101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto investment is exhausting for some ? on: May 22, 2024, 01:07:35 PM

Have you seen people giving up on crypto after they spent some time doing research on crypto and even investing?

I have one that I teach or I become a mentor on him. It was before the pandemic, before the last bull run that pushes the price of Bitcoin to $69k. And then the pandemic strikes, never heard of him again. Until in the last week or so, he went back to our place and goes back to the house the he used to rent.

And so we have a lot to talk and that includes investment in Bitcoin and crypto in general. He mentioned that he did profited in the last bull run. But he didn't invest in this latest cycle as he was tired and exhausted as what you have describe. So maybe there are individuals who are not that 'consistent' to invest here and even though they have a great experience, they give up very easily.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 22, 2024, 11:52:47 AM
Recently I read that a year ago the Olympic committee cut its ties with the International boxing federation due to corruption and unfair referee placement. It has been a year since and the boxing federation has still to fix these issues. Now boxing is threatened to be completely left off schedule from the Olympics for the first time in the history of modern Olympics!

It really makes you think, if the international body of boxing is so corrupt, can you imagine the corruption that would be going on individually promoted events and closed leagues as the liked of UFC? Makes me think that fighting promotions and especially boxing should be avoided if you want to make bets.

You can read a relevant article about the Olympic news here: https://www.kompas.id/baca/english/2024/04/04/en-tinju-terancam-didepak-dari-olimpiade

I have to disagree though, boxing like any other sports is also full of corrupt organizations and I do agree that it has history of biased decisions in the past. But I doubt that boxing fans are totally going to ignore and chooses other sports to bet on.

Just like in the recent fight of Usyk vs Fury, the odds are very close, although in the fight night, it was Fury who goes as a slight favorite. Nevertheless, Usyk won in that fight as a underdog and by decision. The decision win is like 4.x odds so that is good enough for us to bet and win big despite if there is a corruption or not.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Previous vs Current Cycle on: May 22, 2024, 09:59:50 AM
Even though both of these are very different cycles however at some point of time, they collide and stay together for some time.
Sept-Oct 2025 is the time when I think Bitcoin ATH will be in for this cycle. And if you have seen my previous charts, my Bitcoin Price Target is $172k which is nearly 145% from the current price.

Let's see how it goes. Wink

I think I have this kind of personal prediction as well, from a conservative estimates of $120k, to as high as $180k as the new all time high in this bull cycle. And it could be achieved in the last cycle of 2025.

Of course, everyone should take precautions as no one can predict the market with accuracy as we are just putting our best effort to make a wild and educate guess base on many factors including it's previous charts like what the OP is putting here.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 22, 2024, 09:20:17 AM
The Celtics won by 5 points in OT. I thought this series would be easy for the Celtics, but Game 1 proved me wrong. The Pacers are giving their all; 7 players scored in double digits, with 3 of them scoring more than 20. The Pacers had 6 more field goals, but the Celtics had more free throws, with 24 compared to the Pacers' 9. The Pacers committed 23 fouls and had 21 turnovers. They need to work more on reducing their turnovers and fouls.
This is just game 1, and we've already seen how the Pacers are playing. It was a winnable game for them, but the Celtics got lucky with Brown's tough tying shot. In OT, the Celtics took over in the last two minutes and secured the win. That's fine—if the Pacers were able to come back from a 0-2 deficit before, I'm sure it's not hard for them to do it against the Celtics, even if they are the underdog.

Some thought this series would be easy for the Celtics, but the result of game 1 proved them wrong. We have a series here, and I'm sure we will see more entertaining action ahead.

I wouldn't say it's lucky though, I mean Brown could have a good 3 point percentage. But if he didn't make it, will be over for the Celtics in game 1. But yeah, this is just game one and it shows that even if the Boston is the top seed, the Pacers have been in two tough series already and they are well built for this kind of big games.

Pacers are still a big underdog in game 2, but there could be NBA bettors who might go with them ML for a huge upset next game.

