101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ? on: November 14, 2023, 02:11:07 PM
What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ?  Where will this figure be if we consider worldwide users ? I think it will be somewhere between 10-20% ?
When it comes to Bitcoin investors who gamble it doesn't seem like there anywhere near 50% and I think 20% to 30% is decent number.
Crypto gambling is growing well and the majority of people who quickly discovered it are crypto players consisting of investors and traders.
It just that we can't determine for certain what truly accurate number is for the percentage of gamblers who are also Bitcoin investors.

Quote
Also, it is possible that most of gamblers are still not bitcoin investors ? I see  less chances of the later happening.
I sure all gamblers in crypto gambling are people who are quite experienced in the crypto world but not all of them will have Bitcoin investments but Altcoin investments may have higher percentage.
Bitcoin is an asset with high price and an investor with relatively little money would definitely prefer Altcoins as an investment asset to be able to get bigger profits if only with not too much money.

The conclusion is that not all gamblers will have investments in Bitcoin.

Yes, it's somewhere around 20% to 30%. Gamblers often tend to want to win immediately. They cannot wait like investing in Bitcoin. And gamblers often spend small amounts of capital, so their Bitcoin investment will not bring high profits. They will use that money to gamble or buy Altcoin. Because the profits are higher than Bitcoin and faster, the risk will be proportional to the gains.
The percentage of people who invest in Bitcoin are people with large amounts of capital. They consider investing in bitcoin to make profits, while they gamble for entertainment. And there are people who buy Bitcoin, but their primary purpose is to use Bitcoin for gambling.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 14, 2023, 01:20:36 PM
@Sithara007 what happened with Neymar was pure bad luck but I’m hoping that he’ll come back stronger because this is not a very demanding league and he can definitely thrive here. Also buying in the January transfer window doesn’t make much sense as they’ll be overpaying for their targets hence I hope that they will spend wisely by waiting for the summer transfer window.

Neymar is not going to come back to Saudi Arabia. You know that, right? He has been deregistered by Al Hilal and he has already flown back to Brazil. And I don't think that he will ever again get an offer from any of the Saudi clubs, after what he did to Al Hilal. Saudis will be very cautious now. For Al Hilal, there is a need to fill the vacuum left by Neymar, although Aleksandar Mitrović has been performing exceptionally well for them. I have a feeling that the replacement will be neither Osimhen nor Salah, but some less fancied player.
So is it possible that Neymar won't be able to return to Al-Hilal and what about the previously agreed salary? I was shocked to hear this news and indeed Neymar's behavior was a bit unfortunate and disrespectful to Al-Hilal who brought him from PSG. We know he is suffering from an injury and will be out until the end of the season but at least he is staying in Saudi to recover from his injury. But I also often see stories on his Instagram which are often with his newborn child and I don't know what will happen next for Neymar's career.

This has been agreed between both sides. Al Hilal cannot arbitrarily remove Neymar from the list. Al Hilal removed him from the roster for the 2023 - 2024 season to make room for recruiting a new star to replace him. Because he took a long break from playing, the team needed 1 free spot for a foreign player (8 sites, according to Saudi Pro League regulations).  Perhaps Jorge Jesus wants to bring in a left-back to replace Neymar. Not a striker like you said. Where Jorge Jesus felt insecure against two domestic players, Yasser Al-Shahrani and Saud Abdulhamid.

When Neymar takes an extended leave, will Al Hilal Club continue to pay all of this star's income? It can be seen that Neymar's future at Al Hilal is very bleak. Neymar's return sooner or later is complicated to predict.

103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: November 13, 2023, 11:25:55 PM
My strategy was different one,I had a record my loss in the spread sheet for every one week and on every Sunday. It help me to understand the correct amount of loss or gain per week in the gambling sites. But the same was calculated to the monthly basis and fixed my next month profit to the gambling site.Every month profit money was based on the two things, one is based on the loss in the gambling site on the previous month. The second was the money I had loss for the period of six months of the gambling in that particular gambling sites. The bad records will help me to fix the target of the profit on my next gambling for the next week in the gambling sites.
Such is a nice strategy for keeping your gambling records. I prefer to keep records of my performance as well because this would guide me through the strategies used in winning for which I have recorded. I think when it comes to improvement, this option of records keeping would improve your chances of better game strategy to winning than just the normal regular games and things.
To be honest, keeping records aids alot for one to know how far they have achieved their goals as a gambler and what they would need to do or develop to aid them while gambling or if possible to minimise the rate at which they gamble if it is excessively done.

