XMR, ETH, ETC, RVN, BTG, BTX, ZEN, ZEC ... All pretty easy to mine.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: it's too hot in the room! on: August 20, 2018, 02:24:24 AM
thanks to all, now I have made an idea on how it should be made ...maybe the problem is that the ceiling is too low .

Now the temperature is 34° in the room with all the fans spinning. i really dont understand why it is so. there is a stagnation of heat. it is not really simple solve this problem , someone told me to make a exhaust fan in the ceiling but before doing a so hard modification i try with fans at the windows like in the pics posted but putting hot air out , the one that i put in the dry wall does nothing

You need intake and exhaust and they shouldn't be on the same wall.  For the number of GPU's that I have, I pulled in cold air during the winter from one window and left the other window open as well.  That worked in the winter, because it got so cold, but it wouldn't have worked when summer came around.

I can't tell from your pictures what that fan in the wall is doing.  Is it pulling fresh air into your mining room from whatever is on the other side of that wall?  You might be ok if your intake fan is on one side of the room, gpu's in the middle, and exhaust out the window on the other side of the room.  You also might want to consider a more powerful fan.  Cheap 20" box fan to pull hot air out of the room might not be enough.

Wow... what a sexy setup bro gotminer

I'm really impressed on the cleanliness of your mining cave

carpet floor and a well ventilated room

looking at your GPU babies are seems happy doing mining

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

Thanks.  It's just a spare upstairs bedroom in my house.  It's not perfect.  Sun hits that side of the house and it's also directly above my garage, which is not climate controlled, but it works with the proper ventilation.

oh very hard question, some miner believe to tomorow days and can mine in non profitable points when electricity cost higher then income
The thing that is idiotic - why would you spend $5 of electricity mining to effectively buy $3 of coin everyday with a mining rig.  Stop the miner and spend the $5 to buy $5 of coin on an exchange.

Because you've already invested money in hardware and don't want to sell it at a loss.  Why not do both?  Not having all of your eggs in one basket is nice.

Mathematically that doesn't make sense. If the coin never rebounds, you're just losing money.

I shut mine off when it's been in the negative for more than a couple days. In winter, though, totally different story, as I heat my house with them.

Sure, you have to believe that the coin will rebound.  Or just trade it for bitcoin now and wait several years (hoping that the value of btc will be much much higher).

I am continuing because I hope history will repeat itself. Last year the price of a bitcoin in August was 3000 bitcoin and the mining rewards were really low but from end of September up to December the price of a bitcoin spiked up to the 20000 bitcoin point and everybody was happy.

I am only still mining hoping that history will repeat itself but this time from 6500 dollars which actually is a bitcoin , I hope it goes up to 45000 dollars for a bitcoin.

Everyone knows btc will go up with time.
Question is why miners are so stupid to mine in negative and wear down hardware ? Difficulty slows down in bear marker but still increases.

Cash can bring in more coin and also raise up your  average cost basis for trading to pay less taxes, even help to recover faster from bear market if more people buy in directly

Because difficulty will only to increase.  You might be able to mine 2 coins with your hashing power today, but six months from now, it could be reduced to 1 coin with the same hashing power.  If you look at the late 2017 mining craze, you can see that those high daily profits didn't last long.  Your hardware is also going to decrease in value over time.  I think that if you're going to shut down mining rigs, because you're operating at a loss, the hardware needs to be sold off.

The answer is different for everyone depending on electricity cost, if the hardware has already paid for itself, if you actually believe that the price of the coin you're mining today will increase in value in the future.

That's 31 gpu's in a small room.  Since the point I took that picture, I've closed the second window and put a filter between the screen in the other window and the intake fan.  It also works just fine with filter only.  The exhaust fan pulls air in through the window, but the filter does slow it down some.  I also have 20" box fans on the back of each mining rig blowing air through them.

Not only hot but how can you sleep with all that noise.

When did he ever say that he was sleeping in his mining room? Lol.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy GPUs? on: August 14, 2018, 11:37:30 PM
I think that it is good time to buy GPUs, but there is very small profit at the moment. In few months there will be update of Ethereum network and profit will be decreased more. Also there will be new powerful GPUs. So I do not know if it's worth buying a GPU at the moment or not.

I'd say it's a good time for a gamer to buy a 1080ti.

Never heard of that site, but you can short btc on Bitmex.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: August 14, 2018, 02:02:21 AM
Jumped on Cryptopia for a few hours after the tweet went out.  As high as 500 sats from what I saw.  Cryptobridge was behind on price.  Looks like volume is good on Bittrex compared to the other two, as of now.  Not much of a price increase though.  Maybe 10%.  Pumped on the news (over 40%), but when trading actually began on Bittrex, it came back down.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub has started accepting crypto on: August 13, 2018, 01:39:46 AM
Great news. I am generally happy with any positive news. In my opinion, recently there is very little positive in the crypto world.

And you are generally uneducated.  Thanks for the contribution.  Lol ...  Grin Grin Grin
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub has started accepting crypto on: August 13, 2018, 01:39:07 AM
Truly this is the first occasion when I heared aboit this news and the principal thing that surface at the forefront of my thoughts is that cryptographic money is beginning to be immense and sooner can be utilized as a part everything being equal, well I don't know how much individuals will pay for porn however without a doubt this is s awesome begin for the crypto to be cooperated in all mediums.

You're several months late.  You realize it was a promo scheme, yes?  LOL ... Go ahead though ... Buy up that Verge.

118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH mining, need help. on: August 12, 2018, 08:10:24 PM
Check whattomine.com to get an idea of profitability.

I checked whattomine and it gives me vega64 as the best option with 40MH/s, while the other cards you suggested have less hashrate. since my electricity is going to cost me almost zero, I'm more interested in finding the best GPU to mine ETH. I think people have a problem with mining because of their electricity fees, they consider other options to ensure the most profit based on their power costs.

1080Ti has 35MH/s and seems to be somewhat better than other cards. what I actually need is to know how I could reach the fastest ROI with "free" electricity? I want to know that.

1080ti will give you 50MH on ETH with the pill.

LTC TO THE MOON!

You sure your monitor is not upside down?

Checked the msrkets and most things are still down. Maybe a small bounce here and there,

Sold half of my position in ETC, during the Coinbase bump up, that was the only that put a smile on my face yesterday.

Lessons learnt -- the top 10 coins will bump up when BTC recovers nearer to SEC ETF's ruling in Sept and the Bitcoin's "year end effect".

Hoard and invest, key Top 10 coins.

Could be wrong, but I think the sec will continue to delay etf decisions until the first quarter of 2019.  How many proposals are there now that they are looking at?  10? 15?  I think the one that CBOE is involved with has the best chance of approval, but we'll see.
120  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i Exchange Paypal To Btc on: August 12, 2018, 02:26:54 AM
Is this safe? not fraud, if this is safe, give us a testomoni or guarantee that proves that your service is safe.

Why would you even consider this?  Send your paypal funds to your bank account and then transfer those funds to a trusted exchange.  This is why so many people get scammed.  They try to buy btc in a way that a child would be skeptical of.  I just don't get it.
