Important ROI coin update:

We had a ghostly bug in the wallet that was causing 2 issues for some Windows users.

Issue 1 was a hard app crash when doing a term deposit and issue 2 was when solo mining from the wallet the wallet miner would shut off. We have corrected both of these issues and also added some other improvements.

Additionally, we have added a bootstrap download to help you speed up the initial synchronization of the block chain. While this is not a hard fork and this update is not mandatory we highly recommend that you go ahead and download and update as soon as possible.

You can get the downloads from our website at https://roi-coin.com/roi-coin-downloads or if you prefer you can also get the downloads from Github at https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases

Just a reminder/suggestion to update version on explorer web site (top left corner) and maybe make it clickable to transfer to the web site where people can download the latest version.

@cobfor:

lol nice try

I was not joking. Check this:  http://coinspool.cu.cc/info_roicoin

It does show hodl algorithm. Low difficulty and it's easy to mine with regular computer and solo mining. It's just on exchange though ( https://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-ROI.htm ) but its' worth more than HODL.

HODL right now is 0.00000016 BTC and ROI is around 0.0000004 BTC. I have a feeling that someone took HODL coin system and idea and created ROI coin.

I started mining HODL until I realized that people are abandoning it. Too bad. I liked it. Someone told me to check similar type of coin which uses same hodl algorithm and term deposit system.

That's what I am mining for the last 2-3 weeks

I noticed something interesting and I was wondering if someone can shed some light on it. I'm just curious.

I am mining in pool for a few weeks now and suddenly now there is address RDq*************** mining on over 100+ KH which is double than all others have together. I would assume that someone has a mighty machine(s) to get that hashes  but I am more baffled that this address balance is always on 0 (ZERO) coins. Average daily income should be around 40K coins so either something is wrong or this address is getting so many coins that pool can not keep track of it.
No magic here. This address has ~50% hashrate of the round. if a block become available (after 360 confirm), he got ~60 roi from reward. thats mire than the payout limit, so his coins are sent out immediately, so his balance is 0. (=no coins are waiting for payouts)

That's very educational. Thanks for clarification Elbandi.

That's 1 GB RAM (memory) requirement but these days no computer has less than 4GB anyway.(I hope so).

I think the pool is still in trouble. I still do not get anything in my wallet after fork.
I have received ROI from the pool, post fork. So it seems to be working.

Please take note that your stats on the pool can be a bit confusing.

You can only see your stats while you are actually mining. Furthermore the 360 blocks confirmation time (12-16 hours of mining) creates a delay in your stats which can be confusing. Also the pool pays out 20 ROI per transfer(sometimes a bit more) so if you start mining now, it will take 12-16 hours before your stats even start counting any ROI. As soon as it reaches 20 it will then make a payout. And if you stop mining at this very point, it will keep paying out for another 12-16 hours. The time between payouts is then dependent on your hashrate and the difficulty at the time of mining.

The difficulty changes a lot during a day, so don't expect your payouts to be with the same time interval. It will change during a 24-hour period.

I hope this helped  Wink

This is an excellent explanation using plain non-technical words. I learned the same based on what happened after the fork. I am getting coins now too.

If I may, I would like to suggest to dev's and Elbandi to put this under FAQ section, for new miners.

I am mining for 3 weeks now and I was getting 20 coins every 40-60 minutes. It was like that before and after the fork, all the way until 4:30 PM ET.

Did something change today afternoon with pool mining?

I took a screenshot of ROI workers and sorted by efficiency to compare number of coins in the last 20 minutes. Regardless if people were mining with 7 KH or 1 KH. they made no coins. It was never like that before.

The graph show that the pool was down from about 10:10 am to 11:50 am. maybe it that.

No, that outage was done by elbandi who's managing the pool. There was an issue with pool after the fork which he fixed and posted the explanation on previous page.

This seems to be a new issue.

Im also 2:20 hours without receiving coins....

I sent a message to Elbandi and he replied back to me:

"Mined block confirm is 360, that's 12-16 hours. You need to wait longer as other coins.

Elbandi"

I checked, and actually there is a Warning on that matter on http://coinspool.cu.cc/info_roicoin

I guess something has changed.

I think that something is wrong with the pool. For the last 2 hours I'm mining 400 H - 700 H and no coins have been generated. It does show how Hashes vary but no single new coin.

I think that pool just went down. I had all my miners down since last night (daemon version was wrong), and now when I wanted to start them up again, connection failed. Web site is down too.

Maybe it's stupid question, but I have to ask. I am mining using new wallet and several other computers I'm on pool mining. Do I need to do anything (as it will be different chain) with wallet or pool mining (start/restart) Should I just leave it both to mine as usual, overnight?

As far I I know you should be fine. The fork should come and go without any interruption to your wallet or mining. The new wallet has been extensively pre-tested on testnet and we were unable to discover any flaws at all. Come 7 more hours we will know for sure!

2 min. per block  Wink Wink Wink

the pool owner needs to upgrade to v1.1 before the fork, otherwise found blocks will be on the wrong chain.
http://coinspool.cu.cc/info_roicoin still shows the old wallet version.

Good catch! I just tried to find contact info for the pool owner, to have him warned, but no luck   Shocked. I guess there is no point of mining with that pool after the fork unless pool gets upgraded to 1.1.
73 blocks to go  ...

