Where's the proof for having the 50 BTC on the HD?
You could pull an arbitrary ancient broken HD from the waste and dump it from 50 metres, finally claiming that there was 300 BTC on it. As long as you can't recover the data, you can't proof that the 300 BTC wasn't there.

Will Apple really listen to a petition though? Hasn't there been petitions to get them to stop using metals mined by kids and unfair labour practises before? I think they'll only listen to money or people en-mass ditching their devices.
Apple don't care and they don't have to, because the walled garden (feature-crippled) iPhone still fulfills the needs of the majority.

I can't verify. Can you tell me which part of your proof is the correspondending text to the signature?

Bitcoin is Bitcoin. If I knew that the Bitcoins I received were stolen, I would simply put the Bitcoins in a mixer to (hopefully) recover the full fungibility.

I tried to follow the blockchain and noticed some of the Bitcoins from the address 17JtGPjxJtpNA2vqSbNAMLjBet2Q4s8Fpx went to 1CAnyj9TfJkNM8Xaf8EygMEhcfBcphtcr3 (14.38 BTC volume), then to 1BKzcoW2VfmWYTCgjjxcJLYRn3Nnfu1U4s (14.3 BTC Input) -> 1Facb8QnikfPUoo8WVFnyai3e1Hcov9y8T (~200.000 BTC volume) If I google "1Facb8QnikfPUoo8WVFnyai3e1Hcov9y8T", I get: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=383039.0I don't know if there's any correlation or useful information meaningful for you, but I tried at least ...

I was searching for the prefix 1ANoNYM but ended with 1ANoNYMURccWEEGMoMTozTtjBj7CmtRZdb. I don't claim that "ANoNYMURccWEEGMoMTozT" is a valid English word but it's still pronounceable I think (like "otohotohMoQoxHux")

1 ANoNYMURccWEEGMoMTozTtjBj7CmtRZdb 21 chars pronounceable I think (Read it like A-No-NY-MURc-cWEEG-MoM-TozT). If "zT" is not valid here, then it's still 20 chars. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90982.120 - This address belongs to Nikinger HCCpG8WMCSIIsD3UsXw9GBxpPhytcXL3iM4X7/UICPXv5Lw0g1Wu0Vu8o63fyaO7LvSuxybkS49pJwRm4b14dQw=

No. Preserving fungibility is too important to mess with. I wouldn't use a coin which is messed by some (wannabe) robin hoods. The opinion of the majority isn't always the right opionion.

If you store remarkable amounts, use at least a dedicated OS which cannot be tampered from your all-day OS. For really huge amounts use a second offline computer.

Go to http://brainwallet.org/ and take the key of the default passphrase "correct horse battery staple". This address has seen many double spend attempts in the past.

If the newbie only has $100 in fiat, 0.1 BTC is a very big investment but a very rich newbie ($1 000 000+) might say 10 BTC isn't very much.

No, because putting all the wealth in just one pot increases the danger of a total loss.

Look on the bright side, guys. At least BTC will be affordable again. BTC is always affordable as long as one Satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) is affordable

About one week ago I guessed that it will end like the 2011 bubble: Now it pops more quickly than I thought. Luckily I sold off 35% a week ago, recently another 30%. Probably I'll hold the remaining Bitcoins in the case of a positive surprise being happen.

Maybe we'll go that way? What's the difference between the bubble in 2011 and now? Because I fear repeating the 2011 bubble, I sold 35% of my Bitcoins.