Personally, I don't record winnings and losses. But I watch it on the gambling websites or apps I play. I even watch it hourly and weekly. I always remember the amount of money I deposited to play and the rewards I withdrew. Even though I don't write it down, I always remember clearly how much I spent and how much I earned when gambling. Because currently, I see gambling as a game to earn some spending money for my purposes. Luckily, I made a little money from gambling. It's not much. Because I am very cautious in investing, especially gambling, I do not dare to risk winning big.

Zinedine Zidane is a talented and excellent coach. During his time working at Real Madrid, Zidane achieved many essential titles. But who will convince him to return to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2024, when Carlo Ancelotti's contract expires? What could make him return as a coach?

Mbappe joined Real Madrid, Zidane rejoined Santiago Bernabeu. What do you think about the prospect of this teacher-student couple at Real Madrid? There will be thousands of questions surrounding the legendary Zidane. Grin
I haven't heard of Zidane's closeness to Real Madrid in terms of a contract, because if you talk about their closeness emotionally, obviously they have a close relationship. I don't know what Zidan's target is now, because he also never issued a statement or anything else about his coaching career. All I know is that he stil wants to take a long break from being a coach.
Now that  Carlo has been confirmed to be leaving the Bernabeu, it is clear that it will make a big question who will take over Real Madrid, and one of the names that have emerged is their former coach, ZIdane.

Yes. These are rumors and press reports that are just self-inflating. Zidane currently does not want to return to coaching. I personally speculate that only the hot seat of the French team can bring Zidane back to the field.
We and Real Madrid all know that Zinedine Zidane is the leading candidate talented enough to replace Carlo Ancelotti. But this is just our hope because this truth is unlikely to happen. Currently, Xabi Alonso is on Los Blancos' No. 1 target list to replace Ancelotti - who will likely leave the Bernabeu to lead the Brazilian national team in June 2024. Xabi Alonso is flourishing with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adaption in Turkey on: November 13, 2023, 11:02:15 PM
Bitcoin can exchange in turkey through different exchangers and ATMs due to the popularity of bitcoin in turkey but the turkish government is not completely regulated bitcoin as digital currency.
Turkey is one of the emerging countries which need to work on this technology because this can bring good fortune with huge investments as well which they needed in current era as we have many in developed countries in European Union.

Currently, restrictions and limits are having some problems for the common peoples but still they are doing impressive job and their current adoption is also on good run hopefully they will keep work on for the improvement of rules which will give more independence to peoples for joining this community specially as we are having good development in gaming industry things like these can bring good changes.

It's time for merchandise to bring this as payment system because this can bring more awareness, and surely, they will feel good after having this all with fairness and improvement in many other fields as well.

Is Türkiye an emerging country? I don't understand what you are trying to say. Cryptocurrencies became popular in Turkey many years ago and if I remember correctly, I also read a similar article about cryptocurrencies being very popular there in 2021. The main reason is said to be double-digit inflation there and people have looked to bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a solution. The people of that country have no other solution and consider cryptocurrency as the last solution. As for the government, they have never shown any interest in cryptocurrencies.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 13, 2023, 10:53:40 PM
We should still share bitcoin with everyone, but let's share selectively , only share with people who are really interested in bitcoin and listen to what we have to say instead of arguing or criticizing us. If we encounter these types of people , it's best to ignore them to avoid wasting time.
We only waste time with the people who aren't serious to know Bitcoin. Don't debate with them because they will never try to understand the truth!!
This is absolutely true: we don't need to waste our time with those people who don't know about Bitcoin, what it is, and what the main aim of this is. Because if we told them thousands of times every once, they would call it sccame or blah blah. They didn't know what the purpose of the Bitcoin invention was.

