payments arent working. i hit the botton to send me what i have there and it doenst do anything. just fyi
Added this to my update. Will be fixed in a few minutes.

Not working for me.  Hit the pay button, BTC is gone from deepbit account.  It's been an hour, zero confirmations.  Whats going on?
102  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~1600 Gh/s Mining Pool] SSL, API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: May 29, 2011, 11:48:51 PM
I agree with Tycho.  I've never experienced downtime that I noticed and have been mining for at least 3 weeks.  So I hardly think your "daily" assessment is correct.

I've seen at least 10 down times in the last 3 weeks.  Most were minor lasting only a matter of seconds ore minutes.  There have been a couple times with 20-30 minutes of down time.  This has been the longest so far, and thats why I moved.  Once deepbit is backup, I'll use it as my "backup" pool if my other primary no fee pool fails.
103  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Deepbit offline... on: May 29, 2011, 11:21:37 PM
Any guess on the major pools that make up OTHER?

Not pools.  Solo mining mostly I think.
104  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Deepbit offline... on: May 29, 2011, 11:13:59 PM
I just took my 1.2G hashes to BTC Guild.  So far so good. Smiley

No fees! Yay!
105  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~1600 Gh/s Mining Pool] SSL, API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: May 29, 2011, 10:39:55 PM
Been down over an hour... time to switch pools I guess.
106  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LinuxCoin A lightweight Debian based OS with everything ready to go. on: May 29, 2011, 09:27:13 PM
Please make a regular install version.  Not everyone wants to run off a live CD / flash drive.  I prefer to run off a spare laptop HD (2.5W).
107  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 6 5830 on 1 MOBO is it possible? on: May 29, 2011, 09:06:24 AM
Hey guys - I wanted to ask if it is possible to put 6 5830 on 1 MOBO. Would it be too cramed and over heat? What do you guys think?

I don't know of a motherboard that has PCI-E slots spaced wide enough to allow for this.  Potentially with a funky ribbon cable setup, you could run that many.  We have 4x 5830's on a gigabyte board that has 5x PCI-E slots on it.

Everything is possible,

Hint : The 7 slot at the back of an ATX case couldn't care less that you use 5830.

5830's take up 2 slots a card.  You can't even get 4 cards in a standard case...  Some cases have 8, like some Lian Li cases.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Overclocking Radeon HD 5830 on: May 29, 2011, 04:25:05 AM
I have mine at 965/175.  They are XFX cards.  They've been running at that clock speed for a couple of weeks now, no issues.

I get 288M hashes with Agression = 11.
109  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cheap XFX 5850 seems unstable when OC'd on: May 29, 2011, 02:13:00 AM
What are you using to OC it?

Mine are running @ 865 stock voltage 315M hashes.

My 5830's run @ 965/175 @ 288M hashes.
110  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Huge ~40% Drop in Network Hashing Power (5/27/2011) on: May 28, 2011, 07:58:45 AM
Please read the thread.

I did.  I still don't believe that chart is accurate.  Something is wrong.  Why else would the difficulty level drop a large amount EXACTLY when difficulty level increased?
111  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Huge ~40% Drop in Network Hashing Power (5/27/2011) on: May 28, 2011, 04:31:54 AM
The total network hashing power started 5/27/2011 UTC at ~5THash/s and swung to close the day at just over ~3THash/s. With a low around ~2.9THash/s.

That is a nearly 40% drop, day over day, in the first full day after the latest 78% difficulty increase.

Edit: This is based on the graphs from http://bitcoin.sipa.be/ which do not have the same calculation flaw right after a difficulty change that BitcoinCharts does.

Uploaded at ImageShack.

Is this a joke?  This happens everytime the difficulty increases.... the accuracy of the hash rate calculation is not correct because of the 24hr sample rate.  I would assume someone with a few hundred posts on the forum would know better....
112  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining difficulty rate!! on: May 28, 2011, 01:03:20 AM
4x 5830's and 2x 5850's and only pulling in about 3.7 BTC a day.
113  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 2x5830 or 5850 on: May 26, 2011, 07:36:38 AM
I get 285 out of my 5830's and currently 320 out of my 5850's.  5830's are the best value ATM, but, make sure you downclock the memory or it uses a lot of power!
114  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: ONE CORE CPU - is this a problem? on: May 26, 2011, 07:35:37 AM
Windows + the AMD Stream 2.4 + newer Phoenix max out 1 CPU core per video card.  This problem doesn't happen on Linux.  Whats interesting though about the sempron 140, is idle it uses 30-35W, full load its 45W, so not that much of a difference in power usage.
115  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining server room (cooling development help) on: May 24, 2011, 08:22:09 AM
Wow this is crazy, especially considering the massive difficulty increases.  I've only been mining for 3 weeks, I've already seen the network MORE than double!

---------------------------

Bad idea to try to cool the room with only an AC, considering 10KW of heat!  Your best bet would be to run some kind of ducting to each computer to vent the air out of the room.

The idea is you don't want to cool the heat, but instead get rid of the heat ASAP then add cool air into the room.

--------------------------

Either way, I think this is an insane project to attempt, and I believe we will see a bitcoin economy crash soon enough if people like you start going overboard.

--------------------------

I can get a 1260 CFM inline blower that will exchange the the rooms air in under a min would that not work ? and yes i understand the hot spot issue AC is certainly a option just weighting each

If you have that kind of CFM going into the room, can you also evacuate that amount of air from the rest of the room?
116  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: measuring contest on: May 24, 2011, 04:45:26 AM
I have about 1.75G/hashes.

2x 5830's in one rig.

2x 5850's in another.

4x 5830's in another (50/50 ownership with a friend).
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 10btc reward for fix (5850 or 5870 no post issue) on: May 23, 2011, 09:29:45 AM
well thats not a fix :S thats just bad news :S there has GOT to be a fix there always is .... always

hell even to find some one who can write a new bios Tongue

I would try a PCI-E 1x to PCI-E 16x cable and see what happens.  There is a decent chance that it may work that way.
118  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Sapphire HD 5850 Xtreme Overclock Discussion (Post your stable overclocks) on: May 23, 2011, 03:10:30 AM
Im getting my 5850 this friday. Is it really necessay to change the voltage to do overclock or you can do something with the stock voltages?

Stock the highest I've gone is 860Mhz, and the display driver crashed after a few hours.  No problems so far at 830Mhz stock voltage.  Might try tweaking the voltage later.

I get about 310M/hashes at 830Mhz.
119  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Temps on a 5850 on: May 22, 2011, 09:46:28 PM
My 2 cards currently run at 60-65C, thats with a overclock from 725 to 825Mhz.  My motherboard has a space between the two cards, so that makes a big difference.

I live in one of the hottest places in the world, where temps during the summer can hit up to 117F.

But what is the ambient room temperature inside the room where the PC is?

Room temp currently is 75-80F.

My 5850 still crashes the driver every now and then. It does however restore to the same clocks and stays stable for a while. I just wish there was some way to make Phoenix restart automatically after a driver restore so I can leave my computer ensured it's not idling.

I was getting display driver crashes at 860Mhz, so I lowered the clock down to 830Mhz.  Not had a crash yet.  But its only doing 310M hashes.
120  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 2 card not a 100% on: May 22, 2011, 09:40:48 PM
Are you using an Agression level of 11 or 12?

Secondly try to reduce as much graphical rendering on the desktop as possible (e.g. turn off Aero if your using Win7 or Vista, turn off widgets etc.)

My cards run at 99% at agression 11 or 97% at agression 7.  I have 2x 5830's and 2x 5850's in another PC under Win7.