That's just crazy. A person just deposited 589617.10033113 ROI coins. That person will have 13,000,000 coins on March 30, 2019. Even if ROI stays on 0.00000047 BTC, that's around $120K. Lucky one!

It seems that ROI is a great coin to invest into.

I want to send them to myself but how am I going to find address (chose it) of those matured ones, so I can send them to myself? That's the whole issue. I can't find them anywhere as matured ones.

You will need to enable coin control features. If you have done that great but if not - at top of wallet click on settings and then click on options and then click the wallet tab and then check the box that says Enable coin control features then click ok.

Now when you click on send at the upper left you will see an area labeled Coin Control Features. In that area you will see a button labeled Inputs...

Click the Inputs... button and a new window pops up.

You will see columns from left to right - Amount | Input | Interest | Received with label | etc etc

The easiest way to find your matured term deposit is to look at the Input column. Find the input column number that exactly matches how many coins you term deposited. Check that box and click ok.

Now you can put the Pay To: address in there which you already created as a receive address. You can add a label if you like. You must then put the Amount in there and what I always do is look at the Coin Control Features section and you will see Quantity: - Amount: - Fee: - After Fee:

Take your mouse and copy the Amount: and then paste that in the Amount box. Now check the box that says Subtract fee from amount and then send the coins. When you return back to the overview tab you will be able to see in the lower section of the wallet that those coins with the matured interest warning have been removed.

In the future and to make things much easier you can make use of labels. When you create a term deposit give it a label like this: Term Deposit 12-1-2017 3 months 10000 Coins. This way when it matures and you need to hunt it down in the coin control features the label will give you helpful details to find it easier. This becomes more important if you have many term deposits and if you term deposit the same amount of coins numerous times.

The ROI Coin roadmap has us on track to create a full series of video tutorials and this is one of the things that will be covered. Right now the fork is imminent and we are hard at work getting the white paper done before the deadline (3rd quarter 2017) and also busy reworking the website and building out the online paper wallet. Bear with us there is a lot of work to be done but soon the community will have access to full suite of tutorial videos that will cover everything one might need to know.

I  really appreciate the time you spent on writing the answer. That's why I wanted to ask question before the fork, when you might have a few minutes of time.

Trust me, I did everything you described already. I learned my lesson and now I label everything but these two mined coins where among the first ones I have and I deposited them to see how it all works.
You suggested "Find the input column number that exactly matches how many coins you term deposited. " That is an issue.

There is one instance of 120 coins that matured and I can not locate that one. The problem is that amount is exactly 120.0000 and I have several ones on "input" with that exact same amount. I was able to locate another one as it was very specific amount of 120.0002457. I am guessing and hoping that all matured ones are on "Input" list *this one was) and I will just deposit them all at the same time, so I don't need to pick that particular one.

Thanks for all your hard work

One of my term deposit has been showing this - Matured (Warning: this amount is no longer earning interest of any kind)

what do I do now ? How to bring the coins back to my main account so that I can deposit them again

thx

That warning means the term deposit has finished and so the coins are no longer getting any ROI.

You have to now move those coins and "reset" them.

Please go to top of wallet and click "Receive coins" tab and create a new address. You may want to label it something like "Reset Stake Coins 12-12-2017" so you can keep track of things in your wallet.

Now go back to top of wallet and click on "Settings" and then click on "Options"

Now click on "Display" and then find check box "Display coin control features (experts only) and check that box then click apply and click OK

Now back to top of wallet and click "Send Coins"

In the "Pay To: box paste the receive address you made for "Reset Stake Coins 12-12-2017" and then find and click the "Inputs" button

Scroll down and find this term deposit with the warning. Double check and make sure that it is the exact amount and is a perfect match. Check the little box on the left for that entry and click OK

Now look at the Amount: that is displayed and copy that amount.

Now enter that Amount in the Amount: box and click the Send button.

You have now created a new receive address, used coin control features to locate that completed term deposit, sent those coins to yourself, and reset them for staking.

Now when you go to top of wallet and click "Overview" check again and verify that the term deposit coins with the warning is now gone...

Each time a term deposit completes you will need to do this procedure to "reset" it.

Hello there,

I was wondering if someone can help me with "Matured (Warning: this amount is no longer earning interest of any kind) ".

I read details above, but I can't find what is described.

For example:

1. "Now click on "Display" and then find check box "Display coin control features (experts only) and check that box then click apply and click OK" does not exist.
When I go to Display, I only see these options:
User interface language:
Unit to show amounts in:
Third party transaction URLs

2. click the "Inputs" button. Scroll down and find this term deposit with the warning.

I do not see deposit with these warnings under "Inputs" but they are shown on the front screen of wallet under "ROIcoin Term Deposits"

I would like to reset these 2X 120 coins but I can't find them anywhere but on the front screen.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks for clarification CjMapope.

I will take your advise and for more permanent situations, I will take address that is under "file" then "receiving addresses" .

Now, I think my last post was too long and question was lost (tree/forest problem).

For "Solo Mining ROI As Part Of A Cluster", I can use: roiminer.exe, roiminer-aes.exe, roiminer-westmere.exe or roiminer-sandybridge-ivybridge.exe.

Is there any difference in h/s among them and how can I see h/s when I use it? I tried and it doesn't show it.