The fact is that they are not aware of what Bitcoin actually is, how it can be earned by investing in it, and how it can benefit. But in my opinion, it has become old-fashioned to say that Bitcoin is a scam. When Bitcoin created a new ATH in 2021–22, the whole world accepted that nothing good could happen from Bitcoin. Before that, people also said the same thing. We were that Bitcoin is nothing but a scam, but when Bitcoin made its new ATH, the first people who had this objection started investing. Said

So the meaning of the saying is that you should not waste your mind and time on these people, but you should leave them on their own and think about yourself. How can I get better knowledge and become rich by investing more? Become one because Bitcoin is not only a technology but also a better investment asset.

I agree with this, this is really outdated. At this point, if anyone still says that, it proves they are stupid and lagging behind the world. Or they are people who don't believe in bitcoin and now they think they missed out on bitcoin so they hate bitcoin and don't want others to invest in it like them. For these types of people, we should ignore them and don't try to argue with them because their ego is very big. Even when they know they are wrong, they still keep arguing with us, which only wastes our time.

108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Refer to my previous topic: "Investing plan" on: November 10, 2023, 05:07:22 PM
Greetings,

refer to my previous topic about ''Investing plan" (as this topic is closed to reply back) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473379.0 i wanna say thanks for this wise advises.

I believe future is for BTC and my investments will mostly on it. I wanna use Electrum as my main btc assets storing. As i heard exchanges is not safe for storing purposes.

Also my plan is to invest after that litle by litle for example from my income to invest 100-200$ in month.

Thanks again for all members who responded to  my previous topic.

I saw your thread a few days ago and I see you also got a lot of useful advice and I'm glad you decided to choose bitcoin over altcoins. The strategy of investing little by little is wise, but I need to remind you that investing in bitcoin still carries certain risks, so invest with what you can afford to lose.

Also, as some people mentioned, you should have a hardware wallet that holds those bitcoins instead of using Electrum, it's also safe but a hardware wallet will give you more security.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: November 10, 2023, 05:01:04 PM
Yes Crypto, Business, Real Estate every investment is fine and profitable but each investment require different amount of fund and different investment strategy. So different people invest in different things based on their financial status and plans. But if one invests in these 3 things then it will be better because one will cover the loss of the other.  It is always better to invest in multiple things rather than just one investment

Yeah, This is the real diversification of assets compare to holding different crypto currencies that behaves the same during bullish and bearish market. If I have a huge fund for investment then I will choose the same way of diversification since this 3 market is independent to each since they have different target consumer.

Funds is really the biggest concern here especially the real estate industry since it requires tons of money just to acquire properties to flip or rent just to get a steady income.

Indeed, real estate is still the most promising investment channel because it can both bring in passive income and can be held for a long time without fear of loss. But investing in real estate requires a large amount of capital and not everyone has it, so most will not choose real estate, and choose bitcoin. But the funny thing is that some people who don't have money to invest in real estate claim that they don't like real estate and that they just love bitcoin. Honestly, I don't believe people who say that, it's not that they don't like it, it's that they don't have the money to own real estate.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Simple Reason Why Bitcoin is not Money on: November 10, 2023, 04:52:28 PM

Not only that, it can also serve as an investment, a hedge against inflation and even turn us into our own bank without having to rely on anyone . Bitcoin is not just money, Bitcoin is also a versatile asset.
If Bitcoin is functioned as an investment, it is a common thing. In many countries, Bitcoin is already accepted if it is used for a digital asset (investment). The only thing that is still difficult to implement is to function Bitcoin as a legal currency. I've no idea about how to speed up the adoption of Bitcoin as a currency. But I think it will be easier if the pioneer country like El Salvador can succeed by making Bitcoin as a legal tender. Then, it probably triggers other countries to follow it.

Bitcoin is already theoretically a currency that does not require government approval. But to be able to become a legal currency recognized by the government, I don't think it will happen easily. Because most countries have their own national currencies, they have no reason to accept a currency they cannot control.

El Salvador has accepted bitcoin as currency but they still use USD as their main currency for payments, Bitcoin is just an alternative. Furthermore, they are also focusing on investing in bitcoin rather than promoting it as a currency.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? on: November 10, 2023, 04:45:42 PM
What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? What percent of people will agree to getting pension in bitcoin in your opinion  ? What will be the benefits and limitations of this occurrence in long term on people and economy ?