It will be a entertaining series for sure and I'm seeing the Pacers giving the Celtics a run in this series.
105  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 21, 2024, 08:51:09 PM
Now, to that, add that we've lost valuable members, some of which were intellectually influential, and you have an Internet board filled with mostly crap. What's the problem?
The only member that we lost recently is o_e_l_e_o, or who else? But I noticed that some members are not active like before on technical boards. Some people still see this forum educative and interesting. If mixers were not banned on this forum, many people will still later not post again. Be it as it may be now, there will surely be changes. Many people that were here in 2012 were not here in 2018 when Leo joined this forum. Many of us posting today also may no more be here in the next 5 to 10 years.

Yeah, there could be some members are not that active unlike before, and we all know that mixer campaigns participants or at least being accepted on that campaign are somewhat more technical than the majority of us.

And since they are banned, majority are not interested although they could have been absorbed on some campaign as well. And we are in the bull run, so we should expect more members and more discussions.

Or do we need more drama to get the forum going again,  Cheesy
106  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wazamba & 22Bet.com refusing to pay on: May 21, 2024, 08:35:17 PM
Many crypto casinos that have a good reputation in this forum, why play on a less well-known platform?
And Im sure those 2 platforms never post or promote their casinos in this forum, sorry to say but it seems they will not respond to your complaint here.
How about bring the dispute to casinoguru, because if I look at Wazamba rating on casinoguru it is considered a good casino.

Exactly, we haven't heard this casino before, so not sure how the OP play on it. And that is the problem with some gamblers, I mean there are a lot of reputable casinos that you can find that is being listed in this community so why not try this fly by night casinos and then complain later that you have been scam and it's obvious that the blame falls on the OP.

In any case, it's good that he has warned us and hopefully he will be the last one to fell victims. Yeah, just charge this to experience as I also not seeing this casinos going back to pay you.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 21, 2024, 08:04:06 PM
Nikola Jokic always has a problem and that problem is when he is so dominant in the teamwork but he is in a bad day in accuracy. Several times i see Denver Nuggets losing the games because the joker try so many shots and he fail a lot of them, clearly you cant complain about it because also the joker win for you so much games in alone plays made by him.

Perhaps he needs to shoot more in some games because they are down and his team mates are not making any shots. Like in game 7, he had missed a lot of 3 points, but suddenly make back to back because they are down.

Porter choke, can't make his jump shots and so is Murray who supposedly the second best option for them. And then Gordon wasn't able to contribute as well while the Wolves played great defense in game 7 and their big men dominating the boards with Gobert, KAT and Reid.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling losses are traps to new game on: May 18, 2024, 09:39:40 AM
Whether you trust the algorithm of the game that you're playing or not, you're probably not going to be able to do anything anyway because you're still going to play. Maybe if it's proven to be rigged then you probably have an answer to it like a complaint to the people behind that casino, but that's rarely the case on this one because the way these casinos rig their game, they still make sure that you still have the chance or so they like for you to think. Maybe the reason why we think things are rigged is because we just can't fathom that we're losing so much money whenever we gamble that we need some form of mechanism that would make us think that there's some tangible forces behind that's conspiring to make you lose money.

Well there are way to check if casinos are provably fair, but I doubt everyone here is doing their due diligence because we all know that gambling is based on pure luck and if we lose then we might as well shrugged our shoulders.

Which means we might not be concern of our losses as we might be thinking that we can go back the next day and see how our luck it. Maybe it will be very different as the last one and this time we are going to win big money.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 18, 2024, 09:21:58 AM
Anyway, Game 6 between the Mavericks and the Thunder will be the next game. Will the Mavericks end it on their home, or the Thunder will force a Game 7.
Well, Wolves and Nuggets goes to game 7.

New York Knicks and Pacers goes to game 7.

It's possible that Mavs and the Thunder are also going to go for the game 7. But one series tomorrow, the Nuggets and the Wolves are going to be the decider game.

Of course as fans we wanted an extended series and have another game 7 between the Mavs and the Thunder. But OKC needs some contribution from their players and rise to the occasion otherwise the whole season that they have been working to be the top 1 will go out of the window.

