I'm sure they'll be given new lives as spam/'ethical hacking'/folding boxes at some point.

I am new - but have been lurking for a long time. I have been watching developments on this along with the other builds - very impressive. I noticed that http://www.asic-chips.com/ is offering the boards with Burnin's design with the chips and is also located in Belgium. Does anyone on this thread have any direct affiliation with this particular site? Since he was accepting paypal I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I expect it'll be someone in this thread who's ordered chips and is waiting for the order website like the rest of us.

PM sent Sebastian I'll take 10 of the remaining chips from batch 6

You could sell me 10x chips and get 7x Bitburner XX's ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Jokes aside, there's a purpose for 10 chip miners (different miners mining different coins, selling devices, setting up in different locations etc.)

As far as i understood the board works with 10 or 20 chips. Not with any other number. There are 2 groups of 10 chips each. Thats why both boards are nearly the same price i guess. A bitburner x is only a bitburner xx with 1 instead both 10-chip routes enabled.
You know this for a fact? Yes the chips are logically organised in chains, but initial discussions were quite clear there would be two boards. Hence why I say, check with the man himself. I have sent burnin a PM seeking clarification. I bought 10 chips (all I could afford a the time) with the understanding there would be a 10 and 20 chip version. There's been no mention of the X version for some time now so I'm getting concerned, hence why I've asked a few times if the plans are still going ahead. But you're already trying to sell your 10 chips in the GB thread. No patience? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It was in response to other batches about to wind up, I didn't want to get caught out. Anyway... burnin has confirmed via PM that there will be 1 board. 10 chip versions are available by using Bitburner XX boards that are 'semi populated'. Thanks for the PM burnin, keep up the great work.

I ordered chips for a Bitburner X 4 weeks ago.
If it turns out there will not be a 10 chip model anymore I'm screwed.
why not buy some additional chips? They are cheap at the moment and a 20 chip model will be much more efficient and cost- effective. I've been trying to buy 10 chips from SebastianJu's 5th batch to complete a XX, with no success. If I order any new chips they will come from the 6th batch which have not been ordered from Avalon yet. It doesn't make sense having 10 chips 'wait around' for another 10 to come from the following batch. I'm better off selling the 10 I've ordered and start again. All I need is assurance that the 10x model is going ahead as per the first post. I've asked three times now, just need a yes/no! The chips are chained by 5x5 as i read. So stacking 10 chips on a 20 board should be no problem. (and then you can add later should you want to, batch 6 is ordered the other day). Agreed, it should work as a '10 on a 20 board' but I just need to be sure.