This not only brings no benefits but also causes controversy and fierce opposition from retirees. Firstly, not everyone knows about bitcoin, especially older people. Second: Bitcoin's volatility is also a barrier that makes some people not like to use it, so the government will face many difficulties if it applies this. But I don't think this scenario is possible because we all know that the government has never been friendly to bitcoin. They will never use it as a currency to pay people's pensions.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what if bitcoin becomes inferior on: November 10, 2023, 04:28:39 PM
I believe firmly that in the future a cryptocurrency powerful enough to take bitcoin's top spot is going to exist. And if it doesn't come out yet then that just means the world isn't ready yet. Bitcoin is great and all but it's so linear when it comes to use-case. You can only use it as a store of value, and as a way for you to transfer funds overseas which is something that most cryptocurrencies in the market could do anyway. So I say I'm pretty positive that bitcoin will be overtaken by a much more powerful crypto in the future, and that's okay. For instance, it means that the industry values innovation more than tradition, which could mean that crypto's future is going to look bright, another benefit we could take from this is of course, more chances for newer sets of crypto millionaires. See, we could only gain positive shit even if bitcoin does get to that point. Which is something that amazes me.
I also would not be surprised if in the future a better currency than bitcoin appears and threatens its top position, as we live in an extremely fast-paced world. But what more can you expect when it comes to bitcoin's use cases? Nothing in this world is 100% perfect and we need to be satisfied with what we have. We cannot demand that everything be truly perfect when we ourselves have many shortcomings. Furthermore, there have been millions of altcoins created but none of them can threaten bitcoin so I don't think that will happen anytime soon.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 10, 2023, 02:59:39 PM
And in this case we can't do anything and have to accept it because technological developments can change anything significantly. And those who play the most role in preventing our children from getting involved in gambling are parents who must always pay attention to their children when using gadgets and playing with anyone, and not carry out gambling activities in front of their children.
Technology development has brought us good and bad influences at a young age. But as we can see, too sad that even kids know about gambling at a very young age due to ads everywhere which is not supposed to happen. I couldn't blame the actions/response of the government but it was too late already what these gambling companies had done already. Even the government will forced to ban ads but since they still allow gambling in their place or country, these kids will find and learn it.

This is sad for the current technological development and needs to be paid attention to. Sometimes, it is beneficial, but its downside is alarming. We cannot stand by and accept it. The government needs to intervene and strictly manage. Even parents should supervise their children themselves. We know that children cannot fully understand the harmful effects of gambling.
What do you think about children becoming addicted? They will steal money from their family and practice lying. And when they get into trouble as teenagers, what will their future be like?
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 10, 2023, 04:22:12 AM
Avoid being emotional. I guess that's the number one thing. If you are emotional, you will be carried away by joy, greed, despair, etc. If you are winning and you're very emotional, you could end up losing everything. You think you're lucky and would continue to play even after winning big already. Or if you lost, you could be angry and you would chase your loss and try to recover it. This emotion is equally damaging. You would go home with a bigger loss.

Yes, gamblers need to keep their emotions as normal as possible. This is one of the main factors that can impact players. They will constantly chase bets that lead to losses. The desire to continue gambling is uncontrollable, regardless of the amount of money the game costs and the impact on their lives, gradually becoming addictive if they cannot control their emotions. And I want to remind players one more thing: to play with the amount of money you are willing to lose. Do not use money saved or spent for other purposes to gamble. If you lose that money, you will try to get it back by betting more, and as a result, you will become addicted.

After Real Madrid's 3-0 victory over Braga, coach Ancelotti became the coach with the most victories in the Champions League. The victory over Braga was his 116th win in the Champions League, breaking the record for most wins by a coach in the competition. It's an honor to achieve so many victories in the Champions League. Ancelotti also holds many other records in the Champions League, including being the only coach to win this tournament 4 times. But this could be his last season in the Champions League. If Real Madrid loses him, this will probably be a big loss for them. Who will be capable of shouldering this great responsibility?

