101  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Crypto Doubler - coin2x - coin2x.com on: February 19, 2014, 10:00:07 PM
Worked for me.  Two separate transactions, one with Leaf and the other with LTC.  Putting half of what they paid out back in.  I am curious how many times I can repeat this.

The chat box person came right out and said that it is a ponzi.  I found it refreshing, at least they are not putting on any airs.

you gotta keep with the original plan and delete the wallet, any other plan would show a lack of leadership in the coin, keeping them out there would make everyone second guess your judgement on anything related to the coin in the future I feel

+1 - I completely agree with this statement.

How do I update the wallet?  I have updated BTC and LTC wallets in the past, but they have an installer.  Do I just unzip the new wallet to the same location?  I am on Windowz.  Thanks!

I would be interested in a number of these to power some hardware.  Perhaps 10 or more.

I was eagerly looking forward to this and hoping it would be priced with a reasonable chance of ROI.

The problem with running an auction for the first machines (as happened with asicminer) is that there are enough people who don't care about ROI and just want to have new equipment that the price ends up being way too high.

The manufacturer then sees that people will pay $4500 for it and prices it accordingly.

^^ This...

what the hell?

you've all been completely fucked over, and you're all talking about buying their next gen chips?

are you mental? this is why we get scammed continually.

and stop being nice.. he has your money, he has your chips, and he's given you NOTHING

there isn't even any references, links, or documents, or ANY form of proof associated with anything that's been said in their "announcement"

120  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Build a miner using parts from sparkfun.com is it possible? on: July 06, 2013, 04:17:30 PM
I would need some detailed instructions in order to feel comfortable buying single chips and doing it myself.

It would be a pretty advanced hobbyist project (almost certainly not cost effective). Most people would buy the pre-built boards instead, which is much more sensible. Take a look a this thread for what's likely to be involved https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=228677.0

Yeah I've seen those posts all over. I did buy Steamboats/K16 chips/boards. Smiley
