Hey Ranlo!  Grin

Awesome site you've made there! very useful for collecting little chunks without having to go through 100 bookmarked sites lol
My only suggestion would be on some faucets you can add ?a=BTCaddress
to the end of the website's url to auto fill the box for you. (if you bookmarked the ?a= address.)

If you could tell your textbox to add it's entry to the sites in the iframe's url that would be an awesome little addition!  Cheesy

Regardless, very useful site!

Hey there. Thanks for the heads-up! I didn't even realize it was possible to have it autofilled. Going to test this locally and if all goes well, consider it done!

exploit my info and put some-ching in my account pink!!!i'm sick of clicking!lol

Block 93,300 just ticked over.

Can we get a final payout/contribution sheet?

I'm curious how many total shares we have now that round 24 is over.  TIA.

Update! Added ABitBack to the listing of sites you can run rewards up on while you do the faucets. This one pays for listening to music (and filling out a captcha on the music site each 10m)! Can be done while doing anything else as well, so you can go about your business and just fill in the captcha's real quick every once in a while. Or enjoy the music!

If there are any questions, please feel free to ask, Smiley.

Question for the senior board members.

Who came up with devcoin's motto:  From many - the Source.  From the Source - The One.

That's so unbelievably brilliant. I'm rarely impressed by logos or mottos but this one is so perfect and has so much deep meaning.  I simply can't think of anything that would make it better.

That said, the logo collection I've seen so far is lacking. Not even close to matching the motto's uniqueness. Can we get the same mind who thought of the motto to think of a coin design?

Feathercoin's simple "IC chip" coin design beats all of ours (and it has a lame feather on it for crying outloud) and I don't see why Devcoin can't have the best looking coin.

And no, finshaggy, no devil coin design (lol).  But it's funny cause the first time I saw the name devcoin I too thought of the same thing. I wonder how many people see DEVcoin and think: devil.  Lol, seriously.  That much more reason we need a beautiful coin design.

that's not going to help because when you launch the client a bitcoin logo pops up only there to trick noobs also if the code was mailed to someone to scam them!jmho

You must have the old client. I downloaded the new one a couple weeks ago and it has Marti's green Atari looking green Devcoin (D) logo.  It's a much better client with the option to encrypt your wallet so you should get it.  It's in devtome's site, there's numerous links on this thread for it, including one from fuzzybear.

I have a lot of real world items to sell, would selling in Devcoins help increase their value?

It should, as it gives a value to them. The more value we give to them, the more they will be worth.

Even cash, such as USD, has no true value. It has perceived value, because people are willing to accept it in return for goods and services.

Look I don't want to bet with you because you were the one that is full of shit. If I can bet that everyone will pay 100% of what I asked, if you somehow can figure out the logistics of such a bet I will bet up to 1,000BTC. You are impatient, wait a few days and then you'll know for sure whether I will do something with the info or not.

Make it easy on yourself.  Let's bet 10btc you can't do a thing to me.  I'm your guinea pig.  Post here what you are going to do.  Something very very very bad Smiley

I completely agree. As one of the writers, I am against the dumping mentality. It's only going to hurt things. If everyone is dumping, that's a sign that nobody wants the currency. If nobody wants it, there's no value. If there's no value... it's worthless.

We have to get demand up while decreasing the supply (less selling!).

You are looking at it all wrong. Dumping is a sign of nothing but greed.
There are people buying those dumped coins at a great value.

And we actually need more selling, not less selling. But the selling needs to be set at 1 penny.

But right now supply is overwhelming the demand, so the demand is lowering. This is the big thing we need to fight right now.

If we had some real use (most coins are running their own stores now) for the coins, that would give something to use them for. As it is, they're basically just there.

I love the principles behind DVC. I'll continue standing behind it. But the marketing of it (in regards to giving each coin a true value) is really lacking right now.

All you can do to fight is buy the cheap coins, and post them for sale for 1 penny.
Or make videos.
Or share on facebook.
Or share on twitter.
Or tell your friends.

Also could whoever else is posting on this account please let me know before you send anyone a PM. And stick to the plan or your not getting your share.

And to mlawrence, we have everyone's IP. We embedded a hidden image into the PM's we sent everyone. When your browser opens the PM it requests the image from our server and gives us your IP. You are the one who is full of shit

Also I'm not backing down on the bet. I want to bet that everyone will pay up, if you can find a way to make that bet verifiable and safe for both of us then I'll take you up on it.