They will have to find a way to win in the road here, they've done it before and so they should be positive that they can accomplished it and then go to game 7 at their homecourt and they will have the advantage then.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'HODL' The first meme coin on BNB Chain? on: May 17, 2024, 08:35:52 PM
I know most popular meme coins were on Ethereum, Solana, Base, TON, and most recently the BRC-20 tokens. Which makes me wanna believe HODL could actually be the first meme coin on BNB Chain cos i have never heard of any prolly, some of you may have heard but the info confirms it is the first to be built on BNB chain with the project's core concept buit on the idea  “No more tortures for holders”

Surprisingly, HODL doesn't seem to enjoy the same hype as Pepe, Doge, Shiba, or recently BOME, but it was listed on Bitget and Pancakeswap few hours ago. It caught my attention due to its claim of being the first meme coin BNB Chain. I did buy a little, and it has been very bullish since my entry. This makes me curious: is it the first meme coin on BNB Chain, and are we about to witness another BNB Chain meme coin era?

Lol, the keyword here is "meme" coin, so regardless of what chain it will go, it will still be the classic pump and dump scheme.

Not that we are against it, but it's obvious that for a beginner who doesn't have the experience and then being shilled by meme coins, it could be dangerous and they can be suckered and then lose money in the end and blame the whole market for that.

So good luck buying them and hopefully you can make money out of it.
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dropping Bitcoin price could significant rewards for investors in future. on: May 17, 2024, 01:34:24 PM
Buying bitcoin with DCA Increasingly and consistently to enhance your investment portfolio in this dips situation. DCA is a method that is especially made for Bitcoin which is a universal system. Buying more time of dropping will increase your confidence to investing more.

Just to be fair, DCA has been with the investment industry for many years and so with that, it's not was not made or created for Bitcoin.

However, it is also very effective so I guess there's nothing wrong with using it in the market. And with the majority here as like average joe investors, it make sense that we are going to used this method although it has some drawback. I mean you really need to be consistent to grind hard every week or every month.

But the reward in the end will outweigh those years that we have been mentally doing it and it will make us huge money in the end.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 17, 2024, 10:29:20 AM
I can not say that I a huge boxing expert, but I notice that Usyks weak spot are body shots. Dubois landed a clear shot (imho it was clean), Briedis gave him a hard fight with body punches when he was in cruiserweight, and in amateur career Beterbiev found that weak spot also. But Fury, as a really huge guy and heavy hitter, going to cause lots of troubles if he even land a punch to the block. Usyks feature is landing lots of punches, long combos and a win by points. Amazingly, but Fury can do the same and in high tempo. I expect Fury to win by TKO.

I think everyone is vulnerable to a body shot, specially if you are hit on that sweet spot. But there is a video of Dubois landing that questionable body shot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssVX2FQdMiw

P.S. However, I notice in media, that they already agreed for a rematch. Does it means the fight will be fixed and we get a draw ? Cheesy

Nah, a lot of pride in the line, I don't think that anyone will give someone inch of advantage and make the judges score it a draw. There will be someone to be declared a winner in this highly anticipated fight and for the unification in this division.
113  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the Worst online Casino you've played on so far? on: May 17, 2024, 09:01:12 AM
I have played at a few casinos only and so far my experience on those casinos has been good instead of bad or worst. I know I have lost of some of the casinos but I believe I lost because of my own luck and that was not the casino's fault.

Of course everyone's luck is very different and it's not the casinos fault, but who knows, there could be some casinos that is rigged and that could be one of the worst and then those casinos that are overtly are scammers.

I will also not mentioned any names of the casino, but for sure the majority here already experience it like asking for KYC (although I will agree that this could be the norm now), but in the beginning they are not as long as you are losing money to them. But when you win and win big and try to withdraw, they will do everything to delay your winnings.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 17, 2024, 06:12:18 AM
The Timberwolves owned the paint tonight against the Nuggets. They had a 20+ rebound advantage as a team led by big nights from Karl Anthony-Towns and Rudy Gobert. When they’re playing like that, they’re the best team in the NBA. Game 7 will be a great game to watch. It might as well be the NBA Finals.
Just like how they played in game 2, they dominated the Nuggets again.

43-62 rebounding disparity, that's huge, it looks like Nuggets didn't travel to play as in the rebound alone, they aren't getting it done well. Also, the nuggets struggled a lot in the 3 point area as they only shoot 19% which is very low. Well, I guess now we can say that this series is really unpredictalbe, we have a game 7 back in Denver, still it's hard to predict if the home team will dominate.

