108  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transactions per seconds (help to calculate) on: May 06, 2018, 04:18:03 PM
To calculate how many transactions can be fit into these 17kB we simply need the average transaction size, which is 226 bytes. (Source: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/)

Average transaction size: 226 Bytes

17476,26666666667 Bytes/s /226 bytes  = 77,3286 tx/s

Source:
https://coinanalysis.io/how-many-transactions-per-second-bitcoin-cash/

Your using median transaction size, average transaction size is about 2x bigger, thats why 7tps is not good number to quote. Realistically its about 3tps because you have to use average transaction size for the math. Plus Bitcoin uses 1 000 000 Bytes blocks, not 1 048 576 Bytes.

Thanks for clarifying Smiley now i know how to count a more realistic TPS.

Have a nice day!
109  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transactions per seconds (help to calculate) on: May 06, 2018, 03:53:25 PM
I have counted like this (See below). Is this correct?

Block Time: 10 Minutes = 60 seconds
Block Size: 1 MB = 1048576 Bytes

1048576 Bytes / 60 s = 17476,26666666667 Bytes/s

Using this information we know that we an process up to 17476,26666666667 Bytes/s worth of transactions per second (on average).

How many transactions are this?

Hello,
I understand that Litecoin has higher TPS because of the blocktime (2.5 min) instead of Bitcoins (10 min) and therefor can handle more transactions.

What if Litecoin or Bitcoin had 1 minute blocktime, how many TPS would it be able to handle?

Bitcoin handles 7 tps
Litecoin handles 56 tps
1 minute blocktime = X/tps?

Thanks for helping, i'm kind of dumb and maybe pretty simple math for some haha  Smiley

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ONEA] Our New European Asset on: November 06, 2017, 07:06:57 PM
I wrote to the original Dev here regarding domain name and github account. He should still be around and perhaps we can arrange for a handover to keep the current infrastructure in place. Crossing fingers for the gang Smiley

Wish you all the luck MadMac and hope you can get the project/blockchain running Smiley the domain i had is free to use (purchase) and the github is deleted so also free to use.

Looking forward to see what you and the community can accomplish.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ONEA] Our New European Asset on: October 26, 2017, 06:30:02 PM

Sadly i have to a abandon this project because of personal reasons. But i would be glad to see anyone that want to run this project or take the blockchain further to do so.

All files are available on this server, so anyone can run the project further:
http://165.227.164.167

I will let anyone be able to download the files from the server above until 2017-11-30 (end of november)

What will happend now:
The 4 nodes i've been hosting will be taken offline. Would recommend someone to setup a node/several nodes if you want to keep to run the blockchain.

www.OurNEA.org domain/homepage will be taken down and be available for anyone to buy.

CryptoGods blockexplorer will be shutdown (so someone need to setup a new blockexplorer if you want to keep track of blocks and such)

Facebook page will be deleted.

I'm really sorry for this, but i give the opportunity for anyone to host/take this blockchain further. So i'm not just leaving this to die.

Sincerly ONEADev

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: October 14, 2017, 04:00:53 PM
Beware! Most of the ICOs are really unrealistic and it's not even possible to implement on current blockchain technology. I see alot of similarities of the Dot-Com bubble.
Many of you investing in ICOs will loose alot of money, and some will make profit.

Do your research before investing and be ready to loose all you invest, it's like investing in tech stocks before the Dot-Com bubble. If the ICOs not delievers you will see a huge dump in value and you will loose it all, see if they have a realistic roadmap and that it's possible to implement.

[Small update - 2017-10-06]
I thought i post before someone start asking questions.

Reason why you get (Syncing with network) in wallet now is because:
Our difficulty is quite high and the mining/hashing power is quite low now.

A blockchain can get stuck when the difficulty rises.
The difficulty is calculated (target timespan / target spacing) every couple of blocks based on the used mining power.

When the mining power drops the difficulty remains the same for a couple of blocks.
We need more time to mine the next block or more mining power.

We won't have this issue when our blockchain becomes stable.
We can do this by attracting more miners or mine more blocks.

Regarding the Whitepaper (will be posted during the sunday) and we are currently developing the WordPress Payment Gateway for WooCommerce, will be released during next week