Hello Community,

I have 1500$ and i want to invest it crypto as holdings. What do us suggest invest it all on BTC or alts? Thanks

Bitcoin is definitely the choice and will be the advice you get the most because people here are mostly bitcoin maximalists. But if you post your question to the altcoin board, I think the answer will be a little different. Therefore, you should decide everything instead of listening to what others say. If you don't have enough knowledge to choose which coin is right for you, you should stop investing and don't invest just because someone else tells you to. Even if you buy bitcoin, you won't be able to keep it for long without knowledge.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 08, 2023, 04:19:01 PM
Man City is a complete team. Man City is showing its strength by winning all matches without losing a single game since the beginning of the season. They have reached the knock-out round. Currently, their strength has remained the same compared to last season. Pep Guardiola and the whole team can firmly defend the championship this season. But are Real Madrid and Bayern Munich the only teams that can stop Man City.
Real Madrid seems to be transforming successfully when young players are the mainstay. Bayern Munich's attack can cause difficulties for any team in the tournament, especially when Harry Kane is scoring as effectively as he is now. Can these two teams stop Man City?
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 08, 2023, 07:53:52 AM
Atletico Madrid have never lost to Celtic. The home victory in this match brought Atletico closer to a ticket to the Champions League knock-out round. Defeating Celtic 6-0 helped Atletico win with the most significant margin in Champions League history. I couldn't imagine this match would have so many goals. Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata had a brilliant day when each star scored a double goal. The remaining two goals belonged to Samuel Lino and Saul Niguez. Atletico Madrid has now risen to the top of Group E with 8 points.

Bad news is still coming from the Manchester United camp and this time it seems like Jadon Sancho's fate is hanging in the balance because he has been removed from the Manchester United WhatsApp group. This follows because Jadon Sancho's dispute with Erik ten Hag has not subsided since several months ago and perhaps it is becoming clearer that he will not be able to return to Manchester United's first team.

I don't understand why this dispute has not been resolved until now and when Manchester United is in a slump, Jadon Sancho should be able to think more maturely so that he can end this dispute and be able to strengthen Manchester United again. But it seems that Jadon Sancho doesn't want to make peace with Erik because of the attitude he has taken. Jadon Sancho seems to have no hope of ever returning to Manchester United and we are likely to see him leave sooner than later this winter.

The club is going through a tough phase and all ten Hag does is chase his players who will be useful. Both player and manager are stubborn it will only  take a few months and days for negotiations to begin over the sale of Jadon Sancho who has not featured for Man United over two months now. Jadon Sancho I assume is set for leave because  if he wasn't  he will do all he can to make sure his apologies  goes round  so he can join  the squad quickly.
The signals are clear Man United have issues  with chance creation if ten Hag also wants the player in that would have been done the players he choosed are also not giving their all for the team.

The stormy relationship between Sancho and Ten Hag still shows no signs of abating. Sancho and Ten Hag have become a "stalemate." This player has no way back, even if he decides to apologize. Ten Hag's consecutive punishments make his future at Old Trafford increasingly unclear. Leaving would be a good option for Man Utd and the talented young English midfielder.
However, if Man Utd wants to sell Jadon Sancho, Man Utd will also face many difficulties. Not many clubs are willing to recruit this midfielder at a high price when he has been out of action for so long, and his performance has dropped significantly compared to when he played for Borussia Dortmund. MU may have to sell at a loss equal to half of the money they bring in.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 8k for passive income. on: November 07, 2023, 12:49:05 PM
I have 8k worth of crypto how to invest

This amount to get 10 or 20$ per day safe methods

I tried future trading and lost

Is there any methods related to crypto or something else
And i dont want to invest in altcoins or buying

LOL, you are so greedy OP. Having initial capital is an advantage for you over others but that does not mean you will be able to make money passively with this market. This market does not offer risk-free methods of generating passive income. If you are willing to lose 8 thousand dollars in exchange for passive income, you can stake on centralized platforms. I think there will be some platforms that can offer the APY you want but in return you can also lose that $8k at any time. That's the price you need to trade if you don't want to work but want to make money quickly and passively.
