101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you long term or short term? on: April 05, 2018, 10:54:17 PM
I am trading once in a while because I have coins in exchanges. Sometimes I buy and just wait the coin to go up in value before I sell, of course I know it is in dip. Now, which is better, set it to your expected price so that when it hit you sold? O wait for the price to go up and sell even if it did not reach yet to your  target price? Thanks.

it is clearly depends on the coins. for example, ADA is good for long also LSK. but some coins like BTC is for trade in my own startegy.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's happening with CRYPTOPIA on: April 05, 2018, 10:53:06 PM
I've been reading a lot of bad things about this exchange lately, things like they've lost their bank backing, withdraws not happening and deposits taking days.
Does any one know what's going on? is the exchange burning out slowly or just overloaded?

Are people getting their money in and out eventually?

I've used this exchange in the past for new projects, few on there now I want to get in on but I'm a little concerned.

withdraw take some hours now, so if you want to withdraw and buy other coins that they are not listed in cryptopia you must try to withdraw 1 day before deciding to buy
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest me 3 new coins with high potential on: April 05, 2018, 09:22:49 PM
I am a waste lot of my time to check Alternate cryptocurrencies subforums to find new promising coins. too many ICOs which are very similar.
Is there have something like Lisk, Stratis, Byteball etc... but it's at the beginning?
I would like to hear any good suggestion and a short explanation why. It will be fine if we don't talk about the token.

If you mean the high potential coins for 2018 and also the newest i advise you to buy zil, Ada and so on for 2018.

- By hodling just bitcoin for two years
- By hodling various coins for two years
- By buying and selling every other month
- By going to ICOs and hodl
- By going to ICOs and dump
- Daytradig
- Going for the Airdrops
- Other....

Just let us know about your masterplan to take over the world!

Edited to add new options

i am using the hybrid method of that you wrote here. I have some BTC for long also some ETH for long and other coins. I buy some good ICOs and also trading when i feel can catch profit.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Wow...Ether is basically at November's prices.. on: April 04, 2018, 11:21:53 AM
Wow...Ether is basically at November's prices...do you think we will dip under 400 usd? At the same time, a lot of Ether based alts are actually holding their ground. Now THIS, I don't think I have seen before.

Usually, these alts follow the general market trend and/or BTC but even during the times BTC was relatively stagnant, if Ether went down, they followed the trend.

So what can be the explanation for what's happening now? Thoughts? Huh Huh

some governors like to kill crypto but i think they could not do it because many people live in this market. some news like ICO's banning news is the main reason of ETH dumping, but i hope that market will be stable again.

i think 400$ is the lowest prices for ETH because if it decreases more than this mining will not be affordable. so it is in the floor and can raise more in next days.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / is ETH very cheap now? on: April 04, 2018, 09:52:51 AM
I calculate the main prices of ETH and also BTC price regarding the mining process and costs. miners are the main people that affect the price of BTC and ETH. if the prices of coins will below the mining costs, the mining will not affordable. in general, if we consider the average prices of mining in all of the world, we conclude that the lowest prices of BTC is about 6000 to 7000$. and this amount for ETH is about 400$. so if ETH decreases more than 400$, the mining of ETH will not affordable and miners will migrate to other alts. so this migration will cause stopping the mining of BTC and ETH and also will cause the price of the transaction. in long-term, this causes the raising of the price for ETH and BTC.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many trades do you make daily? on: March 14, 2018, 11:45:17 PM
Thanks for any feedback!

It depends on some parameters, for example, the BTC prices, and this fact that market is red or green. sometimes holding is better. you must consider the direction of the market.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Real reason of falling down market. on: March 14, 2018, 11:40:15 PM
Is there any reason why there is such a situation in the merket? That's the worst scenario i've ever seen.

from the technical point of view, it is clear that BTC ended it's own 5th waves of Elliot so it must fall according to ABC waves mode. but if we investigate fundamental news effect, I think the newest conference of G20 cause of this falling.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Best Marketplace on: March 14, 2018, 11:36:12 PM
What is the best marketplace for Altcoin. I am asking this as many a sites are being hacked.

I worked on very various exchanges, but i suggest decentralized exchanges, some of the centralized exchanges are not automatic and have some problems. so I hope decentralized exchanges develop more and more to clients reach the crypto main goal, trading in P2P mode.
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Is Having a Crash But Stay Calm on: March 14, 2018, 11:33:28 PM
As we can see from coinmarketcap.com a sea of red coins in the market most likely because of the current event in South Korea. We don't have to worry about this, this news is just to create a FUD to its investor. What we can do now is just stay calm and do not panic sell. Everything will be back to normal. Here is the news about this, https://www.reuters.com/article/us-southkorea-bitcoin-law/south-korea-justice-ministry-prepares-to-ban-cryptocurrency-trading-exchanges-raided-idUSKBN1F00B7. Would love to also hear your opinion about this.

we have a strong support on 7500-8000, so do not panic sell and please check the fibo resistant and support lines. if do so, you will find out after G20 we have a good raising.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price fall after ICO on: March 14, 2018, 05:35:21 PM
Have there been any tokens where the trading price on exchanges at the very start fell considerably below the ICO price and has not recovered?

that is very natural because many people try to sell their tokens, after some minutes the market decrease and also price, other reason for this decreasing in prices related into BTC. in some recent days, BTC is falling and this will affect the market
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cloud mining on: March 14, 2018, 05:25:09 PM
What is the profit if i will buy mining ferm (in cloud) for 1000$? Maybe aproximetly profits it will be also great to know!

i think dedicate mining of crypto coins is very safer than other approaches. because sometimes there are some risks in that sites and cause to loss our mined coins

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why KYC is important? on: March 14, 2018, 04:05:32 PM
A lot of ICOs are facing a problem from their investors due to the KYC. Voluntarily complying with KYC regulations provides many advantages to the Offeror and its investors, even if they are not currently explicitly mandated to enact such a process.

1. Cryptocurrency exchanges are beginning to exclude cryptocurrencies that did not properly implement KYC processes. Thus, not running such checks poses a long-term risk to a project. The Financial Times reported that New York Stock Exchange-backed GDAX says it “plans to list only a fraction of the hundreds of new digital coins that have been invented this year”

2. Voluntary KYC compliance may help ICOs reach a larger global audience and expand the number of jurisdictions in which they can take place. Such compliance allows easier reach to investors in America, Britain, Canada and elsewhere.

There are other restrictions also imposed from SECs and banks which greatly limit the activity of the company in the future.

We know not everyone is happy about KYC and some people don’t agree with it ideologically, especially when it comes to cryptocurrencies, where transfers are anonymous, or at least pseudo-anonymous.

However, for the adoption to seamlessly occur, the company holding the ICO needs to have KYC, which otherwise will create issues for the company in the long run, which is bad for both the investors and the holder of the company.

KYC is not done by a company to know where their money comes from. To be honest, a company rolling out its ICO cares about the cash inflow and not about their identity. It is a means of due diligence so that they are not prosecuted by their country of operation.

there are so many reasons that make the KYC be important for example some countries has tax, then when you fill the KYC form they can track you easily. and also some of ICO's located in some region of the world that they catch tax from this companies and it is needed for them. but I think crypto created for people trade Per-2-Peer so KYC is not harmony with the initial goals of crypto
