101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚡ [PRE-SALE ICO] Tutellus:🚀The EdTech platform that pays you for learning on: January 24, 2018, 06:07:03 PM
I am glad that more companies and projects are pursuing this type of an ICO. It may seem not as profitable but we need people who are truly looking out for the world and the citizens involved. I am glad to be associated with a project like Tutellus and I hope I can spread the good word even more in the coming weeks and months!  Smiley
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase is the reason why we have high fees on: January 23, 2018, 07:39:01 PM
It is like they don't care for their customers when they continue to do actions like this. Adopting Segwit surely can't be that hard I did everything by myself and it took a matter of minutes I am sure a multi million dollar company could take care of it quickly!
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: January 22, 2018, 08:46:41 PM
The single biggest disadvantage for bitcoin at the moment is that you can't send funds worldwide for a nominal price and that has been the promise. Well that and being able to use it as currency. Once these two issues get resolved then we will have a robust currency one that will stands unmatched in terms of its capabilities.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 22, 2018, 07:54:20 PM
As of right now given everything we know I think it won't happen for the foreseeable future but after 10 maybe even 25 years this type of thing could happen. The reason I don't think it will happen yet is because the currencies we have are huge and the banks aren't going to let this happen overnight if at all. There will be massive resistance and that will be ongoing for a long time before status quo changes.

106  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which countries have zero taxation of Bitcoin revenues? on: January 15, 2018, 05:51:39 PM
What about those countries you can buy your way into? Vanuatu I think was allowing that to happen for 200k and I remember seeing somewhere another island country was doing similar but for 100k.
107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Live and Let Live on: January 09, 2018, 11:39:59 PM
Great message one that should be shouted from the rooftops everyday to remind people to help out those truly in need of it. I don't have much I can give right now but if all things go well with me and crypto I will actively seek multiple ways to help my fellow humans. I am already brainstorming ideas but many of them stem with helping homeless people and those effected and caught in drugs.
108  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't Use Coinmarketcap on: January 09, 2018, 11:36:40 PM
Coinmarketcap is responsible for the recent crash because they started excluding korean exchange prices from their overall index.
Do you have more information about that?

Sure I has, you can read more here. https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinmarketcap-removes-south-korea-exchanges-ripple-market-cap-drops-20-billion.
109  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is education must-have nowdays? on: January 09, 2018, 11:31:06 PM
It is if you want to succeed in life but a formal education isn't necessary at the same time. You can get educated in trades or get a number of certificates that allow you to out earn your college counterparts. There are tons of opportunities today especially with how the internet now functions.
110  Other / Off-topic / Re: Laptop/PC Protection on: January 09, 2018, 11:26:00 PM
I liked using Avast but it was a trial or perhaps was AVG now I can't remember it was only for 30 days. I would like to think it helps a lot but I honestly think it helps less than we think it does. Main thing to protect yourself is to not click fishy looking links those are how most computers get issues with key loggers, malware, spyware and the lot.
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is selling your coins to buy during a dip smart? on: January 09, 2018, 11:15:26 PM
The amount that you have in your account in BTC will always remain the same in BTC. What changes is the USD amount which will then in turn change how much your BTC is worth.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: THREAD CLOSED on: January 01, 2018, 10:51:00 PM

The bounty will run until 12:00 EST today!

Just wanted to say thank you for letting me participate in the bounty it was my first campaign ever, I hope I provided some value to the CIF team. Congrats on the ICO, I look forward to see more of CIF in the cryptospace!
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BET! Biggest growth in 2018? on: January 01, 2018, 09:46:47 PM
Doubt XRB will because it already has gone up 100x, but agree it will be a worthwhile investment yet from start to end. The biggest growth coin will likely not be known to us yet and is anywhere from 200-400 on the marketcap list. I say this because they have the most space to grow as the top 100 coins already are worth a good chunk therefore 100x isn't possible for them.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: January 01, 2018, 09:36:11 PM
I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.

Don't be mate, no ship is ever going to sail smoothly. There will be ups and downs and this is a down in terms of mindset. If you put into perspective that everybody wants a piece of the market the forks will seem less scary but rather as an attempt at money. After that you should feel fine and calm that the real bitcoin will crush in 2018.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing market? on: January 01, 2018, 09:31:22 PM
Impossible to know what that will be right now but one could think that it would either be a privacy coin or a coin that focuses on zero fees for transactions because these seem to be popular as of late.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Token sale, will you buy it? on: January 01, 2018, 09:07:51 PM
I only yesterday found out they got hacked, sold, and running an ICO all in a weeks span. This would only happen in crypto such fast progression, I will look into it but I don't see why they are raising funds from the get go.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: December 29, 2017, 08:16:22 PM
Nope volatility is exactly what these markets need and it is what allows for humans to be able to make bad decisions as well as good decisions. I see it as a good thing because I am looking at the ceiling but if you view it negatively then the floor is a lot lower as well. It is a bit of both in actual practice but it depends on which camp you are from because some view it as necessary where others view it as unnecessary.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 29, 2017, 08:02:20 PM
Gonna sound simple and duh but the most money you will save is the money you won't spend. The quicker we learn this we will be worth more and more, something I learned from watching my savvy parents make it.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE PASSES ETHEREUM!! on: December 29, 2017, 07:54:08 PM
Haha you didn't buy in and your upset at that? I had a bunch of Ripple at 20 cents and sold at a slight loss at about 18 cents. It would have been a sick ride up for me had I held, goes to show the power of holding.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Planning to lend on Bitconnect? on: December 29, 2017, 07:48:52 PM
I can't give you a suggestion other than look into it fully before investing because many have said it is a ponzi scheme. If it is know that going in as you will need others to get in to make your profit.
