Getting Started:
1. Start up galaxycoin-qt, wait for it to load, then exit. 2. Put galaxycoin.conf (see sample file above) in your c:/users/**yourcomputername**/AppData/Roaming/galaxycoin 3. restart galaxycoin-qt, and you should connect and sync. 4. For solo mining, launch cgminer or the mining program you use and begin mining. cgminer ex: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localhost:19991 -u **yourusername** -p **password** (without **) Please check the last line, cgminer ex: It use the same port as CosmosCoin, so at least I can see GLX copied CMC's ANN thread and modified it.

I see, cosmoscoin-qt.exe and galaxycoin-qt.exe don't run together.
Hmm galaxycoin is a derivative of cosmoscoin? I think so.

Thanks for the help, I kept deleting / redownloading the chain and eventually it worked. But now I get the "checkpoint is too old" message again
THis warning is ok, just ignore it.

Cosmoscoin
Sorry my bad, i never saw the cosmocoin [ANN] thread or i would have included it. CMC has the following features: - Proof of work/proof of stake (Resistence to 51% attack) - modified Scrypt algorithm - Transacation Comment like FlorinCoin - 0 transaction fee - 60 seconds block time - 3.5 coins per block - Day generation: 5040 coins or 1440 blocks - diff re-target every block - Trade confirm: 3 - Mine confirm: 30 - fair start, no premine - port: Connection: 19990 and RPC Port:19991 The ANN thread of CMC is : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=245938.0 , you can find more info about CMC and discuss some topics you interested in there.

why so many people mining GLX, the hash power is 75M now.
It's 150 M now. 23:51:03  getmininginfo 23:51:03  { "blocks" : 1404, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 1.36536939, "networkhashps" : 146361486, "errors" : "", "pooledtx" : 0, "stakepower" : 0, "testnet" : false }

Hi all,
The BTC/LTC networks are currently very well supplied with miners throwing their equipment at them and I like the idea of Bitcoin being regarded as "Gold" and Litecoin as "Silver".
With the recent flood of new coins, I am currently looking into focusing my mining efforts on one of them. The reason for that is the underlying trends that 1) new, much faster hardware is being connected on a daily basis and 2) the existing hardware is becoming more and more inefficient, being boosted by 1).
I think that when the BTC/LTC difficulty gets too high for the existing hardware to be profitable, people will switch to mining other coins rather than selling the hardware (at least a lot of them should). This should trigger a boost in mining power for the other coins.
So my question is: In which Altcoin Basket would you put your eggs right now, if you had to?
I think CMC could be the most important egg in your basket.

It started yesterday, when I got the checkpoint is too old message, so I tried to delete/redownload the blockchain to fix that.
Hey Bro, I never see this error before, please send more contents in your debug.log and we will help you to solve this. Here is my suggestion: 1. Download CosmosCoin version 1.6 2. Delete all files located in %appdata%/CosmosCoin except the wallet.dat and CosmosCoin.conf 3. Open CosmosCoin-qt.exe and wait the download of the blockchain, check whether you still have the error or not

in some chinese exchange? Oh, we never thought about this, but we think it's not the good time to make it online right now, CMC still need sometime for further development.
