s all over for Mike. But I am more than confident, that this or any other disease will not prevent them from having this fight, because there is too much money at stake and then Mike will be able to go for the best treatment he can find.  Grin

Well nobody knows it unless it was just reported last week and everyone was concern about it, not just because the fight could be postponed, but definitely as a fan of Mike Tyson we don't have to hear this kind of health issues.

Nevertheless, it will not stop him to push the fight as scheduled. It has already been set and money is already in the line here.

Speaking of money, here is the ML, Tyson: 2.46, Paul: 1.48.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs Zhilei Zhang JUNE 1 Heavyweight on: May 30, 2024, 10:42:48 AM
Zhang vs Wilder is an intriguing fight. Both are capable of knocking out each other. It is hard to imagine this fight to end in decision. I think Zhang knocks Wilder out in the middle rounds.

Intriguing indeed as both have knockout power but the fighter who have attractive odds here is Wilder so i'll be backing him to win this one bro. Wilder needed this win so he have something to offer if he wants to fight Anthony Joshua before he finally hang up his gloves for good.

Yes, he is a underdog in this fight and the odds for him are very attractive. And perhaps odds makers see the Zhang's power is going to be to hard for Wilder to contain and he could really be out of his prime.

But another intriguing match up is AJ vs Wilder, just imagine in this have fought each other before during the height of their popularity. They could have make a lot of money back then. They kept waiting though and we might not see that fight happening.

Wilder is indeed the underdog here but only slightly. Wilder lost in his previous fight. Wilder lost 2 of his last 3 fights. While Zhang is 2-2 of his last 4 fights but his losses were really close.

I am not really confident of an AJ-Wilder these days. Maybe possible if Wilder wins here but I don't think he beats AJ. Even when they're both champs and undefeated, the only chance Wilder beat AJ is to land his wild haymakers which is too open for counters. AJ is not that fast but he is better than Wilder defensively and has better skills.

Wilder's career is already done, he is on the retirement age and there's nothing to prove anymore as he was once a champion once but it's not his time now. Just like Fury, he was once undefeated but recently loss in a championship fight, so the title could change hands very fast but on the boxers that losses, it's really Wilder that struggles to come back on the top.

They are very different though, I mean when Wilder loses to Fury he wasn't the same anymore. As compare to Fury, this is his first lost so we don't know how he will react and he will have a rematch with Usyk.

Here is a interview with him, saying that he contemplates retiring, but seeing his lost to Parker as a blessing in disguise.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyWFa6v0GNM

He say that he didn't have the killer instinct against Parker, but now he could be the "Wild" Wilder.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 30, 2024, 10:07:27 AM
I was expecting Dallas to finish the series last night, but it didn't happen, the series is now 3-1.
Minnesota played well last night and won, Dallas was bad and lost, they didn't play as I expected.
The next game will be played in Minnesota, Minnesota can win the game with the support of the fans, but I hope this does not happen.

Losing Dereck Lively made a huge impact on that defeat. There was Kleber returning but he made little impact on his return. Luka's low FG percentage though always affects the team. Based on my observation, Luka is always the heart and soul of this team. He plays below 40% FG and they'll lose right away even if Kyrie plays good. So it is important for Luka to perform at this best in this next game especially that it is happening in Minnesota. The presence of Lively is also a huge factor because they need every good big man of the team to stop and match Minnesota's twin towers and Reid.

Lol, there was a meme wherein they are calling Kleber because it seems that Maxi is lost when he came back and play again. But yeah, Lively is a big part of the core now of Dallas and him not playing really contributed to their lost, and if I'm not mistaken, he is average double digit in the playoff series and then his hustle, rebounds are solely missed.

I do agree that Luka is their franchise player and if he is shooting good, everyone in the team is also doing better. But if he has a bad shooting night, the team itself suffers, with the likes of PJ Washington and Kyrie who is a great shooter in the last 5 minutes are missing their shots. It's like Luka woes trickle down to the team as well.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme Coins Resembling Lotteries in the Crypto Space on: May 29, 2024, 12:36:58 PM
Tap coins, such as Notcoin, are currently very popular (I have managed to earn a few hundred dollars from them Cool). In my opinion, these coins can also be referred to as meme coins. Most of them do not require any investment of money, but only a waste of time. However, at the peak of their popularity, it may be worth paying attention to these coins.

