I made an inspection about pools and making a post about them: Signing up mandatory pools:Currently, only pool asks for signing up is the Animal pool. Voters share the all pool income. https://semux.info/poolThey are taking %25 for a fee. Anonymous pools:General 01-02-03-04 they are all individual pools and the fee they are taking %20 (%18 for themselves %2 donate to the developer of the pool manager.) Semuxpool_com and Semuxpool_com2 are taking %20 Mddsemuxpool - Mddsemuxpool2 are taking %20 Semux_pool_party are taking %8 100_tokenpar_com is currently only giving %0.5 to semux dev and share the rest of it. Pool_borderline is taking %6.3 (%6 for himself, %0.3 for the developer of the pool) lvl3pool is taking %6 pool: dragon tiger tent nightfee:5% minimum payout:0.5 payout time: UTC 12:00 Pools unknown: cn_pool i think it is Chinese and requirements are unknown. There is not any information about. I think even with the 1000 delegator fee, above %15 is too much and I'm not voting for them. Probably they will take lower fees when they get 1000 back but still, it is high. When voting put this %'s into consideration. If a pool has 30.000 votes but takes %25 as a fee means it has 40.000 votes. So even 39.000 votes pool with %0 fees would be better. Ps: If anyone has some information about cn_pool please let me know and I can edit the post. I tried to find out their fee from the share they give out but couldn't be sure. Updating

A constructive post is one that constructs a point of discussion, such as a thoughtful question, a useful answer to such a question, an argument in a debate, or an interesting opinion. The length of the post is immaterial, as it's possible for a even a single word to be constructive, while an essay-length babble of useless or off-topic non-information is not constructive. Posts such as "I like this", "This is good", "+1", without actual information to justify those opinions, are especially non-constructive and are deleted on sight, and the posters will be banned if they persist in making such useless posts.
It's subjective. A constructive post is (IMO) a post that adds to the conversation/answers a query whilst still having effort put into it. It's difficult to define, however it is not difficult to distinguish. Low quality posts tend to repeat things that have already been said (either in the thread or in their post) to stretch out their post length/count, or say things that have no relevance to the thread /conversation (E.G saying something like 'I hope the price stays high' in a Speculation thread). I started a similar thread to this a while back, of you would like to read it. Members has different thoughts about the constructive post; but a post that can be creative and add value can be a good start.

Any ideas on how to resolve?
Maybe something with network or internet connection? I had same issue. Issue was with port 5161 . Configure your MAC/PC for DMZ. It will sync again. Limit DMZ hosting only for wallet sync.

Single currency like Bitcoin can be ideal way for the cross border travels and transactions. Europe has single currency. Does make sense for the world.

Just posting or Facebook share is OK for short term; but becoming Block chain developer and working on ICO can result in big bucks. Also can be more rewarding in terms of the growth.

I don't know what is purpose of your post and, of course, so many same threads of other users. Spotting those activities will lead to permanent ban for those accounts or not. I guess not, simply because the current merit system has not pointed out those ones as violated activites.
Therefore, they are legal. The fact is merit system should be adjusted a little bit to control users from trading sMerits officially like those ones, which result in likely official abusement merit system.
Another thing should be considered is that whether we should have limitations on maximum number of sMerits to send or received each day for each user, and from each users to another.
sMerits limit for given day and limits for each user can be good way to balance merit rating. If the idea behind merit system to promote community and quality post then limits will be the ideal way.

Now the new farming happening on Bitcointalk. The talk is all about Merit farming. It is good thing or bad we will come to know in due course of time.

Hello Friends,
What is the best way to protect account and validate if account get hacked?
|
|
|
Since the merit system is introduced in the forum, everyone is complaining about someone getting merit points for none deserving posts & someone not getting merit points for deserving posts. If the main motive of this forum is to introduce quality in the forum then they have to ban multiple accounts rather than giving a merit system from one peer to another peer. If these things can't happen, then they have to introduce a panel of experts who will give merit points to quality posts without any discrimination. This will introduce stability and people will actually work for the quality with proper power. What do you think??
Still unable to understand what is meaning of title of this thread? We will need governance not KYC. Members on this thread love their privacy.

What I heard on the forum is that merit is open system and merit will be governed. Abuse of privilege of giving merit will be monitored. Forum members are alert and they will spot abuse.
|
|
|
If so, does this imply that all non-merit sources are allowed to sell their merit? That's still kinda concerning. In law, everything that isn't illegal is allowed. I think theymos doesn't want to moderate sales, just like scams aren't moderated. So far, the community has been giving red trust for likely Merit trading. I can imagine a Merit seller will at some point offer a complete package: 1. A high quality post to post 2. Merit on that post If this happens, it will be very tricky to find. Excellent thought that merit system will improve forum quality ; but has to go with governance . We will need good governance system to create creditable merit system.

It is really annoying to see this huge spam in the Altcoin Bounty section every day. Many questions go under in the flood of these posts. Why don't they use Google forms for that? Please ban: - "Facebook & Twitter report" posts
- "Proof of authentication" posts
- "Reserve for XXX translation" posts
I have a lot of expirience joining some bounties in the Altcoins Section. Regarding with the social media bounties. The report should be only in one single post for all of the weeks. But some of the participants are not following some rules thats why some bounty threads are bumping everytime. That's only the cause of spam in bounty threads and that is the only thing should be prohibited. Google report forms make it easy for the applicants to submit their reports every week and also for the managers to check it. It could also avoid crowded post of reports in the bounty threads. Its pleasant to see threads that are all arranged. Google Doc will be ideal platform for the Facebook and twitter report. Posting on Bitcointalk has no value addition to forum members. But again it create more value in bitcointalk since everyone know know that it is important forum for their ICO to get community participation.

Why people always forget this is a forum and place to communicate with other participants, but not a rank-obsessed rpg. Just try to leave behind all these badges and enjoy your time here.
PM me in 3 weeks please bud. Given you one for now as I think you have potential to level up and I am pretty sure you are not a pajeet farmer We all are diehard bitcoin fans. Does merit or ranks change that? Does someone with 500 merit will be more closely following the block chain principles than those with 100 merits? We will see in due course of time with matrix about spam controls on these threads and what other communities think about bitcoin talk as whole ecosystem.