Yes, and we will give credit to the defense of the Wolves. There were immediate concern when the Nuggets started hot and so Wolves call early time out, but after that, it was a different team, playing good defense, running and hitting their shots.

McDaniels is the big difference for the Wolves with a big 21 points. Yes, as I have said before, this series is very unpredictable but the game is going to be in Denver and that they will have their home court advantage again. It's not a do or die game, but maybe the defending champions might still have some ace in their sleeves and finished this series.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: another ATH , 71k and still climbing. on: May 16, 2024, 09:39:52 PM
Personally I still hold it. Even though currently the price of bitcoin tends to fall, I am sure that in the next opportunity the price of bitcoin will reach a much higher ATH than before. My target is not just $75k but $100k, and I am determined to continue hold until the price of bitcoin reaches $100k.

I like this type of attitude. People and investors need to have clarity like this. If you are investing in Bitcoins, then you need to think of something big. I have often seen the investors get into fear and panic sell the coins when price starts falling. Instead what they can really do is think this as an opportunity and buy the coins at cheap price. I have even heard that many people are planning to hold the coins till it reaches 500k USD. So lets hope for the best and keep on accumulating the coins.

Wow, that's a big price, but I think it's achievable in the next 5 years or so. But right now, the target is $100k, at least that is the conservative estimates that almost majority thinks that we will hit in the next bull run or our new all time high.

Dreams are not taxed so we can predict and dream about the price bitcoin can achieve, 500k$ or 1 million...But let's look at the fact that we haven't even reached our $100K goal, which we've been dreaming about since the 2021 bull season but it hasn't happened so far. So, expecting a higher ATH is unrealistic. Bitcoin still has long-term upside potential, but we also need to note that bitcoin's growth rate is gradually slowing down and becoming more stable. Bitcoin has become bigger, it can no longer bring x10, x100 profits like when the capitalization was small. So, expecting bitcoin to reach $500k or $1 million is somewhat exaggerated and unrealistic, let alone claiming that it will happen in the next 5 years.

I do agree we all have our dreams and what price we wanted. And with that, we should really be careful of our predictions, who really don't know, maybe we can hit it or not. But yes, it should be really baby steps, maybe in this bull run we will be looking like $100k++ first and then before we can talk about half a million to $ 1 million.

That's a big dream to all of us, and again, just imagine if it become true, what will be our life will be then.

And that's why we really need to keep dreaming and continue to accumulate no matter what.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs coming to China? on: May 16, 2024, 12:19:33 PM
Hongkong? Yes, I think Bitcoin ETF has been approved already and has been going on for the last 2 weeks if I'm not mistaken.

China? hmm, I doubt it, we've seen their anti-Bitcoin stance for many years already and I don't think that a authoritarian like them will allow their people to thrive on crypto and get the financial freedom that their population will have.

Remember then even their richest person, in Jack Ma was losses all his money after criticizing the Chinese government.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 16, 2024, 11:46:37 AM
@Baofeng. I wish it will be Lomachencko vs. Shakur first and I also wish Shakur will win this and have a big name in his record. This will certainly cause the scammer Tank Davis to be very envious because all of the hype will go to Shakur. Tank's hype will be lower after fighting the boxer that we do not know name? Is it Steve Martin? Yes, I wish Martin will give a shocking performance and make it a split decision heheheh.

It could be a done deal, with Loma vs Shakur, but unfortunately Shakur is thinking of not re-signing his contract with Top Rank which is up to July 6. But Top Rank can still hostage Shakur, they can say to him sign with us again and we will guarantee a fight with Loma.

And that's why it might be Tank first if Shakur doesn't want to extend his contract with Bob Arum and Top Rank.

I think it will still be good for Loma's legacy to fight Tank Davis first. Will not change a thing and then if Shakur still wants a piece of Loma then maybe he will be next or Bob Arum skipping him totally.

Either one of these two would be good to see, after all, both fighters are champion and still hasn't experience a loss yet. Whatever is easy for Loma, he should go for that fight, and since he is a proven boxer already, he is not there to cherry pick opponents but to fight the best. There's still plenty of time, I hope that will happen before the year will end and if Loma wins, he could rest and continue next year.