But they've didn't sustain it's run though, so it's the typical meme coins, as others said, p&d and you are lucky that you were able to earn a few hundred dollars, but there could be others who are not as lucky as you are. And then the risk, as what the title by the OP, similar to lottery wherein the odds are pretty much stack against you and you don't know if you are going to profit huge or maybe when you wake up, the price goes down low and you losses a lot of money.

That is one dangers of investing in meme coins, the risk is greater but it is rewarding in the end if by chance you get lucky.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: May 29, 2024, 11:50:35 AM
There is a lot of changes 15 to 20 years is very long time we don't know what will going to happen that time it is so hard to predict bitcoin may go up if it will continue rising  based on thier past price rising from year 2009 till present, if it will continue it will reach more ATH in next 20 years from now but 1m$ is i think so high, no one knows about it.
$1 million is a pretty high price for anyone to hope for and it's certainly not likely to happen any time soon, as most people are expecting $80K to $100K in Bitcoin with a timeline until the end of next year. And this range is also the next ATH level which is more logical for everyone to expect if the level of demand and supply in the market can continue to increase this year for Bitcoin. Because I am also quite sure that price changes in Bitcoin will continue to occur significantly, although we also have to pay attention to corrections because that is also part of price changes in Bitcoin.

But in the realm of possibility, I say yes, it could be achievable. And it might take at least 3-4 halvings, so perhaps in the next decade or so. But for now, we can all speculate that $100k is the next target for us.

And maybe next it will double our all time high for his bull cycle. So in any case, one thing about this market is that it is unpredictable and we can only know once we got ever there. But it's free to do our own analysis of the market.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Summer Olympics 2024 on: May 29, 2024, 10:19:47 AM
I haven't made any bet on any Olympics games. I prefer the entertainment that comes from watching the games. My favourite games are the track and field event and swimming. The football matches are not as interesting as championships that are exclusively for football games. Hey notblox1, which are your favourite games and what is your predictions? Do you usually bet on Olympic games?
I like field and track events, especially running. I like long jump and high jump and the one with the stick. I also like swimming. I do not watch the football, I do not know if it is interesting or not but I prefer world cup instead of the Olympic football. But generally there are many other interesting matches which are fun. I also prefer to watch it than to use it to bet. I may try small amount of money this time if the matches are available on bookie sites.

I also like track and field events, specially the heart of it, the 100 meter dash for men and women. However, since Bolt has retired already, we haven't seen any face of the track and field maybe except for a few women. Competition between USA and Jamaica will still continue in my opinion.

Of course as a NBA fan, the US is sending a big squad, maybe it will be called redeem team again. Obviously, they want the gold and restore the order for the USA to be the dominant basketball country.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greediness or Addiction -which one is more disastrous? on: May 29, 2024, 09:02:00 AM
Well, I believe that both Greediness and Gambling Addiction make our lives terrible. I was thinking about which one of the two reasons causes more disastrous in our life both in terms of mental health and finances.

It would be the base of experience or just purely an opinion but for me, Greediness is something that would really make us cripple.
"I want to bet more and more in order to win more. I will sell my properties so I can bet huge. " Greediness mindset keeps on the winning side, not satisfaction.

But addiction is a little disastrous, why? Because they can be satisfied with betting a small amount, at least they can gamble.

However, both can possibly happen in our lives when we can't control our gambling habit anymore. I prefer not the two but in this situation, I prefer to be just addicted rather than be greedy

Gamble Responsibly...

Both, you can't be a gambling addict without the feeling of being greedy when you play. Classic example is that when you are already up and winning, you don't want to stop and think that you can win more money, and so that is greediness in it's finest.

So it's like this characteristics compliment each other or they are mutually exclusive that you can't separate it from a individual who are into gambling and define as a gambling addict.
