101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoincard.org on: June 05, 2012, 12:36:28 PM
IF I could get them right now I would take 6 (maybe 15 and try to sell the idea to the rest of my family). BTW Im they posted a new video recently which demonstrated a bitcoin transaction.

I dont see why anyone is complaining about not backing them up or them getting lost. They work exactly like a debit card or one of those green dot cards. You load it with as much money as you need. Every month youd put 500BTC on the card to refill it for daily use. You shouldn't be carrying around your life saving in your pocket! You dont do that with cash or your debit card now, itd be silly to do that with this device.

mattewN when are we getting more information about that bitdex?

PS. Im already upset that it doesnt talk to me all the time like a pokedex Sad

103  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Paying 6.9% per week... small accounts welcome. on: June 05, 2012, 01:11:28 AM
I can log in and I received interest as well. It looks great simple with everything I need to know.

Yep, I see it.  Thanks Smiley

Weirdly I can't log into the site from my work (it just refreshes the login page).  Not sure what's going on there but it works at home and on the phone so I guess it doesn't matter Smiley
your using your forum username and your private deposit address?
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1996: HOW TO MAKE A MINT: THE CRYPTOGRAPHY OF ANONYMOUS ELECTRONIC CASH on: June 05, 2012, 12:00:57 AM
It was discussed on the cypherpunks mailing list, years ago, when it first appeared.
yup.

Bitcoincharts currently has a nice link up about the history of crytocurrencys I found that an interested read.
105  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [GAUGING INTEREST] 8-bits IRL on: June 04, 2012, 09:04:31 PM
I have no idea for the price. Im trying to think of a way to have it shipped. They can sometimes be fragile I guess he would need to find a skinny box or take 2 pieces of card board and tap them flat around the design.

Yes that dragon is rayquaza.

edit: That bulbasaur looks great, if he wants to get rid of it. If he could make an on nom from cut the rope(not sure what pose yet) that would be cool. Too bad he is out of green perler beads :<
106  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE - request for next features on: June 04, 2012, 08:33:30 PM
The charts should only show trades from the past 30 days. the "mini chart" which is a blue line even says 30 days but it shows since the beginning of glbse 2.1 or from when the ipo was launched if it was after glbse 2.1

I guess above could be considered a bug. I like if we could get chart options for 1wk/1mnth/1yr/all time
107  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Memory foam mattresses, valued at $2700 USD for $400 USD worth of BTC on: June 04, 2012, 06:23:18 PM
If its made of foam then its not stuffed. Can I saw one in have and use it for 2 separate twin size beds? They are both against walls so Im thinking I could put the sawed half up to the wall so the edge you roll off of is still curved. Damn I guess that voids the 20yr warranty too.
108  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [GAUGING INTEREST] 8-bits IRL on: June 04, 2012, 06:16:25 PM
I remember perler beads from my childhood. Those pieces look great. I could possible see myself buying 1 or 2. How much do they cost?
109  Economy / Lending / Re: 3500 BTC, 2 yr loan on: June 03, 2012, 05:22:59 PM
Seems like its not going to happen in bitcoins. I was on my way to the bank to get a 16k loan but I may wait a little bit now, too many things are cooking in hardware development with FPGAs and ASICs. By the end of june it looks like a lot of information will be relieved.
110  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Scammer Alert! on: June 03, 2012, 01:16:14 AM
Then this thread is point less. You didnt tell us anything.

Even if you had 100 successful transactions people have 90 days to charge back. Its against paypals TOS to sell bitcoins. You will get more scammers over time, the best you can hope for is a low ratio.

111  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MORE Pirate Pass Through Bonds! on: June 02, 2012, 11:49:12 PM
I'm not sure if I cancelled a buy order that I had outstanding for 100 shares of PPT-C @ 1.18 or not, if I missed doing that what happens to any orders after the sell back, are they just cancelled & the reserved funds made available in one's account again?
They are suppose to be cancelled and the funds returned. There was a bug where the funds weren't returned to your available amount but still make up part of your total balance. Im not sure if this bug was fixed, check it by hand. Add the funds you have out in buy orders and your current available amount and see if it matches your total balance. If it doesn't you'll need to PM nefario.
112  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Ideas] I have two ideas and I want to see if these would interest the community on: June 02, 2012, 10:41:37 PM
I believe 2 times already exists that accomplish your 2nd proposal. Im not sure if they are still active or used but I remember seeing them 8-10 months back. I guess if they were successful they would still be known.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I suspect GPUMax was compromised and passwords stolen on: June 02, 2012, 05:51:19 PM
Im sure he also asked if they had other accounts besides GPUmax. From what I see he did nothing wrong. He even tried contacting pirate, when he got no response he gave a warning to the community.

I'd love to use two factor auth, but I don't even have a cell phone. Are there other ways to do two factor auth? And are there any plans to implement them soon? I hope so.

I dont remember where I saw the link but recently nefario posted a link to google auth desktop version.
114  Economy / Goods / Re: [AUCTION] mining rig {68 BTC donation inside} ends today < 12 hours left!!! on: June 01, 2012, 09:03:02 PM
Not bad lolwut 2BTC for participating in an auction. Winning would of been nicer but free bitcoins is good too.

congratz ciuciu

damn I should of stayed up for this I thought the price was going to end around 150BTC. 12:00:00 is midnight I dont see how there is any confusion. Winning price is 127BTC.

The new confusion is, the auction ended over 24 hours ago by the auctions end time, Midnight on May 31st was actually not last night, but the night before. Last night was Midnight of June 1st

*Grabs some popcorn*

ORRR if you really can't decide, you can always just give them to me, I'd be happy to pay free  Grin
No its not. midnight is still part of that day. The second after midnight is the next day.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Bus - We will print it on a real bus! on: June 01, 2012, 08:35:18 PM
The giant bitcoin looks great on the back.

4.8k BTC for the whole bus is a lot. Many we should only purchase pixels on the back.

What is the brand name of these memory foam mattresses?
+1

Where are you getting them? Take some pictures of them if you have a stock room full of them.
118  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Trade Bitcoin Options - BitcoinOPX.com [UPDATED] on: May 31, 2012, 10:42:42 PM
-Id like to see 2 factor auth added. preferable something free for users, google auth, or anything else you find suitable would be good.

-I dont like my password being set by you. Id rather set my own password phrase. I dont even like being required to use a number or symbol but I would be fine with that if we can set our own. With you setting our passwords many people are going to be storing there password in notepad or some easy to access unencrypted file for ease of access.
That isn't a problem; no malware is going to waste time trying to log in with every file on a computer.
Its still not ideal.

How can you call it fee-free if your changing a 1% withdrawal fee?