There will be no easy fight for him, so whoever comes first for Loma gonna be tough. But I will agree that we want him to fight Tank Davis, that will be an explosive fight as Tank has power but Loma is tactician in the ring, just like in this fight, we didn't know that his strategy is to go to the body and soften Kambosos.

So it will be a battle of strategy as well, who will prevail in this kid of stylistics match up?

And imagine the trash talking of Tank Davis and not respecting Loma at all.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - May 26 on: May 16, 2024, 10:55:37 AM
I thought that this fight has ended already, but when I checked it has moved to May 25.

And with that, the odds as per Stake, it's now 50/50 at 1.86. It looks like Josh Taylor though has seen better days and the wear and tear is not affecting his body. So I wouldn't be surprised if Catterall finally get the numbers here against his arch nemesis.

Thanks for bumping this thread I saw this in my feed, and I remember there was a thread created for this match. This may not be a title match, but it has all the excitement; just like a World title, it is a grudge match, and we boxing fans love it when there are personal reasons involved; there are so many thrash talks between the two parties, the Usyk - Fury is coming, and after that fight, we have this fight to carry on our excitement in boxing, this is a great month for boxing fans.
I have a feeling that the fights of the year will be those that happened in April or May.

Right, thanks for this bump and yeah this has been postponed with a new date and so I updated it as well. I do agree, and as we have been discussing, there could be fans who think that Catterall took everything from Taylor in this fight, because after this, Taylor was very different as he lost the belt to Teo Lopez.

And so there are no belts but personal pride is on the line between the two and as we can see during the press conference, there are a lot of trash talking. And Catterall even spoke that Taylor is faking his injury and doesn't want to face him. But everything has been settled that the new date is May 26.

As there is no belt on the line, they need to make noise for this match. And trash talking is one of the easiest routes to make boxing fans interested. Taylor lost the belt to Lopez, hence, the odds now are seemingly 50/50. Maybe in some bookies, they will favour Taylor a lil bit. But I guess, I'll just watch this fight and not bet. The bad blood between them is said to be personal, but that's their business. So long they will give a toe-to-toe fight and not a boring one, I guess boxing aficionados will watch their fight. We will know what will happen next for Taylor's boxing career, if in case, he will lose this one. Maybe, hang his gloves or continue to fight. He's only 33, so he has still few years that he can be active before finally calling it a day.

This fight though is more of domestic rivalry, both are from England and so they are buying for their own respective fans. And I think it will sell locally, but not sure if it will be worldwide success as some fans are not familiar with Jack Catterall.

Nevertheless, it will be good for their local fans as they have been waiting for this rematch for sure. Taylor narrowly beat Catterall the first time but it was a close decision and others says that Catterall should have won that fight but the judges elected to give to the then champion Taylor. So no belts in the line but the fight is still very exciting and intriguing to see the outcome.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 16, 2024, 10:41:27 AM
I'm always rooting for the Mavs to win the series against the Thunder. OKC took a lot of 3-point attempts, but they only made 10 out of 40. SGA scored 30 points, but the second-highest scorer, Chet, only made 13. The Mavs lead the series and will play at home in Game 6. As long as they can't stop Luka's offense, which is likely to happen, they are bound to lose.

It looks like the Thunder have chosen some strange strategy for this game. I mean, what was the point of continuing to make so many three-pointers if they already had a poor shooting percentage after the first quarter. Anyway, let's see what will happen in game 6, but if the Thunder can't adapt during the game, they will probably lose this series.

Well they might thought that it will be enough to overcome the Mavs. But unfortunately, in their homecourt, perhaps the biggest game as they will take a good lead, the inexperienced OKC Thunder was not able to respond.

And the more that the fans taunted Luka and Irving, the more they responded. And there are a lot of players that step up in this game for the Mavs.

So what do you think of a series between the Nuggets vs Mavs in the potential West finals?

But me thinking though what you said, because if I just hold my coins that I accumulated from the last bear market it could really be big money this incoming bull run but it's mentally tough but it's doable in my opinion.