Many thanks. The devcoins came through. Much appreciated.
This is my first experience with devcoins, and I only downloaded the wallet program (is that the right terminology?) today onto my desktop pc. It obviously works.
A couple of questions:
If I also install the wallet/program on a couple of laptops I use, would they use different devcoin addresses, or would they somehow use the same address I now already have?
Secondly, as someone who loves writing, I've registered with devtome.com. I'd love to be able to submit a few thousand words (each month ... each ... what period?) and get devcoins in return. I sent a message to fuzzybear to say I'd registered. Do I now just wait for him (?) to authorize my account so I can then get on with submitting some written work?
All the best.

DVC has becoming less and less valuable, is nobody buying this coin anymore?

I'm still accumulating it but I'm gonna wait a couple weeks for it to bottom. So far I bought at .00041 and at $.00021.

Now is actually prime time to buy, since people are getting paid the price is just dropping and dropping.

It's funny that it is just limited number of people who are writing that actually are doing the dumping, yet those are the same ones who believe in the project enough to write.. they certainly love that price is above 0 so they can recieve something for their writing however we need to show them that there is a reason to HOLD instead of dumping and they will get far more $$ in the future than what you would get today. In that way DVC is more of an investment tool aswell as a means to get paid for work. When this happens you shoudl see price will only go up, as there are more and more people willing to chip in minor amounts to buy... it adds up over time.

The miners who do shared mining and dump as soon as they get any DVC are another story, I'm not sure how to give them incentive to hold the dvc, but I suspect that unless your using an ASIC right now you won't be moving the market much with your mined DVC so they are really a small part of the problem.

I'll be working on that through Youtube and facebook soon.

your DEVCOIN scam being reported to youtube and faceb00k shareholders!!!!

Launch Date: June 12, 3 AM Forum Time(UTC)

Website: ARGCurrency.Org
Initial Distribution : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=232346.msg2447050#msg2447050
Online Wallet: https://wallet.epools.org

Argentum is the Latin name for the element silver. It is the perfect name to represent this currency and the potential it has with a dedicated development team. Argentum is fast, unique, and secure. We have learned from many of the past crypto-currencies and created one that can rival any. Argentum brings innovation and experimentation that pushes the limits. The website, marketplace, and exchange are under construction and will be launched soon after Argentum.

Specifications

General
-Scrypt
-Optimized client

Blocks
-Block size increased to 10mb
-Signature operations per block maximum increased to 100k
-32 Second block time

The first two features are on the bitcoin hardfork wishlist. We wanted to create the first cryptographic currency with almost unlimited scalability. The signature operations per block were not increased as much as block size because it is unnecessary and theoretically unreachable as is.

Difficulty
-Re-targets every 250 blocks

Currency Creation
64 million total ARG. Once this limit is reached, it is increased by 1.1% annually, the rate of human population growth.

Fair launch:
We opted for a fair launch to let everyone start mining at the same time.

Block 0-500: 0 ARG
Block 500-1000: 1 ARG
Block 1000-1500: 2 ARG
Block 1500+: block reward random from 1-5. This sort of configuration is more realistic and adds additional security to the network by adding more variability. It also discourages difficulty hopping.

Random block rewards: Rewards are not completely random but deterministic random. Argentum uses the last block hash as a seed to generate a "random" number. The same number always results from a given seed so the network will stay synced.

Security
-Mined blocks mature after 30 confirms: Argentum is a fast currency but it does not compromise the safety of the blockchain in the process.

Ports
Listen port: 13580
RPC PORT: 13581

Development
There will be blocks mined for funding an upcoming currency exchange platform, marketplace, and a gaming platform as well as development of a foundation to support Argentum. More details will be announced.

We will be distributing 25 coins to the first 1000 people to post in the initial promotional giveaway thread as the use for the first 25,000 coins. We believe this will help create  a balance in the economy and add value to the currency. We will hold more distributions as we believe a currency has more value in the hands of many people instead of in the hands of the select few with the most hash power at the start.

Team
We have a team that will build core services and useful applications for Argentum. We welcome anyone to join the team and help with development.

Core Programmers: 2
Web developers : 2
Graphic designer: 1

Mining
You can either solo mine or mine in a pool.

Solo
1. Launch the wallet after following the setup guide above
2. Configure your miner to connect to your local IP (Examples: 192.168.x.x:13581, 127.0.0.x:13581) using your RPC details.
3. Launch your miner.
Example:  Example: cgminer.exe -–scrypt -o LOCALIP -u RPCUSERNAME -p RPCPASSWORD

Pool
1. Create an account at a pool. It is not necessary for P2pool as you will use your ARG address to receive payment.
2. Create a worker if you are not on a P2pool.
2. Launch your miner
    Example: cgminer.exe -–scrypt -o POOL.COM -u POOL.USERNAME -p POOLPASSWORD
    Example P2pool: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o P2POOL.COM -u ARGENTUMADDRESS -p ANYTHING
